Character Synopsis:
David Hale knew he could be a complicated person.

Growing up, he had always admired his father and looked up to him but he was always left behind in his brother's shadow. Although he was tired of being left behind in his shadow, David truly did care about his family and wanted nothing more than to help keep his family and the rest of the pack safe— for a chance to prove himself that he can be brave and powerful like his father and brother, strong enough to protect the pack.

But then, when David and his brother were out with his two sons, a group of hunters led by Kimberly Argent set their house on fire with the intention of killing them. By the time that David and his brother got back to the burning house with his two sons, there was very few members that he and his brother were able to help, but the fire had still taken a lot of lives of the other pack members.

Including the lives of his wife and their parents.

With his brother as the alpha, they led his two sons and the remaining survivors to hide, soon arriving to New York City and hiding out as they all pretended to be nothing more than ordinary citizens. But during the entire time that they were hiding, David was left with a burning anger inside of him and he wanted nothing more than revenge.

To see the Argents perish.

He wanted to make them suffer for taking away his wife, his parents, and the rest of the pack.

But he wasn't strong enough yet.

Until one day, after discovering that there was another family of hunters somewhere in the city, David knew that it was only a matter of time before they would get found. His brother, however, wouldn't give in to his brother's demands that they had to leave as his brother refused to leave his own son on his own without him.

And so, Daniel gave his power and title as alpha to his brother.

While his older brother remained in the city, David led his sons and the remaining survivors out of the city. But while they were in hiding, David trained himself, his sons, and the remaining survivors as he prepared himself to get stronger and stronger— all while keeping an eye out for the Argents to finally get his revenge.

But when he hears a howl— a howl that he knew could take away his power and the only chance he had at getting his revenge, he travels back to New York City with his sons and the remaining survivors to paid a visit to his dear big brother, he is determined to stop his nephew from reaching his potential to save his own power.

Even if it means that he has to kill his own nephew.

But what David didn't see coming was that in the end, teaming up with his nephew may be his only chance at stopping the Argents from killing their kind— for good.

Clarissa Hale - deceased wife. David had met her when he was seventeen during his junior year where the two fell in love and eventually getting married at twenty-one. Unfortunately, Clarissa is one of the people that died during the house fire, leading David down the path of vengeance against the Argents.

Derek Matthew Hale - biological eldest son. Before the house fire, David and Derek had a natural father-son bond but after the house fire, David was determined to make the Argents suffer for what they did and since at the time his father is the alpha, Derek is forced to go along with his father's plans whenever he agrees or not.

However, even though Derek will eventually join his cousin's pack, the father-son relationship between the two will be forged without Derek being forced to obey his father's orders as David does care about his son and wants whats best for him.

Scott Michael Hale - biological youngest son. Before the house fire, David and Scott had a natural father-son bond but after the house fire, David was determined to make the Argents suffer for what they did and since at the time his father is the alpha, Scott is forced to go along with his father's plans whenever he agrees or not.

Natalie Blair Black - biological niece from his brother's side. At first, the two are enemies due to David planning to kill her brother but when he teams up with them to stop the Argents, the uncle and niece will develop somewhat of an frenemy relationship while at the same time, the two somehow find themselves slowly starting to tolerate each other as uncle and niece.

Physical Appearance:
David is a young athletic, attractive, and muscular man with blonde hair and hazel-brown eyes. He is often seen wearing a plaid shirt over a T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Occasionally, he wears a black leather jacket over his shirt as the jacket used to belong to his father.

Personality:
At first glance, David is an intelligent, vengeful, and power-hungry man. Like all shapeshifters, his wolf senses makes him very good at reading people and can tell if they're to be trusted or not. He believes that as shapeshifters, they need to be more ruthless and stronger, especially when it comes to dealing with hunters— his belief in this only grows when his parents, his wife, and the other members of the pack are killed in the house fire by Kimberly Argent, which slowly starts his path of vengeance.

Due to being blinded by vengeance, David is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his power and grow stronger, which is why he is determined to kill his nephew, Henry before his nephew could reach his full potential and steal his power away from him. However, when he sees that there is no other option but to team up with his nephew in order to stop the Argents from killing their kind, David is willing to do so and it's due to this teamwork that it allows both David and Henry to become frenemies in a way and over time, the two slowly find themselves able to tolerate each other as uncle and nephew.

By then, it's revealed that while David is ruthless, intelligent, and murderous (as he won't hesitate to kill his enemies if needed too), he can also be protective, compassionate, and caring towards his family.

• Wolf Physiology - Due to being a shapeshifter, David has super strength, speed, agility/reflexes, durability, senses, healing, and shapeshifting. Now, since David is considered to be the strongest since he is the alpha at the moment until Henry discovers his full potential and takes his power away from him, David is now at the same level of strength and speed as his brother or any other ordinary shapeshifter.

• Super Strength - This ability is common in all shapeshifters as David is able to break or snap thick chains, punch through solid stone walls, or lifting grown adults and throwing them through solid surfaces and across rooms with ease. During this time as the alpha, David was the strongest of any other shapeshifters but when Henry takes his power away, David's strength matches his brother or any other ordinary shapeshifters.

• Super Senses - Due to his supernatural heritage, David's senses; smell, hearing, eyesight, taste, and touch have all been heightened. However, his hearing is extremely sensitive to loud sounds.

• Electricity - It can weaken or kill him depending on the voltage.

• Wolfsbane - It can weaken or kill him depending on the potency, strain, and method of exposure. However, in order for all shapeshifters to get the Wolfsbane out of their system before it can do any damage, it must be burned out of their system.

• Full Moon - This one would be from when he was a lot younger in the past and still learning. But now that he is older and has full control over his wolf side, the full moon no longer affects him. However, that isn't the case during an lunar eclipse as all shapeshifters are vulnerable to the lunar eclipse during the period where the moon is in the Earth's umbral shadow, which causes all shapeshifters to lose their powers, including their super strength, healing, and shapeshifting ability.
