๐๐ง ๐ช๐๐ฆ ๐ช๐๐๐ฅ๐. He was here one day and now he wasn't. Noahs gone. Ivy wasn't necessarily close to him, but he was close to Beth. He was also such a sweet boy. Ivy was also the only person Noah trusted with outfit opinions. Ivy had very good taste in fashionโ even in an apocalypse
Ivy found herself back outside of the walls, even though two people just died.
She sat against the same fallen tree that she sat against the last time. But this time, Ivy held the note Beth wrote to her.
Ivy's tears splattered onto the paper. She was ready. She was finally ready.
"Ivy?" Ivy snapped her head to the left and didn't see anyone. "Wrong way." Ivy looked to her right and saw Enid standing not to far away. Ivy wiped her tears and sat back.
"What do you want, Enid?" Ivy ducked her head down so Enid couldn't see the tears.
"I already saw you crying. There's no need to hide it now." Enid walked closer and sat next to Ivy. "I'm sorry about Noah."
"Why are you here?" Ivy asked. Enid sighed as she looked around them.
"We're supposed to be out here. We're supposed to feel like this." Enid started. Ivy looked at her with a hurt look. Ivy's stare was filled with many different emotions.
"Are you kidding me? No one is supposed to feel like this." Ivy spat. "No one should have to lose there friends."
"We've all lost something. That's just the way life is." Enid stated.
"I've lost everything." Ivy sniffled. "And I was starting to get my mind off it but Noah made me remember. I just want to be a kid again."
"You see this?" Ivy asked as she slammed the letter down on the ground. "That's from my sister, Beth. My dead sister. I've been trying so hard to forget about everything, I haven't even had time to read the letter she wrote me."
Enid picked up the letter. "Do you, um, want me to read it to you?" Ivy looked up at Enid with softened eyes.
"I can't ask you to do that." Ivy shook her head. Enid opened the letter and saw it was stained with tears.
"It's honestly the least I could do." Enid smiled. "I was kind of a bitch to you. This is nothing."
"Ok." Ivy nodded hesitantly. Ivy took a deep breathe and looked at Enid. "I'm ready."
"Dear V, I honestly don't know what to write or even how to write it. I wrote you this letter just in case something happened to me. And obviously if you're reading it, something happened." Enid read. Enid could tell Ivy was having a hard time, and she placed her hand on top of Ivy's. "I need you to take care of Maggie for me. I need you to especially take care of herself."
"I'll be watching from above when you and Carl get married and have kids." Enid laughed slightly at that. "This is short because I don't know what to say....." Enid trialed off and stopped reading.
"What'd you stop?" Ivy asked. Her voice was shaky and breaking. "Enid, why'd you stop?"
"I think we should stop for nowโ" Ivy ripped the note from Enids hand.
Ivy read the last line. 'I need you to protect Noah. I believe in you. He deserves a life just as much as you do. Love you little sis.'
'Love, Beth.'
Ivy began sobbing. Enid quickly took Ivy into a hug and comforted her. Enid was very clear on girls support girls. She would never leave another girl hanging if they were sad.
"I failed her. She wanted one thing frโ from me." Ivy cried. Enid rubbed Ivy's back and shushed her.
"No you didn't. She would be so proud of you right now. You are so strong, Ivy. So strong. She loved you more than anything. You definitely didn't fail her." Enid assured Ivy. Ivy removed herself from the hug and looked Enid in the eye.
"I was so mean to you. Why are you being nice?" Ivy asked through tears.
"Because I know how it feels to lose someone. I also know how it feels to think you failed someone. But I promise you, you didn't fail Beth or Noah." Enid comforted. "Everyone is soโ oh shit!"
Ivy turned and saw a walker not far from them. The walker luckily hadn't taken notice of the two girls yet, but it would've soon.
Enid and Ivy jumped up. Ivy made sure to shove the note in her pocket. Enid grabbed a timer that you would use for your kitchen and threw it to the left. Enid dragged Ivy through the woods and into a hollowed out tree.
The two girls made their way into the tree. Their faces were just inches apart, and Enid was obviously nervous. Ivy took notice of that and smirked.
"Do I scare you, Enid?" Ivy whispered in her ear. Enid blushed slightly and faced Ivy. Ivy brushed her fingers over Enids.
"I'll take that as a yes."
๐ช๐๐๐ก ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ฌ came back to Alexandria, the first thing they saw was people running through town. Enid and Ivy ran to go see what was going on.
When they found everyone, they saw Rick and Ron's dad, Pete on the ground fighting.
"Oh shit." Ivy breathed out. The first thing Ivy saw was Jessie crying. Out of pity, Ivy ran to Jessie's side. Ivy grabbed onto Jessie's arm and made her look away.
"Jessie, don't look." Ivy insisted. Jessie's teary eyes drifted to Ivy. "Jessie, look at me. Keep your eyes on me. Just keep looking at me. Come on, we're gonna go somewhere else."
Ivy didn't notice Pete starting to choke Rick out, but Jessie did. Ivy tried to stop Jessie from running to the men, but she couldn't.
Jessie tried to rip Pete off of Rick, which resulted in Pete hitting Jessie. Ivy saw red. But her main priority was getting Jessie off the ground. Ivy made sure Jessie was alright before turning her attention to Carl who was running to stop his dad from killing Pete.
"Carl!" Ivy yelled.
"Dad, get off!" Carl tried to pry his father off of Pete. Rick pushed Carl back. Carl sighed in defeat as he walked towards Jessie and Ivy.
"We need to get her out of her! I'm taking her to the infirmary! Come on!" Ivy grabbed Carls hand as she rushed Jessie to the infirmary.
Ivy didn't even have time to notice the sleeping Tara in one of the beds.
"I'm ok, I promise." Jessie said lowly. Ivy sat Jessie down and Carl grabbed some things to clean her cuts with.
"No, you are not. You hit your head, Jessie." Ivy panicked. "Carl, get me a flashlight." Carl retrieved a flashlight and handed it to Ivy.
"You don't even know what you're doing." Jessie protested. Ivy flashed Jessie in the eye with the flashlight.
"I know enough common sense. Are the lights bothering you?" Ivy asked. She watched to make sure Jessie's pupils didn't shrink.
"No, they aren't. They are just really annoying." Jessie answered.
"Ok, good. Carl, I need a wet cloth and a bandage. She might need stitches but I can't do that. I just need to stop the bleeding for now." Ivy ordered. Carl obeyed and got everything Ivy need.
"Try not to close your eyes, because I don't know if you're free of a concussion so I can't have you falling asleep on me." Ivy placed the cloth on Jessie's wound.
"Tell your friends and family that nurse Ivy is back." Ivy joked. Jessie laughed slightly. "I can't believe I was just...." Ivy trailed off. She was going to tell Carl and Jessie about how she was outside the walls, but she didn't want them to know.
It was going to be her and Enids secret for as long as can be.
โ๐๐ฐ๐๐, don't you dare walk away from me!" Ivy yelled as the two walked into the kitchen. "You need to realize because of what you did we could all get kicked out!"
Rick turned around. "Jessie was getting abused! I couldn't sit around a do nothing!" Rick yelled back.
"Yeah, because waving a gun around in front innocent people is the way to go about things! And fighting in the middle of town, what the hell is wrong with you!" Ivy was practically screaming at this point. She was furious with Rick.
"They we're doing nothing about Jessie and Pete! They knew! They all knew!" Rick yelled back. "You are a child and I'm not gonna explain myself to a child!"
"Fuck you, Rick! I'm not a child! I'm young but I've seen and done to much to be considered a child!" Ivy stopped yelling for a moment. "I need to know one thing, and I need you to be honest with me..."
"What?" Rick crossed his arms.
"Would you do that for anyone? And Rick, I swear to god if you lie to meโ"
"No." Rick answered. Ivy scoffed.
"You let your feelings get in the way. You did the right thing. But if you would only do it for Jessie, that isn't fair." Ivy sighed. She walked towards the door and put her hand on the knob.
"Your telling me you wouldn't do that for Carl?" Rick inquired. Ivy whipped her head towards Rick as she began to open the door.
"I'd do it for all of you. That's the difference between you and me."
