๐๐“ ๐…๐Ž๐”๐‘.

Three months later.

"Yeah can I get some honey mustard?" A girl smacked her gum, looking at Jayda through the drive thru window.

"Have a great day." She replied, putting three honest mustard sauces in her bag.

"Can I get some sweet and sour sauce too?" The girl had a sly smirk on her face, and Jayda didn't pay much attention, giving her some more sauce.

"And some ranch." The girl added, and again, Jayda grabbed more sauces.

"Anything else?" She mumbled, becoming a tad bit agitated because she had a whole drive thru line to clear and it seemed as if the girl was playing in her face.

"Yeah. Stay the fuck away from Grandson you ugly ass bitch. He don't fucking want you." She snaked her neck a bit, and Jayda frowned in confusion.

"You want me to s-girl." She cut herself off, not even knowing why she was about to entertain yet another girl that had approached her over Von.

Within the last few months, Dayvon had began to gain some recognition in the city from songs that he was dropping, along with making a name for himself in the streets.

And with that popularity, came girls that threw themselves at him, and of course he entertained them. He'd come to love this new life.

He was making more money, meeting more connects, and getting more head than he'd ever thought he would. The hoes loved him.

It was beginning to frustrate Jayda because she could barely even recognize him anymore. He was starting to show her less and less attention, paying the most attention only when they were having sex which was very frequent.

It seemed like that was all that he wanted from her-sex. He allowed countless girls to disrespect her over him, instead of getting them in check. Yet, he still came home to her every night, pretending as if there was nothing wrong with his newfound actions.

She was growing tired of the new behavior, and she hoped this was just a phase because she missed her best friend. She missed him a lot. Seemed as if she barely knew him now.

Jayda stayed at work for another hour, before clocking out and leaving the establishment. She made it home within a half hour, her entire body sore as she unlocked the door.

She threw her purse on the table, heading back to the room she shared with Von, her face immediately frowning up after hearing moans come from the room.

She swung the door open, and Von, along with another girl's head snapped in her direction. Without thinking, she snatched the girl by her hair, beginning to throw her fist into her face.

Von's eyes widened, quickly raising from the bed and pulling his boxers up, grabbing ahold of Jayda's small body as she continued to fight the girl.

"Jayda stop. Baby let her go." He was able to remove the girl's hair from Jayda's grip, and Jayda lifted her foot, kicking her hard in her face, watching it pour blood.

"Bitch get out my fucking house! Dayvon get off of me." She struggled to remove herself from his grip, trying to get to the girl who was running out of the house with her clothes.

Once the front door shut, Von let Jayda go, and she pulled her hand back, slapping him hard across his face.

"In my bed Dayvon? Are you fucking kidding me? In the house that I'm paying the fucking bills in because you too busy wasting all your money on flashy clothes and shit? Are you serious?!" She yelled at him, and his jaw clenched, still able to feel the stinging sensation.

"Jayda it's not that s-."

"Not serious?! Von you was fucking some girl in our bed! You are so fucking embarrassing bro. Oh my god, you're so embarrassing." She began to cry, fed up with his actions as of lately.

She was so tired of him treating her as if he didn't even know her, when the truth was, he wouldn't have anything that he has without her.

He would've never made it to those studio sessions, and the ones that he was still going to, without her. He was wasting the little money that he was making on trying to impress the people around him, totally losing sight of priorities.

"I ain't know you would be home so early Jay. I'm sorry. That was disrespectful, I'm sorry." He moved her hands from her face, and she pushed him away from her.

"You not sorry Von because you keep doing it! You fucking all these girls, bringing them home to chill as if I'm not your fucking girlfriend. You are so embarrassing! Doing all this shit to impress these bitches who don't even know your real name." She pushed him again, and he let her, sighing.

"You wasting all this money on fucking Gucci clothes and shit, buy a fucking car or something! Help me with the bills or something Dayvon, damn. You said that once you started getting money we would move into somewhere better. You are doing a complete turn around in the opposite direction and you aren't even realizing it!" She scolded him, crying harder once his arms wrapped around her.

"I'll do better baby. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry Rain, look at me." He held her body close to his as she cried, now feeling bad.

"I'm sorry. I got you, okay? I got us. Ima get my shit together ma, I'm sorry." He wiped her face, and she sighed, sniffing her clogged nose.

"You promise?" She mumbled, falling for yet another lie. She couldn't see any bad in him. He was her entire heart, the only reason she was who she was.

"I promise."

Von used his key, unlocking the door to their house, which was an actual house-not an apartment-walking inside.

He had been able to move them into a two bedroom two bathroom house, as well as get them a car to share until he could afford to get another one.

He had been making a lot more money lately, along with the help of Jayda who used most of her checks to make sure they stayed afloat and on top of the new bills that came alone with their new house and car.

The first thing he did when he'd made his first twenty thousand dollar check, was put money down on this house for them, knowing that, that was all Jayda wanted.

"Hey baby. Are you okay?" Jayda walked away from the stove, currently making dinner for the two of them, seeing the mug on his face.

"Yeah. Watch out Jay." He stepped to the side, and she frowned at the obvious attitude that he had.

"Is something wrong? Did I do something?" She asked, following him to their room.

"Nah." He shortly answered, pulling his hoodie off after tossing his phone on the bed.

"Okay... well, I'm making shrimp Alfredo, I added fried chicken to it. I should be done by the time you finish washing up. And I got paid today, so I took care of some of the bills and went grocery shopping." She told him, hoping the news of his favorite meal being cooked cheered him up a bit.

"Aight." He responded, walking in the bathroom to take a shower. She could feel her heart crush just a bit, tears brimming in her eyes.

Even after he'd promised to do better, Dayvon was still the same as he was three months ago, the only difference being that he'd bought them a house and a car. He was still having sexual relations with multiple girls, still killing-something that Jayda still couldn't believe-and still being so unnecessarily disrespectful to her.

Dayvon didn't like being tied down to her. He felt like it was so much pussy in the world, and he was going to try as much of it as he could. It wasn't like he loved any of the girls he fucked, so it didn't matter to him. He only loved her, so he didn't understand why she was always tripping about the things he did.

She was so tired, but she just couldn't find the strength to leave him. She loved him, and she had no idea how to do life on her own.

He'd always been at her side, she couldn't even imagine being without him-so she just let him do what he pleased, as long as he came home to her and was still with her once he was done doing him.

She sat down at the bed, looking at his phone, wondering if she should even put that type of stress on herself right now.

Going against her better judgement, she picked up his iPhone 7 Plus, unlocking it with her fingerprint. She went to his messages, her heart breaking even further as she scrolled through his multiple conversations with different girls.

One in particular caught her eye, and she wasn't even sure how to react to it.

She sat the phone down, placing her face in her hands, trying not to cry as her leg began to shake in irritation.

She was so tired of everyone playing with her. And the one person who she expected to have her back, was continuing to fail her time after time.

Von walked out of the bathroom, walking over to her and leaning down to kiss her neck, pushing her to lay back on the bed.

"Cyncere get off of me." She pushed him off of her, and he frowned.

"What I do?" He grabbed her neck, attempting to kiss her lips, and she turned her head.

"What don't you do Von? What did I do to you? Why do you continue to treat me like this?" She mumbled, and he looked over at his phone that wasn't in the same position that he'd left it in, then back at her.

"You went through my phone Jay?" He asked, frowning at her.

"Why are you just laughing at these girls that talk about me Von? I would never allow anybody to play with your name in front of me, and you continuously allow me to be disrespected, and then you have sex with the same girls who do it to me." She spoke in her natural tone. She didn't even feel like yelling. Yelling got nowhere with him.

"Jayda I don't owe you nothing man. That's yo fucking problem. Stay out my phone and yo dumbass feelings wouldn't be hurt." He took his phone from the bed, and she frowned.

"You don't owe me nothing? Von I am not, and have never ever asked you for any fucking thing! I don't want anything from you but for you to love me and you can't even do that! After all I do for you, for us, and all I want in return is for you to love me. I just want you to love me Dayvon." Her voice cracked, pushing him out of her face.

"You always throwing up what you did for me in my face. Nobody give a fuck about that Jayda I bought you the damn house, I do love you. You the only person I love what the fuck is your dumbass talking about?" He mugged her, and she could feel her heart breaking even further.

"Von I don't care about this damn house. I lived in the fucking streets with you for years! We can go back to that and I wouldn't give a damn as long as I have you! I don't know why you keep doing me like this man all I've ever been is good to you." She stood up, looking up at him.

"Good? Girl you using me for my fucking money stop fronting and be straight up with me." He frowned at her, and an instant mug graced her face.

"Do you hear yourself? Using you-for money?! Von all my fucking money goes to you and your fucking dreams. Every damn dime that I have is yours and you know that. You act like you paying bills by yourself. I have never used you for money! I ain't ever even asked for a dollar from you Dayvon."

"You letting this fake ass rap life get to you. I been in your corner since day one. I pay for all the studio sessions, I help with bills, I cook every damn night for you whether you come home or not. I wash your clothes, I do your hair, I take care of you Dayvon! And all I have ever asked is for you to fucking love me!" She yelled at him, becoming frustrated.

"Why do you keep saying that as if I don't fucking love you?! Get the fuck out my face man." He attempted to walk past her, and she blocked his way.

"Dayvon tell me what to do. What do I have to do so that we can go back to before? Back when it was just me and you. Tell me and I'll do it. Please." She held his face, searching through his expression.

"Please just tell me. I will do whatever. I just want you back. I want you back Dayvon, tell me what to do." She softly cried, so overwhelmed with how he was treating her.

"Baby tell me, please." She wrapped her arms around his neck, tears flowing down her face as he she held him, not even caring that he was hugging her back. She loved him so much, and she missed when he loved her too.

"Nothing. I'm leaving Jayda. Watch out." He pulled her back, and she frowned.

"Leaving? Leaving where?" She blocked his path again, and he groaned in frustration.

"I got a deal down in Atlanta. I'm leaving. Now move."

"You're l-leaving me here? What?" Her voice cracked, looking in his eyes that held little emotion.

"You a' be good. Cause apparently you handle everything by yourself anyways. Youn need me." He moved her out of the way, walking past her.

"Von you're leaving me by myself? I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? I won't complain anymore I just-just don't leave me, please? I will do better baby but I can't do this without you. I can't live without you, please don't leave me." She cried, grabbing ahold of his arm, and he snatched from her grip.

"You embarrassing yourself Jayda. Chin up girl." He chuckled, walking out after grabbing his car keys.

As soon as the door shut, Jayda broke down, crying as hard as she'd ever cried in her entire life.
