after scott had left, stiles had went to go wake up derek by slapping him multiple times in the face. someone had called the cops during the chaos that was going on, so derek needed to leave. the argents, isaac, and peter had managed to get away, derek going to join them so that he could get cora. aurora and stiles had volunteered to stay at the hospital to throw the cops off, along with the fbi.

aurora had her head on stiles' shoulder, his head leaning on hers. they had been patiently waiting for someone to come talk to them while all of the other agents and deputies did inspections around the hospital. but they didn't expect a certain agent to appear.

"oh, just perfect." stiles sighed, making aurora raise her eyebrows.

"what happened?" aurora mumbled, not moving her head away from his shoulder.

"scott's dad is here." he mumbled, just as said man appeared in front of them.

this made aurora lift her head from stiles' shoulder, looking up at the fbi agent with a glare. rafael mccall, you could tell that he was scott's father. the mccall boy had almost every feature that the older man had.

"a stilinski at the center of this whole mess. what a shocker." rafael commented. his eyes the shifted from stiles to aurora, a small smile appearing on his lips. "rori."

"it's aurora." she quickly corrected before sending him a tight lipped smile.

"think the two of you can answer some questions without the usual level of sarcasm?" the agent asked the both of them.

"if you can ask the questions without the usual level of stupid." stiles shot back, making aurora snort.

"where's your dad, and why's no one been able to contact him?" rafael questioned.

"i don't know. i haven't seen him in hours."

"is he drinking again?"

this question made aurora scoff, looking away from the man. "the nerve."

"what do you mean, again? he never had to stop." stiles points out.

"but he did have to slow down. is he drinking like he used to?" rafael continued.

"what the hell does this have to do with anything?" aurora asked him, looking back up at him.

"just curious on how he's doing." rafael shrugged.

"all right, how about this? next time i see him, i'll give him a field sobriety test, okay?" stiles suggested sarcastically. "we'll do the alphabet, start with 'f,' end with 'u.'"

"how about you just tell me what the hell happened here?" rafael questioned, his eyes landing on aurora.

"we don't know what happened here. we was stuck in the elevator the whole time." she explained.

"you weren't the one who put the name on the door, are you?" the older man asked, making both stiles and aurora furrow their eyebrows.

"what name?" stiles asked.

"argent."

"shit." aurora mumbled.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

stiles and aurora had left the hospital and quickly made their way towards the argents' apartment. once they had gotten there, they had started to explain to both chris and allison what rafael had told them. this then made allison start to panic slightly.

"the word is guardian, allison." chris began, walking into his office, the three teens following him. "more than anyone, you know that's a role i haven't exactly lived up to lately."

"but she took scott's mother, stiles' father, and rora's uncle. that's not a coincidence." allison reasoned.

"yeah, i'd also consider the fact that someone put your name up in large block letters on the elevator doors." stiles added. "that kinda felt like a warning to me."

"i think it might be morrell. she knows a lot more than she lets on, and she might even be trying to help us." allison said.

"well, she needs to get on that a lot faster, okay? seeing as how the lunar eclipse is less than two freaking nights away." stiles comments.

aurora tensed up at this, forgetting that the lunar eclipse was close. she remember when boyd had told her that he had wanted to experience how the lunar eclipse made them feel as werewolves. how much power they would gain from it. but it actually takes away their abilities as werewolves. how was she gonna beat this without her abilities?

"stiles, don't give up hope." chris told him as said boy sat down in a chair.

"they could already be dead." stiles said.

"i don't think so. there's something about jennifer's tactics. it's like she's still positioning, still moving pieces into place." chris said.

"and you're one of them." allison quickly added.

"then let's not wait around to see the next move." he said before he grabbed a map and unfolded it. "everything she's done has been on a telluric current. so melissa, max, and the sheriff have to be somewhere on one of those currents, right?" he explained before he looked to stiles. "stiles, if we're gonna find them, we need your help." he then looked over to aurora. "you too, aurora."

"you seriously wanna go after her?" stiles asked, his voice cracking. "i mean, what if she just takes you like the others, huh? no offense, but what's the difference between you and them?"

chris picked up a gun and a magazine full of bullets. he then loaded the gun, a small smile on his face. "i'm carrying a .45. maybe she can heal from a hot to the leg and a few slashes to the face, but personally, i'd like to see how she holds up with half her skull blown off."

"maybe a few of her bones broken, too." aurora mumbled, glaring at the floor.

she had been quiet this whole time, slowly processing everything that has happened. the sad stage of max being gone had vanished slightly, and was slowly being replaced with anger. what the hastings girl didn't know was that they would take turns making an appearance until max is found.

allison moved over to her, slipping her hand into her's to help calm her down and for comfort.

"we've got one priority right now, and that is to find melissa, your uncle, and your dad." chris started again, putting his gun onto his desk. "we've got a map and every clue we need to figure this out. the only thing we don't have is time, which is why i need the three of you."

aurora looked over to stiles, who released a sigh before he looked back at her. the freckled boy nodded at her. "what's the plan?" she asked as she looked back at chris.

chris gestured for them to surround his desk so that they could look at the map. "the place where the sacrifices have been committed have usually been different from where the bodies have been found. i think the placement has to do with the strength of the current." he explained before he pick the uv light up. "so there's the school, the animal clinic, the bank."

"wait a sec, she wouldn't use the same place twice, would she?" stiles asked.

"only if she didn't succeed the first time." chris answered before he pointed the edge of the uv light to the bank.

"deaton." aurora mumbled.

"it was her only failure. that could mean something." chris continued.

"that's just one place so far. we're gonna need a lot more help." stiles said.

"what about lydia?" allison questioned.

"lydia? what can she do?" chris quizzed.

"uh, she's the one who's been finding most of the bodies. . . with no actual intention to find them." aurora answered.

"what is she? psychic?" chris asked.

"she's something." stiles answered.

"i heard jennifer call her a banshee." aurora added.

"wh - what is that?" allison and stiles asked in unison.

"a harbinger of death." aurora further elaborated. "it's in my mother's journals."

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

aurora felt the sun beaming on her face through the curtains, making her wince as she opened her eyes. her and stiles had slept over at the argent's last night, neither one of them wanting to go home to their empty houses. although she had barely slept, she had gotten more sleep than she had been getting the past week. she thinks that it had something to do with allison, the argent girl knowing how to calm her down.

she had laid in allison's bed for a few more minutes, not wanting to go back into reality just yet. allison and chris was probably packing all of their weapons, stiles watching in amazement and fear at how much weapons they actually had. she wondered if stiles had even gotten any sleep, knowing how he gets when it comes to his dad. his only parent left.

"hey." the voice of allison greeted, making aurora look at the door.

she smiled slightly, sitting up from the pillow. "hey. everyone ready?"

"yeah. i was just coming to wake you." allison nodded.

aurora released a sigh as she climbed out of the bed. she slipped her boots on and started to walk towards the door. "do i have time to brush my teeth?" she asked.

allison smiled, nodding her head as she stepped out of the doorway. she watched as aurora went into the bathroom, following her inside. she swiftly wrapped her arms around the taller girl, tiptoeing slightly so that she could put her head on her shoulder. she examined aurora closely, noticing the dark circles under her eyes, accompanied by bags.

"was last night the first time you slept in a few weeks?" she asked, feeling aurora melt into her hold.

"yeah, it was." aurora answered, it coming out muffled because of all the toothpaste in her mouth. she then bent down slightly to spit it out.

when she stood back up, she looked at her reflection in the mirror. she released a sigh at how tired she looked. she just wanted to get max, melissa, and noah back so that she could grieve properly over boyd and go back to not feeling like shit.

"we're gonna get him back, rora." allison promised.

aurora wondered if the argent girl had read her mind, but didn't dwell on it. allison was always good at knowing what she was thinking, even way before they got together. "i hope so." aurora mumbled.

"are you guys ready?" the voice of isaac asked, making aurora turn slightly to look at him.

"you're gonna help us?" she asked, feeling a small amount of happiness appear in her chest.

"max has been a better father to me than my own father was. of course i'm helping." isaac answered, a small smile appearing on his lips.

"uh, how's cora?" aurora questioned, hoping that she had gotten a little better.

isaac didn't answer, looking down as he shook his head slightly. aurora frowned slightly. she needed cora to get better. they needed to talk, they needed to break the weird tension that would surround the two whenever they were around each other. they needed to go back to how it used to be.

"guys, let's go!" the voice of chris called.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

aurora, allison, isaac, and chris all walked into the vault that boyd and cora was in just a few months ago. they all looked around, seeing that it was completely empty. but aurora could feel a pool of emotions in there, some from boyd and cora, others from deaton.

"it's empty." allison pointed out.

"be careful anyway." chris told her before he powered up his electric baton.

"i thought you only use those on werewolves." isaac said.

"i do." chris said before he turned around and stoked isaac with it.

aurora looked at him like he was crazy but then felt herself start to jolt and jerk. chris had another electric baton in his other hand, holding it to aurora's chest. the hastings girl slowly fell to her knees as chris continued to hold the baton against her. he pull away once she was completely down, jerking on the floor. he dropped the batons to the floor before he walked over to his daughter. he quickly grabbed her hand as he pulled out handcuffs, attaching them to her and the gate that was inside the vault.

"what the hell are you doing?" allison asked, looking at her father like he had two heads.

"i'm sorry." he apologized. "but you're just gonna have to trust me on this. i knew for a long time she didn't just operate on the currents. she was in sync with them." he finished before he dropped his gun to the floor.

aurora jerked a few more times, slowly turning her head to the vault entrance. she let out a few grunts, feeling electricity still running through her. her eyes landed on jennifer blake, or julia.

"now this is a sacrifice." she commented, a smug smirk on her face.

before isaac or aurora could react, chris and jennifer was gone. aurora felt herself jerk more as she forced herself to get up from the floor. she walked over to allison, grabbing ahold of the hand cuffs before she snapped them with ease. aurora felt into her, the hastings girl quickly catching her and holding her steady.

"why did he do that?" the huntress questioned, her voice low.

"i don't know." aurora answered truthfully, pulling allison into a hug, knowing that she needed some sort of comfort. "but we need to go get help, ally." she felt allison's grip on her tighten as if she was afraid to lose aurora too. "allison - ally, we have to go."

"they're all gonna die. aren't they?" allison asked.

aurora simply tightened her grip around allison as well, not knowing how to answer the question. she really hope that they didn't. she wouldn't be able to forgive herself for letting max, melissa, and noah die. she wouldn't even forgive herself for letting chris die. but she truly didn't know if they were gonna make it out of this alive.

"they're can't die." the voice of isaac mumbled from his spot on the floor. "they just can't.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

aurora, allison, and isaac was at the animal clinic, stiles, lydia, and deaton being there as well. stiles had figured out where max, melissa, noah, and chris were from looking at lydia's drawings of a tree. it was the nemeton. where chris and gerard was all those years ago. now the group of teens were trying to figure out where it was exactly.

"it has to be on a telluric current. or maybe even at the axis of two or where they all intersect." stiles informed. "i just know it's where derek took paige to die."

"my dad and gerard were there once. but gerard said it was years ago, and he couldn't remember where it was. and my dad obviously isn't here to tell us now." allison said, her voice trailing off as she continued.

"yeah, mine either." stiles added.

"then how do we find this place?" isaac questioned.

"there might be a way." deaton answered, making everyone turn to look at him. "but it's dangerous. we're gonna need scott."

"on what level of danger are we talking about, deaton?" aurora asked.

"actual death danger." the vet answered. "three of you, preferably the three out of the four who lost their parents, are going to be surrogate sacrifices for them."

"we - we die for them?" allison questioned.

"you - you can bring us back, right?" stiles then asked, slightly nervous.

"you remember the part where i said it was dangerous? if it goes right, the three of you will be dead for a few seconds, but there's something else you need to think about." deaton explained. "this is a dangerous thing for more reasons than one. you'll be giving power back to the nemeton, a place that hasn't had power for a long time. this kind of power is like a magnet. it attracts the supernatural, the kind of things that a family like the argents can fill the pages of a bestiary with. it will draw them here, like a beacon." he finished.

"doesn't sound any worse than anything we've already seen." stiles commented.

"you'd be surprised at what you have yet to see." deaton shot back.

"is that it?" aurora asked.

"no. it'll also have an affect on the three of you. you won't be able to see it, but you'll feel it every day for the rest of your lives. it'll be a kind of darkness around your heart, and permanent, like a scar." deaton answered.

"like a tattoo." both aurora and the voice of scott said in unison.

this made everyone turn to the doorway, the mccall boy standing there. he waved awkwardly as he walked towards the metal table that everyone was around. both stiles and aurora quickly walked towards him, the both of them pulling him into a group hug.

"you're a fucking idiot." aurora mumbled into his shoulder.

he released a chuckled. "i know."

she then pulled back, making sure to use all of her strength as she punched him in the shoulder. "had us worried." she scolded like a mother.

scott let out a yelp, a pained expression taking over his features as he brought his hand up to rub his shoulder. "i deserve that."

"did you hear everything?" lydia asked the beta wolf.

"yeah." scott nodded. "let's do it."

with that, everyone started to set up the ice baths. aurora remembered scott telling her about how isaac had done something similar a few months ago. . . minus the part with the having to die and everything. not only was there freezing cold water in the three metal tubs, there was also mistletoe floating in them. after about a minute argument between aurora and allison, they both agreed that it would be best if aurora went instead of allison.

"all right." deaton began after he finished pouring the last bag of ice into a tub. "what did you bring?

"um, i got my dad's badge." stiles started, looking at said item. "jennifer kind of crushed it in her hand, so i tried hammering it out a bit. still doesn't look great."

"well, it doesn't need to look good if it has meaning." deaton told him.

"uh, i guess i'll go next." aurora volunteered, pulling out a small statue that was carved from some wood. one half of a statue was a wolf and the other was the face of a woman. "my - my mom gave this to max when they were in high school, pretty much doing the same thing that we're doing. trying to protect everyone." (author's note: i couldn't find any pictures to put as an example, so ig use your imagination (:)

"scott?" deaton called.

scott opened his hand with a sigh, looking down at his mother's watch. "my dad got my mom this watch when she first got hired at the hospital. she used to say it was the only thing in their marriage that ever worked."

"okay, the three of you will get in. each of us will hold you down until you're essentially. . . well, dead. but it's not just someone to hold you under. it needs to be someone who can pull you back, someone that has a strong connection to you, a kind of emotional tether." deaton explained.

stiles and lydia made eye contact while aurora and allison did the same, knowing that they were the ones who were emotionally connected to one another. isaac and scott on the other hand, looked at one another awkwardly.

"uh, not that i don't mind. . . but if i'm emotionally connected to anyone, it would be rori. but she has allison, so. . ." isaac spoked, looking over to deaton.

"i'll take scott." deaton told him, making the lahey boy nod.

our favorite trio took off their jackets and shoes before they went to go stand in front of the tubs. aurora had even taken off the t-shirt she was wearing, having a tank top underneath. she sucked in a breath as her grip on the carved statue tightened. she slowly started to climb into the tub, letting out a shaky breath as her foot went inside. scott and stiles followed pursuit, the three of them sitting down in the tubs until the water was up to their necks.

"by the way, um, if i don't make it back and you do, you should probably know something." stiles told scott, shivering. "your dad's in town."

aurora watched as scott's eyes widened, taking in the newfound information. he then looked back over to his two best friends, who was already looking back. his brother and sister. the two people who have been with him since day one. the two people who he trusted with his life.

aurora feels allison's hands on her shoulders, making her look up at her. she saw the worried look in the huntress' eyes, making her give her a nod of reassurance, promising that it'll be okay. allison nodded back slightly. and in unison, deaton, lydia, and allison pushed the trio down into the ice cold water.

aurora had fought the urge to suck in a breath as she felt herself getting deeper and deeper into the water. she screwed her eyes shut as the water reached her face. she tightened her grip on the carving in her hand, hoping that this would work. she needed to find max. she needed to find melissa, and noah, and chris.

she had felt herself start to pull away from this reality, the painful sensation that was coming from the cold water was starting to vanish. but before she had fully gone under, her eyes shot open, showing her glowing white eyes. and just like that, she was fully under.

โžถ๏ธŽ โ˜ ๏ธŽ ๐“ƒฆ โ˜ ๏ธŽ โžถ๏ธŽ

okay, so i was very excited to write this episode and the next. they're like my second favorite episodes after the motel glen capri one. but i also noticed that this episode was really the first one where they actually showed stiles having a panic attack.

like we know that he has had them in the past because of his mother. but i feel like being thrown into the supernatural world would've caused them to start back up again. idk.

anyways, i hope u enjoyed this chapter :)
