My eyes flew open, and I gasped for air. Adrenaline was coursing through my veins, I couldn't feel the left side of my body. The light blinded me, and spots danced in my eyes. I kept myself calm, understanding what was going on. My brain had finally processed what had happened. A waterfall of memories came rushing back to me, the sickening shattering sound of glass and the breaking of metal.

Then, a single thought brought me back to reality.

Mayank,

I stood up, and looked around, I saw Mayank Markande fast asleep. But he wasn't the Mayank I was looking for. I forced myself to stand back up, I stumbled at first. My legs felt like lead. A doctor spotted me, and rushed to my side.

"I... I was admitted with a person-" I stuttered, my brain moving at a sluggish pace. The doctor gave me a sympathetic look.

"Come with me," She ushered me back into the room, but on our way, we passed people wheeling a hospital bed. There were burns on the person's face, and something struck me as familiar. Whoever it was, had a silver ring.

Only when I was back in the room did I notice what I found familiar,

The ring the person was wearing belonged to Mayu...

Mayank... he's... he's

"Gone," I whispered, and started to sob.
