Three days have went by since Avery left the small town of Forks, trading it for the small town of Mystic Falls and Dakota is going through it.
Yes, Avery called him everyday, atleast a few times a day but he misses having the girl in his arms. He could hear how tired and drained she is over the phone when she calls him.
She sounded especially tired and drained after her first meeting with Bonnie even if things are better now.
Sheila's funeral was today and the male wishes that he could be with Avery right now but sadly he was stuck in Forks. He was tired of Forks, more so Sam and his little brothee Jacob.
The male rolles his eyes as he listens to Jacob go on and on about Isabella.
"Boy, shut the fuck up." Dakota deadpans gruffy causing the shorter male to frown as he stopped talking while Billy sighs as he gives his older son a look.
He then glances over at his younger son that looked like a kicked puppy and had nearly rolled his eyes. "Dakota," he says causing the taller male to groan.
"Jacob needs to understand that Isabella isn't into him the way that he's into her." Dakota states firmly. He couldn't nor will he beat around the bush. Jacob is young but he's not entirely stupid, he should be able to tell that the girl didn't like him in the way that he did. She only wanted the attention he gave her. She liked the way that ge followed her around like a damn lost puppy.
She didn't care for him at all because if she did then she wouldn't play with him and his emotions like this.
All she did was lead him on when she's obviously not into him. And Jacob was eating it up like it was his favorite damn cereal.
"Plus he's 15 and she's 18." Dakota adds causing Jacob to purse his lips before he looked down at his hands.
He knew that his brother was right and that's what hurts.
Plus, he's suppose to be smarter than this as Avery taught him better.
He slumps down as his mind went onto the girl that he barely messaged back at all now, too consumed with Isabella and he see's exactly just how messed up and stupid he's being.
The boy didn't even open her messages, he felt guilty and became the person he promised her that he wouldn't become, just because of a girl.
He broke his promise.
"Where's Avery?" He mumbles causing Billy and Dakota to look over at the male as this was the first time he's asked about since Isabella came back. He used to ask about Avery all the time, wondering if or when the girl would come over but that stopped when Isabella was brough up.
Dakota squints his brows at his younger brother. Had he came to his senses? Was he finally seeing that he was being dumb now?
If so, then that's good but he better not be asking for Avery to ramble to her of his so called love for Isabella.
That wasn't love. He was just desperate for the love of a woman.
His mother died when he was young and when she died, his older sisters checked out. They barely interacted with anyone, causing Jacob to grow more closer to his older brother, Avery and his dad.
And the moment they were able too, his sisters left Forks with a measly goodbye and hadn't looked back.
They called, one more than the other but that was it.
Rachel was the one that called more and that was once a week but she mostly was studying. Rebecca called on Holidays not even on birthdays.
She had gotten married and told all her family only after the wedding. She didn't invite any of them, not even her twin.
She also barely answered calls and they found out that she had a baby whom is almost one years old not too long ago.
Her excuse was that she somehow forgot to mention it.
It was safe to say that the Black family only spoke to Rachel even if she called only once a week and the call would last less that three minutes but it was better than her calling on just Holidays. Unlike her twin, when she called she told them what was going on in her life even if was not much.
But the only actual sisterly figure that Jacob has was Avery.
"She isn't in town," Dakota says with an frown on his lips and Jacob furrowed his brows. "Since when?" He asks. "Since 3 days ago," the wolf replies as watched as Jacob's face falls.
He's been so caught up in Isabella that he didn't even know nor notice that the girl was gone.
She must be so disappointed in me right now, he thinks to himself as he tried to not curl up into a ball and sob his eyes out.
He hated disappointing Avery.
"Her grandmother died and she had to leave for the funeral which is today," the older Black sibling adds and Jacob feels even worse.
He felt utterly stupid and realizes at the same time that what he felt for Bella is far from love. "I think she still messaged you even if she knew you wouldn't reply," Dakota added and Billy him a look that he ignored.
He's doing what needed to be done and it's not like he was lying.
Avery did still message Jacob, asking if he was okay, if he needed food or just a hug. She knew he was distracted and it was okay to her but she did wish that he would have messaged her back at some points. All she wanted was to make sure that Jacob's okay.
"O-oh," the boy mumbles before he left the livingroom quickly and rushes into his own room, scrambling around for his phone.
Billy sighs and looks over at Dakota with a frown. "Don't give me that look, dad." The male grunts out. "He needed to hear it," he adds and the wheelchair bounded male continued staring at his son.
"Was the part about the messages true?" He asks and Dakota makes a face at that. Why would he lie about that? "Yeah, that was true. I have to no reason to lie," the male replies.
Meanwhile Jacob sat in his room, head laying against the pillow that Avery had gotten him as he read the messages that she left him with tears streaming down his face.
He really messed up and was going to do his best to make it up to Avery.
Avery stood next to Bonnie, the younger Bennett clinging to the other girl as she sobbed. The older teen had teen flowing down her cheeks, her dad near them as as he tried holding his tears back.
They along with a few others watch as Sheila's casket is lowered into the hole.
At first, Avery and Bonnie got on with a rough start, especially when the younger teen explained what happened to cause Sheila's death.
But when that was sorted, shit started up again when Avery spoke up about Elena. The more she heard about that girl, the more she's realizing that Elena wasn't a friend.
Of course Bonnie defended her friend as much as could, going as far as attacking Avery. The chubby teen had waved her father off as Bonnie threw weak hits as sobs wreacked her body.
Deep down, she knew that Avery's right about Elena and that hurts.
She didn't hurt Avery, no, she couldn't as she wasn't throwing actual punches too caught up in her thought, going over all the that teen had told her about her best friend before she broke down in Avery's arms.
Everything that Avery said about Elena was true. The girl hadn't messaged her about her Grams, texting once but only to say that Damon was going through a rough time and blah blah blah as if the Bennett teen gave a fuck about the man that hurt Caroline and tried hurting her a few times.
Not once had Elena mentioned a thing about Sheila, even when Bonnie told her what happened.
And now, the Gilbert teen hadn't shown up to the funeral neither.
Both Caroline and Jeremy did come to the funeral though along with a few classmates, some that Bonnie barely spoke too came and even gave her their condolences.
Yet her so called best friend couldn't be bothered to show up.
Bonnie had told Caroline ans Jeremy everythinh with the okay from Avery and Ayiden since the two deserved to know. Especially with what Damon did to Caroline.
When Bonnie brought up telling them to Elena, she shut it down instantly having Stefan to back her up. The two making it seem like she was trying to drag them in this shit show when she just wanted to prepare them. Both teens were pissed off and understandably so but were glad that atleast Bonnie wanted to tell them about the horrors of the town.
After she told them, them made plans to leave Mystic Falls. Caroline was going to stay with her aunt who was more than okay with Jeremy tagging along.
Did Elena know? Not yet.
Bonnie would tell her today but she was leaving Mystic Falls after the funeral.
That's why she told Caroline and Jeremy everything before today because she will not have the time to do so today.
She had already blocked Elena after she sent her a long message this morning.
There was no going back, not that she'd want too.
[Avery's dress, heels, hair and nails. She and Bonnie are kind of matching with the dress so picture something similar for her.]
When Sheila's casket was finished being lowered, Bonnie's grip on Avery tightens as she fully realized that their Grams is gone.
"It'll be okay," Avery mumbles softly to the teen as Ayiden eyes them with a sad smile on his lips. "That I can promise," the slightly darker teen added and the youngest Bennett believed her.
Isabella was annoyed, Avery hadn't been to school and neither had Edward.
She knew of her dad's relationship with another man, she didn't care, though she was surprised that he moved on from her mom which she didn't expect for atleast a few more years.
But she was over the moon when told exactly who her dad was dating.
Avery's dad, which practically made the two of them family now. She didn't need Angela and Jessica anymore because she now had a sister.
Why would she need friends? Maybe she will finally invite Isabella to sleepovers.
They'll grow closer and closer and soon she'll become the most important person in Avery's life. They'll be one big happy family.
She was told that Avery left town but she wasn't told why even though she asked a few times. Worse of all, her father talked to her about her behaviour towards her sister. Saying that she needed to back off and though she wanted to argue with his words, she just nodded her head.
Will she listen to him? No. Who was he to tell her to stay away from Avery? He should be happy that she wanted to get along with the girl no?
Angela and Jessica basically ignored her and also seemed to know why Avery is gone yet won't tell her, no matter how many times she asks. She asked for the girl's number and they won't give it to her neither, nor would Eric or Mike.
Which was surprising because she had thought the two males liked her and at one point, they did but things changed.
The entire town now knew of Charlie and Ayiden, though Charlie didn't tell many people. But everyone was good with it, none really liked Charlie's ex wife too.
Isabella has been trying to find out more about Avery by asking around stopped as people started eyeing her weirdly.
Right now, she sat in her room, her eyes glued to her phone as she looked through Avery's instagram.
There were many pictures posted by her of her and her boyfriend along with her and her friends as well and Isabella can not wait until she was posted too.
She's sure that her old friend won't find her and try to turn Avery against her.
While Bonnie, Avery and Ayiden were boarding the plane, Jeremy and Caroline sat with an confused Elena.
The two had told her that they needed to talk and of course she brought Stefan in as well even when they said that it was private.
So obviously Caroline and Jeremy were not happy with the guest.
Stefan sat near his girlfriend, his arm wrappes around her just as Jenna walks in, arching a brow at the sight of the four teens.
"Everything okay?" She asks them with worry causing both Jeremy and Caroline to nod before they then asked her to join them. Though still confused, the woman sits down with them as Elena pursed her lips in thought.
What could this be about?
Where was Bonnie?
She hadn't checked her phone today as she was too busy with Stefan. She notice the dark attire that her brother and her friend wore. Why were they wearing it? She had no idea but maybe they'll tell her.
"You've been a horrible friend and also an horrible sister and niece," Caroline states suddenly as she looked Elena in her eyes as they widen in disbelief and hurt. Her heart ached at the words her own friend said to her, confusion was the main thing she felt right now.
Why was Caroline saying these things to her?
Jenna and Stefan both eyed Caroline in surprise at her words while Jeremy tries to bite back a smile. "B-but why would you say that?" Elena asks as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Because Elena," Jeremy starts off and everyone's eyes fell onto him, surprised that he agreed with Caroline's words.
But Jenna stayed silent because they obviously knew somethinh that she didn't know.
"Why didn't you tell us what Stefan and Damon are?" Jeremy asks and watches as the colour drained from Elena's face as Stefan stiffened. He eyes the two with furrowed brows, now on edge, trying to figure out how they knew.
Both were compelled, so how did they know??
"Why didn't you tell all of what Damon had done to me?" Caroline questions her so called friend whose eyes widened in surprise at that.
How did the blonde know? Damon had compelled her. Not even Bonnie knew the full story.
She looked over at Stefan who too seem just as shocked and surprised as her, so he didn't know what the fuck happened neither. And the male was sure that his brother didn't remove the compulsion.
"Why did you make me forget what had really happened to Vicki?" Jeremy asks. "And why did you not say anything to Bonnie about her Grams? Why didn't you go to the funeral today?" Caroline adds.
The questions only made Elena more confused but she bit her lip, unable to really answer and felt guilt pool into her stomach realizing that she missed the funeral.
"What are Stefan and Damon?" Jenna asked and Elena and Stefan tried to get the others to not say anything but that didn't work. "Vampires," Caroline says. "Stefan and Damon are both over one hundred years old, they have this thing were they compell people, able to make them do anything they please. Did you know that Damon fed from me and used my body over and over for his pleasure? Did you know that he compelled me to do everything he wanted and that Elena knows?" Caroline says to Jenna whose shocked from the words she's hearing.
She didn't want to believe, not at first when the blonde said vampires but she could tell that Caroline wasn't lying.
Not with the tears in her eyes, not with the way her voice shook and cracked as she spoke.
That kind of pain couldn't be faked and Caroline wouldn't lie about something as serious as this.
Jenna felt her heart go out to the teen as she stared at the blonde. How could both Stefan and Elena know but let Damon go without any consequences??
"Vicki didn't leave town," Jeremy states and Jenna furrowed her brows at the boy's words. "She was turned into an vampire and was killed, something that Elena knew and she had Damon compell me to forget and think that she left." The male adds.
Elena felt her heart drop to her ass, her mind a mess. How did they know all of this?? That wasn't possible.
"Elena have been lying this entire time! And Bonnie wanted to tell us but Elena said no, saying some bullshit about her protecting us!" Caroline exclaims loudly as she glared at her so called friend who flinches.
This wasn't suppose to happen.
"Well, she sure did a shit job at it," the Gilbert male scoffed out because Elena didn't protect them. Not at all. "And we only know all of this because Bonnie told us and her uncle did some spell to take away the compulsion," he adds and Elena and Stefan gulped at that.
Though they were surprised that Bonnie had an uncle. She didn't tell them.
And why would Bonnie tell them when Elena told her not too? How could she betray her like this?
Caroline then handed Jenna a necklace and the woman took it with shaky hands seeming to be too overwhelmed by what was being said right now.
"W-what's this?" She mutters. "It's been spelled by Bonnie's uncle. It'll help you and only you can take it off," Caroline says, not telling her entirely what the necklace could do. Not wanting to say it infront of Elena and Stefan.
But she'll tell the older woman or maybe Jeremy will when Elena nor any of the Salvatores are around.
"Where's B-Bonnie?" Elena asks as she finally finds her voice and the three on the other couch rolled their eyes at her. The fact that she wasn't even saying a thing about what Jeremy and Caroline said annoyed them. Why won't she try and give an excuse? Not that they'd even believe her but she could say something. "Gone, she's leaving Mystic Falls and so am I." Caroline states, causing Elena's breath to hitch.
The only witch she had was gone? Her best friend left her and without even a goodbye??
Wait a minute.
"You're leaving too?!" Elena exclaims as she stared at Caroline in shock and the blonde nods before she looked over at Jenna. "My aunt says that if it's okay with you, Jeremy can come as well," she adds and Elena felt her mouth drop as Jenna bit down on her bottom lip.
Her niece stares over at the red head, hoping that her aunt wasn't actually thinking about this.
But Jenna is. Jeremy didn't need to be caught up in this supernatural shit. She remembered when her sister told her stories about vampires but she thought it was just that. Stories.
Oh how wrong she was.
She couldn't believe that Elena just kept this all to herself.
Jenna looks over at Jeremy who is already looking at her. "Do you want to go?" She asks and the male nods his head making Elena frown. "Then you can go," Jenna adds.
"But Aunt Jenna!" Elena exlaims in utter disbelief at her words. Was she actually serious right now? "Don't," Jenna states firmly and Elena shuts up as Stefan just looked between them all unsure if he should speak up or not. "Jeremy's going and that's final." She added.
Caroline then handed a letter to the woman, causing her to furrow her brows in confusion. "I was told to give this to you by Bonnie's cousin," she says and Jenna nods her head slightly as she takes the letter.
She'll read it later because it was only obviously for her to see if it was given to her and not told to Caroline or Jeremy. "Okay, thank you," she says softly.
"Go start packing, Jere." Jenna adds and kisses the boy's forehead gently. "Okay, Aunt Jenna," he replies before he got up from his seat and leaves the room. "Care where did Bonnie go?" Elena asks the blonde shrugs. Though she infact does know. "Care, please stay," the Gilbert teen then pleads and Caroline rolls her eyes. "Hell no," she spat out as she got up from her seat and saying her goodbyes to Jenna before she left inorder to pack her stuff too.
Jenna put the necklace on and looks at the letter before she too got up and left the livingroom, heading to her room.
Leaving a shock, surprised and confused couple behind.
