FROM WHERE WE LEFT OFF...
Life after the collider's destruction has been less than ideal. ( Y/N ) Chase was used to walking alone, headphones blasting Metro Boomin in order to block out the noise outside. It was always quiet, that is until the other noises started popping up.
It's always the same, Peter's dying words, her mom and Mr. Wilson telling her to apply herself, the other spider-men leaving, and Kingpin... Kingpin she'd hear most often, he never left. She'll never forget that day again; the explosions, the goblin's lying body, all the guilt.
Now with Aunt May in Florida, she felt like there was no one to talk to about this. Well... Miles would always try, but there was something in the way.
Finally making it home, ( Y/N ) let out a deep, heavy sigh as she pulled off her headphones. She slowly took hold of the doorknob and swung open the door.
"I'm home! Sorry I'm late," ( Y/N ) called out as she entered her apartment.
When she got inside, a horror movie was blaring red into the dark room. She raised an eyebrow, glancing around to find that Susan was nowhere in sight.
"Uh... so when you forget to turn the tv off after you leave it's okay— ?" A loud scream from behind caused her to gasp, turning around to see Susan in a mask like in Friday the 13th.
( Y/N ) let out a sigh, placing a hand on her chest. "Oh my god—"
Susan chuckled as she placed a hand on ( Y/N )'s shoulder. "What are Jefferson and I always telling you kids?"
"You gotta keep your head on the swivel... some other cop slang I dunno?" ( Y/N ) snapped.
Susan frowned in confusion. "Are you okay?"
( Y/N )'s eyes widened. "Oh...uh, yeah — fine."
"Great! 'Cause we got pizza on the way, ice cream in the forever — oh, and ( N/N )! I rented three scary movies," Susan smiled. "I also know there's a new one on Netflix you wanted to watch called Fear Street, very cryptic."
"Yeah, yeah."
"Rent? Did you drive all the way to Jersey to do that?" ( Y/N ) gave a light smile.
"You got jokes about us," Susan replied with a chuckle. "And y'know, this is the one Aaron and I watched..."
"...on your first date," ( Y/N ) finished in a sarcastic tone.
"I screamed a lot, he laughed," Susan sighed. "And then..."
"Oh, dear God—"
"Okay, fine. You're young," Susan shook her head. "I call the couch."
"Nah, I would. But I'm... I'm just tired. Maybe next time,"
"Are you okay, ( N/N )?" Susan questioned.
"Yeah, I'm good."
"Alright... copy that."

( Y/N ) swung her bedroom door open and slammed it shut, getting a warning from Susan about slamming doors. She leaned against a desk, letting out another sigh. Thinking she was safe, she heard something from behind and gasped, turning around to see nothing.
As she threw her bag down, she placed her headphones over her head once again and headed towards her bed. She placed her hands behind her bed, glancing at Peter's old spider mask before closing her eyes, but the noises kept coming back...
You always seem so distracted... it's not always about the money, spider-man... we're right here, i'm right here... are you okay, ( N/N )?... I need you to pull yourself together and join reality—
Eventually, they stopped and her eyes widened, looking around the room as she threw off her headphones. ( Y/N ) sighed, sitting up from her bed. As she glanced to the corner of her room, she spotted a large shadowy figure with bright eyes standing right there in her room.
As it came closer, it slid under her bed. ( Y/N ) frowned in confusion, panting for breathe. But then again... it came back, it always does. It placed a shadowy hand on her chest, pushing her down into a void under her room.

Next thing she knew, ( Y/N ) was right back in that subway train. The same one Miles fought Kingpin in earlier that year, her eyes widened looking back and fourth until she saw the figure again.
( Y/N ) glared, her hand forming into a fists as a golden mist appeared around it. She let out a scream, running towards it but as she pushed it back... it came closer and turned in Kingpin.
"No, no, no, no.." ( Y/N ) shook her head. "Not again."
Just as he did with Peter, he yelled so loud it echoed through the room and pounding his fist on top of her, causing the floor to crack, feeling like she was falling and there would never be an end.

As ( Y/N ) fell back once again, Kingpin turned into a spider and began crawling towards her. She turned forward and stood up, running as fast as she could, but it kept on following her.
"Okay, it's all my fault — are you happy?!" ( Y/N ) yelled.
Running faster and faster, she eventually ended up in the one place she hoped to never see again: the collider room. Her breathe got shaky, trying to step back from what her and Miles fell into when finding the place and looking all over.
She got pushed down to the collider's floor by the figure, just like earlier the past year. Except the last place she ended up was in her room, where the spider had once again followed her. Before she knew it, the spider turned into multiple and began crawling all over.
( Y/N ) tried running away from them, but they cornered her and thankfully... it all ended. She looked up from her knees, sighing in relief. She then glanced at her bedroom door, stepping towards it and swinging it open.
As ( Y/N ; swung the door open, Susan let out a little gasp then a chuckle realizing who it was. "Oh, hey!"
"Hey, mom... do you have minute?"
"Yeah, what's up?" Susan questioned.
"Can we just... get some air?"
Susan smiled. "Of course, we can. Lemme grab my jacket."
The duo walked out of their apartment, eventually making outside to the sidewalk. ( Y/N ) let out a sigh, placing her hands in her pockets.
"I just got so much on my mind, y'know?"
Susan nodded. "I hear that, yeah. So tell me what's going on."
"It's just like... homework, boys..."
Susan immediately snapped her head in ( Y/N )'s direction. "Boys? That Morales boy better not be—"
"No!" ( Y/N ) chuckled.
"Good. 'Cause I thought this was like that time Aaron and I had our first breakup," Susan began, placing her hand on her chest.
"Oh, dear God!" ( Y/N ) exclaimed as Susan laughed.
( Y/N ) sighed, glancing at the once bright red mask in her pocket. "I really miss him..."
"I know, kid. I do to..."
