๐—œ๐—ง ๐—›๐—”๐—— ๐—•๐—˜๐—˜๐—ก ๐—” ๐—™๐—˜๐—ช days since the group left to The Kingdom. Ivy didn't know how to feel about letting Carl leave her again, but, she knew it was for a good reason. Ivy had stayed behind at Hilltop with Maggie and Enid, but Sasha and Jesus had come back sooner than later.

Over the past couple days, Enid, Maggie, and Ivy had been training Hilltop, getting them ready to fight Negan.

It was midday, and Maggie, Enid, and Ivy just finished knife training. The girls had made their way to the infirmary, due to Maggie having her ultrasound appointment.

Ivy hadn't seen the baby yet. She didn't come to Maggie's appointments, unlike Enid. Ivy didn't know if she was ready yet.

Ivy watched as the ultrasound machine picked up on the baby. Maggie and Glenn's baby. Ivy's little sibling, and her god child.

Enid looked over at Maggie with a wide smile, the two girls and Dr. Carson smiling together.

But, Ivy wasn't.

She was staring at the ultrasound. The small child on the screen locking her in a trance. Maggie and Enid looked over at the girl with a worried look. Her expression was blank. An indescribable look falling over her face.

"Ivy?" Maggie asked. Ivy just dipped her head down and ran her hand over her face. Enid placed her hand on the girls back, trying to remind her that they were there.

Maggie and Enids eyes softened when they heard the soft sobs coming from Ivy. That was the first time Ivy had cried since Glenn and Abrahams deaths.

Ivy looked up, tears staining her face. At this point, Dr. Carson had left the room, trying to give them privacy.

Ivy's sobs quickly picked up, and she started violently crying. She fell into Enids arms, tears staining Enids shirt.

Enid looked over at Maggie with tears in her eyes. Maggie had already started crying.

Ivy looked up at the girls as her sobs slowed. "Iโ€” Iโ€” I..." Ivy trailed off, her tears choking her up. "I wโ€” was trying to be strong..." Ivy closed her eyes. "I can't be."

"You don't have to be." Maggie whispered as she grabbed the girls hand. "We don't expect you to be."

Enid nodded in agreement, her hand resting on Ivy's arm. "It's okay to break sometimes, babe." Enid assured her. Ivy's bottom lip quivered as she listened to the girls words. "We love you."

"I just see this baby, and Maggie, andโ€” and I wonder..." Ivy sighed. "I wonder if i'm gonna fail this baby and Maggie like I failed Glenn."

Maggie sat up quickly and grabbed the girl. Maggie pulled Ivy beside her and hugged her tight. "You did not fail Glenn. You never did anything wrong. Nothing." Maggie explained. Ivy nodded as she cried. Enid rubbed Ivy's back. "You are Glenn and I's daughter. He would've done anything for you, and he loved you. That's all you need to know."

Ivy wiped her tears as Maggie kissed her forehead. "I love you, Maggie." Ivy looked over at Enid. "I love you, E."

Enid ruffled Ivy's hair and smiled. "We love you so much, V."

โ๐—œ, ๐—จ๐—›โ€”" Ivy trailed off as she stood in front of Jesus. It had been a day since Ivy finally cried. She felt free. She felt like a human again. It felt great to not keep her emotions bottled up. The first thing Ivy wanted to do was start being more open with people. "I know I probably shouldn't have been listening... and it's wrong, butโ€” Are you, um..."

Jesus furrowed his eyebrows. "Are you..." Ivy trailed off as she bit her lip anxiously. "Do you like men?" Ivy felt horrible asking, but, she had her reasons.

Jesus laughed slightly, and nodded. "Yeah, I do." Ivy smiled and nodded. "Why do you ask? You heard me talking with Maggie earlier?"

"Yes." Ivy answered. Jesus smiled. "I just asked because... I wanna be more open with people. And, I think this is a good start."

"Okay." Jesus said, crossing his arms. "So, what's up?"

Ivy sucked her teeth and chuckled. "Well, I don't think I can talk to anyone about thisโ€” well, except maybe Tara." Ivy stated shrugging slightly. "But, I think i'm... something. I like menโ€” well, I love a man. Carls my soulmate, but, I think I could possibly like women as well. Thats possible, right?"

"Oh, yeah. It totally is!" Jesus beamed, a huge smile spreading across his face. Ivy sighed, feeling happy that she wasn't crazy. "What made you think that you could possibly like woman?"

"Well," Ivy laughed as she thought about when they got to Alexandria. "When I got to Alexandria, I totally thought I liked Enid. And, I think I did, but I knew Carl was the one. So, I didn't do anything with it."

Jesus chuckled. "Oh, yeah. Definitely a homoโ€”" Jesus was cut off by the sound of clanging. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked to the gate.

"The Saviors are coming!" Kal yelled from the guard post. Enid ran towards the general vicinity that Jesus, Daryl, and Ivy were in.

"We have to get Maggie." Enid breathed out. Ivy turned towards the Daryl and Enid.

"Where is she?" Ivy asked as she inched closer. Enid signaled Daryl and Ivy to follow her.

"Come on!" Enid instructed. Ivy and Daryl followed the girl, all three of them running through Hilltop.

The three retrieved Maggie, and they all ran towards the tunnel. They were stuck in the middle of Hilltop, the sounds of the Saviors vehicles approaching quickly.

"We'll never make it in time." Maggie spoke, slowing down. Enid didn't let that stop her. She began running quickly, making the three following her.

"Come on!" Enid yelled. The trucks entered Hilltop, barely missing the group. Enid led them to a cellar, opening the doors and ushering them in.

"Just stay down there." Enid ordered. "I'll keep them away." Enid began closing one door as they walked down the stairs. "They aren't the same ones who came to Alexandria." Ivy looked up at Enid, stopping her from closing the door.

"What are you doing?" Enid asked quietly. Ivy sighed. "What?"

Ivy's face softened. "Please, please, please, be safe." Ivy told her. Enid nodded and closed the cellar door.

Daryl kept the door opened slightly as Maggie and Ivy hid behind a shelf full of fruit. He looked out the door, keeping watch.

"Daryl." Maggie whispered. Maggie grabbed Ivy's hand and kept her close. Daryl closed the door, but stayed in his position. "Daryl. Daryl."

Daryl looked back at the two girls and he moved next to them quickly. Daryl grabbed Ivy's free hand, also holding her close.

They stayed hidden for a good while. The only thing they could hear was their breathing and Enids nervous footsteps outside.

Maggie and Daryl had spoken something to each other, but Ivy quickly shushed them when she picked up another set of footprints outside the cellar.

"Those footsteps are way heavier than Enids." Ivy whispered. Daryl and Maggie looked at the girl with confused looks. Ivy raised her eyebrows and pointed to the cellar door. "The grass sounds... different."

"Hi!" Enids energetic voice was heard from above the cellar. "Uh, I've got fresh veggiesโ€”" The man stopped Enid

"Stop. They're vegetables." The man corrected her. "Use the whole word." Ivy's face dropped. She knew what Enid was doing. Enid was acting like a child because that's what the other Savior liked... she was practically putting herself in extreme danger to protect her family. "We have time."

"Uh..." Enid trailed off. "Okay. I have these vegetables they told me to bring over, uh, and the basket's pretty heavy." Enid let out a forceful laugh. "For me, I mean. Probably not you. Uh, here." Enid placed the basket into the man's arms.

"Load them in the truck, and, uh, if you meet me by the garden, I can get the restโ€”" Enid quickly spoke.

"Stop." The man cut her off. "I don't know who you think I am or who we are. Load them yourself. I'm busy." The man dropped the basket, sending all the vegetables spilling onto the ground. Enid quickly dropped down besides the food on the ground and picked it up.

Enid scrambled to pick up the mess. "Oh. Sorry. I'm sorry." Enid apologized profusely. The man bent down slightly.

The man scoffed. "Girl, pick that shit up right now and scram." Ivy clenched her fist in anger. He crouched down besides Enid. "And I'll take that." The man said, referring to the knife on Enids waist. "Don't make me cut it off you, girl." Enid quickly took off the knife, stood up, and gave it to him.

The man gave Enid one last look before walking to the cellar doors. He unlocked it and opened it. The door creaked open and the adults made sure to keep Ivy as hidden as possible. The man walked down and into the basement. Ivy felt Daryl's hand slip from hers, and he raised his knife.

The man inspected the vegetables, picking them up, and smelling them. The man began moving towards where the group was, even though he didn't know they were there.

Ivy and Maggie's eyes drifted to the mans waist, their gaze looking over the knife on his belt. The two girls saw red as they looked at the man. Ivy looked over at Daryl for a moment, luckily noticing that Daryl was about to pounce.

Ivy grabbed onto Daryl's arm, stopping him successfully. Ivy shook her head as the man walked out. The three tense bodies loosened as the cellar door closed.

They all walked out from their spot and the two girls looked at Daryl. Maggie sighed. "You were gonna kill that guy." Maggie spoke. Daryl turned around, but kept his head down.

"He was gonna find us." Daryl stated.

Ivy shook her head no. "He wasn't, and he didn't." Ivy explained. "It may have seemed like it, butโ€”"

"He deserved to die." Daryl cut her off. Ivy nodded and stepped back slightly.

"Ever since you got here, you haven't said a word to me. And, the only things you have said to Ivy was apologies." Maggie noted. Daryl kept his head low, and Ivy's eyes softened extremely. "Would you look at me? Please?" Daryl hesitantly looked up at the girls, sniffing. His eyes were filled with tears.

Maggie stepped forward. "Daryl..." Maggie sighed.

"I'm sorry." Daryl apologized, his voice breaking. "I'm sorry." Tears filled Ivy's eyes as she watched the interaction.

Maggie frowned. "It wasn't your fault." Maggie whispered. Daryl nodded as his cries picked up.

"It was." The man cried. Ivy wiped away a tear that had fallen.

"No." Maggie said. "It wasn't. You're one of the good things in this world. That's what Glenn thought. And he would know, 'cause he was one of the good things, too." Maggie laughed slightly, trying to mask her tears. "And, uh... I wanted to kill that guy, too."

Ivy sniffled. "Me, too." Ivy spoke. "I wanna kill them all. I wanna kill Negan for what he did to Abraham and Glenn..." Tears streamed down the girls face. "They died for nothing. No reason. All for Negans amusement." Ivy looked to Daryl.

"So, you did nothing, Daryl." Ivy assured the man. Maggie nodded in agreement. "And, no one will ever blame you. But, we have to win."

Daryl sniffled. "Glenn woulda been so proud of you." Daryl muttered. Ivy nodded slowly.

"I like to think that." Ivy's voice broke as she spoke. Maggie placed her hand onto Ivy's shoulder.

"He is." Maggie told Ivy. "He's watching over us. All of us. Taking care of us and this baby." Daryl and Ivy nodded. Maggie pulled them into a group, not giving the option to opt out.

"He's with all of us."
