Her gentle smile returned when she humming a soft tune that contains the feeling of euphoria and  serenity, admitting it to herself without him hearing it,

"I guess . . . you are right." She murmured when her orbs filled with nothing but regret and chuckled bitterly,

"But when it was a habit, I couldn't help it, you know . . . "

A black paper crane came in your sight-view, eyeing it as the object moving around you, flapping it's paper wings before black smoke oozing out to surrounding itself and slowly fades away, etching a smile afterward upon seeing the male apparition.

"Isn't that true, Tsukasa?"

"Yes~!"He sang giddily, not wasting any time to throw himself on you and like his habit, clinging onto you like a sloth while burying his face in the crook of your neck. Clearly not showing any sign that his grip would be loosened for a time being.

When he slightly reeled his head away to look at you in the eyes, one of his arm unwrapped from your neck to take something in his pocket and shoved a piece of paper in front of your face, the word of ' sadistic ' was reflected all over on his visage and tilted his head to the side for you to take it from his grasp.

"We have a new rumor to be made. It looks like I've got myself a naïve customer."He giggled gleefully, totally pleased with the upcoming event when an emotion of elation flashed in his constricted golden lifeless orbs.

"The name is Mitsuba Sousuke."

"Never heard of him. In what year of period does he come from? Edo? Showa? Meiji?"You guessed with an eyebrow was quirked upward. It looks like your answer leaves him guffawing loudly with you, now, have a look that filled with perplexity. Took a notice with the look on your beautiful feature that he found amusing, his laughter slowly dying down.

"He died recently in a car crash. I couldn't blame you after all. No one even notice his absence in this school even after he died."

"That was sad."The female mumbled though a hint of angsty could never be found in your eyes and tone of voice but choked the air when the male now hugging you tightly from behind. Almost blocking the oxygen from coming into and let the carbon dioxide escape from your lungs, having you to patting his arm furiously for his to loosen his grip in which he gratefully did.

"I know right~!"He sang elatedly and bestowing you his brightest smile, "He is a very lonely student. What's sadder is, he is even more more lonely when he is now a ghost. And his ex-classmate was . . . "

Coughing slightly, she glanced over her shoulder to look at him when he trailed off from his sentence, "Was . . . ?"

He remained silent and smirked.

"Speaking of the devil."

The ghost maiden raised an eyebrow when a sound of a door slammed open was heard and thus, the male apparition disappeared in the thin air.

"[Y/N]-nee!!"

Her head snapped behind to look at the source of the familiar voice. Though she has expected his presence, that didn't stop her eyes from widening and surprise engulfed her body. Her eyes trailed down to the item in the boy's grasp while giving him some fresh oxygen.

"Kou? And . . . in your hands, are those are milk chocolate chips cookies?"

"Yeah.

"Really? Was it already a valentine's day?"You pondered and turned your body around fully but startled when the boy threw the packet to you without any warning which you barely managed to catch it.

"Kou! It was dangerous—"

"[Y/N]-nee bakaaaa!!"He screamed at the top of his lungs which caused your heart leaped out from your throat at his sudden scream.

"H-Huh?!"

He stomped his way forward to your way, placing both his palms on your shoulder before shaking your body vigorously with his strength while your eyes now formed swirls instead of [ color ] orbs due to the zealous strength of his.

"Supernatural or not, I already told you that I'll be the one who will protect you so I'm gonna keep that promise!"

"Wh-Whaaaaare you talking about?"Your voice managed to piped in when he abruptly stopped his action, giving you some time to process his words and reduce the dizziness.

"It was all my fault! If I didn't push you any further, none of this would happen! "

"Woah, woah, woah. Hold on."You stopped him from saying anything after recovered from your dizzy state and trying to calm his anxiety down, "Me? Ignoring you? You must be seeing things. I didn't even attend the class today."

"I know—Wait, what-?"His eyes flickered up to met yours and you smiled in assurance with a hint of humorous at his assumption.

"That's right."She grinned and stared down at the boy with her gentle ones, placing her own hands on his when they slide down to her forearms, "Plus, I would never ignore you, Kou. I'm your nee-san after all—"

As the words slipped past your lips, a small ' oof ' escaped from them when he suddenly rushed forward and hugged your tightly, hiding his face on the crook of your neck. Your eyes widened when you felt droplets of warm tears fell on your clothes shoulder.

"I was so worried, ya know! I thought you would hate me forever!"He sobbed, embracing you rather more tightly than earlier but you paid no mine and smiled to him instead, placing a hand behind his back to soothe him. His body suddenly felt a wave of nostalgia but he wants to savor this moment first.

"What did I told you before?"She hummed contently pat her back gently, "As your nee-san, I would never do that. Unless your cross my line then that's it."You joked mischievously to lightening up the situation and moved your hand up to pat his head.

"But don't worry. I won't hate you forever though."

He pulled his head away, still sniffing while trying to not make any eye contact with you that or he would be busted since his eyes are now puffy red.

"So, wanna eat these cookies together?

He smiled weakly and extended his hand out to grab your offered cookie between your finger,

"What an eyesore."

A gust of wind went past you with a sharp gasp left your lips with horror and terrified flashed in your orbs at a quick image of your past and without thinking but won't your quick instinct, you immediately grab a hold of his wrist while your another one took a hold of the fence.

"Watch out~! The iron fence is kinda slippery after the drizzle."A voice said, causing you to lifted your head back up to see the one and only male apparition on the rooftop, who is having a sadistic smile dancing on his lips. You managed to said it out loud through your gritting teeth,

"Why are you doing this, Tsukasa . . . ?!"

"He is only a nuisance. Better get rid of it."He reasoned between his cackles and look at you in the eyes, sending shivered runs down to your spine after hearing the words he spoke,

"Besides, if you fall, it's not like you are going to die again anyway. We even will increase our comrade and make our job easier if he dies."

Seeing confliction replaced the euphoria in your eyes, he exhaled a low sigh in satisfied, feeling guarantee that you wouldn't betray him after threatening you.

"I would be waiting for the rumor, after this. Better settle these things hurry, [Y/N]-chan. You are our Mastermind after all."Thus was said, he turned his body around when a sound of splashing water was heard in his ears. A smile crept up to his lips, only for it to become wider.

With white mist engulfed around you, resulting your whole outfit changed with the now much more comfortable outfit while making your way back to the broadcast room after gets yourself away from the Student President.

Sliding the door open and lifted your gaze up, only to be greeted with a clothes body against your face, arms wrapped around your head while legs were wrapped around your neck.

"AAAHHHH!!! [Y/N]-CHAN IS HERE! I MIIISSSSS YAAA, YA KNOW!!!"

"Okay, I get it. Get off."You pried himself away and gasped deeply for air, giving him to Natsuhiko for him to hold.

"How can you aren't angry with him?"Natsuhiko inquired with a bead of sweat behind his head, bewilderment was shown in his eyes.

"I've been asking myself that question for years."She mumbled with a defeated tone, weakly smiling to the male.

"I have two rumors in mind despite the haunted place would be the middle school lockers located. But it suited for his regret eyes. He wants people to acknowledge him, right?"

"Ah! As expected our Mastermind! We totally can count on [Y/N]-chan to create a rumor for us!"Raven-haired male apparition cheered out loud with his childish tone of voice while throwing his hands up into the air.

Natsuhiko chuckled and pursed his lips to form a cat-like-smile before crossing his arms and spoke,

"Then which one would we use?"

"Why don't we use both?"

You furrowed your eyebrows together in turbulence at his abnormal request.

"Pardon? What do you mean?"

"Don't mind it. Just let me handle this~" With his sing-song voice, he then shoved you forward to the microphone and make you wear the black headphone on both sides of your ears for you.

"Let's use the one . . . that you think much less scary first?"

"You sighed reluctantly; to which he erupted another giddy cheer once again— and took the hold of the microphone when a sly smirk produced on your lips that soon appeared on Natsuhiko's and Tsukasa's wide grin while Sakura remained stoic when a small smile etched upon her lips.

"Let me see . . . "Bringing the microphone closer to your lips as the smirk grew wider and look at the others,

"Have you heard this rumor?"
