Music played in the back as Margo swiped through holograms of different hairstyles, deciding which one she'd like to try on for her avatar, seated at the control panel of the Go Home Machine.

As she swiped through the different styles, she made comments and shook her head waiting for the right one to come up. From behind, Miles let out a quiet yelp as when air was let out of the metal cracks on the floor. Miles wasn't as lucky, Margo sitting up from the small noise she heard.

When she stood up, her mask came over her face as she scanned around the room to see if anyone was in.

"Hmm," Margo hummed.

The screens disappeared, jogging up a few steps away from the controls. She looked around, not noticing the cords falling from behind her and Miles moving on the ceiling behind her.

From behind, Miles leaped down, taking over the controls turned on the machine. The sound of glitching alarmed Margo, causing her to turn around to see the machine activating on its own.

Margo shot a web at the controls and swung to the controls. Screens appeared around the control panel, while Miles was above pressing on some buttons to activate the machine. Margo looked up and shot a web at the ceiling, swinging up to see what it was.

But Miles was already leaping back down, finding his way over to the scanner. He bent down and a bright light scanned Miles, searching for his dimensional signature. Once it was found, a spider like machine came crawling down from the ceiling.

"What is happening?" Lyla questioned, popping up besides Margo.

"The machine activated on its own," Margo informed her.

"How is that possible?"

"It isn't."

Miles looked around as the metal spider leg shot up to one of the holes on the ceiling, bringing down a bright red web, then continuing the process, forming a barrier around Miles.

Miles looked around him as the webs formed. Meanwhile, Margo switched from each panel, trying to stop it from happening. Once she got to one of the panels, she squinted her eyes and got a better view of an invisible Miles.

Just then, Miles's spider-senses went off, alerting him that Miguel was about to smash through the wall. Miguel broke through, rushing over to the Morales boy. "Stop him! Now!"

"Man, what does it look like I'm tryna do?" Margo snapped.

Miguel came got up, running towards Miles with his claws and fangs out. He then jumped toward the go home machine, landing right on top of it, using his claws to try and rip open the barrier.

"Do something!"

"Miguel!" Peter hollered.

Peter, Gwen and ( Y/N ) flew in, landing right behind the scene. Peter turned back to Gwen and ( Y/N ) with wide eyes while ( Y/N ) just gave him a look.

"You let him hold your kid," ( Y/N ) mouthed.

"Okay, Miss Mashallah," Peter whispered, mimicking her earlier words.

( Y/N ) winced, looking down at her feet in embarrassment. "Can we not... talk about that?"

Miguel grunted as he tried ripping open the barrier. Meanwhile back at the control panels, Margo was about to turn off the machine, but Miles glanced at her silently pleading to let him go. She looked down at the machine before looking at him, nodding and pressing yes.

Back in the machine, a smile of relief formed on Miles's features as he pulled down his mask. "No!"

The machine made a loud noise before a bright light blasted throughout the room, Miles leaving and the machine going back up where it belongs.

The room went silence as Miguel panted for breathe. A piece of technology came from the wall, scanning Miguel before he grabbed it and threw it aside.

"Okay — okay. Enough," Peter was brave enough to be the first one to speak up. "It's not the console's fault."

"All he had to do was listen!" Miguel's tone grew violent in his answer, as his back muscles tensed up. "Why didn't he listen?"

"Maybe you weren't hard enough on him!" Gwen snapped.

"Gwen, don't do it," Jess mumbled to her.

Miguel turned around to her. "You let him go."

"Me?"

"You didn't catch him, Gwen!" He full faced the others now, eyes glowing red, full of rage.

"Okay, let's all just take a breathe —"

"Peter, ( Y/N ), wanna back me up?"

"Okay, as a father of a daughter, and a son of a mother—"

"Yeah, actually stop talking."

"Can't you try talking to him?" ( Y/N ) spoke up.

"We tried that," Miguel started walking towards her as Gwen moved aside.

"He's my friend!" Gwen added.

"That's the problem,"

"Do you know for certain what happens if he breaks the cannon?" Gwen questioned.

Miguel stopped on his tracks and turned around, looking right down at Gwen. "Do you wanna find out? I told you she was a liability."

Gwen tried moving forward, nearly about to fall back. "You're wrong! Jess — tell him, he's wrong!"

Jess let out a long, heavy sigh. "He's not."

"Are you serious right now?"

"I told you; you let him get away, I can't help you,"

"I'm not coming," Gwen stated.

"You're right."

Gwen didn't have time to respond back or protest when the Go Home Machine's spider arms grabbed onto her shoulders. "What the hell?"

She exclaimed and grunted as she tried shooting webs to pull her back, but the arms of the machine were too strong. Gwen struggled, fighting them back until eventually pulled into the machine and webs came from the ceiling. The machine kept her inside as she tried getting out.

"Go home, Gwen."

The barrier was starting to form around her as the rest of the spider society watched. As she stopped wrestling the machine to escape, she stood still and glared right at miguel.

"We are supposed to be the good guys," Gwen stated.

Bright light blasted through the room and Gwen was sent home. Spider-byte, Lyla and Jess all had saddened looks on their faces, not knowing how to feel about what they just witnessed.

"We are," Miguel muttered, looking at the floor before putting his up and turning to the society. "We are."

"Jess, Ben, come with me," Miguel ordered as he pressed on his wristband. "Margo send her home."

"What the hell, man? You're just gonna send me home to die?"

Miguel didn't take one look at her as the metal arm from the machine grabbed her by the shoulders just as it did with Gwen, pulling her back. She tried to push back forward, but was placed inside, webs forming all around her before the same blast of light went through the room again.

Peter watched, looking down at Mayday with a sigh before looking up to Miguel. "Yeah, sorry, uh... I gotta put her down for a nap—"

"Not you," Miguel cut him off, turning to face him as he walked through the portal. "I've had the right amount of you."

Once Miguel left, Mayday blew a raspberry before giggling and squealing. Peter pressed a kiss against Mayday's head.
