📍 NEUVA YORK, EARTH -928
✧ ─── ・ 。゚✦ *.✧.* :✦. ─── ✧
Truth be told, ( Y/N ) was excited to see what the facility of the spider-society looked like. She only heard descriptions of it from Gwen, making the energetic nerd come back just a little. After all, she was still Peter Parker's niece — being a dork ran in the family.
When they got to the elevator that lead them down to the society, it was dark with only a few bronze lights to help them see. Miles pulled his mask off, then Gwen and then Hobie and the other ( Y/N ). Miles looked at them in amazement. Hobie had curly brown hair, piercings on his eyebrow, ear and one on his nose. The other ( Y/N ) from Hobie's dimension looked like the one from 1619, the only difference was her style and personality. It was more punk rock, like Hobie's.
"How are you two even cooler under your masks?" Miles questioned.
Hobie shrugged. "We were just this cool the whole time."
Due to her not being able to dot anymore, Jess gave ( Y/N ) patches to put under her shoes so she could walk upside down with the other spider-men. Miles spotted ( Y/N ) looking up at everything and stepped forward, hoping to apologize for earlier.
"Uh, hey."
( Y/N ) turned around. "Oh, hey."
"Pretty cool, right?"
"Yeah. It's alright."
"Look, ( Y/N ), I'm so sorry for... what I said. I — I didn't mean..."
"It's fine," ( Y/N ) shrugged.
"No, it not. It's just...," Miles sighed. "I'm Spider-Man. Spider-Man's — my one purpose is to help others. I was so busy with Brooklyn I couldn't see what was going on with you and I'm sorry..."
( Y/N ) shook her head. "No, I disappeared—"
"I didn't look hard enough," Miles cut her off.
Gwen walked over to them, signaling that the elevator reached the floor of the society. "Hey."
Miles and ( Y/N ) shared one glance before heading towards the elevator with Gwen. The door flew a bright red light and the Chase girl insistently felt like she was back in Peter's spider-gear she'd. It then turned to a light blue as it opened up, revealing the large room.
The group entered the hallway and saw a room full of spider-people. Different spider-men were standing above the ceiling or on the floor of the pathways. As Jess got her watch out, another spider-woman in a blue and white suit and a red Hijab over her head came their way.
"This place is wild!" Miles exclaimed.
"Any sign of Spot?" Jess questioned.
"Hey, anyone spot Spot?" Spider-UK quipped.
Jess smirked. "Anyone else got jokes?"
Everyone popped in their own little quips as the group walked through. ( Y/N ) gave a light chuckle, feeling like she was in a room full of Peter's — most of them were, at least.
Miles placed his hands over his forehead. "This is unbelievable."
"This is the lobby," Gwen answered. When they looked up they saw a room all in white and pathways crossing each other like webs as the spider-men walked on them, light beaming through on the ceiling. "Welcome to Spider-society!"
✧ ─── ・ 。゚✦ *.✧.* :✦. ─── ✧
"Bit much, innit?"
Hobie remarked as he and stellar-spider with her mask off walked by him, Gwen trailing behind. Now that they weren't on the elevator, they were standing right-side up and ( Y/N ) didn't need the patches from Jess now, so she could walk again.
The paths were full of spider-men swinging around or just walking. A bright smile formed on ( Y/N )'s featured, letting out a light chuckle. Miles flashed a light smile at her and she took noticing in this, turning her head back to him and frowning in confusion.
( Y/N ) chuckled. "What?"
"I missed that,"
"Missed what?"
"Your laugh," Miles replied.
"Yo, lovebirds! Hurry up," the other ( Y/N ) called out.
Just before they could step forward, Miles started glitching and then ( Y/N ) shortly after. Gwen walked over to them with a worried look while Jess got two bracelets out and threw them towards the duo.
"Here," Jess said as she threw the bracelets.
"My own watch!" Miles exclaimed.
"It's a day pass," Jess explained. "This just keeps you from —"
They glitched once more, nearly collapsing to the floor but then quickly placed it around their wrists to keep them from glitching once again.
"From doing that."
( Y/N ) stood up. "I do not miss that."
Miles nodded. "Yeah, like the time when you were zip-zapping back in fourth with..."
"The Marvels," ( Y/N ) moved her hands like she was revealing a word. "I miss them... Kamala and I could've literally been twins, like we're both nerds... except she has no idea what Percy Jackson is which still offends me. Also her friends were nice like Bruno and Nakia although, I only got to meet them for like five seconds..."
"I thought I'd never see you again," Miles looked straight forward with a terrified look, remembering the multiple times Carol, Monica and Kamala switched places with her.
Just then, a group of Peter's in different colored suits came marching forward with types of weapons in their hands. They all spotted ( Y/N ) in the group and waved at her. "Hey, ( Y/N )!"
"Hey... Peter's?" She awkwardly waved at all them. "How do they know me?"
Gwen turned to face her. "Oh, you're either a love interest, family, or friend and... let's just say most of it didn't end well."
"Oh, wow."
"Hey, I'm Miles! I'm the new recruit!" Miles introduced himself.
"Peter, take the team to the transport deck to help deal with this Spot mess," Jess ordered as a car that had spider-man's colors and his face on the wheel's rolled up to them. A few spider-men hopped into the car and they rolled away.
"I wouldn't call it a mess," Miles defended. "More like a... success in progress."
Jess ignored him as they moved down the hallway. The group then passed by a spider-men with blonde hair and a scarlet suit. At first ( Y/N ) thought it was another variant of her Peter, but then Jess said his name and those hopes were crushed.
"Ben, I need you to—"
"— Sorry, I can't talk right now," Ben cut her off in a dramatic tone, leaning against the wall. "Thinking about my past."
"Actually, we need you here, for some reason,"
( Y/N ) awkwardly waved at him and as he took one look at her he went back to wallowing. She frowned in confusion as she moved along with the group, then shrugging it off.
( Y/N ) popped her head up besides Gwen. "Did I offend him or...?
"Oh, no. A lot of Spider-Men ( Y/N )'s died," Gwen explained. "Expect a lot Peter's to sigh at you if you ever bump into some more."
( Y/N ) lowered her head at the fact there's another dimension with her dead in it. "Dang it."
She walked up to Miles, but they were stopped by a horse who was upside down, with its own spider-man mask. Riding it was one of the spider-men Web-slinger. He had a cowboy hat and a bandanna for a mask. Miles jumped, letting out a gasp.
"Hey. The name's Web-Slinger," he introduced himself.
The horse licked Miles's cheek, making ( Y/N ) give a little chuckle. "Why does the horse need a mask?"
"To conceal her face," he replied and flew up with the horse. "Giddy... up!"

"Who is in these laser cages?" Miles questioned as they entered the next hallway. It was much darker, slightly kitten uo by the red cages of light holding all types of creatures and people.
Lyla popped up besides Miles and ( Y/N ) to explain. "Anomalies. Folks who wound up in the wrong dimension."
"We kick their butts and send them home," Jess added.
Gwen ran up behind Miles and ( Y/N ). "They're not very interesting."
"What? We got a bunch of Doc Ocs," she informed.
"Well, that's interesting!"
Miles noticed how ( Y/N ) looked straight ahead at Doc Ock's mention, hoping to not her the woman's alias again. If Miles was honest, the woman was psycho.
He placed a hand on ( Y/N )'s shoulder and flashed a light smile. "Hey, it's not the same one."
The holograms of Lyla moved around the more caves "a Mysterio, a Missterio," she then moved over to some cages with video game characters, one more pixel then the other. "A video game guy, another video game guy."
"I love video games!" Miles exclaimed.
"Interesting," ( Y/N ) gave a light smile.
"Are you talking to me?" The Spider-Man behind the cages asked.
They moved passed another cave where another figure was pounding his fist on the cage, aiming his weapon so he could hopefully escape.
"Typeface,"
"Go to Helvetica, Spider-Man!"
"Bold!"
The group continued the conversation as they moved past cages, but it quickly stopped when Lyla mentioned Uncle Aaron's alias, the Prowler. She then mentioned the name of Kingpin and ( Y/N ) froze, turning around to find she was standing right in front of his cage — he was different, one of the 'video game guys', but still the same.
"Kingpin.."
She stared at him sitting in his cage, frozen. Eventually, he took notice and quickly turned back to his cold and ruthless demeanor in just a few seconds.
"What?" King snapped, standing up and glaring right down at her.
"Oh — uh... I'll go,"
Miles left Aaron's cage and left to meet up with ( Y/N ), both leaving Kingpin. Miles placed a hand on her shoulders, following Hobie and Gwen. As they walked through the halls, Miles bumped into another spidey, Margo Kess. She was all purple, along with her suit.
Both spidey's turned around at their senses going off. "Hey, I'm Spider-Man."
"Oh! No way... all of us are," Margo replied in a sarcastic tone.
"Whoa! Why are you purple?" ( Y/N ) asked.
Margo chuckled. "I'd like to think it's more lavender, but I'm an avatar," Margo flew across the room and then up to the ceiling. "My body's back in my parent's dimension on a gaming chair eating Fritos," she explained as she showed a hologram of herself before turning back to normal. "It's better here."
Miles nodded. "Hear that."
The duo's eyes drifted over to a machine in the center of the room with the top part like a spider, building a barrier around one of the anomalies who wouldn't stop glitching.
"What does that do?" Miles asked.
Hobie leaned over to him. "Apart from having a great name?"
"The go-home machine," Gwen added.
"What'd I say, eh?"
"I voted against it," the other ( Y/N ) huffed.
Hobie chuckled. "And what would you have named it, love?"
"I'm still working on it,"
They watched as the anomaly glitched continuously. Once the machine was finished detecting his DNA, light flashed across the room and the anomaly was now sent home.
Gwen sighed. "We should go."
"So see you around," Miles said.
"Okay, good luck out there, man."
