SYNOPSIS:

𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐍 𝐁𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐄. Her entire life, she knew there was something different about her, a part of her that was always destined for more. She had felt the power that hummed in her bones, the determination that ran through her veins, the amnesty that captivated her heart. She knew she was fated for greatness, that her name would be etched into the stars for centuries to come.

But on her home planet of Aquilae, she was nothing. She was a servant, her life shackled to the slavery that ran rampant in her home. She was worth less than the dirt that coated her owner's boots. She was chained to a system that saw her as nothing more than a menial laborer, who only would come of value when she turned 12 and could be sold for prostitution.

Her entire life she had feared for the day that she would turn 12, knowing that she would be traded for money, her body turned into a slab of meat for men to use at their own disposal. Dreading the day her already meager freedom would be reduced to ash, burning in the raging fire that was the Aquilae slave trade.

But it was on her 12th birthday that Jedi Ruma Bohr saved Astra's from her treacherous fate.

Master Bohr saw the potential in Astra, sensing her strength with the force. So she decided to save the child, offering her refuge at the Jedi Temple in Coruscant. The Jedi Council permitted Astra to become a young padawan, joining the ranks of the Jedi Order and training to be a protector of the universe.

Astra trained under her new Master, Jedi Bohr, and honed in on her use of the force. She spent every moment of every day training, accepting nothing less than perfection. Not taking her only chance of freedom for granted. She would be the greatest warrior in the galaxy, saving all the children that grew up as she did from a worse fate.

That molten fire that burned in her bones grew so strong that she thought it would never falter. She thought nothing could ever deter her from the path to being on the Jedi Council, revered as one of the greatest Jedi in all of history.

But then she met Anakin Skywalker, the boy that threatened everything she had ever believed in.

Anakin and Astra first met when the Queen of Naboo, Padme Amidala, had an assassination attempt on her life. General Kenobi and Master Bohr were sent to protect the Queen and bring the Queen's assassin to justice. But the two padawans ended up experiencing more than just a mission. They encountered their first-ever friendship.

Anakin and Astra souls entwined, creating an eternal bond that not even the strongest of droids could tear apart. It was ironic that the two former slaves turned Jedi prodigies would become allies, trusting each other more than they trusted themselves. Such a beautiful relationship the two shared, creating something so pure amongst a time of Galactic war.

And Astra fell for him. But Anakin loved Padme.

How cruel fate was for Astra who thought that all her pain and misery was over. Who finally though that her life had become the perfect fantasy she had envisioned for herself. Who finally though that the void of darkness she had endured was over, replaced by only the brightest of stars that turned her whole life alight.

Astra, heartbroken from her unrequited love, fled with her master to fight on the other side of the galaxy, leaving Anakin to question who his heart truly longed for. Whether his heart beated for the Queen of Naboo or the Jedi who wouldn't seem to leave his thoughts. Who captivated his mind and haunted his dreams.

And oh what a tragedy it all turned out to be.
