Chapter One: The Pilot is Here
CHAPTER SEVEN
(act ii)
THE PILOT IS HERE
'pilot'
"It's time, the beginning of the end"

It's been a week since the funeral of Grayson and Miranda Gilbert.
Jeremy was a mess. He, unfortunately, still turned to weed, but only weed.
He uses it to cope with his new life. He gets nightmares, and I usually help him through it. I'm trying to be there for him, but it's hard. I usually have a hit with him, so he doesn't feel so alone. I think it helps.
I don't know how to help him. I don't know how he feels. I've never had to deal with loss besides my own life, and Alisha, that was easy because I came back and I would see Alisha again. The Gilberts didn't come back.
It's hard seeing him like this. He's trying to distance himself, but I won't let him; we won't let him. Tyler and Bonnie have been a big help.
He's ignored the advances of Victoria because, in his words, "I have you, your all I need Care." Which makes my heart flutter just thinking about the way he's eyes shinned with love and honesty. I love him. I do.
Tyler didn't get involved with her either. He has standards, and they would never work out, and he's focusing more on football and school. Frankly, I think he has a crush on Bonnie, but who knows?
The worse part is that Elena hasn't said much to him other than bossing him around, trying to force him to tell her his feelings. She's been writing in that stupid dairy. She's acting like his mother, and I don't like it.
She acts fine, but we all know it's a fucking lie. She's just trying to act strong, very poorly, might I add. She's trying to get the sympathy card.
She hasn't gotten over her own survivor's guilt to notice her little brother is slowly falling apart, and everyone is picking up the pieces besides her.
Her grief is all that matters. Bonnie has been civil and trying to help simply because she's too kind.

My alarm had just gone off, and I was slowly getting ready for school. After getting my outfit on and applying mascara and some clear lip-gloss to my curled hair, I walk downstairs.

My phone buzzes, meaning I got a text. It's probably Bonnie, I thought.
Bonnie ❤️: Good Morning! Can we get coffee this morning? What time are you going to be here?
Care Bear 🔮: Good Morning, Darling. Yes, I will get coffee before I pick you up. I'm about to leave now, so I'll be 10 minutes. I'll see you soon.
Bonnie ❤️: Okay! Thanks, heaps. Text me when you're here. You know my order, right?
Care Bear 🔮: It's okay and of course. An iced white chocolate mocha.
Bonnie ❤️: Yes!! See you soon x
_____________________________________________
I had arrived at the Bennett residence. It was the witch house, but they brought it and turned it into a mansion a few years ago from all the money from selling sunlight jewelry to desperate vampires. I parked near the front door and texted Bonnie I was here.
I waited a few moments, and Bonnie came out, locked the house door, and took her place in the passenger seat. I gave her iced coffee to her and a brown paper bag.
Bonnie smiled, opened the bag, and squealed, realizing it was a ham and cheese toastie. "Thank you so much. I forgot to eat breakfast," Bonnie says.
"I know you always forget, so I picked it up for you," I told her with a shrug.
She gave me and hug and started sipping her coffee after buckling up. I nodded and started driving to the Gilbert Residence to pick up Elena and Jeremy.
As I pulled up at the Gilbert house, I looked at Bonnie, who had nearly finished her coffee. "Why are we picking up Elena? She has a license," I asked her.
Bonnie just sighed at my question. "Care, she was literally in a car accident that killed her parents. She's not driving for a while. We are her friends, so we need to be there for her," she told me like she was speaking to a toddler. I was most certainly not a toddler. I mentally huffed.
I groaned at her answer "Ughh, Elena and I are not friends. We simply stay in each other's company purely because of your darling. She's your friend, and you're hers; I'm just there. She's annoying."
Bonnie sighed again. "Babe, your friends. You have been since childhood. I know you guys don't get along that well, but please be civil. For me." she told me as she pulled out the big guns—the puppy dog eyes.
I looked at her. "Bonnie, you know I can't say no to you, especially when you use those eyes. Fine, I will be nice to you."
Bonnie smiled, brought her phone out, and texted Elena and Jeremy when they arrived.
We waited a few moments, which I spent finishing my salted caramel frappe.
They both left the house, sat in the back, and buckled up. Elena turned to me and thanked me, as did Jeremy. I nodded and drove off.
As we drove in silence with the radio lightly playing in the background, did Bonnie break it? "So, how did your guy's last summer weekend go?" Bonnie questioned the Gilberts.
Elena cringed at the question since she was acting like those people leaning their heads on the window listening to sad music staring at nothing. As if she was the only one who had lost someone.
She responded with a fake smile, "Oh uh, It was good; I did some light reading for school, I guess, " and looked out the window again.
Jeremy then responded, "Oh it was good. Tyler and I played basketball most of the time and went to the swimming hole. You guys should have come with us."
Bonnie smiled and nodded and replied, "Yeah, I know. I wish I went, but I had to help Grams at work, and Care was busy doing whatever she does."
I just nodded and said, "Yes, my apologies. I was looking for a new house for my mother and I and reconnected with an old friend. If not, I would've joined you guys."
Jeremy grinned and said, "Yeah I would love to see you in a bikini babe."
Elena just groaned, elbowed Jeremy in the side, and reprimanded him, "Jeremy, stop hitting on Caroline. She's my friend and older than you."
Jeremy looked at the front mirror catching my raised eyebrow. He sighed and said, "Yeah yeah, sure," and grumbled to himself, "Not like it's stopped us before" I heard it since he was seated behind me, and I let out a small chuckle which earned me a confused look from both Elena and Bonnie. I waved them off, still driving, making them nod.
Bonnie looks like she had a lightbulb moment and says, "So Grams is telling me I'm psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem, witches, and all that, I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it, and I'm like, put this woman in a home already! But then I started thinking, I predicted Obama, and I predicted Heath Ledger, and I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands...Elena! Back in the car" after noticing Elena was not listening to her. She looks over to me and catches my eye, and I roll my eyes at her with her pointed look.
"Are you okay Elena?" I ask gently, seeing Bonnie's pointed look and Jer's worried face.
She looks at me, nods, and replies to Bonnie, "I did it again, didn't I? I—I'm sorry. Bonnie. You were telling me that..." she trailed off, not knowing what she was talking about.
Bonnie just dismisses the rude behaviour and responds prideful, "I'm psychic now".
Elena is still confused but nods and says, "Right. Okay, then predict something. About me." Because everything has to be about her.
Bonnie nods and smiles and responds, "I see..." she gets stopped as a stupid crow hits my windscreen. It was Damon, that fuck head.
"My apologies. Are you all alright?" I say, looking over my shoulder at Jeremy, and he nods with a strained simile.
Bonnie is frazzled and speaks, "What was that?! Oh my god! Elena, are you okay? Jer? Care what happened?"
Elena nods and responds, "It's okay. I'm fine. Jeremy?" as she looks over to him, hugging him quickly as he pats her back awkwardly. We catch each other's eyes and smile at each other.
Bonnie interrupts the moment and says, "It was like a bird or something. It came out of nowhere."
"It was a crow, darling", I tell Bonnie coldly, thinking about Damon.
Elena ignores me and says, "Really, I can't be freaked out by cars for the rest of my life." I wasn't even talking to you, you dishwasher, I thought.
Bonnie then nods and goes back to the previous conservation. "I predict this year is going to be kick-ass. And I predict all the sad and dark times are over, and you will be beyond happy."
I just smile at the irony and keep driving.
_____________________________________________
They all get out of the car, and Bonnie and Elena walk away a little bit, waiting for Caroline to lock her car. Jeremy walks up behind her, squeezes her hips, kisses her neck, and says near her ear, "You look beautiful today. Thank you for the ride this morning; even if I prefer a different ride but beggars can't be choosers."
She chuckles, turns around, hugs him, and says, "Thank you, love. It's all right, and I'll give you a ride, your ride, whenever you want," I huskily respond.
Jeremy groans and moves away after hearing Elena complain that were taking too long to which we roll our eyes and laugh but walk up to them, and we all go in.
Jeremy walks off, looking for Tyler.
_____________________________________________
We walk in through the school front doors and walk along the corridors. Bonnie and Elena smiled at everyone, but I waved at a few of the other cheerleaders as we walked.
Bonnie sighs and says, "Major lack of male real estate. Look at the shower curtain on Kelly Beech. She looks like a hot – can I still say 'tranny mess'?" looking at me.
I shake my head no at her, and Bonnie nods.
Elena then says, "No, that's over".
Bonnie replies, looking at me, "Ahh, find a man, coin a phrase. Busy year," which makes me look at her with a frown. Is her training too much? Is she worried about the upcoming drama? I think to myself.
Elena then waves at Mundane Matt, who looks at her and ignores her.
Elena sighs, leaning against the locker, and says, "He hates me". Bonnie and I look at each other before looking over at Matt. Bonnie, the ever-nice person, comforts her and says, "That's not hate. That's "you dumped me, but I'm too cool to show it, but secretly I'm listening to Air Supply's greatest hits."
Elena nods, and I zone out of the conversation regarding classes.
_____________________________________________
Jeremy was outside waiting for Tyler to show up so they could chat before school. He got interrupted after Vicki came walking up to him. Vicki smiles at him and puts her hand out to him.
"What do you want?" Jeremey says tiredly.
Vicki sighs and responds, "Drugs? I know you have some, give me some, and we can go hang out if you know what I mean..." trailing a hand down his chest, trying to be seductive. Key word trying.
Jeremy stands up, making her hand fall, and he looks down at her and says, "Vicki, I'm not giving you drugs. I only do weed. I also don't want to hang out with you, I have a girlfriend and she's enough for me and she's much better than your skank ass now, leave me alone."
Tyler interrupts whatever she is going to say and says jokingly, "Hey, Pete Wentz called. He wants his nail polish back", with a laugh.
Jeremy chuckles and responds with, "Pete Wentz, huh? How old school T.R.L of you? Carson Daly fan?"
Tyler just laughs, gives him a bro hug, and walks over, leaving Vicki upset and confused.
_____________________________________________
Elena, Bonnie, and I were walking past the school office till Bonnie said, "Hold up. Who's this?" making us all look at who she was looking at. I just grin, hearing the cannon lines and seeing Stefan. God, I'm going to have so much fun.
Elena says, "All I see is back," Bonnie replies, "It's a hot back."
I look at Elena, annoyed. "Did you not just break up with Matt?" I ask.
She looked up at me with a guilty and sad look and just looked down at the floor. I rolled my eyes at her behavior while Bonnie gave me an annoyed look and then said, "It's fine Elena, she was just joking," making me huff, and Elena nodded.
Bonnie looked over at him and said, "I'm sensing Seattle, and he plays the guitar," with a nod.
I chuckle and say with an amused voice, "I'm sensing a self-hating brooding guy, who has a brother, and he's probably a vampire." Stefan just cringed at the V word. How obvious, I thought.
Bonnie glares at me for making fun of her and that I'm not trying to hide my knowledge of vampires. I just shot her an innocent look which she rolled her eyes at.
Elena laughs awkwardly and says to Bonnie, ignoring me, "You're really going to run this whole psychic thing into the ground, huh?"
Bonnie shrugs and says, "Pretty much, yeah."
Elena then notices Jeremy walking into the bathroom with a weird expression on her face and storming after him for whatever reason.
Bonnie ignores her and says, "Please be hot," making me laugh and respond, "You, dearie, are desperate," making her shoot me a mock glare and widen my grin.
Bonnie tiredly says, "Why can't we tell Elena that we know and were witches? I hate lying and pretending."
I respond monotone, "We've kept her out of the loop for years, why are you upset now? She will find out soon by herself. She'll be fine, she will have two vampire brothers obsessed and after her, they'll keep her safe. Trust me I've seen it."
"Even if it costs everyone else," I grumble.
Bonnie just sighs. "When are you going to tell me what you see?"
I sigh at the question. Usually, Bonnie never asks because she knows I won't say anything.
"Spoilers, darling..." I tell her with a big grin.
She frowns at my answer and gives me a pleading look, batting her brown eyes at me.
I sigh and say, "Okay. Fine! One question, that's it, darling."
Bonnie's frown turns into a big grin. She knows I'm whipped for her. She cheerily responds, "What happens to Elena?"
I frown; of course, Bonnie would ask about Elena when she had a free pass on knowing anything her heart desires.
I respond with a scowl, "Her life becomes a love triangle, two vampire brothers will lust after her, and she fucks their already broken relationship because she can't make up her mind. She dies, comes back, dies, becomes a vampire and gets cursed to sleep. She fucks everyone's lives up because she's selfish and is a martyr and because she is from a line of identical women. She's like a unicorn but a white unicorn, exceedingly rare and everyone wants the white unicorn. You and the others die and sacrifice everything for that bitch and you wonder why I hate her," I rant.
Bonnie just looks at me wide-eyed and gapes like a fish. I just smile lightly and place my fingertips under her chin and push her mouth closed.
Bonnie just shakes her head bewildered.
"Are you serious! This is what you've been holding back from me for years," she whisper-yells at me.
I shrug and reply, "Yes, amongst other things. I didn't tell you because you didn't need to know. I am managing everything. You and the others will live happily, and Elena will not come between that for selfish reasons" my voice turns stern at the end.
Bonnie just looks at me, knowing she couldn't change my mind, and just nods her head. "I trust you."
I hug her and pat her hair as she cries a little bit, and we stand there for a bit.
_____________________________________________
Elena storms into the bathroom, grabbing Jeremy's face and looking into his eyes to see if he's high. She says haughtily, "Great. It's the first day of school, and your stoned."
Jeremy rolls his eyes and says, "I'm not, and I had one joint.
Elena pats him down like an airport security guard and says, "Where is it? Is it on you?"
Jeremy quickly loses his patience and says, "Stop, all right?! You need to chill yourself, all right?"
Elena says, "Chill myself? What is that, stoner talk? Dude, you are so cool."
Jeremy huffs, "Look, stop! I don't have anything on me. I don't bring it to school. Are you crazy?
Elena loses her shit and says, "You haven't seen crazy, Jeremy! I gave you a summer pass, but I am done watching you destroy yourself. No, no, no, you know what? Go ahead. Keep it up. But just know that I will be there to ruin your buzz every time, you got it? Jeremy, I know who you are. And it's not this person. So don't be this person."
Jeremy then snarls, "Get the fuck off me. You didn't give me shit. You're not the boss of me. You're not mom. I will smoke If I want. Leave me alone. I don't need this." He walks off, annoyed.
Elena is left alone and walks out of the boy's bathroom, running into Stefan, who is confused and says, "Uh, pardon me. Um.... is this the men's room?
Elena blushes, embarrassed, and stutters, "Yes. Umm, I was just, um—I was just—it's a long story.."
This bitch seriously can't speak in complete sentences, like umm, um, uhh god make your mind up, I think to myself, eavesdropping.
Elena tries to pass, and they do that stupid walking into each other cliché thing. Stefan stops and makes way for her, and she thanks him and walks off.
I watch, leaning against the locker alone, rolling my eyes at the doppelgänger's allure.

We're skipping a bunch of scenes because they're useless, and Care isn't a part of it, and because we've all seen this episode multiple times.

Timeskip ~ Nighttime at The Grill
Bonnie and I were seated at the table, waiting for our milkshakes to arrive. The service is poor; the waitress cough Vicki cough, is trying to get dick instead of doing her job, aka getting Bonnie and me our milkshakes. Yes, I'm impatient.
Matt comes over and talks to Bonnie, knowing I don't like him. He turns to Bonnie and asks, "How's Elena doing."
Bonnie sighs. "Her mom and dad died. What do you think? She's putting on a good face, but it's only been four months."
Matt completely ignores the girl's parents' death and asks, "Has she said anything about me?"
Hearing this makes me scoff. "Her parents died. You're not on her mind, Mundie."
Bonnie rolls her eyes and quickly says, "Oh, no. So not getting in the middle. You pick up the phone and call her."
Matt frowns at both of our answers and says, "I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me."
I huff, rolling my eyes, telling him, "For good reason, mundane," ignoring his hurt expression.
Bonnie sighs at my behavior and says, "Give it more time, Matt," giving him a look trying to make up for my behavior, making me huff again.
I grin, hearing the door open, and see Elena enter with Stefan. I look at the Mundane and chuckle, seeing his saddened face.
He says, "More time, huh?" He scoffs and walks over to Elena and Stefan and introduces himself.
Tyler walks over to Bonnie and me, smiling and hugging each other. We talk, waiting for the others to come over. Stefan and Elena come up to us. Elena stares at Tyler's arm around Bonnie's shoulder and wiggles her eyebrows at Bonnie, and she just shakes her head with a laugh. Vicki then comes by with our milkshakes and gives Tyler a smile trying to get in his pants again.
We make our way over to our usual table and say our hellos. Stefan turns to me, and I say, "Hello. You must be Stefan." I lean over and put out my hand for him to shake it. Elena just rolls her eyes at me. He nods, shakes my hand, and says, "Yes, your Caroline is right."
I hide a grimace and nod, not replying to his question. I move on and ask him my cannon line, can't be the only one, "So, you were born in Mystic Falls?"
He looks at me and says, "Mm-hmm. And moved when I was still young."
I nod at the answer, and Bonnie takes over and asks, "Parents?"
Stefan looks uncomfortable; well, he did eat his father, and his mother left, and he thinks she is dead when she isn't. He says, "My parents passed away."
Elena looks at him batting her dull brown doe eyes, and says with a sad voice, "I'm sorry. Any siblings?"
He nods, staring into her eyes, clearly forgetting we were here. I roll my eyes at the cliché that sits in front of me.
He says, "None that I talk to. I live with my uncle," making me grin mischief. "So, you do have siblings?" Stefan looks alarmed and looks up at me, making me smile innocently. He hesitantly nods and says, "Yes, an older brother, we're estranged at the moment."
I say, "Oh, I apologize," keeping my fake innocent smile. I cannot believe no one picked up on this. Were they not listening, just staring at his hero hair? I think to myself.
Bonnie then speaks up after the weird silence, "So, Stefan, if you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow. It's a back-to-school thing at the falls." She tells him.
Stefan turns to Elena and asks, "Are you going?" She looks like a dear in headlights, and Bonnie speaks up, "Of course, she is," making me roll my eyes as Debby Ryan smirks.

The Next Day ~ History Class
The next day came quickly, and I was seated at the back of Tanner's class besides Bonnie listening to Tanner drown on about the Battle of Willow Creek. This education system is so bad that we literally learn only about town events and not real-world history. No wonder no one lives in this town. They know nothing about the world, only their little town as if it's the whole world. We even skip school to go to town events which are so dumb.
"The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett?" Tanner said, looking down at Bonnie, who looked wide-eyed, clearly not listening
"Um...a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot." Bonnie says, making everyone laugh as Tanner glares at her.
"Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett." Tanners said, making me shot daggers at him. How rude. Perhaps I should speed up his death, I think to myself.
Tanner moves on and questions the Mundane, "Mr. Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?"
Mundane shrugs and says, "It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it," displaying an ugly smirk.
Tanner nods and again questions another who isn't listening. "Hmm. Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significant historical events?". Elena looks confused since she was too busy flashing her doe eyes at the Rippah.
"I'm sorry, I--I don't know," Elena tells him quietly, looking down and making Tanner annoyed.
"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with summer break." Tanner tells her, making her look down.
His terse statement annoys me: "Watch yourself, Mr. Tanner; you are showcasing inappropriate behaviour. There is not a limit on grief, it's never-ending. You probably wouldn't understand since you've never cared for anyone else besides yourself. There's were 346 casualties, sir. Unless you are counting the local civilians." I tell him with a stern look in my eyes.
I may dislike the girl, but I wasn't one for rude behavior. Tanner is also a dickhead who I hate and can't wait for him to die.
Tanner glares at me for telling him off before clearing his throat of embarrassment.
"Well, very good. Except, of course, there weren't any civilian casualties in this battle." Tanner told me, and as I was about to correct him, I was interrupted.
"Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in the civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts, Mr. Tanner." Stefan told him, making Tanner huff and glare.
He turned back towards the front of the room and said, "Hmm."
Stefan and I look at each other and nod.

Timeskip ~ Bonfire Party in the Woods
Soon enough, it was time to 'party.' I went home and got changed before picking Bonnie up and driving us to the bonfire in the woods.

Bonnie and I stand around with Elena, and Bonnie looks at her and says, "Just admit it, Elena."
Elena laughs and says, "Oh, okay, so he's a little pretty."
"He has that romance novel stare." Bonnie tells her
I interrupt and say, "More like Edward Cullen stare. He's deciding if he wants to tear out your throat and suck you dry or fuck you, both choices seem good," making them look wide-eyed at me, and I just shrug my shoulders and walk off, looking for Jeremy or Tyler.
I just drink from my flask full of vodka. I see Stefan, so I walk up to him.
"Hello, Stefan. You made it," I say with a bored voice.
Stefan smiles and nods. "I did"
"Do you want a drink? You look like you need it." I tell him with a straight face
He just nods and follows me.
I give him a beer, and he nods at me, and I smile at him.
I see Bonnie walk away, leaving Elena alone as Stefan walks up to her and they start walking off talking.
_____________________________________________
I see Stefan, so I walk over with a bored look and ask him with a smile, "Having a good night?"
Stefan sighs and says, "I think you've had too much to drink."
I huff. "Not really, just a bit of vodka, dearie," I say, shaking my flask at him with a small smile.
Stefan says, "Caroline. You and me, it's not gonna happen. Sorry."
I narrow my eyes at him and say, "Excuse me! I'm not hitting on you. I'm being friendly. Be grateful. I'm usually not this nice. I also have a boyfriend who I'm happy with. God." I huff and walk away
_____________________________________________
Stefan walks away and approaches Elena.
Elena nods at him and says, "I was wondering who abducted you, but now I know."
Stefan nods and says, "Is she like that with all the guys?"
Elena replies, "No. You're fresh meat. She'll back off eventually."
Stefan says, "She said she has a boyfriend. Who?"
"A boyfriend? I didn't know that." Elena says with a frown looking up and seeing Jeremy with someone walk off.
"God, you gotta be kidding me," Elena sighs.
Stefan says, "What is it?"
Elena replies, "My brother. And is that Caroline?"
Stefan follows her eyes and says, "The drunk one? I think so."
Elena nods and sighs. "That would be the one. Excuse me."
Elena walks off, and Stefan calls after her, "Need some help?"
Elena turns around and says, "Trust me, you're not going to want to witness this. Jeremy! Jeremy! Caroline!" walking off, following the two lovebirds.
They all walk into the dark forest. Jeremy and Caroline and talking and walking.
Elena interrupts them, yelling after them, "Jeremy, where the hell are you going? Care what are you doing?"
Jeremy sighs and turns back, yelling at his sister, "I don't want to hear it! Leave us alone. We're trying to talk!" and looking over at Caroline. Ready to start talking, but Elena interrupts them again with a yell, "Yeah, well, too bad!"
Caroline looks ahead of them, sees Vicki, and is about to catch Jeremy, but he trips over her and sees her bleeding.
Jeremy becomes frantic and yells, "Vicki? Oh, my god, it's Vicki!"
Elena joins him, recognizes her, and shakily says, "Oh, my god!"
Caroline says, "She'll be fine; we just need to get her to a hospital. Jeremy pick her up and watch her head."
Jeremy nods and picks her up gently, and they all run out of the woods to the party.
Elena shrieks, "Somebody help!"
Matt notices and runs over, yelling, "Vicki? Vicki, what the hell?!"
Tyler catches on and runs over as well. "What happened to her?" he asks
Jeremy places her down on a table, and Caroline and Jeremy stand together, holding each other, watching Vicki.
Matt yells at the growing crowd, "Somebody, call an ambulance!"
Tyler yells at everyone, pushing them back, "Everybody back up, give her some space!"
Elena yells again, "It's her neck. Something bit her. She's losing a lot of blood."
Caroline grabs a handkerchief and puts it on Vicki's neck, applying pressure.
"Vicki, Vicki, come on, open your eyes, look at me." Matt says to Vicki
_____________________________________________
Matt leaves with Vicki in the ambulance. Bonnie and Elena stand together, and Bonnie asks her, "Hey. Care is taking me home. Do you need a ride?"
Elena shakes her head and says, "No, I gotta take Jeremy home."
Bonnie nods and tells her, "Okay but Elena, be careful. This is just the beginning." And walks off to Caroline, and they leave together.
Elena walks over to Jeremy, sitting as he drinks a beer.
Elena sighs and sits next to him and says, "You okay? I called Jenna, she's on her way. Last time I checked, those people in uniforms are the police. People are going to stop giving you breaks, Jer. They just don't care anymore. They don't remember that our parents are dead, because they've got their own lives to deal with. The rest of the world has moved on. You should try, too."
"I've seen you in the cemetery writing in your diary. Is that--is that supposed to be you moving on?" Jeremy responds, annoyed.
Elena sighs, saying, "Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted this."
Jeremy stands up and replies, "You don't know what they want, because there dead. you need to accept that because I have. My friends have been there more then you ever have. Caroline has been there for me while you sit at your window writing in your stupid diary. Don't tell me to move on when I have."
Jeremy shakes his head, walking away.

Timeskip ~ Later Tonight
I teleport into Jeremy's room, planning on staying the night because he needs the support. Hearing and seeing are two different things. I briefly told him what would happen tonight, but I'm scared of how it affected him. Jeremy was heavily affected during the show, but it's probably only because he was 'in love' with Vicki.
I stand in front of his bed, and he's lying under the covers waiting for me. I texted him earlier I was coming over. I drop my bag on the floor, and he opens the covers for me to get in.
I sigh and climb in and hug him. My arms go around his neck, and he lay on my hips. He pulls me closer, and we press against each other, listening to each other breathing.
I run my hand through his hair and ask him, "Are you okay, darling" with a soft voice.
Jeremy sighs into my ear and tiredly responds, "Yeah, I guess. I knew It was happening, but it's still weird. I'm already over the supernatural drama, and it's just started."
"I know and that's okay. This drama will be crazy but I will be there for you, every step of the way. I will protect you, I'm strong okay? Everyone will be okay. After this drama we can do whatever we want. Leave and never come back. Whatever you want darling." I tell him gently.
God, he deserves the world. He doesn't deserve this. He doesn't deserve this drama; he should be living his life. Seeing how it affects him makes me hate Elena even more.
Jeremy just nods and whispers, "I love you," squeezing me tight against him.
"I love you so much," I tell him hearing his breaths even out.
We both sleep cuddled together, in each other's arms.
Because it's us against the world...at the moment.

I'm sorry this took so long to update; I've been busy lol and Grammarly wasn't working for me. I'll try to update the next chapter in a few days. I watched the pilot episode and omg it's so bad. Like in my head I remember it so much better. Stefan's hair is so bloody bad. Ughh shivers in disgust.
Do we ship Bonnie and Tyler? I don't know who Bonnie's love interest or Tyler's will be byt they both deserve love but idk know who. Comment who. Perhaps Kol or should Kol be with Kai and Care/Ana – I'm still debating this. Like I'm saying no there's too many people but then I think of the relationship Kol and kai could have murdering people but also Kol and Jeremy fluff idkkkkk ughhhh.
I kinda need help, since Alaric is re-casted should Care realize it and question it or not know and think he's always been played by Jensen? I'm not sure what I would write, but I feel if I were in the situation I would question why someone was re-casted idk.
I'm trying to make it different because I don't want it to be just the script but I'm not sure what to change ughh
Yes the last sentence was foreshadowing the other guys in Care's relationship.
When should Enzo make his appearance?
I didn't read this over so comment if there's issues or problems
