Hazel realises that Elena is keeping something from her pretty quickly once she returned home from Caroline's house. She can't quite pick up on what it is yet, but, she knows that Elena is hiding something. Every time she makes eye contact with her twin, she makes this guilty face where her eyes are wide and her mouth crinkles like she's cringing at her. Hazel assumes that it has something to do with whatever happened on her secretive trip with Damon—because Hazel isn't sure what is happening there or why all of a sudden they're hanging out, but, she won't press on it because she knows Elena will eventually come to her to tell her. They don't keep secrets between them, that's the way they've always been.

Since it was a Friday night, it was weekly pizza night at the Gilbert residence—they haven't been able to do it as regularly as they'd like to keep the name, but, it's stuck the way it is and every Friday night, they try to order pizza and have dinner together as a family.

Jeremy was sketching at the dining room table when the door rang, he gets up from his seat to answer the door to the pizza delivery guy that was standing on the front porch, "Hey." He smiles politely when he makes eye contact with Jeremy, "It's going to be twenty-two dollars." He tells him as he pulls the pizza out of the bag that keeps the food warm.

Jeremy then turns behind him, "Guys, I need the money!" He shouts out to the twins, as Elena was in her room and Hazel was reading a book in her own room with her earphones in. One of them had the cash to pay for the pizza, and they would sort it out amongst themselves. Jeremy then turns back to the delivery guy, "Uh, here. Come in. Just put it on the table." He tells him as he walks back into the dining room.

Hazel took her earphones off after finishing her page and came downstairs to see Elena handing the money to the delivery guy, "Hi. Um, keep the change." She says as he takes it.

Hazel sends him a strange look when she notices the way he stares at them both, but doesn't speak on it as he steps out of the house backwards, "Thanks. And you have yourselves a good night."

Elena smiles and shuts the door and Hazel gets an uneasy feeling at the way he looked at them before the door closed in his face. Jeremy grabs the pizza box and takes it into the kitchen to grab plates and Hazel turns to her younger sister, "Did you invite him in?" They learnt their lesson the last time when they invited Damon and Stefan into their house and that they even had said so themselves to be careful who they invite into their home next time, because that person could be a vampire.

Elena shrugs, "He was inside when I came down." She tells her and Hazel lets out a sigh of relief. At least that took care of the anxiety that he could be a vampire, because they didn't invite him in.

Hazel could enjoy her pizza a little easier now.

The next night, Hazel and Elena met up with Bonnie at the Grill to catch up for dinner. Caroline was going to join them but needed to catch up on homework because Liz had been on her ass about keeping her grades up so she couldn't join until after. The girls had finished their dinner before Hazel stood up to buy the girls a round of milkshakes.

Once Hazel was at the bar, Bonnie shook her head, "I can't believe you're adopted. I never saw that coming." She says and Elena's eyes widened because she still hasn't told Hazel what she learned yet.

"Shh!" Elena quickly interjects, nudging at Hazel who was at the bar and shook her head to tell Bonnie that Hazel doesn't know about their adoption. She hasn't figured out how to tell her, and she knows if she found out this way, she would be crushed.

"You haven't told her?" Bonnie's eyes are equally as wide because she's in disbelief that Elena told her first before she told her own sister—who this information actually affects.

"No, I don't know how!" Elena exasperates, "But, it gets weirder. I looked at our birth certificates. It lists Miranda and Grayson Gilbert as our birthparents. None of it makes any sense."

"Which is why you should ask Jenna—and tell Hazel." Bonnie pointedly says and Elena groans, "First of all, the Elena I know would always tell her sister everything. Because she knows she would want the real truth, good or bad."

"And second of all?" Elena asks.

"You just found out your sister's ex-boyfriend is a..." She looks around and lowers her voice to a whisper, "vampire, so, unless your birthparents are aliens... how  bad could it be?"

Elena lets out a laugh, "You can't say that. It's like the rule of thumb to never say that." She says as Hazel walks back over and sits down at the table with a slump, the two of them stopping their previous conversation.

"They're out of chocolate syrup." She pouts as she crosses her arms over her chest. It was almost comical the way she was acting childish but, her sister and her best friend love chocolate milkshakes and she couldn't get it for them, "I mean, when have they ever ran out of chocolate syrup?"

Elena laughs at her sister, "It's okay. My waistline shouldn't really handle another milkshake unless I want to not fit into my outfit for the dance." She says as she looks down at her watch, "Which we need to go to the store for soon anyway since it's severely lacking accessories."

Hazel's eyebrows raised, "Oh, I guess we could go now then since we're not having milkshakes." She suggests and turns to Bonnie, "Did you want to come with us?"

Bonnie shakes her head as Elena stands up, "No, thanks, Haze. I have to get back home soon. I'll pay the bill, though." Bonnie says as she stands up also.

Hazel scoffs and hands her a twenty dollar bill while she stands up, "Nonsense. Here's our portion. Love you, Bons."

The twins then walked out of the Grill, waving to Bonnie on their way out and went towards Elena's car in the parking lot when Hazel's phone starts to ring. Hazel digs it out of her purse and puts the phone to her ear without checking the number, "Hello?" She answers while continuing to walk towards the car.

"Hello, Hazel." She hears, but, she doesn't recognise the voice as anyone she knows.

"Hey, who is this?" She asks when she reaches the car, waiting for Elena to unlock it as she reaches into her own bag and retrieves her keys.

"You hit me with your car." He says and Hazel freezes in fear knowing exactly who it is now, "Is that a new one?"

Hazel gasps and whips her head to look behind her and Elena sends her a strange look at how panicked she was. She sees a man walking up to them with a hoodie on and Hazel turns to Elena, "Get in the car, Elena. Now!"

"You got away from me. You won't next time—" Hazel hangs up on him as she had heard enough as Elena quickly unlocks the car door. The twins get in the car and Elena ignites the engine, reverses, and speeds off down the road, right past the man, who watches her drive off as he walks across the road.

"Why me?" Hazel questions as she's sat down on the couch in the Salvatore Boarding House library with her knees up to her chest for comfort as Stefan hands her a cup of hot tea to calm her down, "What does he want with me? A-and if he's trying to kill me, then why call first?"

"Do you remember anything about him?" Stefan asks.

"I wish." Hazel shakes her head as she takes a sip of the tea, feeling calmer as she ingests the warm liquid while Elena rubs her back, "I never really saw his face. All I can remember was that he was wearing a hoodie and these black boots when he was coming towards me. And if he survived that car crash, he has to be immortal, right?" She concludes as she looks up at her ex-boyfriend.

Stefan nods and sighs. There was definitely another vampire in town that wasn't himself or Damon, because they didn't turn Logan or this other stranger, and he was causing turmoil, "If there's another vampire in town, we need to be careful until we can figure out who it is and what they want from you. We're predators—we hunt, we stalk; it's often as exciting as the kill so he'll be relentless until he succeeds." He starts to say, "I want you to take this."

Stefan sits down on the table in front of Elena and Hazel and pulls out Jeremy's pocket watch. Elena takes it and looks at it while Hazel looks at him, "That's Jeremy's pocket watch. How did you get it?"

"I took it from Damon, who took it from Logan, who must have taken it from you." Stefan explains and they make a sound of recognition. That must've been why Logan was hanging around their house before he disappeared, he was trying to get his grubby paws on the pocket watch.

Elena opens it up and observes the contents with confusion, "What happened to it?"

"Well, it's not just a watch. It's a... it's a sort of compass, but, it points to vampires." He gently takes the watch into his own hands, showing them how the compass works when the needle whirs around on the compass and finally clicks into place, pointing directly at Stefan.

Elena and Hazel look up at him in shock as Elena closes the compass, "Why did our father have it?" Hazel asks.

"Gilberts were one of the founding families, and back in 1864, they were among those who sought to eradicate the vampires. The compass was used to find us." Stefan explains, confirming everything they assumed about their own family history.

"Did you know them?" Hazel asks before clarifying, "Our ancestors?"

"Yes." Stefan answers, noticing the guilty look on Elena's face at Hazel's question, because it's clear that Hazel doesn't know that their ancestors weren't Gilbert's. He then licks his lips, "I want you to keep this. That way, you'll know if you're ever in danger."

      Hazel only nods appreciatively.

When they returned home that night, Jenna was already dressed up in a her '50s outfit and was cleaning up the living room. She perks up when she sees the twins enter the house, "Spoke to the insurance company. Car's totaled." She says as she approaches Hazel. The older twin knows that was going to be the case after she saw the state of her car after the crash and she nods her head, "You can use mine if you want."

"That's okay. Elena's said she's happy to keep driving me around. I'm kind of put off driving for a bit after what happened." Hazel replies with a cringe and Jenna nods understandingly. She knows she was already terrified of being in and driving cars, and now any progress she made was ruined because of that one incident—she'll start being behind the wheel again when she's ready in her own time. Hazel then looks at her outfit and smiles, "So, you're coming to the dance?"

Jenna smiles and a small blush appears on her cheeks, "Alaric asked me to help chaperone." She says as she walks around the couch and leans against it.

Hazel likes the way that Alaric makes her aunt feel, "Cool. It'll be fun." She tells her with a giddy nod, "I'm gonna go get ready myself." She says and goes upstairs, leaving Elena and Jenna alone; oblivious to the obvious tension between them.

Elena, not looking at her, picks up an apple and is about to take a bite. Jenna lets out a disappointed sigh and crosses her arms at her niece, "I don't set a lot of rules, Elena. Not with you. I trust you to tell me the truth. Where were you the other day?" She asks, "And why would you lie to me about it? I thought that we were closer than that."

Elena's avoidance turns into anger as she quietly snaps back, "Now is not the time you want to talk to me about lies." While she's accepted the fact that she and Hazel were adopted, she's still upset that they had gone nearly eighteen years without knowing the truth.

Elena turns to go towards the staircase to get ready, and Jenna shakes her head as she pushes herself up to a standing position to follow after her, "Don't do that. Don't turn this back on me. I didn't do anything."

Elena turns and looks accusingly at Jenna, knowing that Hazel was in the shower and wouldn't hear any of this conversation, "Okay... question: are we adopted?" She asks bluntly and Jenna looks slightly startled by the question because she had no idea that she had found out. Elena's eyes narrow as she throws back Jenna's words onto her, "I trust you to tell us the truth, too, Jenna. How could you not tell us? I thought we were closer than that."

Jenna panics. She was going to tell them eventually she just didn't know how and it wasn't something she was going to have to do, "Elena, I didn't—they asked me not to."

"I don't want to hear it!" The Gilbert girl quietly hisses, "Why didn't you tell us, Jenna?"

Jenna's mouth opens and closes a few times as she tries to find the words to say, slightly startled at this whole conversation. She sighs as she goes back to leaning against the couch, "Your mom was gonna do it eventually. I never thought I'd have to." She says, looking down at her feet. She looks away uncomfortably knowing she has no choice but to tell her the truth, because if Miranda was there, she would tell her, "Your dad was about to leave the office one night when this girl showed up. She was sixteen, a runaway, and... about to give birth." She starts and Elena's eyes widened, "He delivered her babies, and he gave her a place to stay, but, a few days later, she disappeared." Jenna explains as she walks closer to Elena, "And there you two were. Your parents were trying so hard to have a baby. I—it just wasn't happening. All Miranda ever wanted was to be a mom."

Elena's eyebrows furrowed, "Well, why were our parents' names on the birth certificates?"

"Your dad was a doctor, Elena. He took care of it." The Sommers woman explains with a shrug, "They didn't wanna lose either of you, so, they kept it quiet; told as few people as possible, but, if anyone ever wanted proof, they had documentation."

Elena can only blink in surprise and shake her head, "What else do you know about her—the girl?"

"Just her name." Jenna answers with pursed lips, "Isobel."

Hazel was in her bedroom getting ready, adding the finishing touches to her '50s hairstyle after she already blow dried her hair in the bathroom and was now waiting for Elena to finish getting ready with music playing in the background. She walks over to the closet to grab the pink scarf she had hung up in there for the outfit before shutting the door. She thinks she hears a noise and walks into the hallway, "Jenna?"

No one responds and all she can hear is the blowdryer turning off. She walks back into her room, unaware that the compass needle that was on her bed was turning and spinning like crazy until she hears the noice faintly beneath the sounds of party music. She finally sees the needle spinning out of control and walks over to the bed, quickly, to pick it up. She picks up her phone and dials Stefan's number hoping that it's him that's causing the compass to freak out before quickly walking out of the room, "Stefan's phone. How may I help you?" She hears Damon's voice.

She's confused to hear his voice as she walks down the stairs anxiously, "Where is he?"

"He's on his way to you to make sure you get to the dance safely. Forgot his phone." Damon says.

Hazel stops as she reaches the living room and lets out a sigh of relief, "Oh, thank God. This compass was spinning. Stefan must be here. Thank you."

"You're welcome." Damon says and Hazel hangs up.

"Everything okay?" She hears Elena call out from atop the staircase, practically ready to go.

"Yeah, just overly paranoid—as usual!" Hazel can't help but laugh at herself. She's too on edge.

Suddenly, she hears someone land on their feet behind her and grab her shoulders. Hazel spins around and gasps as she sees a man behind her. The man, who had been the one stalking her grabs her to pull her close with his fangs extended, getting ready to bite her neck. Hazel lets out an ear piercing scream and before he can bite her, Stefan yells and rushes in, "Hazel!"

Stefan pulls the man off of her and throws him over the couch as Elena runs down the stairs to help, seeing her sister having lost her balance and fall to the floor. The man quickly gets up from the ground and runs out of the house before Stefan can stop him. Stefan runs over to Hazel once he's certain that he won't be returning but she refuses his help and grabs onto Elena's hands to stand up on her feet, "Are you okay?" He asks as he watches the twins embrace each other.

"You're okay, bunny." Elena assures her but Hazel can't help but tremble as she stares at the front door, still worried that her attacker will return. She should've known to listen to that gut feeling that she wasn't safe.

Within a few minutes, the Gilbert twins and Stefan were joined at the house by Damon. Damon paces around the living room while Stefan sits beside the twins on the couch, the girls holding hands tightly as Hazel was still in shock at what just happened. Home was supposed to feel safe, but, she's been attacked in her place of sanctuary now.

"How did he get in?" Damon asks.

"He must've been invited in." Hazel whispers, Jeremy must've invited him in while the twins were in their room. It's not his fault, he doesn't know about vampires therefore he wouldn't know not to invite just anyone into the house, "He posed as the pizza delivery guy last night."

"Well, he gets points for that." Damon responds with raised eyebrows because he's never been that desperate to get into a house before, "Did he say what he wanted?"

"No. He was too busy trying to kill her." Elena snaps in an obvious tone. It wasn't like he stopped to chat before he tried to sink his teeth in her.

Stefan looked at his older brother inquisitively, "And you have no idea who this is?"

"No." Damon answers but Stefan looks unconvinced, "Don't look at me like that. I told you we had company."

Elena looks almost scared as she asks, "You think there's more than one?"

"We don't know." Damon sits on the arm of the couch.

"Damon, he was invited in." Stefan reminds him.

Damon nods, understanding what Stefan is hinting at. If they don't kill him, the vampire will have ample opportunities to try again, and from the sounds of it, he'll just keep trying and trying until he gets what he wants, "Then we go get him tonight." He decided with a shrug and looks down to the twins, "You two up for it?"

"What do we have to do?" Hazel asks.

"Go to the dance. We'll see who shows up."

Stefan shakes his head, "That's a bad idea."

"Until we get him, this house isn't safe. For anyone who lives in it." Damon reminds his brother and Hazel's eyes widen in fear that Jenna and Jeremy could also be harmed by this guy if it's not dealt with, "It's worth a shot."

"We'll do it." Elena decides and Stefan looks anxious by the decision, but, it's what they have to do. Damon nods in agreement that the plan was made, "We'll be with the two of you. We'll be safe."

When the four of them arrive to the school, the dance is well and truly underway, with students dressed in their best '50s getups and dancing to classic music from the decade. Hazel spots Caroline and Bonnie immediately on the dance floor while Stefan and Damon look around the dance floor for any sign of danger. The twins walk over to the punch bowl while Hazel fidgets with her bracelet nervously when Bonnie and Caroline approach them.

"Having fun?" Elena asks their friends.

"No, but, this took about two hours, so, I'm at least staying half of that." Caroline says as she gestures to her outfit and the girls all chuckle.

Bonnie looks off into the distance and spots someone she recognises, "What's Damon doing here?"

Elena, Hazel and Caroline turn to look at Damon, who is standing with Stefan. Elena turns back around, "He wanted to come. I promise. He'll behave." She assures the group.

"So, what is this, like, a freaky Gilbert and Salvatore love group now?" Caroline remarks. She finds it weird that Damon has been seen clinging to Elena knowing that his brother is dating her twin—and they both have history with another girl who apparently looks similar to them.

"No, but, if Hazel is going to work things out with Stefan eventually, then we have to learn to tolerate Damon. It's not like I can kill him." Elena replies and Hazel makes a face because she doesn't think she has it in her to rekindle anything with Stefan again knowing that she looks like Katherine.

"There's a thought." Bonnie thinks out loud as she keeps her eyes on Damon.

"Mmm. I'll help." Caroline agrees and clinks her glasses with Bonnie's, causing the twins to smile and laugh at their antics.

It was a little while later when Stefan joins Hazel at one of the standing tables, the older Gilbert twin nursing a cup of spiked punch—courtesy of Jeremy whom she watched switch out the punches earlier in the night. She's still shaken by what happened at the house and can't get her mind off of it, but, she hopes that if she acts like a normal teenager and drinks spiked punch at her school dance, that she'd forget about the whole thing and relax. Bonnie and Caroline had left the dance because Damon had annoyingly chased them off, and now this was her only option.

"No sign of him." The Salvatore male informs her.

Hazel only nods stiffly. She isn't sure what to say and she hasn't really spoken to him since the day after the breakup, and she's annoyed at herself that she needs him because she's in danger without him. She wants to be a normal girl who can experience the type of breakup where her ex-boyfriend disappears after the breakup, not the one that is everywhere and anywhere. She then notices him still looking around for any signs of the vampire, "Shouldn't you guys be able to sense each other or something?"

"No. Doesn't work that way." He tells her and she deflates because that means he could be anywhere and they would have no idea, "See him anywhere?"

Hazel shakes her head, "Not unless he has a pompadour." Stefan huffs a laugh as he decides against trying to make small talk. She's still hurt about Katherine and he isn't sure how to make it up to her. She then sighs and swirls her drink in her cup, "Maybe he's not gonna show. Maybe he's just trying to do all of this to scare me."

Stefan's green eyes soften with guilt, "I'm really sorry for all this—and I mean all of it." He's sorry for dragging her into a world of lies and danger, and he's sorry that she's been hurt because of this world, and he's sorry for lying about her similarities to Katherine.

Hazel's eyes meet his, "It was my choice. I chose to be here and I chose to be with you." She says back sadly, "And I know you're sorry about Katherine, but, apologising isn't really going to do anything. You still lied to me and you ruined a really special moment for me that I can't get back." Losing your virginity is supposed to be special and romantic, and she had that... up until she didn't, "I just can't keep doing this, Stefan."

"Does that mean...?"

"That it's over?" Hazel finishes his sentence for him with a shrug, "I don't know. I can't tell the future, but, what I can say is that I can't trust you right now." She tells him truthfully and she can see that her words hurt him, "It sucks because I trust you with my life, but, my heart? Not so much."

Stefan wants to say something—anything—he wants to beg her to forgive him and cry because he's lost her with the lies that caught up to him. But, before he can do any of that, Hazel looks away from him so he can't see her tear up, and sees the familiar hoodie that's been following her around across the dance floor. She freezes in fear and turns back to Stefan, "Stefan, the back corner."

Stefan looks in the corner and sees the glimpse of the man in the hoodie amongst the crowd, "Get Damon." He tells her and quickly walks across the dancefloor, pushing students out of his way once he sees the man leave the gymnasium.

The guy in the hoodie exits the dance and walks down a crowded corridor into another darker corridor. Stefan enters the corridor and sees the guy turn the corner and jogs after him, then when they are in the darkened corridor, he vamp speeds over to the guy, grabs him by his hoodie and slams him into the lockers to reveal someone else entirely—someone human, "What did I do?" He asks Stefan, wondering why he's being pinned against the wall without explanation.

Stefan looks at the boy with confusion, "Where is he?"

"I was getting a soda, and then this guy gave me his hoodie." He tells him and Stefan lets out a scoff as he looks around, realising he's been tricked into leaving Hazel and Elena alone without protection.

Meanwhile, Elena was looking for her sister after she realised that she hadn't seen her in a bit and had gotten distracted talking to friends when her cellphone rings. She takes it out of her pocket and answers it, "Hello, Elena." She hears and Elena pauses because she doesn't recognise the voice, "You don't know me, but, your sister does." He says and Elena freezes in terror because she now realises she's talking to Hazel's vampire stalker and looks around for the source of the call, "Here's what you're going to do. There's an exit door behind you. You have five seconds."

"No." Elena says firmly. She doesn't want to play his game. She's already seen what it's done to Hazel, and she won't be another victim. He gets off on fear and she won't give it to him.

"Or your brother dies." Elena looks over at the punch bowl where Jeremy is serving punch and sees the hooded figure standing near him, on his phone with her, "I can snap his neck so fast I bet there's not even a witness. Now, start walking."

Elena starts backing up towards the door like she's told in fear for Jeremy's life, "Don't you dare touch him."

"Keep walking." He tells her, keeping his eyes on her, "Through the door." Elena keeps walking backwards across the floor when she sees the man start walking past Jeremy. Elena continues to watch him cautiously, but he passes Jeremy without even touching him.

Elena hangs up her phone and runs out the exit and down the corridor, looking behind her to see if he is following. She turns into another corridor and comes to a set of doors. She attempts to open the doors but they are chained shut. She turns back around and sees him walking calmly towards her and Elena rushes down a different corridor and opens the door to the cafeteria, she runs across the room and tries to open another set of doors which are also locked. Across the room, the man flings open a set of double doors and before Elena can move, he vamp-speeds towards her.

Elena attempts to bolt but he grabs her by her hair and Elena screams and struggles to get away. The man pulls her in towards him then throws her across a table and Elena lands hard on the floor. The vampire tosses the table aside and strides towards Elena while the Gilbert girl frantically grabs at a pencil on the floor and sits up when grabs Elena from off the floor and pushes her against the wall.

He extends his fangs and prepares to bite her, but Elena stabs him in the stomach with the pencil. The man takes the pencil out of his stomach in shock and starts towards Elena again but Elena prepares to attack again, and he raises his hand to defend himself, but Elena's pencil weapon goes straight through the palm of his hand.

The man looks down at his hand and while he's distracted, Elena stabs him with another pencil and pushes him to the floor. As he struggles to get up, Elena walks backwards and bumps into a mop bucket. She turns around and grabs the mop from the bucket and uses her knee to break the handle in two to create a stake. He rips the pencil out of his hand and gets up and as he advances towards Elena, she thrusts the stake towards him, but, he is too quick and grabs her wrist. He takes the stake out of her hand and tosses it aside and he then goes in to bite her neck.

Elena screams, but, before Noah can bite her, Stefan rips him away from her and tosses him to the ground. He gets up from the floor, "Hey, dickhead." Damon calls out to him, and the vampire looks back at Damon, who has a stake in his hand and the other Gilbert twin beside him, "Nobody wants to kill you. We just wanna talk."

The man smiles and rushes towards Hazel but Damon stakes the man in the stomach before he can get any closer. He grunts and falls to his knees while Stefan walks over towards him so he can interrogate him, "Now you feel like talking?"

"Screw you." The man strains out.

Stefan digs the stake in deeper and the vampire groans in pain, "Wrong answer. Why are you doing this?"

"Because it's fun." He answers through his gasps and Damon almost seems impressed by the answer because it's much like he would say.

Stefan digs the stake in a little bit more and Hazel can't help but blink in surprise at the level of aggression. She's never really seen Stefan this way, "What do you want with Hazel and Elena?"

"They look like Katherine." He answers as he stares at the twins and the four of them look shocked to hear that this stranger knew Katherine as well.

"You knew Katherine?" Damon's the only one to voice the same question they were all thinking.

"Oh. You thought you were the only ones." He laughs and gasps, "You don't even remember me."

Damon leans over towards him, "Tell me how to get in the tomb. Hmm?" He demands and Hazel looks at him in confusion wondering why he wants to know that—and what tomb?

"No." Stefan leans back down and drives the stake in deeper. He groans, "The grimoire."

      "Where is it?" Damon asks.

He doesn't answer so Stefan drives the stake in deeper and Hazel can only look away as the vampire gasps. She's terrified of the vampire but it doesn't mean she enjoys watching him get tortured for information, "Check the journal. Use Johnathan's journal—Johnathan Gilbert's."

Damon stands up and grimaces at the name, "Who else is working with you?" Stefan asks. There was no way he could've known and done all of this without help. The brothers hear a door open and turn to him again, "Who else is there?"

"No." He refuses, "You're gonna have to kill me."

Damon looks at Stefan, rolls his eyes, and nods. Stefan removes the stake from his stomach and the vampire groans in pain, and waits for a moment then stakes the vampire in the heart. Hazel and Elena gasp in shock as the vampire falls to the floor and begins to desiccate.

"What do we... how are you gonna find the others now?" Elena panics while Hazel could only stand there catatonically, staring at the vampire's dead body.

"He had to die." Damon says.

     "But..." Elena starts.

"Elena, he's been invited in." Stefan reminds him.

And while the stalker was now dead, Hazel still feels uneasy because she knows there's others out there that he was working with, and they most likely have the same ambition he did—to get to them because they look like Katherine.

And Hazel isn't sure how she feels about that.
