You didn't know why, but you became unexpectedly energetic during your training. The plan was working properly and because of that, you had to be careful not to make any silly mistakes...

«T-take it easy Y/n!» However, you were so focused on it that you didn't pay attention to what you were doing and almost punched Ling in the face «You are distracted lately, is there something wrong?»

«...I'm fine.» You seized the moment to catch your breath, as well as to distract from the thoughts that afflicted you «And I didn't mean to hurt ya, don't worry.»

Ling Xiaoyu snorted with her chin lifted and you laughed in amusement at that face. Who knows, if you had told her about your situation...

«Ling, can I ask you–?»

«Hey girls!» Suddenly, a male voice echoed inside the gym and both of you turned to see the red-haired boy, greeting with an enthusiastic smile «Are you training? Eeeh why you didn't call me!»

«Because it's a girly thing! No brats in the middle thanks~» The chinese girl waved at him carelessly, but soon Hwoarang's attention fell on your figure. You gave him a nod before approaching.

«Thanks for fixing my bud, I didn't mean to lose it now.» You were referring to your motorcycle and crossed your arms behind the back, thus exposing your perfectly toned and shiny stomach. Hwoarang wasn't listening and just stood there, looking at you with fascination.

«Y-ya know Y/n, I'll always be there for you.» The korean guy scratched his head and you just smiled at that, obviously you didn't want to abuse your friend's kindness...but the truth was, Hwoarang would do anything to please you because of the feelings he had for you.

«Soooo how about we go get something to eat? I'm starving!» Ling got in the way and you took the opportunity to go back to the locker room and put a shirt on; you wore your sports clothes and kept the headband on for comfort, as it was just the three of you...

Until you noticed another bike parked next to yours. You had never seen it before and was definitely bigger and more beautiful than yours.

«Oh my god...I can't believe it!» There, the brunette girl's voice exclaimed and when you turned around, you saw her running in the direction of a fourth person, most likely the owner of the motorcycle «W-what are you doing here? When did you return to Tokyo?!»

Again, that spiky, black hair.

«...I came back yesterday. You are in great shape, Ling.» Because of that serious look, you didn't expect such a kind tone. After that, the young man looked up at Hwoarang and finally you.

«Who is her?» He asked in a deeper tone now, ignoring the other and staring just at you, wondering how you knew his friends.

«Oh, you still don't know each other. She's Y/n, my best, hard working friend and nothing less, an excellent fighter!»

You sighed at all those exaggerated names, even if it was the truth. The newcomer chuckled and did the same on his own.

«I'm Jin Kazama

Of course, his name meant nothing to you but some doubts arose in your mind...what if he was the same guy you had seen that evening and why he looked a lot like Kazuya??

Hwoarang snorted and Ling offered to continue talking sitting comfortably in front of a table, which none of you refused. Later, as soon as you were inside a fast food, you happened to sit right in front of him and both of you took the opportunity to spy each other.

Definitely, there were questions to be answered and from both sides.

«So, you know how to fight...it doesn't seem like it, where did you learn?» Luckily, his first question was about your martial skills, but his last comment bored you a little.

«My father taught me when I was a child. But I gave up that practice after leaving for Tokyo, seven years ago.» You started talking to him and to your surprise, Jin listened intently with elbows resting on the table and his hazel eyes fixed on you...

No way, they were very beautiful.

«Why did you leave your family?»

You asked next, ignoring your inappropriate thought. Hwoarang and Ling were too busy arguing over the choice of the burgers to hear your conversation and you couldn't understand why this man was so curious about you now.

Did you really have to tell your story to a stranger? Still, you felt the need to open up after a long time.

«...my parents died in a violent accident. I don't have a family anymore.» You said those words in the midst of the chaos, yet your voice was clear enough for Jin to understand and was silent for a while.

Until his words raised your guard.

«And you came here to take revenge, that's why you're training now...» Seriously, you didn't expect those words from him and just widened your eyes in confusion «...but you really think this is enough

You clenched your fists, sure you knew it wasn't enough, that's why you were doing what you were doing now, passing yourself off as someone you weren't; but you couldn't say that and just looked away from him, so as not to let him pity you.

No one had idea what you were going through.

«What about you? What made you return to Tokyo all of sudden...» You asked later, finally eating a chip from your plate. There, the black-haired boy crossed his arms after noticing your change of expression, you weren't as unreasonable as he thought.

«Same reason.» Jin explained with a firm expression, the fact that he was so similar to you aroused your interest more...you locked eyes with him, hoping he would continue, but Ling Xiaoyu interrupted that moment by slamming a newspaper in the center of the table.

«Look here, who would have thought!» Her screams were heard throughout the room and you all leaned over to read the news on the front page, where there was also a picture...

A picture of you and Kazuya. Well of Reira, to be more precise, either way you were speechless.

«I saw this woman last night.» Jin broke the silence of the group and Hwoarang raised his eyebrows in amazement.

«Wait a sec, are you saying this chick is that Devil's lover? She's too pretty for him!» The red-haired boy insinuated with a mischievous smile and you gave him a glare that also Kazama couldn't ignore.

«Tsk! Don't be ridiculous, haven't you seen how young she is? She could be the same age as us!» Ling said in "your" defense, but didn't stop looking at the couple in the newspaper «You've seen her up close, right? How she was?»

At that question, Jin remembered the moment in which he had seen his father holding that young woman close to him and despite her angelic face, he could tell her eyes were plotting something...

Something like your eyes were doing in front of him.

«An interesting woman, if it weren't for that fake smile.» Your friends paid no attention to it, but without any doubt, you saw him staring at you when he said that.

«Is him a detective or what?!» This man had sensed something and at that point, you just realized that you had to stay away from him, or he would have put a spoke in your wheels.

You finished lunch later and when returned at the gym parking lot to retrieve the bike, you realized with such annoyance that you had forgotten the bag inside.

«I hope it's still there.» You thought someone else might have stolen it, but no one had touched it when you found it on the bench and relieved of that, you went back to your bike which, apparently, was in the company of the other one.

Strange, Jin Kazama had left before you, but you didn't understand why the hell his motorcycle was still parked there. You wanted to kick it just like you kicked the other asshole's car...

«...what are you doing there?» Suddenly, a male voice appeared in that deserted place «Want to take a ride with that? Go ahead.»

There, Jin Kazama showed up to you, hands in pockets and proud posture. He was very tall, compared to you.

«Thanks but I already have mine.» You huffed as you prepared to climb into the seat and inexplicably, you were having trouble putting on your helmet; you didn't want to ask him for help, but when the other boy saw you struggling, he had come over to remove the knot with his own hands.

«Why does he want to help me now?» You kept watching him from the other side of the helmet, but for the moment, he didn't seem to make you suspect anything...

Until he approached you, trapping you between him and your bike.

«If you think that will work, you're sorely mistaken.» He said suddenly in a warning tone, forcing you to stare at his face inches away «Kazuya is an insensible and dangerous man...you can do nothing against him.»

Maybe, he understood that you were Reira Lilai, but he wasn't sure and you just stood there, feigning an amused expression to confuse him.

«Heh! You don't even know who the hell I am and think you know everything? You're so wrong.» You pushed the young man away with a hand on his shoulder, but without being more abrupt than your words «I'm not looking for revenge, but starting a new life without being able to forget who killed my parents...tell me what idiot would do nothing

Your eyes were filled with madness and rage, you wanted to hit this asshole, but Jin anticipated you by throwing your helmet on the ground.

«You're exactly like me. I can feel the blood boiling with hate...and despair.» His mouth, his almost yellow eyes, every part of his face was close to you again and with every breath he took, your heartbeat didn't stop accelerating «But, if you value your life, stay away from Kazuya Mishima.»

Jin did nothing but move away from you, making you catch your breath. You were in no condition to react.

«...who the hell are you?»

His black hair moved with the wind, showing off his powerful aura, but not as menacing as it might seem. What you meant was, that he looked and not like Kazuya at the same time, but you didn't know if there was a connection between the two men...

«Who I am, it's up to you Y/n.» That was his answer, before mounting his big bike and quickly getting out of there. Just then, Ling and Hwoarang arrived at the place.

«W-why you run away, you idiot!» The chinese one pouted, punching you on the arm which almost made you lose your balance on the bike «And where is Jin going–»

«Eeeh let it go, he's not a kid!» There, the korean boy grabbed the shorter girl to stop her from kicking and punching you «By the way, what were you doing alone with him, Y/n?»

The mood suddenly changed and you raised your eyebrows at that weird insinuation, thinking it was a joke; but Hwoarang had seen your helmet on the ground, together with your disheveled hair.

«D-don't tell me he tried to kiss you?!» The Taekwondo guy had clearly misunderstood the situation and you were about to burst out laughing.

«W-what bullshit are you talking man, none of that happened!» You corrected him and luckily, that was enough to calm him down «Anyway, your friend has something wrong, he doesn't strike me as a very friendly guy...»

«That's because he's a loner, but I assure you he's kind and considerate, at least with good people.» Of course, Ling Xiaoyu knew him well to be able to say these things, but you weren't so convinced, it was clear that Jin Kazama had some business to settle and probably with your own man...

«Great, now I also have to compete with someone else.» You sighed deeply, from now on things weren't going to be easy for you; as you were thinking about that, Ling ventured an amusing guess.

«...don't tell me you're interested–»

«Please don't finish the sentence.» You warned as you retrieved your helmet and put it on your head, leaving your best friend laughing and the other guy confused. When you got home, twenty minutes later, you started thinking about this mysterious guy too...

«Why I'm thinking him now? I'm an idiot.»

You grumbled to yourself as you got ready to shower...maybe Ling was right, you found Jin Kazama interesting and even if it was a bad idea, you were hoping to cross his path again.
