chapter four
The usually busy bar was stone cold quiet. The sound of the jukebox faintly playing in the background, occasionally distracting Dakota from her thoughts as she swished her beer around in her hand, elbows resting on the wooden bar top. Soft squeaks came from the other side of the bar as Penny wiped down the left over residue of alcohol. A loud sigh, "It's just, he's so unbelievably obnoxious and annoying, and it's like every second he spends breathing around me I just wanna push him up against the nearest wall and take him right there." Soft laughter followed by a smile, Penny turned around to face the slightly buzzed aviator, "I've been there," Mustang moved her head up, getting a look at the older woman's features as she talked, "Back when my dad was an Admiral at Top Gun, every opportunity he could he snuck into my room," she sighed, lightly throwing the rag down next to her as she leaned across Dakota. "He apologized for being an 'egotistical dick' and then. . ." she trailed off, not wanting to give her too much details about what the girl's father figure did.
A smirk tugged at the corner of get pink lips, cheeks being tinted a pale pink in result from the alcohol in her system, "Yeah, I don't need anymore details." Penny playfully hit her arm, a smile plastered on her face, "All I'm trying to say is," she placed a comforting hand on her arm, her thumb rubbing circles into her skin, "I know what you're going through. I may not be able to give you the best advice in the world, but what I can do is tell you how I temporarily 'solved' the problems." The pilot tilted her head slightly, her eyebrows furrowing as Penny picked up her rag, and started walking towards the back, "And the solution was?" "Sex!" A sarcastically pained groan loudly left her lips as she leaned her head on her hand. The bar owner's laughter echoing through the small building. "Gotta go record stock in the back, be right back!" She said as she walked through the door that led to the storage room.
A sigh.
The sound of someone struggling to open up the door disrupted the tired girl lazily sat at the bar. A slow bass reverbed throughout the bar, a song that Dakota could only determine was a Frank Ocean song. She groan at the annoying sound of the locked door repetitively trying to be opened, "It's locked you dumbass!" she yelled as she twisted her neck in order to see the person why was getting on her nerves.
Once again, to her dismay her heartrate involuntarily sped up.
None other than Rooster was placed outside of the door, making eye contact with her through the blinds of the bar. A scoff escaped her lips as she saw him roll his eyes as he licked his lips when he noticed her coming towards the door. Dakota opened it a crack, only allowing her body to nudge between, "What do you want." She stated, not wanting it to come off as a question, letting him know she was annoyed. He took a beat, as she looked up, noticing him looking down at her, almost as if he was looking through her.
"I left my aviators on the piano, need them for tomorrow." Bradley firmly stated, pulling his eyes from her as he looked behind her into the empty bar. He pressed his lips into a thin line. She sighed, moving her body to the side, signaling him to come inside. He scoffed at her silence, muttering something under his breath she couldn't comprehend as he bushed pass her, his hand delicately touching hers, as well as their shoulders briefly touching. She inhaled sharply, cursing herself for how she felt blood rush to certain parts of her body, she blamed the alcohol for making her feel like this. Because it couldn't be her conscience mind.
Dakota shut the door behind her, as she followed the tall man from a distance. She leaned against the bar, watching his back muscles flex at the smallest of movements he made. The female heard him loudly inhale, "You know you're terrible at hiding your emotions," He said, still looking down at the piano, not facing the female. This startled her, she muttered quietly,"What?"
Her breathing picked up, as he turned around to face her, slowly approaching her. "Your cheeks are flushed." He stated, almost as if it was common knowledge, "And I know it's not from the alcohol," he was now a few feet from her, she felt his eyes practiced undress her, "It's the same look you'd give me before I'd fuck the shit out of you."
She shifted her eyes to anywhere but him, licking her lips. A scoff quickly falling from them, "You're just flattering yourself, Rooster." she pushed herself off the bar, shrinking the distance between them, having to ever so slightly crane her head up to him to maintain eye contact with his hazel eyes, given she wasn't all that much shorter.
"Why would I, someone who is quite better than you, want to go back to what I like to call, 'a shit show?'" A rhetorical question, "I fucked you out of pity, and to release some tension every now and then." She was now face to face with him, purposefully shifting her eyes to his lips, heavy breaths escaping, watching his tongue dart out to wet them. A stern look on his tanned face.
Dakota smirked, "Phoenix has made me cum harder than you ever have, Bradshaw."
His jaw locked, rolling his eyes before they settled on hers, lowering his voice as he leaned in slightly, "That's not what you said while your legs were wrapped around me," Her chest was rising up and down, "Shaking."
She didn't know if it was the alcohol causing a fog over her brain or the tension that made itself known in the atmosphere, she dissipated the distance between the them, crashing her plump lips to his. A surprise groan into her mouth as his arm wrapped around her waist, pushing her against the bar top, a slight wince into his mouth as the edge of the counter dug into her back painfully.
Dakota ran her fingers through his hair, pulling roughly. She let her clouded mind take over, her sober thoughts going out the window, screaming at her to stop. A mumble against his bottom lip that was between hers, "God I fucking hate you," he nipped at her lip, causing a small whine to escape her. He trailed his now swollen lips to the corner of her mouth, cheek, and her neck, sucking a nibbling at her weak spot, causing an airy moan to be released.
"Such an asshole, doesn't even know how to make a girl c-" She was cut off, "Shut up," he groaned loudly, hovering his mouth above hers, trailing his hand to her throat, squeezing the slightest bit, "You're so fucking annoying," He bore his eyes into hers, as her brown eyes threatened to roll back at the lack of blood flow to her already foggy head, "You can't even shut up when I'm trying to fuck you." A high pitched excuse for a moan flowed out of her mouth.
He placed his lips against hers once again, trailing his other hand to her hip, squeezing it, as his other guided her head towards his. The feeling of his facial hair against her smooth skin causing an intoxicating feeling, her senses heightened in result.
"Dakota! are you ready to head out?" The sound of Penny's voice interrupted the sexually frustrated pilots, causing them to pull apart breathless. With swollen lips she responded, raising her voice a bit, "Yeah let me just pull my bike around the back," She pushed herself off the counter, Rooster removed his hands from her body, eyebrows furrowing, "Don't you have your own place?" he questioned, backing away from her and towards the door, wanting to create as much space between them. She nodded, as she followed him, waiting to lock it after he left, "Yeah but Penny needed help moving something and said she'd drive me to the base tomorrow morning," He shook his head in understanding, "I couldn't say no to her; and plus she makes a hella good breakfast." She ran her hands over her face, huffing, trying to rid her body of the feverous feeling he contaminated her with.
She opened the door, leaning against it as he stepped foot outside the bar, the cool air hissing against his skin, slowing down his breathing. Rooster turned his head to glance at her once he made it to his car, she shot him a tight lipped smile, cursing herself. He gave her a curt nod and started the engine, driving off.
Once she closed the door to the bar and locked it, she threw her self against it, she huffed loudly, mentally wanting to throw herself off a fucking cliff.
PAIGE SPEAKS
i'm SURPRISINGLY so proud of this chapter like i wrote it in record time, with no breaks, like DAMN.
also what'd you guys think of that somewhat makeout scene? like yes i put a warning in the intro paragraph that there would be sexual content in my story but i just wanna make sure you guys are fully comfortable while reading my book. so plz let me know if you want me to put warning at the beginning of the more mature chapters or not
now, i've gotten some message about hopes in more romantic moments between rooster and mustang and when they will be making an appearance, and the answer is: yes, there will be romantic and intimate moments between them, but it's gonna be a long time coming. like i'm talking twenty chapters in the future. this is a slow burn therefore it will be a while before the infamous love confession. also yes, the sex between them is crucial to the plot and mindset of dakota... it's also fun to write ;)
i hope you guys liked this one as much as i did! i luv u guys and thank u all so much for 2k reads and over 100 votes!!!
