stiles and aurora climbed out of roscoe, the both of them look over at scott before they looked at the school.

"where is she?" stiles asked in worry as they started to walk towards the school.

"over here." allison called.

this made trio quickly make their way over to the two girls, allison and lydia meeting them halfway.

"lydia?" stiles said.

"it's the same thing. same thing as the pool." lydia started. "i got into the car heading somewhere totally different, and ended up here. and you told me to call you if there's a dead body." she finished.

"you found a dead body?" stiles questioned.

"not yet."

"what do you mean 'not yet'?" aurora then asked, furrowing her eyebrows slightly.

"lydia, you're supposed to call us after you find the dead body." stiles elaborated.

"oh, no. i'm not doing that again." the strawberry blonde shook her head. "you find the dead body from now on."

just as those words left her mouth, aurora turned to where the beacon hills high school sign was at, seeing that something was laying on top of it. or more like someone. the hastings girl nudged scott, making him look at her with furrowed eyebrows. seeing that she was looking at something, he followed her gaze to the sign, his eyebrows furrowing slightly.

"how are we supposed to find the dead body? you're always the one finding the dead body." stiles asked, his voice going up a few octaves.

aurora took a few steps towards the sign, seeing that the body of a deputy was laying across the sign. "guys. i found the dead body." she called, making stiles, allison, and lydia turn to look at said body.

there was blood dripping from her neck and onto the sign, her lifeless eyes staring at aurora. if she wasn't so used to seeing dead bodies, aurora would've felt sick to her stomach as she continued to look at the deputy. and even if she was used to the sight, she couldn't help but feel bad. she could smell the fear that was coming from the body.

"she was scared." aurora mumbled, a small frown on her lips.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

"idioms, analogies, metaphors, and similes, all tools the write uses to tell their story." the voice of ms.blake announced as she walked around the classroom.

the pack - except for allison - were in their english class, trying to at least have some type of normalcy in their lives. aurora had been trying her hardest to stay awake since she still wasn't getting any sleep, boyd flooding her mind whenever she closed her eyes. ms.blake had been sending the girl looks through out the whole class, which was starting to annoy aurora.

ever since that night, aurora had been getting bad vibes from the english teacher. she didn't know what it was since ms.blake had witnessed everything that had happened before aurora even got to the loftย  but her spidey sense had been going off like crazy whenever she was around the older woman. so feeling ms.blake gaze land on her, for what felt like the hundred time since class had started, was making her stomach churn.

"lydia, i wasn't aware you had so many hidden talents." ms.blake said, making aurora turn to see that the woman was hovering over lydia, looking down at what was on her paper.

"you and every guy i've ever dated." lydia commented.

"wanky." aurora mumbled as she turned back around in her seat, earning a chuckle from both scott and stiles.

"oh, um, well, that was an idiom, by the way." ms.blake said before going back to the lesson.

"you watch too much glee." scott told aurora, shaking his head.ย

"no, you don't watch enough glee." the gamma wolf shot back.

"idioms are something of a secret to the people who know the language or the culture." ms.blake continued, sending looks to stiles, aurora, and scott. "they're phrases that only make sense if you know key words. saying 'jump the gun' is meaningful only if you know about the starting gun in a race, or a phrase like 'seeing the whole board.'"

"like chess." stiles mumbled.

"that's right stiles. do you play?"

"uh, no. my father does."

ms.blake shot him a smile, which made aurora's stomach churn again for some reason. she shook her head slightly as she started to doodle in her notebook. she'll get the notes from one of her three friends that were in the class.

"i think i can get to ethan." scott whispered, making aurora look up at him with furrowed eyebrows. "i'm pretty sure i can make him talk."

"can i punch the both of them?" aurora mumbled as she glared at her notebook

yeah, she was still angry at the twins for helping kali kill boyd. she every right to wanna hurt them. but she knew that she couldn't, cause that would cause more problems that they didn't need.

"what do you want to do that for?" stiles asked scott, both boys ignoring aurora's comment.

"the druids are emissaries, right, rori?" scott questioned, making said girl nod her head. "so what if the darach was an emissary to the alphas?"

"okay, first of all, i cannot believe that we've gotten to the point where a sentence like 'what if the darach was an emissary to the alphas?' actually makes sense to me." stiles started. "second of all, we're gonna have a huge problem getting to ethan."

"what's that?" scott asked.

"going through aiden." aurora mumbled, making stiles point to her in agreement.

"ever since he's been back at school they're always together. how are we gonna separate them again?" stiles quizzed, his voice low so that they wouldn't get in trouble.

"i could punch him." aurora suggested, a tight lipped smile appearing on her lips.

"you know you can't." scott quickly told, making the hastings girl release a huff.

then the three of them looked at each other, all of them thinking the same thing. they then turned around in their seats, their eyes landing on a certain strawberry blonde named lydia martin.

"what now?" she asked with a pained look once she noticed the stares.

"we might need you to do a little favor for us." aurora answered. lydia gestured for the girl to continue. "we need you to distract aiden while we talk to ethan."

"why can't you just talk to ethan?" lydia questioned.

"because aiden is always with ethan. it's gonna be extremely hard to talk to him if thing 1 is always around." aurora answered.

lydia looked at the trio, seeing that they all had a pleading look on their faces. she rolled her eyes, "fine."

stiles fist bumped the air in triumph, a small smile taking over his features. "thank you, lydia. you're the best."

"whatever."

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

"rori." scott called, making said girl look over to see him and stiles.

the bell had rung a few minutes ago so aurora was at her locker, putting her english book inside. her and the boys were planning on talking to ethan right after class since lydia had gone off to find aiden.

"yeah?" she questioned, closing her locker.

"uh, we think that only the two of us should talk to ethan." stiles informed, rocking back and forth on his feet.

"what? why?" she quizzed.

"well, you've had this hatred towards them ever since boyd. . ." scott answered, his voice trailing off at the mention of the beta wolf. "we just - we just don't want your anger to take over and cause trouble."

aurora glared at the floor, knowing that her best friends were right. whenever she was around the twins she would always glare at them, shining her white eyes before she walked away. "so what? i'm gonna be left out of everything?"

"not everything, all right? we'll tell you after school." stiles told her.

"fine." the hastings girl mumbled.

the boys smiled, the both of them stepping forward to kiss her on her forehead. she couldn't help but smile at the gesture, quickly pushing them off so that she could wipe the wet kisses they planted on her head.

"ew!" she exclaimed.

"oh, you know you loved it!" stiles shot back before he walked down the hall.

"we'll call you afterwards, okay?" scott said, making the shorter girl nod.

"okay." she answered lowly, knowing he could hear her.

the mccall boy sent her a smile before he went after stiles down the hall. she released a huff, not knowing what else to do. she could just finish the school day, continue to go to her classes. but she would be bored since her friends wouldn't be there. and then she realized that she hadn't seen allison all day.

"i know what i'm gonna do." she mumbled as she started to walk towards the exit.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

aurora was about to climb through allison's window, but stopped herself when she heard chris enter the room. she was hanging off the railing of a small balcony, silently thanking whatever being was in the sky for giving her super strength. she looked down from where she was making her grip tighten onto the balcony. it wasn't a big drop, but she knew that she would still suffer an immense amount of pain if she did fall.

the sound of a door closing made aurora release a sigh, the hastings girl swiftly climbing onto the actually balcony. she started to fix her jacket and shirt, since they had somehow traveled up her body. in the process of her doing that, she knocked over the small plant that was out there, making her wince slightly. hopefully chris didn't hear that.

before she could go to pick the plant up, she was pulled into allison's room through the window, landing on her back. she didn't make a move, already knowing who had done it since the room had belonged to them. she then felt the someone quickly straddle her waist before she put a blade to her throat, the cold metal soothing her flushed skin.

"rora?" allison questioned, still holding the blade to said girl's throat.

"hi." aurora greeted, a small smile appearing on her face as a blush crept to her cheeks.

she felt a lot of feelings in that moment. allison was straddling her waist and was holding a knife to her throat. there was admiration, love, slight fear, and a little lust.

"what are you doing here? how did you get up here?" allison quizzed, not moving.

"uh, i" aurora started, still trying to process the position she was in. "can you get off of me so i c - can give you a proper answer?" she then asked, the red in her cheeks becoming darker.

allison smiled, but climbed off of aurora and got up, pulling the taller girl with her.

"uh, you weren't in school, so i came to check on you. plus, scott and stiles are talking to ethan and they are worried that i might hurt him." aurora answered as the heat started to leave her cheeks. "and i climbed up the side of your building. it's a lot easier than it seems."

"and why couldn't you answer that before?" the argent girl questioned.

aurora raised her eyebrows, "a beautiful girl, straddling my waist while she held a knife to my throat? did you really expect me to think straight while you did that?"

"do you have a knife kink?" allison teased, a smile on her face.

"no. you still make me nervous." aurora answered, looking down at the weapon in allison's hand. "and that's a kunai." allison gave her a look. "i pay attention. anyway, why did you stay home? i thought something happened."

"i can take care of myself." allison defended.

"oh, trust me. i know, love." the gamma wolf shot back. "but that didn't answer my question."

"as we saw a few days ago, my dad has everything marked down on the map. even markings of the bodies that haven't been found or taken just yet. he obviously knows something that we don't and i just wanted to figure it out when he wasn't home." allison explained as she walked out of her room.

aurora furrowed her eyebrows, seeing what her girlfriend was getting at. "are you saying the chris is the killer? i mean, the darach?" she asked, following allison into chris's office.

"no. i mean, i don't think he is, at least. i hope he isn't." the argent girl answered as they walked towards the desk.

"well, that doesn't make any sense." aurora mumbled. "i don't know why it doesn't mane any sense, but it doesn't. i - i haven't gotten that. . . feeling when i'm around him."

"the spideysense?" allison elaborated.

"yeah. we gotta come up with a different name for it." aurora mumbled.

"well, just to make sure, you wanna help?" allison questioned.

"of course."

allison turned on the uv light before she held it up over the map. "there are five more bodies to be found but it doesn't say who the bodies are."

aurora started to scan the map, even if she had already seen it before. from the looks of it, chris didn't add anything to it. "it looks exactly the same as last time." she mumbled, turning around to lean on the desk.

allison turned to look at her, starting to examine the details of her face. she could see the dark circles under aurora's eyes from lack of sleep. she felt her heart ache, knowing that the hastings girl hadn't been getting any sleep because she still blamed herself for boyd's death. "are you okay, rora?"

"yeah, i'm fine." the taller girl answered, her hand shooting up to scratch her right ear.

allison's lip curled downward into a frown. aurora had scratched her right ear, which means that she's lying. the huntress understood that aurora had been through a lot over the past few weeks; finding erica's body, having to deal with the alpha pack, thinking derek had died, attempting to kill herself at that stupid motel, and then watching boyd die. she knew that aurora was having a rough time coping with everything, but she just wished that she didn't lie about being okay.

"i get that a lot has happened in the past few weeks, rora." allison began, making said girl turn to her. "but please don't push me away. i'm here for you if you're having rough time. or if you can't sleep because you keep having nightmares about boyd. i know that you're a gamma wolf, but you're still half human."

aurora smiled slightly, moving behind allison before she wrapped her arms around the shorter girl's waist. she then pulled her closer before placing her head on allison's shoulder. "i'm sorry that i've been distant. and for pushing you away. i don't do it on purpose, but it is a coping mechanism. . . which is very unhealthy, i know." she whispered.

allison melted into aurora's hold, leaning her head against aurora's. "it's okay. just remember that we're here. scott, stiles, lydia, isaac, and me."

"i will. i promise."

"now let's get back to looking." allison mumbled, making aurora groan. "you said that you wanted to help."

"i take it back. i wanna cuddle." aurora whined, pouting slightly.

"maybe later." the argent girl promised.

"fine."

with that, aurora backed away from allison. she leaned on the dresser that was behind the desk, folding her arms over her chest. her eyebrows furrowed as she remembered what ms.blake had said earlier, about idioms. about seeing the whole board. she tilted her head slightly, trying to look at the whole map from a different perspective.

"what are you doing?" allison questioned.

"uh, we learned about idioms today. ms.blake said something about seeing the whole board. but to be able to do that, you have to take a step back. sometimes, being close and personal makes you miss important details." aurora explained.

allison backed up into aurora's front, aurora subconsciously wrapping her arms around her. aurora was too focused on looking at the actual map, that she didn't see what was under it. but allison did.

"look at that. you see that?" the argent girl questioned as she stepped forward. she grabbed the map and pushed it the side, revealing the symbol that was on chris's desk.

"whoa, it's a five fold knot." aurora mumbled what she recognized it. "i - i looked it up after gerard told us about chris explaining it to him. it's a celtic symbol."

allison then started to move the uv light across the desk, making words appear in each of the five circles. "virgins. warriors. healers. philosophers. guardians." aurora read, her eyes widening when she read the last two. they had found out what the attacks are being based off.

aurora pulled out her phone, dialing stiles number. she would've called scott but this was more of stiles expertise. the dial tone rang for a few seconds, aurora hoping that the stilinski boy would pick up.

"what are you doing?" allison asked.

"calling stiles." aurora answered just as she heard a click. "stiles?" she called as she put her phone on speaker.

"hey. what's up?" he greeted.

"okay, so you know how the sacrifices have been based on virgins, warriors, and healers?" the hastings girl questioned, her eyes drifting down to the five fold knot on the desk.

"yeah?" stiles answered, unsure of where she was going with this.

"allison and i just found out what the next ones are gonna be based on."

"what? well, what are they?" stiles quizzed.

"philosophers and guardians."

"philosophers?"

"and guardians." allison repeated. "which after last night has to mean something like law enforcement, right?"

aurora felt her heart drop, not even thinking about that. "noah. . . stiles, you have to tell your dad. tell him whatever you need, however you need. just get him to believe. he has to know so he can be safe."

"okay, okay, okay. i know." stiles said.

"stiles, promise me, please." the gamma wolf pleaded. "i can't have him getting hurt."

"i will, rori." he promised before hanging up.

aurora released a sigh, turning her phone off before she stuffed it in her pocket. she leaned on the desk while aurora sat down in the chair. she didn't feel her phone vibrate in her pocket, too lost in her own thoughts, but when allison tapped her thigh, she snapped back into reality.

"mr.westover is missing." the argent girl whispered. "i have to stop him."

"i don't think that's a good idea. i mean, if your dad is actually doing all this stuff -" aurora began.

"if?" allison repeated in a questioning tone. "look at this. he knows everything. he's - he's planned everything.

"i just don't think chris would do something like this." aurora mumbled, folding her arms over her chest. "my spideysense doesn't go off when i'm around him. and yeah, he's acting shady, but honestly that's just chris being chris. his personality is shady. for all we know, he might just be trying to figure this whole situation out like us." she finished.

"well, i have to make sure, rora." allison said as she started to unfold a map. "if mr.westover was taken from the school, there's gotta be another point on the telluric current."

"where he'll be sacrificed." aurora elaborated. the gamma wolf then picked up the uv light and held it up over the map.

allison looked at the map she just unfolded while aurora continued to look at chris's map. the hastings girl's eyes flicked between the two maps, trying to see if anything was added. she then stopped on a certain spot, putting her finger on allison's map.

"this is new." she mumbled.

allison took her phone out, "then that's where he is." she said as she took a picture.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

aurora and allison pulled in front of an abandoned building. it was now dark outside, which made aurora feel more uneasy than she was. the hairs on the back of her neck had been standing up since they got in the car. she's been trying to convince allison that they should at least call scott, but she kept shooting the idea down.

the gamma wolf felt her stomach churn as she looked up at the building. "i still think that we should call scott. i have. . . a horrible feeling about this."

"so why did you come?" allison asked.

"because i wanted to make sure my girlfriend didn't get hurt." aurora answered, turning to look at the huntress beside her.

"your girlfriend can take care of herself." allison shot back, holding up the kunai from earlier.

"yeah, i know. but if she was to get hurt while doing something stupid - like this, i would go out of my mind. which i have told her a million times already. oh, and to prove her wrong. cause the darach isn't chris."

"well, then who could it be, rora?" allison asked.

the gamma wolf sucked in a breath, the thought of her english teacher popping into her head. "i have a small - huge feeling who it might be. . . but i have no evidence to accuse her."

"her?" allison repeated.

"yeah. . . never mind. it's not important." aurora shook her head.

"are you coming?" the huntress asked.

"of course i am."

the couple climbed out of the car and started to make their way to the building. they walked inside, aurora's stomach churning even more as the feeling got worse. she slipped her hand into allison's, the argent girl intertwining their fingers before she squeezed it gently. they continued to walk further into the building before aurora stopped, tensing up as a scent hit her nose.

"what's the matter?" allison asked, seeing how tense the taller girl was.

"i smell blood." aurora answered.

"where? what direction?"

aurora didn't answer, sniffing the air so that the familiar metallic smell could fill her nose. she looked towards the doors that was a meters in front of them, seeing that one of the doors were opened. she nodded her head towards it, making allison turn towards it. the argent girl started to walk forward, letting her hand slip from aurora's.

"ally." aurora called, but said girl kept walking.

aurora started to follow her, picking up her pace so that she could end up in front of her. the two continued to make their way towards the door, aurora's eyes widening when she saw that there was a man hanging from a chain that was wrapped around his throat. the hastings girl held her arm out in front of allison to tell her to stop, seeing that a figure had stepped out from behind mr.westover.

it was the darach.

allison stepped around aurora and headed towards the door, holding her kunai up as she did so.

"allison!" aurora called, running after her.

"get down!" the voice of chris yelled as he came from out of the shadows, two pistols in his hands.

aurora quickly pulled allison to the ground, having over her so that she could cover her from the bullets that chris was firing. she looked down at allison with a look that said "i told you your father wasn't the darach." chris continued to to fire his guns, walking further into the building.

"help him!" he yelled as he continued to shoot.

aurora shot up and ran towards the man, allison following her as they ran past chris. as they got closer, they realized who the man was.

"that's mr.westover." allison whispered.

"he's our history teacher." aurora added, her eyes scanning over his body.

"we were wrong. it's not guardians as in law in enforcement. it's philosophers as in teachers." allison realized.

"which means that the last one's gonna be another teacher." aurora mumbled, which made her start to feel anxious. "but there are thousands of teachers. . . who are gonna be in the same place tonight because of the recital."

"call them." allison told her.

aurora quickly pulled out her phone, stepping off to the side so that she could make a group call with scott and stiles. she brought her phone up to her ear, hearing the dial tone before she heard two clicks.

"what's wrong?" stiles asked as soon as he picked up.

"guys, we were wrong. it's not guardians as in law enforcement, it's philosophers as in teachers."ย  aurora quickly told them. "allison, chris, and i just found mr.westover with a a chain around his neck."

"that actually makes sense. tara, she wasn't always a cop. she used to teach middle school." stiles informed.

"then the last one's gonna be another teacher." scott realized from his end of the call.

"exactly." aurora confirmed.

"yeah, but there's dozen of them, guys. and they're all headed home." stiles pointed out.

"no. no, they're not. they're all going to the recital." scott corrected, making aurora nod, even though neither of the boys could see her.

"look, i'll see you guys at the school, okay?" aurora told them before she hung up. she turned towards allison and chris, who was having a small disagreement about chris lying to allison. "guys, i hate to interrupt. but we have bigger things to worry about. "

"the recital." chris concluded.

"guess we're going after all." allison mumbled.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

chris, allison, and aurora pulled up in front of the school. aurora was the first one to climb out of the car, running towards the school with allison following behind her. the hastings girl entered the school, going towards where the auditorium was. she got to the doors quickly, opening the door just as the orchestra started to play.

she saw scott a few steps ahead of her, the mccall boy turning to look at her. she nodded before she turned to see lydia a few feet away, the strawberry blonde waving slightly at her. she felt someone join her side, seeing that it was allison. stiles then appeared on the other side of her.

the group just stayed there, observing the auditorium carefully. and then aurora felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up as goosebumps appear on her arms. she looked over to where lydia was standing, or used to be standing. her stomach dropped.

"g - guys." she mumbled, scott and stiles looking at her.

they saw the look on her face, making them become more on edge. they knew that her spidesense had appeared.

"what is it? what's wrong?" scott quizzed, stepping towards her.ย

"lydia." she simply answered.

the boys turned to where lydia was standing, seeing that she was no longer there. they turned to look at one another again before the boys ran out of the auditorium. allison realized this, making her turn towards aurora.

"what's going on?" she asked.

"lydia." aurora simply answered. "ally, please, please stay here. okay? please."

"rora -"

"ally, please."

and with that, aurora ran out of the auditorium but didn't go after the boys. she went a different way, something telling her to look inside the school instead of outside. she prayed that she got to the martin girl in time, not wanting another person she cared about dying. as she raced down the halls, a scream filled her ears, making her hands shoot up to cover them.

once the screaming was done, aurora took off down the hall. as she was running, she shifted, feeling the hair on her face grow, along with her canines, ears, and claws. her vision turned red as her eyes turned to that glowing white color. she ran into the classroom that the scream came from, seeing that lydia was duct taped to a chair, a garrote hanging loosely from her throat. ms.blake was behind her. she also saw that noah was on the floor with a dagger in his shoulder.

the gamma wolf growled, gathering everyone's attention. "i knew it was you." she mumbled, her white eyes glowing as she looked at the woman.

"it took you long enough." ms.blake teased, glaring at the teen wolf.

aurora heard footsteps, turning her head slightly to see that scott was now there in his wolf form.

aurora was the first to make a move, jumping over one the desks to get to ms.blake. she went to swing her arm, attempting to use her claws to slash her, but ms.blake simply leaned back. aurora went to do it again, using her other arm, but it was blocked. before she could react, she was flying towards the back of the classroom, her back hitting the bulletin board as blood shot from her mouth. she slowly slid the floor, feeling her body ache.

scott was next, throwing a punch towards the darach but she simply punched him instead. the beta wolf didn't let that affect him, going to grab her. but ms.blake did the same thing to him as she did with aurora, sending him flying back into chairs. the mccall boy landed on his stomach as he coughed up blood before he knocked out.

aurora looked up, watching as ms.blake pushed the teacher's desk in front of the door with ease. stiles was looking through the window of the door, making eye contact with the hastings girl. she felt so weak and dizzy, slowly shifting back. it was like her body had shut down, but she was still able to see everything.

she watched as noah grabbed his gun from the floor, on one knee as he aimed the pistol at ms.blake.

"there was a girl. years ago, we found her in the woods, her face and body slashed apart." noah explained, still aiming his gun at ms.blake as she stalked closer and closer to him. "that was you, wasn't it?"

"maybe i should've started with philosophers. with knowledge and strategy." ms.blake said, ignoring noah's question.

the stilinski man quickly pointed his gun down, shooting her in her leg. she winced slightly before the bullet hole started to heal.

"healers. . ." she continued before she rushed forward and picked noah up by the knife that was in his shoulder.

"noah." aurora mumbled, attempting to get up from the floor.

ms.blake made him drop his gun as she pushed him into the chairs. "warriors. . ." she then ripped his sheriff badge off his shirt. "guardians. . ." aurora watched as she crushes the badge before dropping it to the floor. "virgins."

ms.blake leaned forward, letting her lips meet noah's. aurora watched in terror as the english teacher started to transform into the darach, scars appearing and covering her whole face and head. it reminded aurora of the hallucinations that she had of her mother's half burnt face. she winced as the darach let out an ear piercing screech.

the darach quickly grabbed noah and moved toward the window, bursting through the window just as stiles pushed the classroom door open. aurora felt herself being lifted from the floor, looking up to see that it was scott, still in his wolf form with blood trailing down his chin.

stiles ran past them and to the broken window, looking through it. "dad?" he called.
