━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 first one up, managing to only get an hour of sleep before her nightmares made her shoot awake. She stayed in her bed, a book in her hands as she glanced out the window, watching the others set the tent up for the wedding outside. Hermione moved, alerting Juniper that she was awake. The girl sat up, rubbing her eyes and turning her head to look at Juniper. Juniper offered her a small smile.
"Where's Ginny?" Hermione asked, taking a moment to let herself wake up.
"Downstairs talking to Harry I believe." Juniper answered. She closed her book as Hermione approached her, taking a seat on the bed before leaning her back into Juniper's chest, allowing her to wrap her arms around Hermione. Juniper kept her gaze out the window.
"Have you slept at all?" Hermione softly asked.
"Yes." Juniper nodded.
Hermione turned her head to look at her, causing Juniper to look down at her. "Don't lie to me."
"You won't like the truth," Juniper softly said. Hermione sighed, knowing she was right. Juniper looked out at the window, her eyebrows furrowing. "Is that the Minister of Magic?" Hermione sat up, looking out the window. The couple exchanged a look before getting out of bed, changing into casual clothes before making their way down the stairs. Harry turned to look at them, waiting for the two girls to join his side before walking around the corner coming face-to-face with the Minister. Ron was standing at the door, looking at the man.
"To what do we owe the pleasure, Minister?" Harry hesitantly asked.
"I think we both know the answer to that question, Mr. Potter." The minister said. The group of four took a seat on the couch, the Minister pulling up a chair on the other side of the table that was in front of them. He placed a package on the desk.
"And this is. . . ?" Harry asked, glancing at a the thinly wrapped package before looking at the Minister.
The Minister pulled out a letter, using magic to let it levitate as he began reading it. "Herein is set forth the last will and testament of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." Juniper rose a brow at the long name. "First, to Ronald Bilius Weasley, I leave my deluminator, a device of my own making in the hope that, when things seem most dark, it will show him the light." He removes the cloth around the package, handing a small device to Ron.
Ron stared at the device before looking at the minister. "Dumbledore left this for me?"
"Yeah."
"Brilliant. What is it?" The Minister couldn't answer him. Ron pressed a button near the top of the device, it opened up and suddenly all of the lights in the room left their respective bulbs, flying into the device. The top of it closed before Ron opened it back up and the lights all went back. Ron let out a chuckle of disbelief. "Wicked."
Scrimgeour continued with the will. "To Hermione Jean Granger, I leave my copy of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' in the hope that she find it entertaining and instructive." He handed the copy to Hermione who carefully reached out and took it.
"Mum used to read me those." Ron claimed. "'The Wizard and the Hopping Pot'. 'Babbity Rabbity and the Cackling Stump'." Hermione and Harry both looked at him. "Oh, come on. 'Babbity Rabbity'? No?" Harry shook his head. "June knows what I'm talking about."
"I do," Juniper nodded, a look of pure amusement on her face. "However, I was never read that as a kid."
"You were probably studying as a kid." Ron replied and Juniper cracked a smile of amusement.
"To Juniper Illysa Black." Scrimgeour interrupted them, bringing them back to the topic at hand. "I leave you my journal in the hope that you will feel a little closer to home." He handed Juniper a black leather journal and Juniper accepted it with a frown.
"What does that even mean?" Juniper mumbled. That's when she felt it, the hum of magic that echoed from the journal. This wasn't just a normal journal, she realized. Whatever was inside was important enough that Dumbledore had it encased in magic. Juniper looked at Hermione and then at Harry and Ron before glancing back down at the journal.
"To Harry James Potter, I leave the snitch he caught in his first quidditch match at Hogwarts as a reminder of the rewards of perseverance. . . and skill." Scrimgeour handed him the snitch.
Harry looked at the snitch for a moment before moving his attention back to the Minister. "Is that it, then?"
"Not quite. Dumbledore left you a second bequest―︎the sword of Godric Gryffindor. Unfortunately, the Sword of Gryffindor was not Dumbledore's to give away. As an important historical artifact, it belongs―︎"
"To Harry." Hermione interrupted. "It belongs to Harry. It came to him when he most needed it in the Chamber of Secrets."
"The sword may present itself to any worthy Gryffindor, Miss Granger. That does not make it that wizard's property."
"Well, it certainly won't present itself to you." Juniper commented. "I mean, if my intelligence is correct―︎which it always is―︎you were a Slytherin. So, why should you have any say in who the sword belongs to? That sword is Harry's whether you like it or not."
Scrimgeour stared at the girl for a moment before continuing his words. "If it pleases you to know, Miss Black, the current whereabouts of the sword are unknown."
"Excuse me?" Harry asked.
"The sword is missing." Scrimgeour repeated. "I don't know what you're up to, Mr. Potter, but you can't fight this war on your own. He's too strong." He glanced at the four of them before standing up and leaving.
Hermione placed a hand on her forehead, looking at the ground as she shook her head. A small laugh of disbelief left her lips, causing the three of them to look at her. Hermione lifted her head and looked at Juniper. "My word, you really don't care who's on the other end of that sharp tongue of yours, do you?"
Harry and Ron cracked a smile while Juniper let out a small laugh. "I'm sorry, I just can't help myself."
"Trust us, we know." Harry replied, standing up and never letting the smile leave his face.
"Would it really be June if she didn't shatter someone's cockiness in a single sentence?" Ron asked, taking a stand beside Harry.
"No, no it wouldn't." Harry answered, shaking his head, the small smile never leaving his face. The two friends walked away and Juniper turned her head to look at Hermione.
"Alright, love, we should probably get ready for this wedding." Juniper sighed, standing up. She held out her hands and Hermione grabbed them. Juniper pressed a quick kiss to her lips before they made it upstairs to get ready.

━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐀𝐒 in full swing and Juniper had a beautiful navy blue dress that had small silver stars all over it. She had on matching navy blue heels, the necklace Remus had given her was around her neck, silver stars in her ears. Her curly hair was falling over her shoulders like a waterfall, and she thought that she looked beautiful. The after party of the wedding was going on, Bill and Fleur were officially married and Juniper was so happy for him. The aurors surrounded the tent, keeping an eye out just in case something were to go wrong.
Juniper had dragged her dad into the tent, forcing him to have one dance with her. Sirius smiled at his daughter, twirling her around earning a delightful laugh from her. Sirius beamed at the sound. The sound of all his daughters worries fading away to the back of her mind just for the moment. Her shoulders were relaxed, her smile was bright, and for a moment she just looked so happy to be there. "You look beautiful, little star." Sirius smiled.
Juniper smiled back. "Hey, that nickname is the cause for this dress. So, I have to thank you for that."
"Well then, you're welcome." Sirius nodded. He pressed a kiss to her cheek when the song ended. "I should get back to my post."
Juniper pouted. "Must you?"
He nodded. "I must. I'll come back, don't worry. Besides, Hermione looks like she's been waiting to dance with you anyways and what kind of father would I be to separate my daughter from her girlfriend." Juniper nodded and Sirius pressed a kiss to the top of her head before walking away.
Hermione immediately walked over to her and Juniper smiled, taking her hand as they began to dance. "You look beautiful," Juniper softly said.
Hermione blushed. "Thank you. You look beautiful as well."
Juniper and Hermione danced together with Juniper twirling Hermione around and dipping her, pressing a kiss to her lips before bringing her back up. Hermione was a giggling mess, her face was bright red and she hid her face in the crook of Juniper's neck. Juniper laughed, holding her close as they kept dancing. When the song ended and the next one started, Juniper separated from Hermione to get herself a drink and Hermione occupied herself by talking to Ginny.
"Well, if it isn't the lovely Luna Lovegood." Juniper called, a wide smile on her face as she approached the blonde.
Luna sent her a soft smile. "Hello, Juniper." The two exchanged a hug. "You look awfully happy tonight."
"Well, the world isn't falling apart in front of my eyes in this very moment, so you could say I'm slightly relaxed." Juniper nodded, grabbing a glass and taking a sip of water. "Take care, Luna." Luna nodded her head and walked back over to her father.
Juniper turned her head, smiling when she saw her father and Remus standing inside the tent talking. She quickly made her way over to them. "You two look profoundly bored."
"Not bored." Remus said. "On edge."
Juniper cocked a brow. "You sure do know how to dampen a mood, Remmy." Juniper pursed her lips. "Huh, you must be where I get it from." Remus rolled his eyes and Juniper let out a small chuckle. Her laugh fell short when a blue ball of light appeared in the middle of the dance floor.
A message came from the ball of light. "The ministry has fallen. The Minister of Magic is dead. They are coming." The light faded and immediately people began to move before suddenly the tent was on fire. The joy of the wedding quickly unraveled into chaos. Juniper looked at Remus and Sirius with wide eyes and the two gave her a firm nod before she quickly ran into the crowd. Suddenly Death Eaters were inside, sending off spells and killing anyone they could. She couldn't find Hermione, Harry, or Ron, and she had to duck to avoid any spells or items that were thrown her way.
Finally, she spotted Hermione and Ron. Harry quickly joined the two and Juniper shot forwards. Hermione spotted her and held out her hand and as soon as their hands touched, they were gone. The group of four appeared on the muggle streets of London, taking a giant step backwards to avoid getting hit by a bus. They didn't hesitate to start walking, trying to get somewhere more hidden instead of out in the open busy streets. They followed after Hermione, trusting her to know where they were supposed to be going.
"Where are we?" Ron asked.
"Shaftesbury Avenue." Hermione immediately answered, turning her head to look at him before looking back ahead of her. "I used to come to the theater here with mum and dad. I don't know why I thought of it. It just popped into my head. This way." They followed her, quickly turning down an alley and walking deeper into it until they were hidden by the shadows. They pressed themselves up against the building as Hermione opened her bag. "We need to change."
"Yes, please." Juniper breathed. "Heels are not for the weak."
Juniper held open Hermione's bag allowing Hermione to stick her arm into it until the bag reached up to her shoulder. Ron looked at her in disbelief. "How the ruddy. . . "
"Undetectable extension charm." Hermione quickly answered. She handed each of them some clothes and Juniper couldn't help the breath of relief that left her lips.
"You, darling, are one amazing witch." Juniper complimented.
Hermione glanced at her, a small smile on her face as she pulled out another article of clothing. "I'm surprised you didn't think of it yourself." The sound of something falling inside the bag made Hermione sigh. "Ah. That'll be the books."
Juniper pressed a quick kiss to her cheek before looking at the three of them. "Let's hurry up and get changed. I have a feeling we won't be able to stay here for long." The three of them nodded before doing exactly as Juniper said.
