SYNOPSIS: 

𝐈𝐕𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐋𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐄. She was ambitious, determined, headstrong, and shrewd, everything that Slytherin stood for. Greatness hummed in her veins and she knew it. She was destined to be one of the greatest witches the world had ever seen and she would make sure that no one would stand in her way.

The Harlow family had always heralded greatness, they were renowned for being one of the oldest wizarding families still thriving. Tradition was the one thing Ivy had always learned, something she was told to hold close to her heart, as all Harlow's did. Do not stray from tradition, follow the footsteps of those before you to walk amongst the stars just as they did. Be a Harlow.

But that was until Ivy's mother broke the code.

Family was a complicated thing for Ivy. She had never met her father, he was just some hotshot wizard who knocked her mother up and wanted nothing to do with her. But her mother, she was different. She was a Slytherin too, just as the rest of the Harlow family had been. She was intelligent, wise beyond her years, and impulsive, so very impulsive. She was a great young witch, everybody knew that.

But then she fell into the wrong crowd.

Like very many Slytherins, Ivy's mother fell in with the Deatheaters, seeking a glory that not even the Harlow name could achieve. She participated in the many cruel acts of the Deatheaters, not giving a second thought to the reckless, malevolent mess she left behind.

Ivy tried to believe that it was because she was young, she was easily manipulated, she didn't know what she was doing. But it was hard to justify the excuses with the crimes. That task was made even harder when her Grandmother, who Ivy now lived with, fervently despised her own daughter, claiming she tarnished the Harlow name.

And now, the Harlow reputation fell to Ivy, who was about to begin her very first year of school at Hogwarts. Ready to follow in the Harlow footsteps and be the greatest Slytherin witch to ever step foot inside Hogwarts, no matter how much of her life she had to sacrifice to do so. 

But after an unfortunate incident with a certain remembrall, Ivy was pushed into an odd friendship with none other than the infamous Harry Potter.  Torn between her allegiance to her house, to Draco and the other Slytherin's, and the boy who took the fall for her. Who, despite not even knowing who Ivy was, got himself in trouble so that she wouldn't. And that was all it took for Ivy's perfect fantasy of a life to take a drastic turn towards a future she never envisioned for herself. 

A future centered around the boy who lived.

↳Ivy is not naturally book smart like Hermoine, she puts in monumental effort and is determined to be as smart as Hermoine

↳Ivy becomes Slytherin's beater in the second year with Draco, and she trains ridiculously hard to make sure she is the best

↳ Ivy is friends with both Harry and the gang as well as Draco because both the Harlow and Malfoy family are big wizarding families 

↳ Ivy is not bad because she is a Slytherin, she is just ruthless at getting what she wants

↳ Harry and Ivy start their relationship around the Order of the Phoenix
