ALINE LOVED HER FRIENDS, there wasn't a moment where they ever left her alone or in a bad place, always being there for her and always supporting her, her passions and her careers.

It made Aline grateful, but in that moment, she hated them.

Luna and Violet had went to the bathroom as soon as they ordered the dessert, while Mariana was supposed to stay with her at the table, but was called over by some friend of hers, and so she was left alone waiting at the table.

Taking out her phone to text and bother Charles, a voice interrupted her train of thoughts. 

"Here's the desserts."

Looking away from her phone, Aline smiled politely at the waiter as he started to place the desserts down the table, sending her a charming smirk and a bold wink.

"You're here all alone?" He asked, making her frown a little as she looked down at the squared table, where he had just set down four different desserts,  and just shook her head.

"Nono, I'm here with my friends." She said shortly, still holding a polite smile on her face, even if it was significantly smaller.

If possible, his smirk widened and he placed his hand on the table, leaning down towards her a bit.

"So, are you single?"

She cleared her throat, a nervous giggle escaping her lips as she shook her head quickly.

"Umh...uh, no, I'm not. I have a boyfriend." She lied, but the face of a certain monegasque still flashed on her mind as soon as she spoke those words.

His smirk fell, a scowl replacing it, and he narrowed his eyes.

"You females are always lying." He muttered, scowling at her before scoffing and turning around.

"Dickhead." She mumbled, rolling her eyes while she took her own dessert to start eating.

Soon enough, all the girls came back and after she sent a picture of herself eating the dessert to Charles after he asked what she was doing, the night quickly came to an end.

The four girls all got up from the table and went towards the exit as they had already paid.

Soon enough, Aline's phone started to ring, and she took it out just to see it was Charles calling.

That's a first. She thought, but still pressed the green button.

"Hello? Charles?" She asked, eyes sparkling with curiosity. 

"Hey Ange! Are you still at the restaurant?" He asked, nervousness dripping from his voice.

"Me and the girls are leaving just now, we got a little bit side tracked after the dessert. Why? You're bored again?" She teased, rolling her eyes as Violet and Mariana started to make kiss faces at her.

"Actually, yes. But I can call back when you get back to your house? Or- I mean if you're tired we could just talk tomorrow or, you know, whenever you want. Let's just do what you want." He breathed out, and Aline giggled at his nervous blanter.

"It's ok Charles, I'm not tired. And don't worry, we can talk all the times you want." She said, a small smile on her face as she opened Luna's car and sat in the back.

"Really? Because if I'm bothering you or your friends we can always call another time." He said, but still, the disappointment was clear on his voice.

"Nono, it's fine, all the girls are basically dead tired so you just keep me company, don't worry." She rushed out, lying as the girls had to cover their mouths to stop laughing at her words.

"Okay." He said cheerfully, and Aline pictured him with his usual grin on his face, lying on his bed in Monaco while talking to her, and couldn't help but let a little smile slip past her lips.

kinds rushed and totally uneventful but I wanted to get a chapter out because I felt ba lmfao.

the only important thing about this chapter is the fact that it mentions Jude, which is my oc in the max verstappen book that I have in my draft.

that book is set like an year before this tho so I guess that would be like kind of a prequel of this little series that I have in mind that I will, hopefully, post and update regularly.
