ย  ย ย  ๐—ง๐—›๐—˜ ๐—ก๐—˜๐—ซ๐—ง week was odd. Carl was so mean, but Ivy wanted to know more. She wanted to know why someone could hate her so much without even speaking to her? All she knew was that Carl was weird, and very confusing.

Ivy wouldn't call herself a stalker, just a observer. Whenever he was with the group, or Patrick, he was sweet. Ivy wondered what it was like to get that side of him. She wondered if he was just always rude of the bat, but she tried not to think about it.

Ivy saw the way he was with Michonne, or Judith. The way he smiled every time when Michonne would come back with a new comic book. Or the way he smiled when Judith would babble absolute gibberish.

It didn't go unnoticed that Carl was beautiful. If Ivy could change Carls personality she would. He was a total dick. She almost hated him.

Ivy watched as Carl walked by her and Beth's cell. Beth was still sleeping and Ivy hadn't slept.

Carl always woke up a little earlier than everyone else. He helped around the prison before everyone woke up, he found it easier.

Ivy had been reading all night. Michonne found a romance trilogy for Ivy, since Ivy loved romance books so much.

Ivy had been wondering what Carl had liked. She knew he liked comics but she wanted to know more about him. What was his favorite color? What was favorite movie before the apocalypse? Favorite song?

She had so many questions that she'd never get the answers too.

Little did she knew Carl thought the same thing.

He wanted to hate her. Carl was scared to get close to a girl his age. He was scared he would catch feelings and would lose them. He didn't want anyone to end up like his mother.

He knew he couldn't let his guard down, because even if Ivy was good, she could possibly end up like Lori.

Ivy put down her book and shook her head of any thoughts about Carl.

Carl walked outside the prison and shook his head of any thoughts about Ivy.

Ivy got up from the bed and closed the curtain. She striped her clothes, not really caring if Beth woke up. Beth and Ivy had to change in front of each other either way, so it didn't matter.

As Ivy put on a new set of bra and underwear she heard Beth shift.

"Well good morning to you too." Beth joked in a raspy morning voice. Beth was gorgeous. Not even just on the outside, but on the inside. She was a beautiful person all around.

"Morning."

"Sooo." Beth said as she sat up.

Ivy straightened the clothes she put on. It was a shirt that was a blue half button tee, a pair of baggy jeans and a pair of black timberland boots she had found at a run down shoe store.

"So what?" Ivy asked as she grew suspicious of the Beth's high pitch tone. Ivy pulled her hair back into a lose low bun, pulling out a few strands along with it.

"I think you need to talk to Carl." Beth spoke with a sweet tone. Ivy shot a disgusted look at the blonde girl. "What! If you guys got to know each other you'd totally like each other."

"He fucking hates my guts. And I hate his."

Beth got out the bed and started getting ready as well. Beth finished getting her clothes on and sat on Ivys part of the bunk bed.

"Yeah but like- oh my god! Imagine like the enemies to lovers thing you could have going! It be so cute!" Beth squealed in excitement. It felt good to feel like a teenage girl again. Ivy picked up the perfume that she had recently found and sprayed it on herself.

"Beth, you're being delusional we'll never get together!" Ivy laughed. Ivy pushed the perfume towards Beth. "Want some?" Beth grabbed the perfume from Ivy and sprayed some on.

"Carl's 14... your 14.... He's pretty handsome... You're gorgeous... You guys would be perfect!" Beth clapped a couple times, applauding herself. Ivy plopped next to Beth and put her head on Beth's shoulder.

"He seems so nice towards everyone else. But the second he's with me, he's the rudest person to every one! And everyone's so sick of it and I just feel like it's my fault." Ivy ranted. Beth put her arm around the girl. "Like I heard he wasn't mean to everyone until I showed up."

"He'll warm up to you-" Beth was cut off by a knock on the wall. "Come in!" Patrick peaked his head into the curtain before walking in.

"Hey Pat!" Ivy beamed as she stood up. Patrick waved at the two of them shyly.

"Come out for breakfast." Patrick told the girls. The two girls followed Patrick outside as everyone else started to gather.

Ivy heard a lot old Daryl's name. The men and ladies- especially the ladies- had taken a liking to Daryl. Ivy suddenly heard a lot of her name from a group of boys.

Ivy nodded her head at the group before walking towards Daryl and Carol. Patrick had started to work on something else and Beth went to mingle.

"Hey sweetie." Carol greeted causing Daryl to turn around.

"Hey kid." Daryl nodded his head which Ivy did as well in return.

"Morning guys." Ivy went and looked at what Carol was cooking. Ivy looked at Carol with a 'please let me have a piece' kind of look and Carol sweetly nodded. Ivy took a piece and moaned at the taste.

"God Carol, this is so good." Ivy raved. Carol and Daryl laughed a bit.

"If you just give me a second- we can chat after, I just need to talk to Daryl real quick." Carol explained. Ivy spoke a quick ok. "Patrick, do you mind taking over?" Patrick agreed and came towards them, before stopping Daryl.

"Mr. Dixon." Patrick called. Daryl looked at Patrick. "I just wanted to thank you for bringing that deer back yesterday. It was a real treat sir."

Any normal person would get a serious ego boost from that, but not Daryl. Well he didn't admit to the ego boost.

"I'd be honored to shake your hand." Patrick said, sticking out his hand. Ivy giggled at Patricks shyness. Patrick was such a pure soul. Daryl lifted is hand up and licked all of his fingers before taking Patricks hand. As the Carol and Daryl walked away, Patrick looked at Ivy with a proud expression before getting back to serving the food.

"God Patrick you are one lucky man." Ivy sighed. "You have Daryl fucking Dixons DNA all over your fingers!" Patrick laughed with the girl.

"He's really hot." Patrick admitted quietly.

"Hell yeah he is. You see the way his arms look in that shirt." Ivy and Patrick basically drooled at the sight of the man. Patrick went and served everyone before settling back at one of the empty tables.

Ivy and Patrick started eating their food like there was no tomorrow. Which could be a possibility. Ivy studied the boys features. She loved his glasses and always wanted to try them on. "Let me try your glasses on. Let me see if you're really blind." Patrick placed his glasses on Ivy's facing.

"Holy shit! You actually see out of these things?" Ivy immediately took them off due to the fact she couldn't see shit. Patrick put them back on and laughed at the girl.

Little did Ivy know, Carl grimes had been watching there whole interaction. Carl felt some form of jealousy. He couldn't tell if it was that she was making Patrick laugh more then Carl does- or that he wanted to be Patrick.

The way she laughed was breathtaking. She looked beautiful doing anything, and Carl hated it.

"Carl is staring. He looks angry." Patrick noticed.

"He's gonna come yell at me and tell me to stay away from his friend." Ivy joked, but it wasn't really a joke. "He's gonna be like, "stay the hell away from my friends and family! blah blah blah! i'm carl grimes! blah blah! i think i'm so cool because my daddy is Rick Grimes!" Or some shit like that."

"I don't sound like that." Carl spoke as he sat in front of the two. Ivy gave the dirtiest look that she had ever given someone.

"The hell? Why are you here? Do you hear your name and you suddenly come riding along your evil broomstick?" Ivy spat. Carl scoffed at Ivy. "No one invited you to sit with us."

"You aren't important, so what? I need some form of invitation to sit with a freak?" Carl spat back.

"A freak? That's all you got? Well how bout' this. You come sit with us when your haircut is even." Ivy smiled politely.

"Fuck off Ivy. I'm sorry I interrupted date time with Patrick." Ivy looked at Patrick with a confused look, but Patrick just gestured to where Carl Grimes was standing a few moments before he sat down. Ivy nodded her head she realized what he mean't.

"Carl." Ivy heard Rick scold as he walked towards them. "Ivy, Daryl's going on a run. Go say bye." Ivy nodded and went to another part of the outside of the prison.

Ivy saw Beth and Zack kiss and Ivy smiled a bit. She hoped one day she could experience teen romance.

"It's like a god damn romance novel." Daryl scoffed as he walked next to Ivy.

"And what do you know about romance novels?" Ivy asked poking the bear.

"I read the backs of yours." Daryl defended himself. Ivy laughed as she fist bumped Daryl.

"Be safe Daryl, please."

"Course' I will kid, don't worry, I'll be there for you and Patricks wedding." Daryl joked into her hair. Ivy pushed Daryl away from her and flipped him off.

"Patricks like a brother to me, puta." Ivy rolled her eyes at the man. Daryl laughed a bit.

"Yeah, ok."

Patrick likes men. Ivy thought in her head. She wondered if Patrick was actually going to ever come out, and if he ever made the choice too, Ivy would be right there by his side.

Ivy walked towards Zack. Ivy took Zacks hand and they did they're handshake they had just learned a few days ago.

"It's getting better, we'll work on it though!" Zack laughed with the girl. Beth was so happy Ivy was getting along with Zack. Ivy was like Beth's little sister and Beth adored Ivy.

"You be safe too, alright?" Ivy said. Zack nodded.

"Alright kid, see you soon." Zack got into a car and Daryl got onto his bike.

"Y'all be safe too!" Ivy yelled to the car in front. Everyone smiled at the girl as she jogged off.

Ivy saw Michonne riding in on her horse, but before she could go see her, Rick and Carl had already taken her full attention. Ivy got a bit closer and saw Carl carrying comics.

"No way! Awesome! Thank you!" Carl grinned like a little kid on Christmas.

His smile made Ivy feel the need to run up to him and kiss him, she knew she couldn't, but she wanted to. His voice was so pure and perfect. Ivy knew there was a sweet boy inside him, and she'd hopefully meet him one day.

As Rick and Carl walked away, Ivy walked up to Michonne. Michonne smiled as she noticed the girl.

"You've gotta be more subtle when you're looking at Carl." Michonne teased. Ivy ran a hand over her mouth to hide her blushing.

"Yeah right." Ivy scoffed. She was right.

Michonne laughed before she pulled two books out of her books. Ivy's face lit up with joy as she grabbed the books.

"Thank you!" Ivy beamed.

Carl was looking too. He looked back as we walked with Rick. He sighed. Why'd she have to be so perfect.

"He's staring." Michonne said quietly like. Ivy wanted to look but, back she didn't.

Rick took notice of his sons sudden action and laughed.

"Cmon' Carl, you can look at her all you want after." Rick laughed and Carl rolled his eyes. He knew he was going to think about her later.

She had consumed his thoughts. And he had consumed hers.

๐—œ๐—ฉ๐—ฌ ๐—›๐—”๐—— been spending the day hanging out with Beth. The two lied on Ivy's bed together as Ivy finished one of her books.

"You know theres been 30 days without an accident." Beth sighed out.

"Yeah, I look at that board every morning-"

"I knew he was cheating!" Beth screeched out as one of the male characters was caught cheating. Ivy giggled at the girl and continued to read.

Ivy loved moments like these. The bonding moments. They were great. She had some intimate heart-to-heart moments with some other people, like Glenn and Maggie. They were super nice and the nicest couple.

Patrick had told Ivy she could tag along on his and Carls hang out, which she acceptedโ€” she was always ready to bother Carlโ€” because she didn't have anything else to do.

Carl offered to play soccer with Patrick but Patrick kindly declined the offer.

"How about you, princess." Carl sneered. The princess rolling off his tongue so forcefully- it made Ivy and Patrick cringe. "You know how to play soccer? Or are you only a little ballerina."

"You know how to brush your teeth?" Ivy asked rhetorically, which made Carl scoff.

"Well, just know i'm gonna beat you."

Patrick watched as the intense game took place. Ivy beat Carl with ease, leaving a stunned Carl.

"That wasn't fair-" Ivy laughed loudly at the boy.

"You're pathetic." Ivy smiled and shrugged her shoulders at Carl. Carl can be mean but Ivy can be meaner. Ivy, Patrick and Carl all whipped there head at the sound of random names.

"Nick look over here!"

"This one's Wayne!"

"Nick!"

"Nick over here."

"The hell?" Ivy dropped the soccer ball and looked at the two. The three started walking towards the group of four kids, a bit younger than them.

"You're naming them?" Carl interrupted them. The children all looked at the disappointed teenagers.

"Well one of them had a name tag, so we thought all of them should!" Mika said.

"It doesn't matter Mika, they're dead." Ivy spoke. Mika's smile dropped.

"They had names when they were alive- there dead now." Carl explained as he started to lose his patience.

"No they're not. They're just different." Lizzie spoke. Ivy had a BIG problem with Lizzie. She may be a kid but she ran her mouth like an adult. There wasn't much of a gap in age in between Lizzie, Ivy, Carl, and Patrick, so Ivy could say whatever she wanted to Lizzie.

"Are you serious Lizzie? They tear people apart and eat them! They kill people!" Ivy argued, flaring her arms around as she spoke.

"People kill people." Lizzie said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Jesus christ- don't name them." Carl said giving up.

"You guys have killed people." Lizzie crossed her arms. Ivy walked over to Lizzie who was a bit shorter then her. Ivy slightly pushed Lizzie back.

"You wanna say that again?" Ivy asked, but Patrick grabbed Ivys shoulder. "Fucking bitch."

Ivy sighed as Lizzie and another kid walked away. Ivy feared she had taken the whole thing to far. But then again, Lizzie was annoying so Ivy didn't really care.

Mika stayed and looked at Patrick. "You coming to story time tonight?" Mika asked sweetly. Ivy liked Mika. She was so sweet and kind of reminded Ivy of her younger self. Ivy had started to teach Mika a bit of ballet as well.

Patrick looked at Carl and Ivy with a look of embarrassment, but it wasn't any of their business so why would they care?

"Uh, yeah." Patrick smiled at Mika.

"See ya' then!" Mika skipped away with a huge smile. Ivy waved at her and Mika waved back.

Patrick turned to Carl and Ivy with a grin on his face.

"I go sometimes. I'm immature." The three teens laughed. "You guys wouldn't dig it. It's for kids."

"I thought you and your girlfriend would go together." Carl spoke. Ivy raised an eyebrow at the two of them.

"Carl- How many times have I told you, Ivy's not my girlfriend."

"Carl, you're an idiot." Ivy laughed.

There it was again. Her beautiful laugh that Carl adored.

Ivy saw Carl staring at her features and quickly looked down. Ivy was quite insecure, she would never admit it though.

"You guys are all over each other!" Carl explained.

"I'm gonna go..." Patrick excuse himself from the painful conversation that was about to start.

"Bye Patrick." Ivy quickly changed her tone once she talked to Patrick. Patrick walked away and went inside.

"See! Even you change your tone when you were talking to him!" Carl argued.

"Patrick's my best friend- and even if he wasn't, he's not my type." Ivy defended herself. Carl stepped closer to Ivy. He was a couple inches taller than Ivy.

"You always go picking fights?" Carl asked, referring to the mishap with Lizzie. "Lizzies a kid. You would've gotten in so much trouble."

Ivy shrugged. "So?"

Ivy made her way to story time, which had already started. Ivy walked inside and sat on the floor right next to Patricks chair.

"And watched it melt slowly- oh hi Ivy." Carol greeted. Ivy waved and rested her head against Patricks chair.

Carl peaked his head through the door of the library and walked inside. He saw Ivy resting on Patricks chair and felt a sudden rush of rage.

Ivy really wasn't paying attention until Carol close the book. Ivy looked at Carol with a confused look.

"Ma'am, should I take watch now?" A little boy named Luke asked.

"Yes Luke, you do that." Carol smiled. Ivy was so lost.

Carl watched as Ivy's gaze turned from soft to confused. He smiled to himself, but quickly stopped when he realized what he was doing.

"Today... we are going to be talking about knives- how to use them, how to be safe with them, and how they could safe your life." Carol explained. "Ivy knows how to use knives well. Would you like to help me?"

"Sure..." Ivy stood up and sat next to Carol. Carol said she would be right back and Ivy would have to take over.

Ivy started working with the kids on how to use the knife. She taught them how to hold it and all the good stuff. Patrick had left mid way because he said he didn't feel good, and Ivy knew she'd have to check on him after.

When story time came to an end, the kids started leaving and Carol still wasn't back. Ivy had saw Carl walking around already and just didn't say anything.

Carl walked out from behind a bookshelf. The two locked eyes and Carl walked closer. Ivy stood up and walked towards him until they were again inches apart.

"Carl we can't keep meeting like this, the people will talk." Ivy said with a sly smirk as she put her hands in her back pockets.

"Let them talk."

Ivy blushed even more at the boys words. Ivy packed up the knives and closed the case.

"What do you want Carl?" I asked as she returned to her normal self.

"Beth told me I should tried being your friend and-" Carl started but was quickly cut off.

"No, Carl. Goodbye." Ivy pushed right by Carl.

"Wait-"

"Nope." Ivy walked out the library and went to her and Beth's cell. Ivy walked in and saw Beth writing her journal on the top bunk.

"Hey Ives." Beth greeted.

"That nickname sounds so stupid." Ivy cringed. "But it's ok because you gave it to me." Ivy laid down on her bed and closed her eyes.

"I saw you and Carl talking outside, you didn't seem like you were arguing." Beth laughed.

"Oh, shut up." Ivy blushed, but bent her head down.

"Oh my god! You're blushing!" Beth squealed.

Beth's excitement was cut short by Daryl walking in.

"Hey." The girls say in unison. "Jinx, you owe me a coke." Beth says with a smile.

Ivy furrowed her eyebrows. "Coke? Like cocaine-"

"Girls." Daryl said with a soft voice.

"What's wrong?" Ivy asked as she sat up. Ivy and Beth knew by the look on his face it wasn't good. Ivy closed her eyes, waiting for the horrible news about someone.

"Zack." Daryl sighed.

Ivys eyes softened as she looked at Daryl, a soft sigh leaving her lips. She knew this stuff happens, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

Ivy heard Beth sigh and jump down from her bed.

"Is he dead?" Beth inquired as she sat next to Ivy. Ivy rested her hand on top of Beths in comfort, reminding Beth that she was there.

Daryl didn't speak, so the two girls knew there answer. Ivy bit her cheek as she nodded at Daryl.

Beth got up and took off the number 30. Ivy watched as Beth walked over to Daryl and hugged him tightly. Their dynamic was so pure. Just like an older brother and his sister.

"I know you tried your best to protect him." Ivy told Daryl. Daryl nodded and looked down at Beth.

"I don't cry anymore guys." Beth spoke. Ivy and Daryl nodded at the blonde girl.ย  "I'm just glad I got to know him, you know?"

Ivy stood up and hugged Beth. "Hey, we should get to bed." Ivy looked over at Daryl. "Goodnight, D."

"Night, girls."
