She ran, trying to process where the hell her friend might be. She ran to the Room of Requirement. When she came across it and the door opened she quickly ran inside. She paused, the room completely covered in a bunch of things. It was a maze of objects. She cursed to herself. She ran through the room, coming to a stop when she found Harry. She smiled only for it to fall when she saw Draco, Blaise, and Goyle creeping up behind him, pointing their wands.
"Well, well." Draco spoke, making Harry quickly turn to face him. "What brings you here, Potter?"
"I could ask you the same." Harry said, taking a step towards him. Subtly, Juniper crept closer to Harry, thankful the Slytherin's were too focused on Harry to notice her.
"You have something of mine." Draco said. "I'd like it back."
"What's wrong with the one you have?" Harry asked, pointing to his wand.
"It's my mothers. It's powerful, but not the same. Doesn't quite understand me. Know what I mean?"
"Why didn't you tell her?" Harry asked. "Bellatrix. You knew it was me. You didn't say anything."
Finally, Juniper made herself known. "Expelliarmus!" The wand went flying from Draco's hand as Hermione and Ron appeared behind her.
"Avada Kedavra!" Goyle shouted and Juniper quickly blocked it.
"Stupefy!" Hermione shouted.
Suddenly, Ron went running forwards. "That's my friends, you numpties!" He yelled, disappearing around the corner.
Juniper turned, walking over to Hermione. She gave her a small smile. "Told you I'd find you."
They quickly turned their heads when they saw Harry start climbing up a pile of objects, throwing chairs out of the way. In the process he let loose a cage full of pixies and Juniper tried to supress her groan. Hermione was climbing up with him, trying to help him move something before Harry yelled, "Got it!" He showed Hermione the tiara.
The two of them jumped down, Juniper holding a hand out to Hermione to help her. They quickly turned when Ron ran past them yelling, "Run! Goyle's setting the bloody place on fire!" He kept running and Juniper grabbed Hermione's hand and darted forward, glancing back to make sure Harry was following.
The fire chased them and Harry was trying his best to slow it down by sending objects in its path, but nothing was working. Suddenly they were completely blocked in by the fire and Juniper quickly darted her eyes around the place before yelling, "Brooms!" Quickly, they all grabbed one and began flying.
"Come on! This way!" Ron yelled. They flew past Blaise and Draco who were clinging onto a mountain of objects.
"We can't leave them!" Harry yelled.
Ron looked at Juniper and Hermione. "He's joking, right?"
"Afraid not!" Juniper called as they circled around. The first time, Harry missed and they had to go back around once more.
"If we die for them, Harry, I'm gonna kill you!" Ron shouted. The second time, Harry grabbed Draco as Ron grabbed Blaise. Hermione and Juniper shot forwards, keeping their path clear before they exited the room. They got off their brooms, Draco and Blaise went running, and the tiara was right in front of Harry.
"Harry!" Hermione shouted, tossing him the basilisk fang.
Quickly, Harry caught it. Without hesitating he destroyed the horcrux and as black smoke began to pour out of it Juniper quickly kicked it forwards into the Room of Requirement, making it fly right into the flames. Three Voldemort heads appeared, shooting towards them as it screamed and before it could reach them the door closed.
Juniper took a seat on the ground, laying on her back. "Oh, God." She panted. "I cannot do this running shit." She turned her head, sitting up as she looked at Harry who was painting. Each horcrux they destroyed not only affected Voldemort, but Harry as well.
"It's the snake." Harry said. "She's the last one. It's the last horcrux."
Juniper met Hermione's eyes, a silent conversation flowing between them. Juniper pushed herself up, walking over to Hermione as Ron kneeled in front of Harry. "Look inside him, Harry. Find out where he is. If we find him, we can find the snake. Then we can end this." Harry listened.
As they waited for Harry to tell them where to go, Juniper couldn't help but think. All Voldemort wanted was Harry, they'd destroyed all but one horcrux, but something about that didn't feel right to Juniper. Harry was connected to Voldemort, that much was clear with the way they could see into each others heads. She then thought back to the prophecy they saw back in fifth year, and something inside of her shattered. Tears sprang to her eyes and she forced herself to look away from her friends. Juniper realized, all too late, that the snake wasn't the last horcrux, but Harry was.
Harry opened his eyes and Juniper turned to look at him. "I know where he is."
They went running, using spells to fend of Death Eaters. If Harry hadn't grabbed Hermione when he did she would've been killed. They made it to the courtyard where a giant stood. When he spotted them, he immediately began swinging at them. When they got away from the giant, large spiders began chasing them. They came to a stop when they saw a werewolf chewing on a student.
"No!" Juniper yelled, pulling out her wand. Without thinking, without realizing, she used one of the unforgivables. "Avada kedavra!" She hit the man and he went flying out the window. She paused, eyes wide in shock as she stared at a now dead Lavender Brown. Hermione grabbed her hand as they kept running, the giant still chasing after them. They came to a stop at the walkway that would lead them where they needed to go, only to stop when at least a hundred, if not more, dementors headed their way.
From behind them, Aberforth Dumbledore pulled out his wand, a giant wave a light sending all of the dementors away. Instantly, they kept running. They ran down to the boathouse, kneeling right outside of it and listening to the conversation between Snape and Voldemort.
"There is no wand more powerful," Snape was saying. "Ollivander himself has said it. Tonight, when the boy comes, it will not fail you. I am sure of it. It answers to you and you only."
"Does it?" Voldemort challenged.
"My Lord?" Snape questioned.
"The wand. Does it truly answer to me? You're a clever man, Severus. Surely you must know. Where does its true loyalty lie?"
"With you. . . of course, my Lord." Snape answered.
"The Elder Wand. . . cannot serve me properly because I am not its true master." Voldemort claimed. "The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner. You killed Dumbledore, Severus. While you live, the Elder Wand cannot truly be mine. You've been a good and faithful servant, Severus. . . but only I can live forever."
"my Lord--" Snape was cut of as Voldemort slashed his wand through the air, a cut forming along Snape's neck. He fell to the ground and Juniper placed a hand over her mouth.
"Nagini. Kill."
Nagini listened, hitting Snape over and over again. Juniper surprised herself when she felt her eyes fill with tears. When Voldemort and Nagini apparated away, the four of them quickly entered the small building. Snape was leaned against the wall, covered in blood, but he was still breathing. Harry quickly approached him, kneeling down beside him.
Harry placed his hand on the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. Tears began to slowly fall from Snape's eye. "Take them." Snape begged, motioning to the tears. "Take them. Please."
Harry turned to look at Hermione. "Give me something. Quickly, a flask, anything." Hermione listened, quickly pulling out a small vial from her bag and handing it to him. Harry placed the vial against his cheek, collecting the tears.
"Take them to the pensieve." Snape instructed as Harry looked down at the vial of tears. "Look at me." Harry listened. "You have your mother's eyes." He let out his last breath, and he was dead.
Harry stood, walking over to them. Before they could leave, a sharp piercing entered their heads as Voldemort's voice echoed through their minds. "You have fought valiantly. . . but in vain. I do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a terrible waste. I therefore command my forces to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no great dishonor. Join me in the Forbidden Forest and confront your fate. If you do not do this. . . I shall kill every last man. . . woman, and child. . .who tries to conceal you from me."
The voice disappeared and they stepped out of the boathouse. "I'd rather die than have you confront that man, Harry." Juniper said, breaking the silence. Without saying anything else, she started back towards the castle with Hermione's hand in hers, not at all prepared for what she was about to come face to face with.
