“Pagli anjaani woh Munna ke dil ki rani,
Filmy kahani woh Madhuri ki deewani.
Juliet woh bani Sameer ke liye,
Par Naina ke liye usne de di qurbani.
Naina se judi, dosti me bandhi,
Woh Preeti Naina ki thi parchai.
Bhatak si gayi kuch pal jo woh,
Dosti Naina ki use sabke dilo me phir se layi.
Munna ki zindagi uske dil ki hasi,
Naa jane kyun woh uske pyaar ke liye kuch pal bhi na lad paayi.
Sapne the bade, khushiya thi judi,
Par Swati ke kadmo me dagamagahat jab aayi,
Munna ki swati se woh,
kisi aur ki sangini ho aayi.”

The breeze rumbled, morning sunlight hidden under the thick blanket of grey spread across the sky. Here, in a well furnished room a pretty girl pulled the duvet over her head protecting herself from the cold as well as the shrill sound of the phone which was constantly ringing. She groaned, burying her head under the pillow, too sleepy to pick up the call. Hearing the sound, her mother entered in and found her sleeping soundly with the phone ringing in one corner. She shook her head in disbelief and patted her "Phone to utha le sustram, tere liye hi hoga."

She gave her the phone urging her to pick up. Reluctantly, she attended the call and said a sleepy hello and in return what the other person said, made her chrip a thank you with a carefree grin, wide awake from sleep by now. She got up smiling widely stretching herself. Her mother smiled at her "Janam din mubarak ho meri ladoo." She wished her again, kissing her head.
"Thank you Mummy" Kristina giggled hugging her mom back.

"Chal ab jaldi se ready hoke aaja, tera favourite breakfast banaya hai, fir batana aaj kya plan banaya hai."

"Plan... abhi to aapne bataya tha na ki shaam ko party hai gharwalo ke saath, bas wahi hai aur doston ne bhi kuch socha hoga shayad, pata nahi." She shrugged, wondering what surprises her friends may be planning.

Her mother nodded and went out asking her to come soon. She stepped down from the bed and opened her balcony door. The cold breeze made her shiver momentarily, the cloudy climate and light drizzle spread a clam smile on her face. It was past 10am, but still the weather was chilly, thanks to the month of December and unexpected rains from the past two days. Seemed like even nature is rejoicing her birthday, rains were always her favourite but she never imagined that it could every rain in December that to in Mumbai, but it was happening now.

She let out her hands through the grill and the tiny droplets landed on her hand. She giggled enjoying the feel of the pleasant weather reminiscing about the party last night. She had enjoyed to the fullest with her freinds, being the center of attention. They had a full blast till late night after the midnight cake cutting. Suddenly, a thought struck her mind and she rushed in to pick up her phone. She went through all the wish messages and replied to them but rechecking them she realised the wishes she was expecting were not there and this made her purse her lips. She chucked aside the thoughts and went to get ready for the day. After morning prayers with her mom, she sat down on the dinning table, and at the same time the bell rang making her beam as Vishal entered after her mom opened the door.

They sat down to have breakfast and after a while her mother exucused herself with a crooked smile leaving the duo blushing. Vishal peeped at the door making sure they were alone and took her in a soft hug wishing her, "Acha suno na kahi bahar chale main to aaj pura din free hu." she asked excitedly.

"Haan ussi ke liye to aaya hu, tum ready ho jao fir chalte hain." She dressed up and both ventured out, first going to the Gateway of India and took a jet ride from there and returned to a restaurant for their lunch date. After a while, they were chatting about random things enjoying their outing, when suddenly Vishal's phone rang. He narrowed his eyes at the unknown number before attending it, firstly listening to it calmly and then suddenly tensed up "What aise kaise..."

And stopped, as the other person said something and he continued "Maine kaha tha na aaj..."

"......."

Kristina stiffened lisenting to his curt voice which seemed like there is some trouble. "Mujhe wo sab nahi pata tumari galti tum sambhalo."

"......."

"Nahi, main nahi aaunga."

"......."

"Lekin maine kaha na, nahi tum samajh...."

"......."

"Hmm... sochta hu kuch." He cut the call abruptly and put the phone back with a thud.

"Kya hua Vishal, kuch problem hai kya?" She asked worriedly, to which he hesitantly replied, "Haan, wo actually maine jo music video sign kiya tha wo aaj shoot ho raha hai."

"Aaj... aise kaise achanak?"

"Haan wo kuch urgent plan ban gaya tha aur mujhe bula rahe hain."

"Haan to jao na, hum kisi aur din ghum lenge. Kaam important hai, itna kya soch rahe ho."

"Sach... mera matlab tum naraaz to nahi..."

"Pagal ho kya, main kyu naraaz hongi bhala, tum araamse jao. Bas shaam ko party miss mat karna." She gave him a genuine smile.

But he was still tensed, "Party... wo actually...." he stammered.

"Kya hua... are haan main bhi kitni pagal hu itna jaldi thodi pack up hoga, koi nahi tum..." She guessed the situation but he immediately replied, "Nahi nahi wo nahi, actually wo hotel mai kuch issue hogaya hai to party bhi cancel karna padega. Aunty ne abhi message kiya." he stated.

"Acha!" Her smiled dropped for a moment, but brought it back in an instant when he said, "Lekin tum sad mat ho, main raat ko aajaunga, hum dinner karne chalenge."

Her smile was back, she wished him luck and got up to go, denying when he wished to drop her at home asking him to go and get ready. After her car exited the hotel gates, he grinned internally praising his acting skills. He called up the person and informed him that the first step is done.

Kristina was sitting in her room, scrolling her instagram liking all her birthday wishes from her fans. Constantly waiting for her friends Ashi, Randeep, Ayesha, Raghav and Sanjay to wish her. None of them had wished her yet. After the show ended, though most of them were busy in their works and didn't get much time to interact, but Ashi and Sanjay were still in touch with her and she was sure they both won't forget her birthday. May be they were shooting and will call up when they get time, she consoled her heart.

Her thoughts were interrupted when suddenly someone gave a hard thump on her back making her jump from her place with a yelp. Madhushree stood there, grinning at her, "Madhu tum kab aayi?" She hugged her happily.

"Aunty ne bataya, tum akele baithke bore ho rahi ho, main free thi to socha milne aau tumse." She sat on the bed as Kristina went to get some snacks.

They were gossiping, munching on the snacks with Kristina hopefully checking her phone in between. Madhu noticed this and smriked, "Kya baar baar phone dekh rahi hai, koi aane wala hai kya usme se nikal ke?"

"Nahi aaya na, aur abhi to lagta hai aayega bhi nahi." She gloomily replied.

Madhu controlled her giggle and quizzically asked, "Kya nahi aaya? Wo phone hai Kittu, Doraemon ka jaduyi darwaza nahi ki koi bhi prakat hojayega usme se."

"Agar ye joke tha na to mujhe bilkul hassi nahi aayi." She made face at her and continued, "Humare doston mein se kisine wish nahi kiya abhi tak, aise bhi kahan busy hain yaar, ek msg to kar dete."

She pretended to be shocked and countined, "Kya? Abhi tak wish nahi kiya, meri to kuch der pehle baat huyi thi Ayesha se..."

"Ayesha se baat huyi? Kya kaha usne?  Kahan hai? Kya kar rahi hai? Itna gayab kyu rehti hai kuch bataya usne?" She was ready with her bunch of questions, to which Madhu replied, "Wo sab pata nahi... bas aise hi haal chaal puch rahi thi, zyada baat nahi huyi kahi ja rahi thi shayad. Mujhe to lagta hai sab itne busy hogaye ki tera birthday bhi bhul gaye."

"Haan shayad..." Kristina said sadly and next moment flared up "Aise kaise bhul gaye, koi nahi to kam se kam Ashi aur Sanjay... mujhe dono se ye umeed bilkul nahi thi, milne do dono ko aise class lungi na sote jagte mera birthday yaad rakhenge."

"Arre arre, tu shaant hoja agli baar se mai yaad dila dungi pakka. Tu tension mat le hum kuch karte hain." She pacified to which Kittu further cribbed, "Kya karenge ghar pe baith ke? Upar se baarish bhi nahi ho rahi. Do din se itni baarish ho rahi thi aur mere birthday ke din hi isse bhi gayab hona tha."

"Ab baarish ko thodi pata hai ki Kristina Ji ka mood off hai, usse khush karne abhi barasna chahiye." She chuckled but put a finger on her lips looking at her glare.

"Acha ye sab chod, dekh mai kya lai hu tere liye." She pulled out a big box from her bag and handed it to her. She looked surprised and said, "Kitne gifts dogi, kal raat ko bhi to diya tha."

"Acha tujhe nahi chahiye to main rakh leti hu." She pulled her hand back.

"Nahi nahi, mujhe chahiye na." She gave a sheepish smile and opened it, gaping at the content revealed. "Wow Madhu, ye kitna sundar hai" She squealed looking at the party gown.

Madhu smiled in satisfaction and said, "Abhi ja aur jaldi se ready hoke aaja."

"Ready... Kahi jana hai kya?"

"Abhi koi sawal jawab nahi, jao ready hojao nahi to mai akele chali jaungi."

"Arre yaar please batao na, tumhe to pata hai na mujhse suspense hazam nahi hota, acha kam se kam koi hint to dedo." She pestered.

Madhu thought for sometime and said, "Hmm... tumhare khaas ne kuch plan kiya hai tumhare liye." She was puzzled, "Mere khaas ne?"

Looking at her lost in thoughts, she rolled her eyes, "Tum ready ho rahi ho ya main jau?" She threatened making her rush to get ready.

Soon enough, they boarded her car and headed to their destination. Madhu guided her to the hotel hall as her eyes were covered with a cloth. As they reached the spot, she stopped and left her abruptly. "Madhu... kaha gayi? Arre ye to khol do? Kuch bola na... Madhu?" Kristina waved her hand in air and finally she herself pulled the cloth down restless by now, but jerked as she found herself in pitch darkness and Madhu was nowhere around. She felt her heart beats rising and before she could call out, balloons and party poppers bursted loudly making her shriek, shutting her eyes and when she opened them she was taken back as the super six along with Vishal and Madhu screamed happy birthday in chorus.

She gasped in shock, she never expected they all will be meeting today. She was standing in the middle of a hall decorated beatifully with flowers and fairy lights. Looking at her awestruck face Ashi and Ayesha stepped ahead. "Tujhe kya laga, hum sab bhul jayenge tera birthday?"

"Tum log... kaise... kab... bataya kyu nahi..." She was still in trance.

"Bata dete to surprise kharab ho jata na, yakin karlo balika ye sapna nahi hakikat hai." Ayesha pinched her, making her wince coming out of her stupor.

"Happy birthday Frock wali pandat" Sanjay hugged her, followed by Randeep and Raghav. She grinned at them "Kaise kiya sab? Aur Vishal, tumhara to shoot..."

"Wo to bahana tha, Sanjay ka call aaya tha ki kaise bhi karke tumhe ghar bheju aur hum log surprise ki taiyari kar sake. Ye sab bohot pehele se soch rahe the, isliye aunty ne bhi family party ka bahana banaya tha." He revealed.

"Aur fir jab party ka time aaya to main aagayi tujhe lene." said Madhu.

"Kamal ho tum sab, kitne dino baad hum sab ek saath mil rahe hain, main to bata bhi nahi sakti mujhe kaisa lag raha hai, thank you so..."

Raghav interrupted her, "Arre Kittu, dosti ka usool bhul gayi kya?" "Dosti mein no sorry, no thank you." All said together and giggled.

"Aur humne to aana hi tha, maine promise kiya tha na ki Super Six ka reunion karunga, tumhare birthday se acha mouka kab milta?" Randeep said.

They all had fun together and very soon, they brought forward the special cake prepared for Kristina which she cut very ecstatically as everyone sang the birthday song and rest of the evening was spent together having fun pulling each other's legs and many more frolic among the friends.

We all at FamiliaDeYUDKBH  feel so happy to have celebrated the birthday of this jolly member of Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat, who with her grace didn't just accentuate the show but even the aura of the show sets and we are very glad to present this small piece of poetry for her:

Chanchal si hawa,
behti si ghata,
woh gujrat ki parchai hai..
Sapno se bhari,
khushiyon me ghiri,
woh albeli angdaai hain..
Choti si umar,
Yeh lamba safar,
Maa ke sahare woh ud paayi hai..
Khwabon ka shehar,
Yeh gehri dagar,
Khil ke kali se,
mehka sa woh phool,
banke sab pe chaai hai..
