"Montana, wake up, you'll be late for your first day of school." Roni called from the kitchen.

Montana woke up to the California sun peaking through the curtains of her bedroom. Turning over on her side, she glanced at the date on the alarm clock, which read, September 3rd, 1984. Getting out of bed, she walked to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and walked back into the bedroom and chose a pair of blue mom jeans and a black sweater. She quickly pulled the clothes on, and slipped on a pair of white converse shoes, and found her backpack.

After quickly eating her breakfast, she turned to Roni. "Bye." Montana said.

"Bye sweetheart, have a good day." Roni said.

Montana smiled and nodded in reply. Stella always kissed Montana's forehead, when she would send her off to school. How she missed her mother. After closing the door behind her, she saw Daniel walking out of his apartment as well, with sunglasses over his eyes

"Morning Daniel." Montana smiled. "So what's up with the sunglasses? Going for some type of edgy look?" she added with raised brow.

It was Daniel's turn to laugh as the two walked down the steps. If the blonde he met at the beach caused him to get beat every time he breathed her way, maybe he should stay with this blonde instead. "No, I'm using them to cover my black eye." Daniel said

"I'm sorry about your black eye. How did your mom take it?" Montana asked as she clutched the straps of her backpack

"She freaked out of course." Daniel said

"Did you tell her how you got it?" Montana asked

"I told her I fell off my bike." Daniel said

"And she believed you?" Montana questioned

"Yes she did." Daniel laughed

Montana laughed as well. "Wow, you must be an excellent liar."

"Maybe. Well would you like to go to school together?" Daniel asked.

"Sure, how are we gonna get there?" Montana asked

Daniel gestured to his bike. "You can stand on the back while I pedal." Daniel suggested and Montana shrugged. "Yeah, sure, all right." she smiled

Montana stood on the pegs of the bike and grabbed onto Daniel's shoulders, Daniel pedaled the bike as fast as he could, making Montana grip him tightly. "Daniel, slow down, I don't want to get a head injury on the first day of school!" the beautiful blonde laughed. Soon they pulled up to the school, and Daniel parked his bike. "Thanks for the ride." she smiled as she hopped off the pegs

"No problem." Daniel replied as the two headed towards the entrance to the school.

"I'll see you at lunch." Montana smiled as she gave him a gentle wave and walked away, his eyes following her until she disappeared into the crowd of students.

"Yeah, see ya." Daniel mumbled

In the office, Montana was greeted by the elderly secretary named Cindy, who comes to all of the school functions. After receiving her schedule, and being given her clothes for PE, the blonde left the office and walked into the crowded hallway. Not watching where she was going, she bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry."

"No. It's my fault I should have been watching where I was going." She heard a familiar voice say. It was none other than Ali Mills. "Montana!" Ali happily smiled as she embraced the taller blonde.

Montana smiled as she returned Ali's embrace. "Hey Ali. Sorry I bumped into you, should've been watching where I was going, but it's a bit crowded."

Ali laughed as she pulled away from the embrace and the two began walking down the hall. "Don't even worry about that. What's your first class?"

Montana looked at her schedule, then at Ali. "PE, where's the field?."

"I have that class as well, I'll show you where the field is." Ali smiled

"Thank you." Montana smiled. When Montana smiled, Ali couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance the taller blonde had to Johnny.

"You're welcome. Also, there's cheerleading tryouts, you want to try out as well?" Ali asked

"Sure, I mean, why not?" Montana said.

"Great, you're our new best friend and we could use you on the cheer team." Ali smiled as she linked her arm with Montana's.

If only she could tell Ali who she really was, maybe Ali could figure out why she was sent here, and maybe she could figure out how to help her and how to get her back home. All she wants is to meet her father, but after that little show on the beach, she doesn't know what version of Johnny she will see.

On the soccer field, after Montana changed into the proper PE attire, which consisted of a green shirt, gray shorts and sneakers, she pulled her long blonde hair up in a ponytail and waited for Ali.

While Montana waited for Ali, she saw Daniel standing on the field. Montana smiled as she walked up to Daniel, but her smile faded when she heard Freddy teasing him. "Hey, karate kid, let's see the moves!"

"Come on, man. He knows how to get his butt kicked," one of Freddy's friends said

They ran off after teasing Daniel some more, and Montana rolled her eyes at them. She felt bad for him, especially his black eye that her father had given him. "Just ignore them Daniel." Montana said

"Hey think fast."

Montana and Daniel turned their heads and smiled to find Ali approaching Daniel with a soccer ball, and threw it towards him, as he caught it. "Hi." Daniel smiled as he held the soccer ball in his hand

"Hi, hey Montana." Ali smiled, then it faded when she saw Daniel's eye. "Ooh, your eye."

"Oh, don't worry. It looks worse than it feels, believe me," Daniel said.

"Yeah, I hope so," Ali said. "Uh, listen, I never got a chance to thank you."

Daniel shrugged. "Oh, no. That was nothing. I'm just sorry about your radio."

Ali looked down at the ground, as she placed her hands in the pockets of her hoodie. "Yeah, I'm more sorry about your eye. I mean, I guess you should've just given it to him."

"Why? It wasn't his right?" Daniel asked

Ali smiled, then replied. "Yeah, it wasn't his."

"See that? We think alike already," Daniel said.

"You know what else we do alike?" Ali asked.

Ali grabbed the soccer ball from Daniel's hand and started to juggle with it like he had shown her and Montana the night before.

"Hey, you've been practicing." Daniel smiled and Ali laughed

"Cheerleaders over here." the cheer coach said

"Oh, I gotta go." Ali smiled as she handed the soccer ball to Daniel. "C'mon Montana."

"I'll see you." Daniel smiled at Ali

"Ok. Bye." Ali smiled as she and Montana turned to walk away

"Bye-bye." Daniel said. "Hey, you got a name?"

Ali turned around but continued walking to the cheerleaders. "Ali with an i. Hey what's your name?" she smiled brightly

"Daniel, with an l." Daniel said, making Ali laugh.

"I'll see you later." Ali laughed happily as she and Montana jogged over to the cheerleaders.

"Yeah, it's obvious you two have a connection." Montana laughed, and she and Ali playfully bumped shoulders.

Montana, Ali and the cheerleaders began doing the cheer routines with Ali leading, as she was the cheer captain. Montana was next to Ali, and Susan and Barbara were behind them.

All was going well until Montana noticed her father looking at Bobby, and made a dead motion to him as the two were watching Daniel. Bobby made an okay gesture, then huddled in a group with Tommy and Jimmy.

Montana and the cheerleaders continued on with the cheer routine. Ali did a back handspring, and Montana did a herky jump ending in the splits.

Ali and Montana watched the Cobra Kais carefully as they began to taunt Daniel. The two girls slowed their movements. The coach blew the whistle and Daniel, Bobby, Tommy, and Jimmy took the field with a bunch of other boys who were trying out.

Someone passed the ball to Daniel and he started making his way down the field, shuffling the ball through his feet as he went. Bobby slid to the ground, knocking Daniel's legs out from underneath him, but making it look like he was kicking the ball.

"Have a nice trip?" Bobby mocked.

Daniel ran at him and grabbed him by the waist, bringing him to the ground, Daniel got on top of Bobby and punched him in the face.

"Hey, nobody hits me! I'm gonna tear your face off!" Bobby yelled as the coach pulled Daniel off of him and pushed him into the crowd. Tommy grabbed Daniel while some another boy grabbed Bobby.

"Kill him, Bobby! Kill him!" Tommy encouraged, while holding Daniel back

"Get out! There's no place on this team for that kind of crap." The coach yelled at Daniel.

"He hooked me, man!" Daniel shouted in defense.

"I said out of here!" The coach demanded, pointing off the field.

"This school sucks man! It sucks!" Daniel shouted before storming off the field.

Montana turned to Ali as she watched her friend slow her movements, and watch as Daniel walked off the field. "You think we should help him?" Montana asked

"I think it's best if we stay here." Ali said

Montana nodded in reply as she continued with the cheer routine, but with slowed movements like Ali. She watched as her father stood on the sidelines laughing with his friends. This version of Johnny truly was different than the Johnny she knew. Noticing the far away look on her friend's face, Ali nudged her to see if she was okay. "Hey, Montana, are you okay?"

Montana turned her head to the shorter blonde next to her and smiled warmly before she replied, "Yes, I'm all right."

After cheer tryouts, the cheer coach announced which girls made the cheer team and which ones did not. Montana of course made the team, although, she didn't care if she did, or did not, she just enjoyed athletics. She and Ali walked back to the high school, chatting the whole way, grabbed their books from their lockers, which coincidentally, was right next to one another's, shared an embrace, and went their separate ways to their respective classes.

In English IV, Montana took her seat near the back and started taking out her things when two boys slid into the seats on both sides of her. One had bleached blonde hair and brown eyes, and the other had brown hair and blue eyes. She remembered them from the beach party and the soccer field. "Hi doll." the bleach blonde greeted with a smile

"Hey." the brunette greeted with a smile

Montana smiled warmly at the two boys. Despite everything, she still wanted to remain as cordial with everyone as possible. If she learned anything from Once Upon a Time, changing the events of the past could lead to catastrophic consequences. "Hi." she greeted.

"Are you new here?" the brunette asked

Montana warmly smiled as she opened her notebook then looked at the brunette then replied, "Yes, I am."

"Name's Bobby, Bobby Brown, and this is my buddy, Dutch." Bobby said, and Dutch winked and waved

The pencil Montana was holding slid out of her hand and fell onto the desk. This was her uncle Bobby and her uncle Dutch in the 80s? Montana smiled and extended her hand for a hand shake. "Oh, it's a pleasure meeting you both. I'm Montana. Montana Lockhart." she said, and both boys shook her hand

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Dutch smirked, and Bobby agreed. Montana felt heat rise to her cheeks. Stop it Montana! They're your uncles! This is getting worse and worse.

Soon, Montana's classes ended and she walked to lunch. She and Ali stood in line, when they saw Daniel who was also standing in line getting his food, while the two girls had empty lunch trays.

"Hi" Ali smiled brightly, as she and Montana stood in line next to Daniel

Daniel glanced over at Ali, and his face lit up. "Hey, Ali with an "i", how ya doin'? Hey Montana."

"Hi Daniel." Montana said as she stood close beside Ali

Ali smiled brightly. "Good."

"You ladies aren't too hungry today?" Daniel asked, noticing their empty lunch trays

"No, not really." Ali said sweetly

"Here, have some pie. I made it myself." Daniel said to the girls while putting a slice of blueberry pie on their trays.

"Yeah? So how do you like The Valley so far?" Ali asked while smiling brightly.

"It hasn't been dull." Daniel answered honestly referring to the beach fight and the soccer tryouts.

"Was Newark dull?" Ali asked

Daniel glanced at Ali, then asked, "How did you know I was from Newark?" he asked

"I asked." Ali said sweetly, and Montana just shook her head in amusement at her friend's flirting

"Oh really? You sitting with anybody?" Daniel asked

"Well you and Montana if it's okay." Ali smiled

"Sounds great to me, you ladies want some milk?" Daniel asked them.

"Yeah, thanks" Ali said.

"Thanks Daniel." Montana smiled

"Listen, I'm sorry about the soccer tryouts." Ali said

"Ah, those are the breaks, you know." Daniel said, as the three of them walked to the cash register to pay for their lunches

"You remember that guy you had trouble with on the beach?" Ali asked

"Oh yeah, king karate?" Daniel replied

"Yeah, that's my ex-boyfriend." Ali said

"Oh that's good to know." Daniel said and then looked in the air. "I know. I know. You're right." he said while looking in the air, and Ali and Montana gave each other a quizzical look and then looked back at Daniel.

"That'll be $2.50." the lunch lady said

"Oh for all three." Daniel said

"$4.25" the cashier said

Daniel gave her the money, and after paying for their lunches, Montana and Ali walked into the lunchroom side by side.

"It doesn't matter anyway." Ali said

"Why's that?" Daniel questioned

"Because it's over." Ali smiled

"How over?" Daniel questioned again walking on one side of Ali, while Montana walked on the other

"Weeks." Ali said

"Weeks? One week? Five weeks? How many weeks is weeks?" Daniel questioned

Montana glanced over to the Cobra Kai table to find Dutch and Bobby smiling and winking at her. It made her feel rather uncomfortable, given the fact they were her uncles, but she was going to be polite and smile back. She's always had her mother's gentle nature.

When Montana, Ali, and Daniel reached a vacant table, they didn't see, was Johnny walking over from the Cobra Kai table with Bobby's blueberry pie. Just as Daniel was about to sit down. Johnny slipped a piece of pie into the seat and they heard a squish, and heard Tommy and the other Cobras laugh. Daniel stood up, and the girls looked at his blueberry smeared pants.

"Jerk!" Ali yelled as she stood up from her seat, as Montana stood up from her seat to stand beside her.

"You oughta watch where you sit next time, pal. Probably your only pair of pants, huh?" Johnny laughed.

What the fuck, dad? You always taught me to treat others with respect. Maybe this was the reason why.

Daniel wiped the blueberry pie off his pants and held it in his hands, then walked over to Johnny. "Don't even think about it, worm" Johnny derisively said

Daniel calmly smeared the mess on Johnny's shirt. This caused mayhem to erupt. The girls were yelling at them to stop, while dozens of boys, including the Cobra Kais, were jumping in to break it up.

At the end of the day, Montana stood at her locker, as she placed her things inside. As she closed the door and locked it, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, she was met with the brown eyes of Dutch. "Hey doll." he said

Montana warmly smiled. "Hi Dutch."

"C'mon, I want you to meet my friends, well you already know Bobby." Dutch said. He grabbed her hand, and pulled her to the parking lot, where a group of four boys, one of which was Bobby, were standing next to motorcycles.

"Hey Dutch. Who's the pretty girl?" Tommy asked.

"This is Montana. I figured we could show her around." Dutch grinned

"Hi." Montana warmly smiled

"Hello there pretty girl. Name's Tommy." A brunette greeted as he shook her hand.

"Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you." Montana smiled as she shook his hand. Uncle Tommy, I have heard so many wonderful stories about you.

"I'm Jimmy. Pleasure to meet you." Jimmy winked and the blush to Montana's face rose. Stop it Montana. He's your uncle and you have a boyfriend back home.

"We're already well acquainted with each other." Bobby smirked

"Yes, it's good to see you again." Montana smiled

"Hey, I'm Johnny Lawrence." Johnny smiled as he extended his hand for a handshake

Montana had to keep from falling apart as she shook her father's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you Johnny." she smiled, as her eyes became misty

"Hey, you good pretty girl?" Tommy asked

"Oh, yeah, I'm good, just something in my eye." Montana said as she wiped her eye then turned to Dutch. "So, are you going to show me around or what? Because back where I come from, it's rude to keep a lady waiting. I won't wait forever you know."

Dutch's face lit up. "All right princess. Let's go."

This just keeps getting worse and worse. Montana felt the blush rise to her cheeks when Dutch called her princess. The five boys all hopped on the motorcycles near them while Montana just watched them. "Well, pretty girl, you coming?" Tommy questioned.

"Well, uh, who should I, uh..." Montana stammered out, gesturing between the motorcycles.

"Hop on mine." Dutch said, tossing her a helmet.

"Right, yeah." Montana replied

Montana shook her head and pulled on the helmet before hopping on the back of Dutch's motorcycle. "Hold on tight, princess." he instructed. He started the motorcycle and took off, making her grab on to his waist, and Dutch grinned to himself under the helmet.

The boys showed Montana some places they liked to go, Golf N' Stuff being one, before ending up at the secluded Encino Hills look out. They were sitting on the ground with Montana laughing at their jokes.

After chatting for a little while, and showing each other their fighting skills, especially Montana's which duly impressed them all, the sun was beginning to set, and it was starting to grow colder. Montana looked at the watch on her wrist

"Well, I've got to get home." Montana said. "Thank you guys for this."

After saying goodbye to them, Dutch stood up and walked her to his motorcycle, much to Bobby's dismay. After a short drive, the two stopped in front of Montana's apartment complex.

"Thanks for the ride, Dutch," Montana said, ruffling his blonde hair.

Dutch smiled and gave her a sultry wink. "Anytime doll."

"Well I'll see you tomorrow." Montana smiled as she embraced him.

"See ya, princess." Dutch grinned. Montana smiled at him and waved one last time before walking away, with his eyes following her.

Montana walked through the gates of her complex, only to run into Daniel. "Oh hey Montana! I want you to meet Mr. Miyagi!" he stated happily as he grabbed her hand and pulled her behind him. She couldn't believe she was about to meet the one and only Mr. Miyagi, she had heard so many stories.

Daniel led Montana to a small shed where an older man was cutting bonsai trees. "Hey, Mr. Miyagi, I want you to meet a friend of mine, this is Montana. Montana, this is Mr. Miyagi.

"Nice to meet you, Montana-san." Mr. Miyagi said, bowing to her and she bowed back.

"It's a pleasure, Mr. Miyagi." Montana smiled. Mr. Miyagi studied Montana for a brief moment before smiling and turning to Daniel.

"Daniel-San, give Miyagi and Montana-San moment." Mr. Miyagi said

Daniel nodded. "I'll see you." Daniel stated before jogging out of the shed.

Mr. Miyagi walked back over to the table he was at and went back to his bonsai tree. "So what year you from?" Mr. Miyagi asked suddenly. Montana's head whipped to look at Mr. Miyagi. Her eyes wide.

"I'm sorry what?" Montana asked, and Mr. Miyagi looked at her.

After telling him the year, Montana walked over to the table, unzipped her backpack, and pulled out her father's Walkman, then showed it to him.

"My parents are Stella Walker and Johnny Lawrence." Montana said as Mr. Miyagi examined the walkman. "Back in my time I'm a registered nurse, but I'm also a medical student. I was in my pharmacology class when my professor told me he passed away. My father was my favorite person in the world. My mother gave me a box of my father's old memorabilia and among it, was the walkman." she said

"Maybe this all a dream." Mr. Miyagi said

"Then pinch me." Montana laughed. Mr. Miyagi reached over and pinched her arm making her yelp in surprise.

"I was just kidding!" Montana said, rubbing her arm.

Mr. Miyagi just shrugged. "Couldn't tell."

"What did I miss?" Daniel asked

"Nothing." Montana said as Mr. Miyagi gave her back the Walkman and she put it in her backpack
