Physical Description
Jia is a very cute teenage girl who stands at average height, who is noted to be a quarter French and a quarter Italian (from her mother's side), though she is mostly Chinese (by her parents' side).

She has a slightly darker complexion like her father while Jia has shoulder-length black hair [that Jia tends to dye her hair blue, as shown in her official look]. Like her mother, Jiayi has light pink lips and bright bluebell eyes and light freckles on both sides and the bridge of her nose. Jia tends to let her hair down and like her mother, the full length of her hair reaches down to her shoulders.

In her civilian attire, Jia wears a white and teal [almost dark-green] striped T-shirt with the rolled-up sleeves of her blazer that her mother made; the inside of the blazer is lined in white with light fuchsia polka dots. Her blazer itself is made from black stitching and pink flowers design below the collar with black leaves. In addition, she wears light blue, almost denim ripped-up jeans and black combat boots.

She also sports rose-gold earrings that also serve as her Miraculous when Tikki inhabits the item. Like her mother, Jia often wears a light pink purse with a thin black strap over her right shoulder. Upon gaining her own Kwagatama necklace, she wears the necklace under her t-shirt.

As Miraculous Ladybug, Jia wears a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots and a black collar/turtleneck. According to her mother from one of her diary entries made, her suit is supposedly made out of indestructible fabric. When not in use, she keeps her yo-yo around her hips with a red string.

On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design, and the waterlines of her eyes are colored black. Her earrings are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennas or a ladybug flying when she's moving.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng - Though close to her mother, she wasn't as close to her for reasons unknown. However, her outlook on her mother changes when Marinette gives Jia a set of keys. When Jia goes to the locker, she learns her mother has entrusted her with her diary and a pair of earrings.

As she reads her mother's old entries and discovers she was the previous Miraculous Ladybug, the girl comes to appreciate Marinette on a deeper level, even though she is heartbroken to know her mother will never recover her memories of being the famous heroine or her time as the guardian of the miracle box.

As such, the girl also looks at her mother from a sullen outlook in the sense the two will never have that close, tight-knit relationship, though Jia will always value her mother's diary.

Quince Liang - The two have a typical father-daughter relationship, though the two are not as close now, given Jia's new secret identity as Miraculous Ladybug. Despite this, the two care for each other deeply and she tends to go to him when the girl is in need of advice.

Jang-Mi Liang - Jia and Jang-Mi have an antagonist relationship, which only worsens when Jia chooses to keep the ladybug miraculous and continue her mother's legacy as the next Miraculous Ladybug. Because of this, the two become enemies, which breaks Jia's heart as she genuinely did care for her older sister.

Nari "Ari" Liang - Jia shares a genuinely close relationship with Ari as the two share a typical sister relationship. Over time, their bond grows stronger and because Ari is the only sister she has [after Jang-Mi left and essentially ran away from home], Jia doesn't like the girl getting hurt.

His trusting nature also allowed her to confine the girl's secret as a superhero to him.

As a civilian, Jia is an energetic and bubbly individual. She tends to be overly talkative, switching between her two languages: French (or English, depending upon the version of the tv show) and Chinese whenever she gets too excited. Like her father, she is more carefree about things and tends to go with the flow.

In addition, Jia is highly competitive and naturally tends to be more aggressive in her desire to win. She is also very detail-oriented and tends to be creative with her projects regarding her graphic designs.

Despite this, Jia does tend to suffer from low confidence like her parents. This lack of self-confidence stemmed from her oldest sister, Jang-Mi, who always belittled her for being the "failure" of the family [which Jia never understood, seeing how her parents loved her all the same].

As such, Jia doesn't have much faith in herself which shows when she initially becomes the famous Miraculous Ladybug. Much like her own mother, Jia did have doubts about being the next Miraculous Ladybug, though she starts to overcome these doubts upon obtaining her mother's diary in her own Origin special, Jiayi will end up having her own setback.

When Jang-Mi angrily swears revenge against her for choosing to keep the miraculous "that was meant for her," Jia will become deeply hurt, especially when her own sister abandons her family by running away. As such, Jia will continue to carry the guilt that the miraculous wasn't meant for her.

As a superheroine, Jia's energetic personality is intensified, only now she tends to speak in bouts of French (or English, depending upon the version of the show) and Japanese, rather than switching between French (or English) and Chinese.

More so, Jiayi is tends to act impulsive as she doesn't tend to possess a great amount of patience, often going with her own plan. Though she means well when she occasionally acts on her own, Jiayi will always been seen as reckless to her team.

Her impulsiveness, lack of patience and reckless behavior are all reasons as to why she didn't want to lead the team, happily handing over the role of leadership over to Chat Noir [hero next gen OC owned by Sci-Briana17].

She would have also given the role of the team's co-leader/second-in-command to Snow Drift [hero next gen OC owned by Sci-Briana17], but the two convince her to co-lead the team as Snow Drift [hero next gen OC owned by Sci-Briana17] was happy just being the "glue" of the trio.

Despite this, Jia is loyal and considerate of her teammates, often acting as the second-in-command for her team (as she didn't want to lead like her mother), which will help with her maturity.

Jia's miraculous are a pair of rose-gold tint earrings with five black polka-dots. In its camouflage form, the ladybug earrings contain a sliver tint, giving off a metallic look while the exterior becomes a lighter shade of red.

In its charged form, the ladybug earrings lose its sliver tint, becoming purely red. Upon Jia activating her special power, the earrings glow a light golden hue that disappears once the transformation is complete.

In the event of the special power not being activated, the miraculous will remain in its newfound state [the rose-gold earrings] until the special power becomes used or once the detransformation phrase is spoken.

Name and symbolism behind the animal:
Ladybugs symbolizes luck and creation among other things.

Tikki is a red and black polka dot ladybug and genderless kwami who goes by she/her pronouns, representing the kwami of creation.

Her powers are but not limited to levitation, intangibility, immortality, an inability to be filmed, kwagatama creation, power up transformation, abstract concept and her unique special power, which is "Lucky Charm."

Kwami's appearance:
Tikki is a small brilliant crimson creature that is 10 centimeters (or 4 inches) tall. She has a tiny body, a large head, dark blue eyes, and freckles across her face. She resembles a ladybug, with two antennae, a large black spot on her forehead, back, and each side of her head, and a short tail with three tips aligned vertically. Tikki is also known for the ladybug species.

Kwami's personality:
Tikki is calm and collected while being optimistic, kind, and encouraging. She is very understanding towards others. She isn't judgmental as she is willing to give others a chance and respectful towards other people's privacy.

Although she can become annoyed or exasperated with others, Tikki doesn't stay upset at them for long, only wanting what is best for them and those around them. Though rarely seen, she does have a bit of a temper.

Having a lot of wisdom and is always looking for the bright side of things, Tikki is very open to giving advice, whatever practical or moral. She will call people out for bad decisions if necessary.

She can be hurt or displeased when someone isn't paying attention or appreciates her, though Tikki is more honest and tends to tell more things to Jia, admitting to her the importance of a kwami's cycle. Likewise, Tikki too values the trust she has with Jia, feeling guilty that she hid secrets from her.

Tikki believes in the importance of saving the world above her own needs, meaning that she is dedicated to her responsibility as a kwami although a bit reckless. Despite her curiosity about her potential powers, she understood the danger of what would happen if she or any other kwami were captured with the Miraculous spellbook's knowledge, showing her loyal side.

Tikki can act a bit rash if she needs to achieve something important. Tikki tends to take things literally. Sometimes, Tikki shows a more playful and affectionate side. She has a sweet tooth, which means she isn't a picky eater and is willing to try different foods to get her energy back up or just out of curiosity, but one of her apparent favorite foods is chocolate chip cookies.

However, according to Sass, when around things that are exceptionally good, Tikki's other side comes out where she goes crazy with her addiction for sweets, similar to Plagg's addiction for cheese.

Her sensitive side is also seen as she felt ashamed about her flaws believing that she'd be hated or feared by those around her. Beside this, Tikki doesn't like being accused or blamed by others.

A rarely seen side of her is that she can be a bit hesitant and panicky in a time of crisis until she is reminded of her current task similarly like her previous owner, Marinette, and occasionally like her current owner, Jia. Unlike Plagg, Tikki is more responsible with her powers refusing to use them for personal gain or revenge, even advising her owners to do the same.

Abilities:
Ladybug has much more enhanced physical abilities, such as speed and agility. These abilities allow her to react to and evade light-based attacks, as well as jump and leap several times her height and length. Similar to a real ladybug, she can climb up and walk on surfaces without her yo-yo.

The heroine's increased strength, near-invulnerability and great durability to physical damage allow her to jump off of two-story buildings and land without issues, though she can feel the effects of her actions should she fall and survive the height of a two-story building or one that has several stories.

Ladybug is skilled in hand-to-hand combat when fighting villains and through training by her Uncle Mars and Terrance, her combat skills have improved so much that she can fight blindfolded with ease [if she wanted to].

Ladybug has remarkable talent with wielding her own yo-yo, like using it as a grappling hook, a rope to restrain others, a projectile, a slicer even against solid materials, and a shield if she spins it fast enough. Her yo-yo also can work as a breathing apparatus for those who can't breathe underwater like herself.

After an akuma or amok is released from its corrupted object, Ladybug can open her yo-yo to catch it and remove the energy charged with it, releasing it into its original form.

Unlike her mother, Ladybug is not well with other weapons nor is she exceptionally well at dual wielding [as she requires training]. The heroine is also not a good swimmer like her mother.

As she has the power of creation, Ladybug is the one that is able to set the limits of her own power, allowing her to expand her powers. Like her mother, she has the ability to create magical charms that are able to prevent reakumatizations to those who receive them when she is determined to stop others from being akumatized.

However, Ladybug does not get a new costume as she is not the new guardian of the Miracle Box [that honor goes to Véronique Lahiffe, who serves as the new guardian of the Miracle Box].

Special Power:
Lucky Charm grants the user the ability to create an object that helps her to achieve her goal, often being to stop a villain. Though usually confused at first, her creativity and cleverness help enable her to perceive where the object can be used to help her achieve her goal.

However, using Lucky Charm immediately drains her power and reverts her back to Jia shortly afterward, so she has to use it wisely. Once the villain is dealt with, Ladybug can throw the object into the air and use the "Miraculous Ladybug" effect, which will make the item revert to an enormous swarm of ladybugs and fix all of the damage done since the villain appeared.
