KATARA AND THEO LUNE were both positive that they would get caught that day. The day they ran away. But their doubts— the doubts where they had thought they were going to get killed or found... were all— wrong.

They had succeeded, in fact. But they couldn't just run away so easily, no, the scientists wouldn't let them. But they did, but for their own stupid reasons.

The scientists let them loose, knowing their plan all along. To run away... to leave everything behind and change their names known as their numbers— they knew everything.

But why would they let them run away? Why would the Hawkins scientists let their lab experiments just run away so easily?. Because they knew their every next step, they knew where they'd go and the scientists knew that they had to keep Kat and Theo safe— I mean, they were the lab's favorites, besides this girl Eleven that Kat has heard about.

But, why were they the scientists favorites?. Because they were special. They had abilities no one else did.

Katara, Telepathy and Adaptive magic. Katara can survive and or adapt to any form of magic and magical environment, making her able to negate magical / effects that magic could have that would affect them. Her telepathy was pretty simple.

Telepathy is where her mind can know what's in someone's mind, like what they are thinking, think of communicating with someone mentally, without words nor physical signals or anything. She can just... Do it, which Theo always thought was pretty badass.

For Theo— he had three abilities. No one in the lab could have three, no one but him. He was the lab's main target.

He had water manipulation, the power to control water with just your mind or fingers. Energy projection, the power to Emitting energy beams or blasts. Now for the last, Omnipresence. The power to be in multiple locations in a single moment.

The day the Lune's ran away was the same day a boy similar to Theo's age and looks had been taken. And the Lune's knew the truth on why.

THEO WAS OUT of breath, grabbing onto Kat's sleeve, his fingers trembling as he motioned for her to slow down. "Are you okay, Theo?."

Theo nodded, catching his breath, looking at her with a frightened look. "Do you think they may find us?."

Kat shrugged, folding her arms as she stared at the ground. "Maybe they won't. They are smart but maybe we can out smart  them, right?."

Theo nodded, a hopeful look in his eyes. "C'mon let's keep moving, we're almost at Hawkins." Hawkins was seen as a calm and quiet town, but it was far from that.

But the Lune's didn't know, no, but they went anyways, hoping for their new start, away from the bad men.
