SUMMARY

Anastasia and Anne Shirley did not experience the best childhood as orphans, with going to different homes and dealing with the other girls who bullied Anne nonstop, Ana having to stand up for her twin sister and ending up with a black eye or two on several occasions.

Fortunately for the Shirley sisters, their days in the orphanage were over when two siblings take them in accidentally, but end up becoming a happy family in Green Gables.

While the twins embrace their new family life, they also discover different kinds of love; for Ana, that discovery began when she met a boy by the name of Gilbert Blythe, who would forever change her life when she realizes he could be her lover.
