"hey look it's hoco week !"

"ARE YOU READY FOR HOCO WEEK?"

evan asked as aj, cj, evan and i were shopping for this upcoming week and i laughed.

"no, i've still gotta make a tutu just to piss off mrs.carna."i laughed,, and the three girls laughed.

we were at walmart trying to find stuff to win this weeks spirit week, and to go with the themes.

we had class color day and ours were yellow while the boy's were green because they were all seniors.

go figure right?

then we had hawaii day on tuesday, usa day on wednesday, recreate an old photo from when you were younger on thursday and then school colors friday.

so far, i had class colors, usa day, and hawaii day covered.

now i just needed to get something for the photo day.

hell i needed to pick out a photo still.

so i started to search through my camera roll, and gasped when i found a photo of preston and i when we first met.

we were sitting at nana's house outside at her picnic table that she had outside, and we were grinning at the camera.

i immediately dialed his number, telling the girls i'd be right back.

he picked up, and i could hear him laughing making me smile a little, "hey b, what's up?"

"do you have anything for thursday yet?"i asked, and i heard silence for a moment before he answered, "no why?"

"i've got an idea."

HOMECOMING WEEK WENT OFF LIKE WILDFIRE THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL AND EVERYTHING WENT AMAZING.

but there was one day i was waiting for.

thursday.

and it finally came.

i was at preston's house since i had slept over with all the stuff i needed for today in my bag.

i had a white dress on with a bow in the middle, the blades i had found in a box somewhere in my room, and an aircast for my leg that i duck taped bright pink.

my hair was left natural, and i didn't have makeup on either.

preston wore a nice dress shirt, and a pair of jeans with sneakers.

"you ready?"he asked, looking at my attire, and i nodded.

needless to say, this whole entire week we had fun with hoco spirit days.

we grabbed our stuff before heading downstairs and saying bye to mama before getting into preston's truck and heading to school.

it was a short trip, and when we got inside, my jaw dropped at what our friend group was wearing.

barrett and aj had muddy clothes and mud all over them, making me laugh remembering the time uncle chris had taken us mudding before the four of us got into a mud fight.

evan had a one piece bathing suit ( with shorts of course ) three floaties, and a life jacket on. her hair was soaked and i couldn't stop laughing.

cj had a little mouse costume on that you'd see in the nutcracker, with her hair in a bunch of curlers, separated in two ponytail buns, and mouse ears. she had point shoes on, and tights.

hunter was decked out in seahawks stuff, recreating a photo from when he was like eleven and went to a seahawks playoff game.

finally, mikey was dressed as spider-man, and i laughed remembering the story that he told us last week about how his nickname when he was younger was spidey.

"well... i see that you dug up an old one."aj grinned, and i smirked.

"had to. wouldn't be standing without this friendship."i explained, and the four ( besides aj and barrett ) looked at us confused.

"when i was about five, and preston was seven, he was my first friend since kindergarten, and i only had one friend. we met at church after his mom introduced me to him, and that was it. we've been friends since."i explained, and everyone's mouths went into an o shape.

needless to say, that week was amazing and i was waiting for saturday.

yet preston hadn't asked me yet.

hell nobody had.

i just had to wait and see.
