Your blood boiled with hatred towards that woman, suddenly shown up in your life to give you a chance. A chance that you decided to refuse, so as not to be exactly like her...a murderer.

«Any last wishes?» Nina Williams said in a mocking tone, surely it was fun for her to play with people like this and you no longer had saliva to spit in her face, unfortunately «I promise it will be quick and painless.»

You could close your eyes, but you didn't, you still wanted to see her ice-blue gaze, though the knife touched your throat until you bled a little. In that moment, you hoped for something to avoid the worst...

You didn't hear any noise. Yet, you had the feeling there was another presence besides you and Nina and also seemed to notice it, but too late, as a gun was already pointed at her temple.

«Mpf, why I'm not surprised you were involved in this?» It wasn't clear to you who that woman's voice belonged to, but she seemed to know your attacker very well «Always good to see you, sister

«Same goes for me.» Of course, that was a joke Nina didn't take kindly to the sight of her younger sister Anna «Let me guess...Kazuya sent you here?»

Anna's response was pulling the safety back to load the gun, annoyed at wasting any more time with the person she hated the most. But there, her eyes fell on you, still alive.

«I highly recommend you to walk away from this girl now.» Anna Williams warned the other woman, provoking her; Nina took a step back and as soon as she identified her sister, she rushed towards her.

«And you know how much I hate when someone meddles in my plans, Anna.»

The two sisters started to fight noisily and in front of your eyes, now free from the blonde's clutches; punches, kicks and bullets rang out inside your house, messing up the surrounding furniture and to your surprise, it was Anna who disarmed Nina.

«I have to admit, you have improved a lot my dear sis.» The latter burst out laughing in amusement, even though they were sisters, you noticed the looks of hatred they gave each other. Before the newcomer could reply, Nina broke the glass of the window and threw herself into the void to escape.

«Yes, run away, coward that you are!» Anna grimaced, as she raised her middle finger in the air victoriously «Hey, are you hurt somewhere?»

You nodded without putting too much faith in her words, until the woman came over to check for herself...apart from a few bruises and dried blood on your face, you had nothing serious.

«How did you know I was here?» You asked with a serious expression and keeping some distance from her, since you had already had the opportunity to get to know her in other guises «I mean, Reira never said where she lived–»

«I always knew you were Reira. You could fool a man with a sexy look, but not a woman...not me.» Anna smirked as she put her guns in the sheaths «About that, don't think you can get away with it so easily.»

You thought she was going to kill you, instead she invited you to follow her out; there, you got in a car with her at the wheel to head to G Corp headquarters, unaware of your fate.

«So, what made you not do it?» Anna asked you out of the blue, spying on you in the rearview mirror «Knowing Nina, she'll have offered you some reward. Why then?»

«Money wasn't what I'm interested in.» You answered after being silent for a while, clenching the fist you had on your knee «I felt, I wasn't doing the right thing...and later, I discovered Kazuya wasn't the culprit of my parents' death.»

The brunette listened to your every word with interest, but she thought you had another reason to do it and this made her inexplicably tense.

«I guess it was Jin Kazama who told you, not surprising since he worked with that old man...» Anna adjusted a pair of sunglasses on her face, a family habit apparently and you weren't understanding what she was getting at, especially when she referred to an "old man"; many things were still incomprehensible to you and partly, you hoped to find answers at the Millennium Tower...out of Kazuya Mishima's mouth.

After reaching the top floor of the immense skyscraper minutes later, Anna ordered you to wait in a hall. There, your gaze fell on the wonderful view of the city, admirable through the windows...you thought about the mistake you had made for not answering Ling's calls, letting her know that you were okay...then, you thought about the last meeting with Jin, realizing you had trusted him too soon.

«Nothing was true, after all. Maybe even the kiss...»

«Mr. Mishima is waiting for you, Y/n.» Suddenly, Anna Williams walked out the door behind you, looking with a playful, yet threatening expression «Make sure you play it well, he doesn't forgive twice

You stayed silent and once you crossed the threshold, the door was suddenly closed with a loud bang, as if you had entered the devil's lair; it had been a month since you last saw Kazuya and that made you feel anything but calm.

«I have to be careful.» You warned yourself as you looked around, waiting for someone to come out. Besides you, a long table and many empty chairs were standing there and to kill time, you spun a chair around with one hand, making it squeak a little.

But it was in that moment of distraction that you felt a heavy presence nearby. You didn't move a muscle, nor you turned around to figure out who exactly was, for fear of seeing him.

«...as always, your impudence has no limits.» His voice and breath hit your ears sharply like a blade, causing your blood to boil and your sweat to fall from your forehead «For someone who has played dirty, it's surprising how much fear lies within...who are you now?»

No way, Kazuya Mishima had a furious look on his face when you looked at him. His imposing arms were crossed in front of his chest in a calm manner, but his frown was capable of killing thousands of times.

«Y/n is my real name. Reira was just a cover.» You clarified softly, breaking eye contact and this pissed the man off more.

«Give me a reason why I should let you live.» He said and there, you remembered Anna's words, maybe it was time to say things once and for all, with the hope that he wouldn't kill you anyway.

«For seven long years, I tried to find out who killed my parents...I always thought it was you, through G Corp, that's why I became Reira...to get closer to you and to finally give justice to my family...» As you spoke, you openly confronted the older man, who hadn't stopped listening to your story, noticing the sadness in your doe eyes.

«But it was all a lie made up by that woman to use me...I can't forgive myself for being so blind.»

You looked down, as if you were waiting for a sentence. Instead, he took a step forward, closing your space to the edge of the table, preventing you from escaping again.

«You should have, the whole world wants to take me out...why not you?» When Kazuya said that, you already knew the answer.

«If I had become like my parents' executioner, I wouldn't have forgiven myself.» You said with a serious expression and without saying anything to his extreme closeness; you just wanted to be honest with yourself and with him right now, so as not to fall into misunderstanding...

«Isn't this enough, Mr. Mishima?»

His palms pressed the surface of the table behind you. Sure, his large figure was capable of overwhelm you, but not like he did with an opponent and though his heart was cold, he still remembered that night with Reira, before she betrayed him and disappeared forever.

«Mpf, don't think you can get away with just this.» A devilish grin was what you got from a man like Kazuya, before grabbing your face with one hand; his fingers squeezed your cheeks until they turned red, as your eyes struggled to stay open.

«You owe me a big debt, sweetheart.»

Whatever meant, it was clear he wanted to make you pay for playing dirty with his feelings, confusing his mind for all this time, just to discover that you two were still the same person.

This was the punishment you had to pay for not killing this man like you should have. You felt you had made the wrong choice in sparing his life.

«What you want from me?» You dared to ask ignoring that, with the minimum of his strength, he could crush you like an ant «If this is a way to get revenge, do it quickly.»

Kazuya had planned to go easy on you, but apparently your attitude wasn't making things easier and although his hand was no longer on your face, he was tempted to squeeze your neck...

The same one on which he had left violent kisses.

«I have other plans at the moment.» His two-colored eyes scanned your figure, so different from Reira's charming one «If I remember correctly, we didn't finish last night...»

«You didn't finish with Reira...this has nothing to do with me.» You clarified trying to regain distance with him, but Kazuya grabbed your forearm carelessly.

«No, don't you dare touch me!»

Without thinking about it, you threw a punch with your free hand. But the result was in vain, as he dodged and pushed you in the opposite direction, causing you to hit the wall painfully.

«You didn't realize the situation you're in.» The older man whispered harshly behind your ear, as held your arm bent backwards «Let me explain how things are...if you try to escape, I'll kill all your friends without any mercy. Including Jin Kazama.»

There, your eyes widened and turned to look at him with a shocked expression, you didn't expect him to know about the relationship between the two of you.

«Y-you can't hurt him, he's your son...» Your shaky, worried voice irritated Kazuya, who tightened his grip to not hear you say the name of his hateful son.

«A family bond is worth nothing to me.» The black-haired man stated in a cold tone, pressing his chest against your back to intimidate you even more «But if you really care about him, you'd better do as I say.»

You wanted to send him to hell, you had no intention of doing anything for him, but unfortunately, you were in no position to bargain and just lowered your head in surrender.

«I'll do what you want.» You said finally with your sore arm and as a result, Kazuya made a satisfied smirk «But don't hurt anyone, please.»

He let go of you for a moment, just to change position, so that you could now have your back pinned to the concrete wall.

«You're smarter than I thought, no coincidence that woman chose you to kill me...»

You didn't reply, but you stared at Kazuya for a long time, as if you didn't want to miss any of his moves; your high guard amused him and that's why he put his hand in your hair, to provoke you.

«You started this farce first. It's time to take the consequence of your actions.» Without another word, Kazuya leaned forward to capture something from your face, but as soon as you noticed, you placed a hand between your lips.

«I won't let you play with me as you like, Kazuya.» You pushed his hand away from your face when said that, you weren't going to let him redeem you like that and he grimaced at your hostile attitude.

«We'll see Y/n.» The Devil's Controller replied in a baritone voice and with his bright, red eye when he pronounced your name «I always get what I want. Don't hope for a brat to win against me.»

It was clear this was some sort of revenge for pretending to be someone else, but you still didn't understand why he wanted to kiss you...and you didn't ask anyway and Kazuya just walked away, heading to the back of the office where he presided behind his desk.

«From today on, you will work for me as my personal secretary.» He intertwined his fingers under the chin and you listened with bated breath, until it stopped completely «All you have to do is follow orders and no one gets hurt. This is the deal.»

«T-this is ridiculous, you know I'm a waitress!» You complained at that crazy request, you couldn't believe this was really happening and what's more, with who you thought was your enemy for seven years.

«You are unemployed and have no money to maintain your home, I don't think you can get very far like this.» Again, Kazuya showed you how useless your life had become to depend on him now «Like this, you won't need to worry about the blonde woman, or any other Mishima Zaibatsu henchmen. You have my word.»

The more he talked, the more you got the impression that Kazuya wanted to protect you and this was even more frustrating for your mind; eventually, you agreed to all the conditions and just then, Anna appeared to give you instructions, as well as congratulating you on the wise decision you had made...

But deep down, you felt that you would regret it very soon.
