Jin's POV
We took one last bow to the audience before the curtains closed and we left the stage.
Hoseok was walking along side me while walking down from the stage. "Wow, you were really great out there," he said.
"Yes, thanks, I know," I laughed, not showing any modesty. Hoseok just laughed back in response. "You weren't too bad yourself, by the way. Your dancing is amazing."
"Yeah, thanks, I know," he said, imitating me.
Before I could respond, we heard someone yelling. It was a boy, looking very annoyed, standing next to a very hurt looking Y/n. He was yelling at the boy who stood before them.
"Is that Yoongi?" Hoseok asked, more to himself than anyone else.
Y/n then turned and ran out. Hoseok and I immediately went to the scene to find out what was going on. And moving closer to scene, I noticed it was Jimin who the boy named Yoongi was talking with.
"See what you did?!" Yoongi said to Jimin, pushing him back. "What's wrong with you?"
Jimin just laughed in reply. "She's always been that weak."
I was about to speak up but Hoseok beat me to it. "Hey! Don't talk about Y/n that way! What did you do?!" asked Hoseok. It was the first time I'd seen him this concerned and angry. But it was understandable. It was Y/n they were talking about. He was the only person I knew who cared about Y/n almost as much as I did. It was weird and I didn't understand why but I liked that about him. It meant that I didn't always have to worry about her as much when he's around.
"What? All I did was tell her the truth. She was never one to handle it very well," Jimin stated coolly.
"You had no right to speak to her that way!" Hoseok said, giving Jimin a death stare.
Jimin then lost his calm and stared right back at Hoseok. "You don't even know her. I can speak to her any way I want to," he said, ending off with a smirk.
That was when I come in. Even though Y/n wouldn't tell me, I knew she and Jimin had broken up. And that must be what this is about. "Just because you know her doesn't mean you can hurt Y/n whenever you want to," I said. It was obvious Jimin had no idea I was there when he turned to me for the first time. His expression changed to something I couldn't quite read.
"I'm going to go find Y/n," Hoseok said, already on his way out.
"Hoseok, wait! You can't. You have a performance in a few minutes," I said.
"Someone else can fill in for me," he said then turned to Yoongi. "I'll be back in time for the rap." Then quietly, more to himself than anyone else, he said: "I can't leave her. Not again." And with that he was out the door. I wondered what he meant by that but my thought was cut short by Jimin.
Jimin scoffed. "He doesn't even know her..." He mumbled to himself while turning to walk away.
"Hey, I'm not done with you," I said, stopping him. I stepped a bit closer to him, so only he could hear me, since I noticed people were watching. "Look, I know you guys are not together anymore, and I don't know what it is you said to her, but that doesn't make it okay for you to speak to her that way, okay? If you can't even be friends with her then I think it's best you just stay away from her," I said, looking him straight in the eyes, so that he could see how serious I was.
He tried to keep his expression neutral but it was obvious he felt guilty. He wouldn't even look me in the eyes and for a moment I saw a small nod. "I have a performance I need to get ready for," he said, not daring to disrespect me like he did the others. He then left.
Once Jimin was out of sight, I noticed a figure around the corner, watching what was happening. It was Taehyung. He noticed that I spotted him and quickly left. I wondered when he would finally talk to us again.

Y/n's POV
Your house wasn't too far from the school so you decided to walk home even though it was freezing cold and very dark.
You extremely hurt by the things Jimin had said to you. Your heart was hurting and your head was spinning, but the worst part was that you had a lump in your throat and no tears would come out.
It hurt. It hurt so much. It was unbearable. All that your eyes would do was tear up, but nothing would come out.
You sighed out of frustration and suddenly heard a frightened voice from behind you. You turned around to see who it was.
"Y/n! I found you!" Jhope said, happily, catching up to you. "You scared me. I was looking for you but it was too dark for me to find you."
You were happy to see him but at the same time you didn't want him here. You walked a bit ahead of him, showing him you didn't want to talk with him but he didn't stop walking after you. You felt so drained that you couldn't even respond to him.
"Where are you going?" He asked, walking one step behind you.
"Home," you managed to reply.
"Is it because of Jimin?" He asked and it made you stop.
"You saw?"
"No. I don't know what happened but but I saw you running and I got worried," he said.
You didn't know what to say so you stayed quiet.
"Is Jimin the ex you've been speaking of?" He asked.
You nodded after a while and finally a tear fell from your eye. You closed your eyes and suddenly felt a hand take yours.
"Y/n..." Jhope said in a soft soothing voice and gently squeezed your hand. "Talk to me." You then felt his other hand on your cheek, wiping away the tear that had fallen.
You then opened your eyes to see him staring down at you with concerned eyes. You then pulled him closer and buried your head in his chest.
"It hurts so much, Hoseok!" You say into his shirt. "I've lost so much. I lost my will to dream so now I feel like there's no purpose to my life, my grades are slipping, and when I needed Jimin the most, he left me. But worst of all, I lost my best friend. All I want to do is make it all right but I don't know how. Jimin knows this and he just rubs it all in my face," you pause so that you can breathe before continuing again. "And me being the weak person I am, I can't even stand up to him. Even though he's always hurting me."
He started to stroke your hair. "You're not a weak person, Y/n. You might not know it, but I do. You're extremely strong. You're that and so much more. You just don't know that because you believe what Jimin says."
You rise your head from the embrace so that you could look at his face. He was smiling down at you.
"As for the dream thing, you don't need to worry about that. You've got a lot of potential to become anything you put your mind to. I could even help you with that. I'll be your strength and hope when you don't have any," he reassured you. "And that thing that's going on with you and V, you don't need to worry. Best friends always find their way back to each other. No matter how bad the situation," he said and then smiled brightly at you.
You then looked down a little, unsure of whether to say what you were thinking or not, but then spoke anyway. "How do you know that? You don't even know what happened between us..." You said.
"He comfessed to you, didnt he?" He said which made you look up at him, shocked.
"How did you know?" You asked.
"To be honest, I think everyone knew. From the first day I met him, I could already see it. You just didn't know because you knew him for a very long time," he said. After seeing your reaction to that, he then continued to say something more: "But what I also did notice, is that you two have a really close and unbreakable bond. So that's how I know that somehow you'll work through those problems and be good friends again.
"So, Y/n, don't worry, okay? I believe in you and that everything will get better soon. Trust me. But in order for you to do all that, you need to destroy all your demons. By that I mean Jimin. I think it's about time you talk to him and get things straight with him. Even though you two are not together, you deserve to be treated better."
Your teary eyes seemed to sparkle in the night sky as you stared into his eyes. He was right and you couldn't help but think how lucky you felt to have met him.
You went in to hug him and he hugged you back. You two stayed in the embrace for long time before letting go again.
You smiled brightly at him. "Thanks, Hoseok. I really needed that talk. And that hug," you said. "It really made me feel better. You're right. And I'm not going to let Jimin trample all over me again. From now on I won't care what he thinks," you said, full of determination.
He chuckled and ruffled your hair. "Good."
You then remembered something and gasped. "Hey, what are you even doing here?! You still have to perform." You then grabbed his hand and started to walk back in the direction of the school. "Come on! You need to get back."
"Wait, what about you? Are you sure want to go back there?"
You then smiled at him. "It's okay. I can handle it. I'm strong, remember?"
When you got back to the school with Jhope, Jin was the first person you saw. He came rushing to you and kept asking if you were okay. You couldn't reassure him enough that you were fine.
But soon Jhope had to go to do his rap performance with Yoongi and Namjoon. Jin had also left because there was a problem with something that only he could fix, leaving you alone backstage behind the curtain watching them rap.
"Wow, you're back already?" You heard a familiar voice say.
Back for a round 2 already? You thought to yourself. You sighed before turning around to face Jimin. "What do you want now?" You said, lifelessly.
"Woah, chill. I'm not here to criticize you again," he said, laughing. "I actually just wanted to say sorry about causing a scene earlier. I didn't mean for everyone else to hear our conversation." He sounded almost sincere.
You took what he said into consideration. You didn't want to forgive him but being the forgiving person you were, you couldn't stay mad at him. "It's okay. What's done is done."
You then decided that you wanted to try to make peace with him, but Jimin spoke before you could.
"Your new friends and your brother, they really care about you, don't they? Once you left they wouldn't leave me alone. Especially that guy... Hoseok? He doesn't know when to shut up, does he? I always knew he was annoying, but not this much," he said.
You began to get irritated. You laughed mockingly. "Ha! Well he certainly can't be more annoying than you. I thought you said you weren't here to criticize," you said while turning to walk away.
"I said I wasn't here to criticize you."
"I'm leaving. I don't need to hear whatever it is you have to say to me," you said, then stopped and turned back to look at him. "And don't you ever talk about Hoseok that way," you glared at him and turned to walk on again.
"That's funny. That's almost exactly what Hoseok said to me about you," he said. "You two are very alike."
You still continued to walk on, ignoring him.
"Wait, Y/n! Okay, I'll stop. There's a serious question I need to ask you."
You still walked on.
"Y/n!" He called out, not giving up. And realizing that you wouldn't either, he went after you and grabbed your wrist and you quickly stopped and pulled away from him. You turned to face him and looked at him more seriously than you ever have anybody.
"Don't you ever touch me again."
"Are you in love with Hoseok?" He asked, ignoring him.
"What if I am?" You said, not thinking about what you were saying. You just wanted to get rid of him.
His eyes went big. After a long pause, he then began to laugh. "No, you're kidding me, right? What? Are you serious? That guy?" He pointed towards the stage. You could still see him rapping into the mike. "Do you see that? He can't even rap properly! And his dancing is just as bad. Heck, he's not even half as talented as all the other people here. Don't even get me started on his--"
"What? Are you jealous?" You cut him off, talking calmly but while giving him a deadly glare. "You can say whatever you want to me about me. Criticize me, bring me down, hurt me for whatever reason you're doing that for which I don't even understand. But never, will you ever talk that way about anyone else or like that to any of my friends. I don't care what you say about me, but when it involves the people I care about, don't expect me to just sit down quietly about it.
"Taehyung had nothing to do with any of this yet you brought him into this and now he's hurting and won't even talk to me.Why couldn't you just leave him out of this? I don't ever want you bothering him again," you said, tears started to well up in your eyes and you could see that Jimin was shocked and even feeling bad. "And Hoseok? What you just now said about him, is completely irrelevant because even if they were true, he's still a better person than you'll ever be." You then stared him dead in the eye. "You may have thought you could trample all over me before, but now... Just you dare try doing it again." With that, you turned and left Jimin standing there all by himself.
