Mayank's POV

Mahi hadn't come out of her room since she'd been discharged, meaning she hadn't left her room for over a week now. I was starting to get worried, I decided to pay her a visit.

"Mahi?" I mustered up my courage and knocked on her door, there was no response.

"Mahi, you okay?" I tried again, and yet again her stillness gave no token. 

"Mahi, please-" I started but the door creaked open, Mahi sniffled. Her eyes were puffy and red, and she was still slightly pale. Her eyes were churning with a turmoil of emotions, I could see fear still lurking behind it all.

"Mahi, you alright?" I gently held her hand, and she flinched. I noticed the ring she was wearing, a sense of dread crept up my spine. I let her hand go, and cleared my throat awkwardly.

That's the ring that I helped Mayu buy for the proposal

"I'm fine," She croaked and moved to slam the door on my face, but I held the door open.

"You're not." I was stubborn, and let myself in. I saw in the trash can there rip photos, and her room was an utter mess. It looked like someone had swept a tsunami inside along with a hungry tiger. I heard Mahi wince, I turned around to see her nursing her wounded leg.

"We need to get that checked," I pulled her by the wrist, and dragged her over to the other medic in camp. I ignored the odd looks I was receiving and took her to our medic.

"Just leave me alone," She lashed out at me, and I was startled. She gave me the middle finger and stalked off.
