The settings, weather and even chapter titles start off dark but overtime, become warmer as the book goes on. You also see Yoongi's perspective change with how he describes things like weather and interior, as opposed to the book's opening.

As for Gumball, he is a human embodiment of a little duckling; blindly crossing roads like they're rivers, imprinting on Yoongi after he fed him candy, following him around and waddling because his legs are so little. Gumball finds comfort in ducks and feels a connection to ducklings because he is one.

It was more of a symbolic coincidence, where Gumball represents an area of Yoongi. One who's always been an outsider for his antisocial nature, but still yearns to go on adventures and be kindhearted :)

I'm used to making very in depth and plotwisty storylines, but I really wanted to try something short, sweet and fluffy this time. (Even tho I've never read a fluff book LOL, was this okay??)

I didn't really follow one... But I do love Monsters Inc and Spirited Away!

Love translates in ways more than words and romance. I wanted to write a love story that embodied this. 🤍

...Ok fine. Gumball has level 1 ASD, meaning he experiences extreme clinginess and detachment anxiety due to his mild Autism. He understands things, but finds difficulty in initiating social interactions.
