𝐑𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐂𝐀 sat in the arena with her best friend and Lucille and Susan and Barbara were sitting right behind them. The Semi Finals were starting, and the brunette's palms were sweaty. She had a sinking feeling in her stomach. She couldn't explain why, but she felt like something bad was about to happen

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your, attention please? This is the first semifinal match of the afternoon. Defending champion, John Lawrence of the Cobra Kai, two-time winner of the all Valley under 18 golden trophy. He'll be facing Danny Duval of the Locust Valley karate club. Three points wins. Will the contestants please come to the ring? Good luck, gentlemen." The ring announcer announced

"Go get him Johnny. Get him!" Bobby said

"Show him what your made of!" Another Cobra Kai member yelled

Johnny and Danny Duval bowed to the referee then at each other and Johnny missed his opponents round kick.

"Go get him Johnny! Come on Johnny!" Tommy cheered

Danny kicked again but missed Johnny, Johnny kept kicking at Danny, but Danny dodged them.

"Come on Johnny!" Bobby cheered

After many kicks and many punches, Johnny won the first round. "Go Johnny!" Tommy cheered

"Way to go man!" Bobby cheered

Johnny's opponet held his stomach in pain the referee asking him if he was okay, to which he responded he was. In the final round, Johnny kicked him twice

"Come on man!" Bobby cheered

Johnny kicked him twice again, which he dodged before he managed to get his opponent in the chest and he fell down again. Johnny walked over to the Cobra Kais who gave him a pat on the back.

"The next semifinal will determine who will face the defending champion. Will Daniel LaRusso of the Miyaji-do karate and Bobby Brown of the Cobra Kai..." the announcer said

From where he sat with his Cobra Kai teammates, Bobby happily watched as Rebecca cheered him on. After hearing the announcer call his name, he stood up, but he paused when he heard...

"Bobby, I want him out of commission." Kreese said as he looked at Daniel

Bobby furrowed his brows in confusion and turned to look at Daniel. "But sensei, I can beat this guy."

Kreese looked at Bobby, before sternly speaking. "I don't want him beaten."

"But I'll be disqualified!" Bobby pleaded

"Out of commission." Kreese said

Bobby sighed and looked down, then looked back up at Rebecca who was patting Daniel on the shoulder. He didn't want to do this to her, as he knew Daniel was one of her best friends, practically her brother. He knew that if he hurt Daniel, he also hurt her, and that's something that he couldn't stomach.

Bobby's heart broke at the thought of hurting her. So many thoughts ran through his mind: What if she never speaks to me again? What if she hates me? Or worse, what if she dumps me?

Rebecca furrowed her brows as she saw Bobby sullenly enter the ring, and there was no light on his face, only tired resignation, but there was also a hint of fear in his eyes.

Daniel reached the line and both him and Bobby bowed to each other. "Do what you gotta do Bobby." A Cobra Kai member said

Bobby look back at them and she saw Kreese give Bobby a slight nod with a straight face and his lips twitched up slightly. Bobby quickly looked at Rebecca and she could have sworn she saw him quietly say forgive me. In need of reassurance, Rebecca grabbed her best friend's hand. Ali held her hand as both girls watched the match.

"Face, bow." The referee said. "Watch the patrol gentlemen." The referee said. "Ready. Fight."

Holding her necklace from her mother with her free hand, she turned her head and noticed the way Mr. Miyagi was watching Kreese, the way the two of them were glaring at one another, and the knot in her stomach intensified.

Bobby ran forward and jumped high into the air, appearing to throw a flying sidekick. Daniel brought his hands up. But instead of kicking out, Bobby dropped and pushed the blade of his foot into Daniel's knee, the full weight of his body behind it. A sickening crack could be heard, as Daniel collapsed and the crowd shouts in concern. Mr Miyagi rushed towards him.

Ali, Lucille, and Rebecca stood, and the older brunette held both girls back. Rebecca felt her eyes sting with tears. How could Bobby do this? Did he want to do this? No. He couldn't have. It was written all over his face when he entered the ring.

"Daniel-san!" Mr. Miyagi said as he ran to Daniel

Rebecca turned and saw Bobby kneel towards Daniel. "Daniel! Daniel I'm sorry! I'm sorry man, I didn't mean it! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" he sincerely and profusely apologized before the referee and Mr. Miyagi managed to pull him away.

"My leg! No! My leg hurts, Mr. Miyagi! My leg hurts." Daniel said in pain

"Miyagi here, Daniel-san. Okay." Mr. Miyagi said

Rebecca rushed over to Bobby, ignoring the referee, who said she couldn't be on the mat. "He was forced to fight dirty." she said to the referee.

"Bobby?" Rebecca said as she knealt down beside him

Bobby was frantic, he gripped her shoulders. He had tears in his eyes. It broke her heart to see him hurt like this. True, he may have hurt Daniel, but it hurt him to do it. All Bobby wanted was to fight fairly. She knew something was up the minute he stepped into the ring.

"Rebecca, I swear, I didn't want to do it. You've got to believe me. Please believe me." Bobby said through unshed tears.

"I believe you, baby. I believe you." Rebecca said. "I believe you. I believe you."

Bobby and Rebecca shared a sweet and loving embrace. She glared at Kreese as she held Bobby in her arms. He hurt the man she loves. She let Bobby go and gave him a sweet smile.

"I'm done with this bullshit, Rebecca. It nearly cost me our relationship back in October, now I've hurt your best friend and I've probably crippled him." Bobby said

"You know what you have to do honey. Meet me in the changing rooms." Rebecca said, then kissed his lips. "I've got your back whatever you decide."

"Bobby Brown of the Cobra Kai, has been disqualified for extensive and deliberate contact. Under rule 41-2, Daniel LaRusso has 15 minutes to return to the ring. If LaRusso is unable to return, John Lawrence automatically will be awarded first place by default." the announcer announced

Rebecca walked back towards Ali and Lucille, but she turned around and saw Bobby standing up, and walking toward his sensei. She didn't hear the conversation, but she did see him untie his black belt and slam it on the ground. She watched as he exited the arena and walked toward the changing rooms, and she quickly followed.

"I'll inform the judges. You did well out there young man." The doctor said as he and the officials left.

"Damn it." Daniel said annoyed

"Honey forget it. Hey you were great, I couldn't be prouder it was just bad luck." Lucille said trying to comfort him.

"Daniel you would have won if they hadn't cheated." Ali said

"Just leave me alone for a minute, okay?" Daniel said

"We'll be outside." Lucille said as she kissed Daniel's forehead. Ali gave him a kiss on the cheek and they both walked out.

Meanwhile in another changing room, Rebecca was trying to console the love of her life, for the illegal kick he used on her close friend.

Bobby was still in his karate gi, and she sat in his lap, with his face buried in her neck. He was sobbing uncontrollably. It broke her, but she remained strong, she had to. She wanted to be his rock as she  him in her arms tightly.

Once he was all cried out. Bobby sat up and looked at her. Rebecca wiped his tears away, and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

"My beautiful Bec, I can't tell you how sorry I am. I would never do that on purpose. All I could think about was losing you, and I couldn't handle that. I can't lose you." Bobby said as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, and in return, she caressed his cheekbone with her thumb.

"I know it wasn't your fault. I don't blame you. I blame Kreese. I'm not going anywhere. I love you with all my heart." Rebecca reassured.

"I love you so much more." Bobby said

"You want to stay here, or would you like to go back out there?" Rebecca asked as she helped him to his feet. "Whatever you decide to do is perfectly fine."

"Actually I was wondering if I could sit with you?" Bobby asked as he dressed himself

"Of course you can." Rebecca smiled as she gave him his Cobra Kai jacket

Back in the arena, Bobby sat down and pulled Rebecca down on his lap and wrapped his arms around her tiny figure and kissed her temple.

Rebecca saw Ali come running up to the announcer whispering something in his ear, just as he was about to give the trophy to Johnny. "Hey, there's Ali." Rebecca said

"Daniel LaRusso's gonna fight!" The announcer said and the crowd cheered as Daniel came out with Mr. Miyagi

"Alright Daniel!" Rebecca cheered

"How's the leg son?" The announcer asked

"Fine." Daniel said, and Mr. Miyagi smiled

"The final match will determine who'll emerge victor and champion of the All Valley Under 18 Karate Championship. Daniel LaRusso of the 'Miyaji'-do karate." The announcer said

"Miyagi-do!" Daniel corrected

"Miyagi-do karate versus John Lawrence of the Cobra Kai." The announcer said

"Come on! You got this!" Bobby cheered for Johnny

"Daniel and Johnny got in line they both bowed at each other. "Three points good luck fellas." The referee said

Johnny threw punches and kicks which managed to push Daniel back, but he dodged. Johnny attempted to do a wheel kick, but Daniel ducked and punched him in the chest.

"That's okay Johnny!" Tommy said

Johnny pushed Daniel back making him stumble but Daniel caught himself. The referee told them to knock it off and Rebecca just rolled her eyes at their immaturity.

"Lawrence return. One point LaRusso." the referee announced as another one held up a red flag next to him.

"Kill him Johnny!" Tommy said

Daniel tried to jab, but Johnny caught his wrist and threw him on the mat. Daniel kicked him away and stood up moving backwards.

Johnny tried to kick Daniel, but Daniel ducked and caught his leg that isn't in the air with his own and pulled him down on the mat face first and Daniel jabbed the back of his head.

"Time out. Time out go to your sensei." The referee said

"What is it babe?" Rebecca asked as she heard Bobby curse under his breath.

"Kreese is going to make Johnny sweep the leg. It gives Johnny the perfect advantage to use it against him, and Johnny will win the match if so." Bobby said

Rebecca was worried for Daniel at this point. Bobby saw this and he pulled her into his arms and kissed her head. Johnny and Daniel resumed the match.

"One more kick! One more!" Ali cheered for Daniel

"That's two points LaRusso. Lawrence nothing." The referee said, and Johnny and Daniel got into fighting stance. "Ready. Fight!"

Johnny kicked Daniel's injured leg and then his face knocking him down instantly. "Alright Johnny. Yeah alright!" Tommy yelled, and Bobby and Rebecca just shook their heads in disappointment

"Come on Daniel." Rebecca said 

"Kick to the side. One point, Lawrence" the referee said

The next round began and punches were thrown by Johnny with Daniel dodging them. He fell on the mat, stood up again to kick, only for Johnny to catch his leg and throw him on the floor.

Johnny tried to kick Daniel, who was trying to keep from getting hit. Johnny eventually jabbed his side with his elbow. Daniel held his side in pain.

"Come on Daniel. Be strong. Daniel come on!" Ali cheered

"Come on Daniel." Rebecca said

"Kick to the side. One point Lawrence. 2-2, Ready. Fight!" The referee said

Daniel started punching Johnny, Johnny managed  to dodge only for him to start trying to punch Daniel who dodged them and Daniel got out of the line.

"Out of bounds. Come back in." The referee said

"Destroy him Johnny." Kreese yelled

"Come on, Daniel, you can do it! Come on!" Ali cheered

"You got this!" Rebecca cheered

As Daniel tried to kick Johnny, he swept underneath his foot, but Daniel got up "That's it! That's it!" Tommy cheered

Daniel grabbed a hold of Johnny and slammed him on the mat. Johnny tripped him over making him fall over and he jumped up quickly, and they both got up in stance again.

"All right, Johnny!" Kreese yelled

Johnny kept punching and kicking at Daniel. Johnny punched Daniel in the face Rebecca saw him fall to the floor. She heard the crowd boo.

"Come on, Daniel. Come on, be strong! Be strong! Come on!" Ali cheered

"Come on Daniel!" Rebecca cheered

Bobby and Rebecca laced their hands together. She leaned into him and he wrapped his arms securely around her.

"You alright?" The referee asked Daniel

"Yeah I'm okay." Daniel responded

"Whoever wins the next point will be our new champion." The announcer announced

"No point. Ready. Fight!" The referee announced

Daniel tried to kick Johnny he caught it and jabbed it with his injured knee. "It's over, Johnny. Yeah, you did it!" Tommy yelled as Daniel stood up with a limp.

"Are you sure you're okay? Can you go on?" The referee asked him, and Daniel nodded while holding his stomach.

"Get him a body bag! Yeah!" Tommy yelled laughing,

"All right, that's a warning for illegal contact to the knee." The referee said to Johnny

"No mercy! No mercy!" Tommy said

Bobby and Rebecca looked at each other, he kissed her forehead, she looked forward and watched the rest of the fight. "Finish this Johnny!" Tommy cheered

Daniel got in the crane stance. "Finish him!" Kreese yelled to Johnny

"Fight!" The referee said

Just as Johnny was ready to jab, Daniel kicked forward with his foot making contact with Johnny's face and he cradled his nose on the mat.

"Winner!" The announcer said holding up Daniel's arm

Ali ran towards the ring first giving Daniel a big hug. shocking him from how tight it was. Then Lucille hugged him. Rebecca got up and ran over to hug Daniel

"Congratulations!" Rebecca smiled

"The new champion!" The announcer announced

Daniel was lifted into the air and the crowd began cheering. Johnny took the trophy but Rebecca didn't expect him to give it to Daniel himself

"You're alright LaRusso. Good match." Johnny said giving him the trophy

"Thanks a lot." Daniel said, as Mr. Miyagi gave him a proud smile.
