The bus ride was certainly interesting. It was like sitting next to your uncle while he embarrassed you half of the time. Good thing the bus was just full of or snoring guys or New Yorkers who couldn't care less.
Once they got somewhere deep in the woods, Miles and Peter had their whole changing into spidey-suits sequence as ( Y/N ) calls it. Miles got a yellow sheet and put it around his neck, thinking it was a nice addition. Peter didn't seem to approve, making ( Y/N ) chuckle.
"Had to add on the cape," Peter noticed.
"I think it's cool," Miles shrugged.
Peter pulled off the cape. "Take that off, it's disrespectful. Spider-Man doesn't wear a cape."
Once Miles let go of the cape, the trio ducked down behind a rock. ( Y/N ) had only seen the campus from pictures Peter had whole investigation when he was... still with them. It looked pretty big from where she was standing. There was a large parking lot and the building was black and this dark green with Alchemax on it.
"How do we retrace Peter's steps?" ( Y/N ) inquired.
"That's a good question," Peter squinted his eyes and sat back down with Miles and ( Y/N ) copying his actions. "Got it."
After Peter came up with the new plan, Peter stood up and started stretching to get ready. Miles noticed that he didn't have any part in this plan. ( Y/N ) was fine with not being in it considering she didn't have their 'spidey-abilities'. "And what are we doing?"
"Step seven; you two stay here. You're look out," Peter said.
"Look, man. You gotta teach me how to do Spider-Man stuff or I'm not gonna be able to help," Miles insisted.
Once Peter finished his stretching, he shot a web up at a tree and swung over to the building. "Watch and learn, kid. I'll teach you on the way there!"
The duo watched as he swung over to the campus and ducked down to the rock they were hiding in.
"Why did I get stuck with a junky-old broke hobo Spider-Man?" Miles wondered before pounding his fist on part of the rock and breaking it off.
He lifted his mask off and ( Y/N ) tilted her head from her spot next to him with surprise. "That's new."
From below, they could hear a car pulling up. A door opened up, revealing a large figure; Kingpin and another man in blue skin and white hair.
( Y/N ) gasped. "Kingpin." She then ducked down in her spot behind the rock.
Miles frowned at this before taking a second look at the campus. With no second thought, he started running from their spot to the closest entrance. ( Y/N ) frowned in confusion, following him anyway.
"What are you doing?" ( Y/N ) whispered.

After they both got to the roof, Miles found the vents and they both headed on down. The duo were almost caught by Kingpin's bodyguard, but luckily was safe. They both crawled through the vents, whisper-yelling Peter's name. Eventually, Miles bumped into him.
"Peter!" Miles whispered.
Peter turned his head behind him. "What are you two doing here?"
"Kingpin's here," Miles replied
Miles tried squeezing next to Peter, which unfortunately left ( Y/N ) behind them.
"No! I can't sit there and let Spider-Man die," Miles stated. "I'm not doing that again!"
"I'm not as well!" ( Y/N ) added.
Miles squinted his eyes at him. "What?"
"Most people I meet in the work place try to kill me, so you two are a nice change of pace,"
The duo frowned in confusion, but then, a female voice came into view from below. ( Y/N ) tried to squeeze under Peter's other arm to get a better view of down below, which he didn't like. The woman had bushy brown hair, a white lab coat and a purple shirt.
"Look at this data; I can't really understand it, but these are really good numbers," the scientist began as she typed the password into her laptop.
Peter lifted up his fingers, counting the numbers and words needed to get into the laptop. "And... I got the password."
Once she was in, she turned the laptop over to show Kingpin her data. "Mr. Fisk, if we fire again this week, there could be a black hole under Brooklyn."
"You see this? And this?" An image of buildings glitching out of other buildings appeared on the screen, with a few shots of people running from the glitches on bridges and street. "This is multiple dimensions beginning to crash into each other."
Peter moved his fingers up and down, mimicking the woman below. Miles and ( Y/N ) frowned at this, which he took notice in. "This is pretty standard Spider-Man stakes, you get used to it."
"Hey, maybe he'll say you have twenty four hours," ( Y/N ) chuckled as she made her voice deeper to mimicking Kingpin's.
"You got twenty four hours,"
Miles and Peter turned their heads at her in shock. ( Y/N ) only shrugged, having gone through this with this universe's Peter. He talked about this a lot, so she understood the stake thing the other Peter was talking about.
As Kingpin and his bodyguard walked out, the scientist lady trailed behind them. "What this means, is that their could be a rupture in the space time continuum."
"Ooh. That's bad," Peter admitted. "Actually, everything she said was bad, I was lying before."
Once it was safe to leave, Peter was the first to swing out. He shot a web at ( Y/N ) and brought her down with him after. Then Miles crawled out, but got stuck to the lights, shaking them to try and escape. The first one to look up was ( Y/N ), tilting her head at this. "What are you doing?"
"I can't move!" Miles whisper yelled.
"Okay. Relax your fingers, we don't have time," Peter informed. "Just let go, be in the moment."
"I am in the moment! It's a terrible moment!"
( Y/N ) looked at the clear walls with wide eyes. "There right there!"
"They're gonna see you," Peter warned him. "Miles, you gotta unstick. What do you do to relax?"
"Oh, no..." ( Y/N ) sighed.
Peter b frowned in confusion. "What?"
Eventually, Miles stopped shaking and instead, "Needless to say-"
"Oh, for crying out loud."
One at a time, his fingers removed from the lights and he was let go from the ceiling with a hard fall. Peter and ( Y/N ) shared a worried glance, no longer seeing him. Peter jumped up from the desk and looked around the room, while ( Y/N ) looked under one of the desks.
"Miles, where'd you go?" Peter questioned.
"I'm right here," Miles replied.
"Where?" ( Y/N ) stood besides Peter.
"I'm right in front of you," Miles snapped.
Peter squinted his eyes, moving closer at the invisible Miles. "Can Spider-Man turn invisible?"
"Not in my universe," Peter poked a finger in his eye.
"You just poked me in my eye!"
"This is incredible. Some kind of fight or flight thing,"
( Y/N ) tilted her head before shooting it back up with a bright smile. "Fatal flaw? Are you a demigod!"
"No he's not a demigod," Peter sighed.
Just then, Peter and Miles shot their heads directly at the window. It was the scientist heading back to her office. Peter's eyes widening, drifting back to the kids. "Remember this password; DGFAMPESAND4$358765345535 and download this chromatic."
Miles took the key from Peter's hand. "How do-"
"While I... turn on the charm," Peter b threw his hand over his head like he was pushing his hair back.
( Y/N ) ran under the desk while Miles kept his invisibility on, standing at the computer. Peter b leaned against the desk, trying to keep cool. The scientist lady stopped on her tracks, her eyes widening with a bright smile. ( Y/N ) frowned at Peter's attempt to 'flirt.'
"Spider-Man?"
Peter snapped his fingers at her. "Hey, didn't see you there."
The scientist gasped. "Okay, okay, I'm kinda freaking out right now. I mean, you're supposed to be dead!"
"Surprise!" Peter b shrugged.
The scientist grabbed onto his mask and lifted it off of his face. She looked up and down at him before cupping his face to check him out.
"That's my face," Peter said in a muffled voice.
"An entirely different Peter Parker," she glanced down at his stomach. "Okay, a little bit of a gut there."
"Oh, yeah, yeah. I was way flatter before I warped,"
Miles started tapping into the computer, but paused at the last few numbers and flipped the laptop around. "What was the rest?"
"Hey, how old are you? Because you don't look a day over thirty five!" Peter exclaimed.
Miles got the last two numbers in and the desk top was filled with files and apps of all kinds. ( Y/N ) shot her head up, squinting her eyes at the computer.
"Organize your desk top, Olivia," ( Y/N ) whispered.
Miles frowned in confusion, looking down at his friend. "Olivia?"
"Oh, yeah. I was saving it for suspense," ( Y/N ) explained in low volume. "You'll find out sooner or late..."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
While Miles and ( Y/N ) were working on the laptop, Olivia threw Peter back to a chair and strapped him down. She put a white tongue depressor into his mouth and got saliva to put under a microscope. The saliva started glitching like Peter did when they met him lady night.
Peter noticed ( Y/N ) crawling out while Miles held the computer. "What are you two doing?"
"We're just taking the whole thing," Miles shook the computer.
Just before Olivia could spit her, she went back under the desk. "And obviously, you've been glitching."
"Glitching? No,"
( Y/N ) peeked out from under the desk, listening to Peter and Olivia's conversation while Miles was trying to single her to follow him. She kept shaking her head since she'd get caught, but just as she sighed in defeat of the argument, a few words coming from Olivia caught her attention.
"And I for one can't wait to watch,"
Peter frowned in confusion. "What did you say your name was?"
"Doctor Olivia Octavious," she removed her glasses and her lab coat, revealing a green suit. Tentacles like an octopus came from her back, one of them putting green and black goggles on her.
"I told you," ( Y/N ) turned to Miles.
One of the tentacles grabbed Peter by the neck and ( Y/N ) took this as a cue to follow Miles out. Peter helped by shooting a web at the door to get it open. To help, ( Y/N ) grabbed the laptop so Miles only had the monitor.
"Oh, you got it, Peter?"
Just as a tentacle was about to get them, Miles and ( Y/N ) slid under it before continuing to run. Miles jumped from the window, seeing Peter thrown into it. "I got it, kids!"
"Everything is fine!" He stated, being thrown to another window.
Before they could get out, ( Y/N ) accidentally bumped into a blonde scientist with short hair and a note book. "Sorry!"
The duo didn't look back, running out of the hall. From behind, the blonde girl's eyes widened at the sight of the familiar pair.
