Alissa Channing was sentenced five years in Litchfield Federal Prison for being an accomplice to second degree murder. All because she loved a man so much, she did practically anything for him. Including, covering up a murder. It was unfortunate really. How did she always manage to get herself into these situations? First it was her parents, now it was her boyfriend, or well, ex boyfriend now. He got sentenced to life for his crimes so it was safe to say she wasn't gonna be hearing from him anytime soon.

She was shoved into a van, four more girls with her. Two of them were sisters. One of them had big glasses with auburn hair. The other one had a long dark brunette hair and appeared a little taller, maybe older too. Another girl had short black hair, half of it shaved off. And the last one had a nice afro with clear glasses, similar to the other one. Alissa silently found herself wondering what they all did. She wasn't scared, but she was nervous. Prison was nerve-wracking at first.

"What's your name?" The older sister with the black hair questioned towards the girl with an afro who sat across her. "Sienna. You?" She spoke, she looked around mid 20s. The two sisters looked to be younger than 20. Meanwhile the quiet girl with the shaved head appeared to be at least early 20s. "Barbara. And this is my sister Carol." The girl named Barbara, spoke.

They broke out into a conversation, Alissa blocking them out. Her mind was racing with so many thoughts. But it was hard to think when all the girls were suddenly having a full blown conversation. "Hey, what's your name?" Carol kicked Alissa's shin, snapping the young girl from her running thoughts. She looked up in confusion, seeing them all look at her. "Huh?"

"What's your name?" Carol asked again, a bit more impatiently.

"Oh. Uh, it's Alissa. Alissa Channing." Fuck. She probably shouldn't have said her last name. Everyone always asked her the same question, and she couldn't lie, cause it was true.

"Oh shit. You're the daughter of that crazy serial killer couple, aren't you?" The girl with that shaved head, who's name was Lucy, had questioned. She clearly knew a lot about serial killers if she guessed that on the spot. It usually took people a minute to process it. Alissa diverted her eyes to the floor, "Yeah. That's me."

Carol smirked, "Cool." Whilst her reaction was chill, Sienna and Lucy both scoot away from Alissa, Barbara feigning a creeped out look.

Alissa sighed, closing her eyes. The ride was finally over, the guards coming inside to unlock the shackles that attached them to van. They led the group of girls into the building, stripping them of their clothing and doing the usual uncomfortable strip searches. Lucy and Sienna were assigned to C-Block, meanwhile, Alissa, Carol, and Barbara were assigned to D-Block.

Alissa was assigned to a cell upstairs, immediately going towards it and skipping dinner. She didn't have the appetite anyways. Alissa stepped inside, the bunk was neat and tidy, though it had many items laying around. She seen the bottom bunk was clearly taken so she set her stuff on the top bunk. A knock on the door made her jump, startled. She turned around, seeing a girl who had brunette hair in two braids, and a book her hand. She was quite pretty.

"Did I startle you?" The girl asked, stepping inside her bunk, unbothered by her new bunkie.

"Uh, yeah. I normally don't get scared but I feel like everyone's been staring at me since I got here so I'm a little on edge." Alissa explained, brushing her hair back. "Yeah, I heard. You must be the one with the killer parents, right?" She sat down on the bottom bunk, setting her book to the side.

"That's me. I guess news travels fast around here." Alissa mumbles, taking her stuff out of the sack. "Yup. I'm Frieda, by the way. We usually use last names around here though." Frieda said with a shrug. Alissa smiles for a slight second, glad someone was finally acting normal around here. "Well, I'm Alissa Channing. It's nice to meet you, Frieda. And thanks for being so, normal."

"Sure. I'm the last person to judge you." She said, sticking out her hand. Alissa smiled warmly, taking her hand and shaking it softly. "I wished everyone else got that memo, but hey, you get what you get, right?" Frieda nods, Alissa letting go of her hand.

"Is it okay if I put my stuff here?" Alissa asked, referring to the bag that held all her toiletries. "Go ahead. I don't mind." Frieda says, gesturing for her to do what she pleased. "Thanks." Alissa set her stuff on the table before climbing up to the top bunk and setting her bed. Once she was done, Frieda stood up and set her on Alissa's thigh. "You wanna come with me? Get away from all this?" She offered.

Alissa couldn't help but let her mind drift, seeing Frieda's hand there. Quickly did she blink away those thoughts. Frieda was just being kind, it wasn't like that. "Sure." Alissa climbed off the top, following Frieda downstairs. A few girls stared at them, but most of them were all focused solely on another table where the two Denning sisters were telling them a bunch of stories. They barely got there and even they made more friends than Alissa.

Alissa followed Frieda into the way back of the library, seeing a whole spot there, even fake plants and a lamp on the wall. It was pretty cool. "Whoa. Is this even allowed?" Alissa whispers as Frieda sat down on the pillows against the wall. "The CO's don't really bother to come back here or the library in general, but no it's not allowed. It's not like they care though." Frieda shrugs, grabbing Alissa's hand and pulling her to sit down next to her.

"Thanks for being so nice." Alissa turned her head to look at the older girl, their faces inches apart since they sat so close. "No problem. So, what'd you do to get in here?" Frieda asked, leaning her head back on the wall.

"It's a long story."

"I got time."

Alissa walked to the library, a pack of smokes in her hand as she excitedly made her way to the back. She usually met Frieda there whenever she could. Majority of them time Alissa preferred to sit in the bunk and play with her cards. As she headed towards the back, she paused, hearing a bunch of laughter, and it wasn't Frieda's laughter, seeing as Frieda hardly laughed. She turned the corner, pausing at the scene in front of her.

Carol Denning sat in her spot, laughing loudly with a magazine in her hands. Frieda sat on the makeshift chair in the corner, looking bored with life but that was her everyday look. "Uh, what's going on here?" Alissa questions, a bit confused.

Carol and Frieda both look up at her voice. "Mm, you're that dyke girl with the murder parents! Am I right?" Carol grinned, pointing at her. "Uhm, yeah. Not sure where you got dyke from though," Alissa pursed her lips, glancing at Frieda who simply shrugged. Carol shrugs, "you just look like it." Well going by that logic, Alissa would assume that Carol was one too. Seeing as she had that whole 80s lesbian look going for her.

"I'm Carol." She introduces. Alissa furrowed her brows, looking at Carol oddly. "I know. We were on the same van ride here." Carol scrunched her brows, not recalling that. "I don't remember that. That was so long ago!" It was literally only a few weeks...but hey, she must've had bad memory or something.

"Right uh. Frieda, I'll just catch up with you later." Alissa went to walk away until Carol stopped her, noticing the pack of cigs in her hand. "No stay! Where'd you get these babies? You blow off a guard?" Carol took the pack from her hands, taking one out and lighting it up. Alissa grimaced, "No. They were a gift for my mom's birthday. One of the guards knew her." She shrugged.

"Cool. Sit." Carol grabbed her wrist, pulling her to sit. Once Alissa was sat, Carol pulled Frieda down too. She put her arms over them, the cig hanging from her lips. "We are gonna rule this fucking place! Ooh, Barb's gonna so jealous." Carol cheered.

Alissa pursed her lips, taking a cig and lighting it up. Frieda did the same. "Ooh, we could sell right here. This is way better than the showers. The steam always frizzed up my fuckin' hair." Carol said, flipping the magazine back open, a ton of men in it. Alissa grimaced, Carol noticing that and looking at her in suspicion. "Ah, so you are a dyke, aren't you?"

Alissa shrugged, "I don't know. I never been with a girl."

Carol raised a brow, exhaling the smoke. "Well do you need help?"

Alissa wasn't couldn't sure what she was implying but she shook her head anyways. "No thanks."

Carol shrugs, "Just don't say I didn't offer. I know a ton of cookies who would love you if they weren't so scared of you. They're such pussies around here. You look like the human definition of a cupcake. Right, Frieda?" Carol turned to Frieda with a grin. Frieda nods, she always did think Alissa looked soft. Hopefully she would grow out of it though. It wasn't the best look to have in prison. It meant you were more of a target to get fucked with.

The Channing girl looked at her questionably. "Uhm, thanks?"
