A/n: This is where you can start using Joesph Morgan as Johnny's faceclaim.
Ten years later
December 24th 2009
"Dad!" Ten year old Rhett Wendell Grindelwald yelled excitedly as Johnny came home from Hogwarts that day. It was a busy time at the school at that present moment, with Professor McGonagall retiring at the end of that year, along with Professor Flitwick and Professor Sprout. Johnny would be inducted as the new Headmaster, and was currently going through the process of hiring new staff to replace the old ones.
"Hey, bud," Johnny smiled, wrapping his arms around his son's shoulders. "How've you been?"
"I'm good," Rhett mumbled tiredly.
"Good, let's go find your mother and sisters then," Delphini and Winona were twelve now, and were in their second year at Hogwarts. Winona and Delphini were both sorted into Slytherin, much to their delight. The two girls idolised their father. They idolised their mother too, but their father held a special place in their hearts. Johnny chuckled as Rhett ran through Grindelwald Manor in his werewolf form, urging his father to keep up.
"I got you now, you little shit!" Johnny joked, turning into his half-werewolf form. Rhett giggled as threw him over his shoulder and ran down the hallway, their laughter echoing down the long hallways. The older man burst into the main living room on the ground floor, where Hermione, Delphini and Winona were sat watching a Christmas film.
"Hello, wonderful family!" Johnny grinned cheekily, throwing Rhett on the sofa besides Hermione, who glared at her husband.
"Dad!" Delphini and Winona cheered, hugging their father around the middle. Johnny chuckled and swooped low to kiss their foreheads. When he detangled himself from his daughters, Johnny bent low to kiss his wife of ten years, a wide smile on his face.
"I missed you, bub," Hermione whispered, pulling Johnny to sit next to her. She instantly cuddled up to her husband, pulling Rhett into her side too. Winona cuddled up next to her father, and Delphini cuddled up to her sister, the family restarting "It's A Wonderful Life," once again so they could all watch it together as a family.
"I missed you too, Angel," Johnny smiled, his hand running through her hair as he stared at the screen.
A few hours later, and the family were scattered. Hermione was out in the garden with the kids as they played in the snow, while Johnny was watching them from the kitchen window, singing along to Christmas songs as he prepped the Christmas dinner for tomorrow. Luca, Caterina, her new boyfriend, Monica, Wendell, Evelyn and Evelyn's new girlfriend would be coming over, and Johnny and Hermione wanted it perfect.
"I'm driving home for Christmas
Oh, I can't wait to see those faces
I'm driving home for Christmas, yeah
Well I'm moving down that line
And it's been so long
But I will be there
I sing this song
To pass the time away
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas."
Johnny sang and swayed as he peeled the carrot in his hand, dropping them in the saucepan. Suddenly, a feeling of immense coldness over took him. Turning around, he saw his family standing before him, their hands wet from the snow. They had bombarded him with snowballs.
"Run," said Johnny bluntly, his smirk widening as his eyes turned red. His families eyes widened, and his kids eyes turned a bright blue as they sprinted off. Hermione eyed her husband a second to late, and as she shifted into her wolf form, Johnny caught her around the waist and lifted her on his shoulder.
"No! Baby, please!" Hermione begged playfully as Johnny rushed outside, throwing her into the mountains of snow. He straddled her waist and picked up a handful of snow, smirking deviously at her. "I will kill you if you do that," Hermione warned as Johnny reached for the zipper of her coat. Johnny ignored her and quickly yanked her zipper down, stuffing the snow down Hermione's shirt.
"I love you!" Johnny giggled as he sprinted back into the house in search of his children, who clearly used their werewolf speed to their advantage, but yet they still had a disadvantage over the King of Supernatural, who's abilities were far stronger than theirs. Using his enhanced hearing and smell, he managed to pinpoint that all three of them were hiding in Delphini's bedroom.
He entered the room, hearing giggles from underneath Delphini's bed. Pretending he didn't hear anything, Johnny would search the room, letting out sarcastic comments when he wouldn't find them.
"Come out, come out wherever you are," he called in a sing-song, still fully aware where his children were located. Still, he paraded around the room, feigning confusion. "Hm, not in here... guess I'll have to check elsewhere..."
And just when the three children had thought Johnny had crept out of the room, accepting defeat, he jumped on the bed and peered his head over the edge.
"Here's Johnny!"
Squealing, the kids tried to scramble to their feet, avoiding Johnny's relentless attempts at reaching for them but purposefully missing to keep the game interesting. Their laughter was infectious, ricocheting off the paper-thin walls.
Before long, the kids made a simultaneous dash for the door, but Johnny was too quick. He scrambled them all up, slinging them over his shoulders and cradling them in his arms. He wasn't sure how he'd done it, but each child was hanging effortlessly from his body in one way or another; one was wrapped around his right leg, another dangling from his left arm, and the last one riding his back .
"What's going on in here?" came Hermione's amused voice, as she entered the room to see what the commotion was, still evidently red faced from the snow.
"Uh," gulped Johnny, struggling to stand with the kids wrapped around him, "can I get a little help?"
"Help?" mused Hermione, kinking a brow. "You stuff snow down my shirt and now you want my help? Ha! Yeah, right, baby."
And to Johnny's dismay, Hermione's lips curled into a mischievous smirk, glancing between the children.
"Last one to let go gets ice cream after dinner!" The kids clearly didn't get what their mother said, as they quickly scrambled out of their father's hold. "Well, Rhett was the last to let go..." Hermione trailed off, still seeing her baby boy on his father's shoulders. Rhett grinned in triumph as Delphini's and Winona's jaws dropped, staring at their mother with wide eyes.
"I think you should run, Angel," Johnny grinned. Hermione nodded quickly, her eyes turning purple as she used her wolf speed to run. The two girl's eyes turned a brilliant shade of blue as they sprinted after their mother.
"Women," Rhett joked, causing Johnny to burst into laughter as he put his son back down on both feet. The two began following the laughter and playful yells and ended up in the doorway of the indoor pool. The two eleven year old girls had Hermione trapped between the pool and themselves.
"If you push me in, Santa won't come tomorrow," Hermione joked, preying that her kids still believed in Santa Claus. Winona and Delphini held a silent conversation with their eyes. It was honestly like they were twins at times.
"We'll take the risk," Delphini giggled, diving on top of her adoptive mother. Delphini and Hermione resurfaced as Johnny, Winona and Rhett burst into giggles from the doorway. "I love you," Delphini smiled sweetly, wiping the chlorine and hair out of her eyes.
"I love you too, baby," Hermione smiled, wrapping her arms around her daughters shoulders. The whole family showered and dressed in matching Christmas pyjamas after the whole fiasco, and were now settled down in front of the fire early an Christmas present.
"Looks like Santa delivered these early," Johnny joked, carrying three identical sized boxes and with a few smaller boxes on top. "I'm like, ninety nine percent sure you'll love these," the kids giggled as Johnny set the boxes in front of them, taking the smallest box off of the top and handing it to Hermione.
"Thank you, Bubs," leaning over to kiss Johnny's cheeks and pass him his own present. Gasps from the kids brought the married couple out of their own world, and they found the kids staring down at three Xbox 360's, exactly what they had wanted.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Winona was the first to yell, wrapping both her arms around her parents, Rhett and Delphini later joining the fold.
"It's because you've all been so good in school," said Hermione, kissing Rhett's forehead. Hermione and Johnny enrolled their kids at the local primary school in the nearby town before they would get their Hogwarts letter, insisting that the children should have the same experiences as they did. When the excitement of the Xbox's died down, Hermione and Johnny opened their presents at the same time and burst out laughing.
They had both gotten each other Rolex watches. Hermione's was rose gold with thousands of little diamonds encrusted into it, while Johnny's was black with a few diamonds littered around the watch face. When he excitement died down, and theXbox's were set up in the kids bedrooms, the family settled themselves down in front of the TV. Hermione and Johnny always let the children have the final say, and they finally reached an agreement on "White Christmas" starring Bing Crosby.
"I'm dreaming of a White Christmas," Johnny sang in time with Bing Crosby just as the kids began to snore. "I'll take Winona and Delphini, you take Rhett," he whispered, causing Hermione to nod quietly. Johnny scooped both his daughters into his arms and began carrying them up the stairs. After so many years, he grew experience in tucking his children in one handed while he held the other. When Winona was tucked in, he quietly closed the door and made his way to Delphini's room.
"Daddy?" said Delphini quietly, now awake as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Yes, Della?" Johnny asked, tucking her into bed. He sat on the edge, looking concerned at the unshed tears in his adopted daughters eyes. "What's wrong, darling?" Delphini threw back the covers and pulled Johnny into a tight hug, catching Johnny off guard slightly.
"Thank you for taking me in, making me feel welcomed," Delphini sniffed into his neck.
"You're my daughter, Della," Johnny whispered, kissing her forehead. "Biological or not," Delphini smiled, kissing Johnny's cheek as he tucked her in once more. He kissed her forehead one last time as he got up, and turned to face her before he shut the door. "I love you tons."
"I love you one hundred trillion," Delphini shot back, causing Johnny to arch a brow.
"Wow," Johnny smirked, leaning against the doorway. "One hundred trillion? That's crazy!" He switched off the light. "Go to bed, or I'll sell your Xbox," he heard Delphini chuckle as he shut the door and began making his way to his and Hermione's bedroom bedroom. When he entered, his jaw dropped as Hermione stood before him, wearing nothing but a pretty red bow around her neck.
"Merry Christmas, Bubs," Hermione whispered, smirking as she ripped Johnny's shirt in half.
"Merry Christmas to me indeed."
A/n: Sorry for the chapter being so short, I was honestly stuck on what to write and this little short chapter was the best I could come up with. Big thanks to -we-are-infinite- for helping out with writing!
