Unfortunately, I couldn't get the most of my sleep because today was Monday, which meant school. Not like my mother made it any better either.

"Miss James! You must make haste!" My mom exclaimed walking up the stairs. Kill me now. She had been watching this period drama on TV and now she won't stop talking with an English accent. I had put my pillow on top of my head with the intention of drowning any and all sounds within my vicinity. Some plan that was.

"I know you heard me." My mom said as she barged into my room. "I heard no such thing." I grumbled from under the pillow. My mom yanked the pillow out of my hands that was on top of my head. "Oh come on." I whined. "You need to come on and get in the shower so you can go to school." She retorted.

I sat up in a crisscross applesauce position and leaned my head on my hand. I rubbed over my eyes in exhaustion before looking at my mom. "Pancakes?" I questioned. "You know it kid. Now up and at em, don't wanna be late." She answered before making her leave and closing the door. Time for jail.

I made my bed then picked out my clothes and got in the shower. (A/N: outfit above)

I brushed my teeth, put on my clothes, and grabbed my backpack with all of my stuff in it before running downstairs. I looked at the time and saw that I had 5 minutes before Caroline got here. I hurriedly ate my pancakes and drank my water and put the dirty plate and cup in the sink. As I was washing my hands, I heard a car honk from outside and instantly knew it was Caroline.

"Mom, Caroline's here, I'm gonna head out!" I yelled from the kitchen. "Alright kiddo be safe I love you!" She yelled back. "Love you too!" I told her before grabbing my bag making sure everything was in there including my phone and all of my books. Everything seemed to be in place so I zipped it up and hauled it over my shoulders before walking out the door. I closed it behind me and saw Caroline waving at me through the window with a smile in her face.

I opened the backseat door to put my backpack in the back before closing it and heading to the passengers side. "Hey sexy." I smiled at her. "Hey Care. How's everything going with Matt?" I asked her looking at her while she stared straight ahead, starting the car. "Awkward. I mean he won't even look at me, and I can't tell him what I've been lying to him about because then he really won't look at me. I just-I just don't know what to do." She ranted to me.

"How about a grand gesture. Really show him that you're serious about this relationship."

"Mira, I told you, he won't even look at me!"

"Make him. You're Caroline fucking Forbes! He still doesn't appreciate you, you drop his ass. I don't even know if he'd be able to handle the supernatural, or the fact that all of us are supernatural beings. If he finds out, he finds out, we'll cross that bridge when we get there, but right now, he has no idea. So get off your ass, stop moping around, and go get your man back. Now, repeat after me, I am Caroline fucking Forbes and I've got this."

"I am Caroline fucking Forbes and I've got this."

"Uh uh what was that? I'm gonna need you to do better. Try again."

"I am Caroline fucking Forbes and I've got this!"

"Hell yeah you do!" I exclaimed after her while smiling proudly. I just wanted Caroline to be happy, she's been through enough already. I think she just needs a breather and a time to relax.

"You know I love you right?"

"Yes Care, I do. I love you too. Your my sister from another mister."

We both got out of the car to walk into the school. Caroline told me that she'd talk to me later as she walked over to Matt who was hanging up posters. I saw Bonnie walking around and I ran up to her and hugged her. I had known that her powers were taken by Luka's father. I wanted to show her my support. Her and Caroline were going through some issues of their own, and all I could do was be there for them.

"You need anything from me?" I asked her in concern as we both pulled away from the hug. "No. If there was, you'd be the first I'd tell." She sighed. Her eyes had held sadness and despair. I know that this hurt her on another level. You get accustomed to the magic and using it, you get attached. I know that it being taken away from her, is something else entirely, she just won't tell anyone that. Before I could say anything though Stefan and Jeremy walked up to us. They informed us that Katherine was out of the tomb.

"She's out of the tomb?!" Bonnie whispered.

"Yeah, we're dealing with it, all right? Just be extra careful. She's getting a little too good at impersonating Elena." Stefan warned.

"With Katherine still around, we gotta find a way to get your powers back." Jeremy said looking at Bonnie.

"Right now, I'll handle that part. Bonnie needs a break." I informed them.

"Listen, I want to get the Martins on our side. I want to figure out a way for us all to work together now that Elijah's out of the picture." Stefan said while looking at Bonnie and I back and forth.

"That's not gonna work and you know it." I shook my head.

"It's impossible. They hate us." Bonnie agreed.

"It's either win them over or somebody's going to end up dead. You think you can at least convince them to have a civil conversation?" Stefan asked Bonnie.

"I'll try." Bonnie stated.

"I'll come. I can't let her or you risk your lives." I told Stefan sternly.

"Thanks. Keep me posted." Stefan said to us before he started walking away. I gave my goodbyes to Bonnie and Jeremy before following after Stefan.

"When we meet up with the Martins later, what if things go wrong? I'm not letting anything happen to either of you, especially Bonnie. She's vulnerable now that she doesn't have her powers." I asked him as we walked along side each other.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to her or you. If that's what it comes to, I know that you and I can handle it."

"Alright. I'll text her to ask them if we can meet at the grill. Hopefully they care about human life enough not to endanger them."

"Alright you do that. For now, we've got to get to class." He said before we walked into the classroom and sat by each other.

I had ordered my nachos and lemonade as all three of us sat there and waited for the Martins to arrive. As I shoved a nacho into my mouth, the Martins walked through the door. Bonnie playfully hit my shoulder as I quickly swallowed down the nacho and moved to stand up along with Bonnie and Stefan.

"Thank you for coming." Stefan said as Luka and Jonas walked over to us.

"I didn't want to. But my son made a case to hear you out." Jonas quipped before he and Luka sat on the opposite chairs that were in front of us.

"Bonnie said that you have information about Elijah." Luka said while looking at all three of us. Bonnie and I looked at Stefan, gesturing that he be the one to break the news.

"Elijah's dead. I'm sorry." Stefan sighed before he told them casually. I closed my eyes and mentally face palmed. I mean he could've went about that better. He just said it so casually and nonchalantly. Bonnie looked up nervously and Jonas stood up abruptly. He looked angry at the declaration.

"Hear me out. We can help you. Please." Stefan said softly with his hand on Jonas's shoulder attempting to ease his nerves. Jonas slowly sat down along with Stefan following his action and sitting down back in his chair along with him.

"We know that Klaus has your kid." I stated before looking at Luka and then back at Jonas. "Well. Your other one..." I corrected awkwardly.

"I'm sorry about the way I had to get that information, but it's good that we know. We can all work together to get her back." Bonnie chimed in.

"How?" Luka questioned.

"I suspect that you and Elijah had a plan to kill Klaus. I'll just help you carry it out. You can trust us. I give you my word. We all do." Stefan answered.

"We can help, you just have to let us." I stated as Jonas had been contemplating his decision and Luka had been eyeing Bonnie.

โ•šโ•โ•เฎ“เน‘โ™กเน‘เฎ“โ•โ•โ•

The Martins are somewhat resourceful, I'll give them that. They had divulged that they hadn't had a weapon to kill Klaus. They believed that if a witch could channel enough power, they wouldn't need a weapon. The witch would be one. The burial ground where the massacre of a hundred witches were killed, had held a lot of power. Since Bonnie didn't have her powers and I felt that she shouldn't take all this on by herself, I was elected the witch to be able to do it.

Right now, I was at home with my parents. I didn't really want to join Bonnie and Caroline at Elena's house. I just feel like it's awkward. Much like this conversation I'm having with my parents right now.

"Amira, you can't ignore him for forever. He's been calling you for weeks. He loves you."

"Yeah mom, I get that. I just don't want to talk to him right now. Every time I think we're going good, he always ends up interrogating or lecturing me. I've got enough on my plate right now."

"Alright, I get it. Just...just please call him at some point so he can stop blowing up our phones about you. He's very persistent and stubborn."

"Wonder where he got that from."

"He definitely got it from your dad."

"You know he got it from her."

"Ohh yeah. Definitely." I retorted before I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. I looked at callerย  ID to see it say Steven.

"Mira!" Stefan groaned in pain on the other end of the line.

"Stefan, what the hell is going on? What's wrong?"

"Jonas. He's going after Elena. Luka's dead." He panted.

"She's with Bonnie and Caroline. Call Elena, ask her where they are and text me. I'm getting my stuff." I told him before hanging up and looking at my parents who looked concerned.

"You need our help?" My dad asked.

"No. You taught me better than that. I need to get my stuff." I told them before I turned around getting ready to get my stuff until my forearm was grabbed.

"Hey." My dad stopped me as I turned around to look at him.

"Be careful. You need us, call us. Don't do anything stupid that could get you killed."

"Yeah." I nodded before trying to walk away, but he tightened his grip.

"Amira, I'm serious. I want you back here alive. You understand me?"

"Yes Dad. I got it." I nodded before he let my arm go and kissed me on the forehead before I ran upstairs and started to get ready. As I was getting my stakes and all of my gadgets I felt a buzz in my pocket. I hastily grabbed the phone out of my pocket to see the text was from Steven.

They were at the Grill.

โ•šโ•โ•เฎ“เน‘โ™กเน‘เฎ“โ•โ•โ•

I met with Elena and Stefan inside the grill and we made our way to the bathroom. Caroline had been in there smiling at the mirror longingly, as if she had been reliving a good dream. She saw us and she turned around to look at our faces. Elena with fear, Stefan with fear also, and me with just a blank expression.

"Hey!" Caroline exclaimed.

"We've got a new problem on our hands." I told her.

"What's going on?"

"Jonas is here and he's after Elena." Stefan informed her. Caroline looked at us with an appalled expression while taking in the new information.

"Oh, my god!"

"We have a plan, but I need to get Elena out of here."

"Well, what can I do?" Caroline asked wanting to help out in any way that she could for the sake of her friends safety.

"Alright here's the plan so listen..." I trailed off before explaining to her what she was going to do. Caroline and I had to sneak attack Jonas while Stefan and Elena would call Jonas out to catch him off guard. Obviously Jonas was going to have some tricks up his sleeve, since he is a witch. I had to be there to ensure that Caroline wouldn't get killed.

The grill had been complete chaos. People were running around screaming in panic. There was a fire that had transpired and there was a bunch of broken glass everywhere. Caroline and I had been waiting amongst the crowd for Elena's shout to Jonas.

"Dr. Martin! I'm so sorry about Luka. I never wanted that to happen but...at least let us help you get your daughter back." Elena pleaded.

"Only Elijah can do that." He countered.

"You don't need Elijah." Elena told him before he set another countertop ablaze with fire while more people started to scream. While Jonas had been looking elsewhere I kicked him in the back of one of his legs and attempted to get on to his back. The operative word being attempt, considering a few seconds after I was flown across the grill and my back collided with the shelf that had a bunch of alcohol stocked. The bottles shattered on impact and the shards had been lodged into my back.

I groaned in pain and hissed at the throbbing feeling that took over the entirety of my back. I grabbed onto a counter to try and gain my balance. I heard Caroline screaming in agony after. I was going to hobble over until I saw Matt coming and yelling her name. Matt then pushed Jonas and told him to get away from Caroline. Jonas stabbed him in the neck with a broken glass bottle and Caroline screamed.

Jonas then walked away before Caroline rushed over to Matt and was hovering over him. She showed him her vampire face as she fed him her blood. She then turned around to see me holding onto a counter and rushed over to me.

"You have to drink it Amira."

"I don't really know if I want to."

"Please. I just need to know that you'll be okay and you'll be healed."

"Fine." I sighed before she held up her wrist and had me drink her blood. The metallic taste was disgusting and vile. Drinking it is not as fun when you aren't a vampire. I wiped my mouth after that was over and she had to speed me to Elena's house. The night wasn't over yet and I knew that Jonas was going to stop there. He was going to try and get to Elena. As much as I don't like her, I love Stefan and he loves her, therefore, I'll help out.

Jeremy and Bonnie were sitting at the table talking, and I walked over to them. Caroline had sped off once she knew I was safe so she could go help Matt. I had gotten there after Stefan and Elena had.

"Mira!" Bonnie exclaimed as she ran over to hug me. Stefan had followed her shortly after and looked me over.

"What's up?"

"Mira, are you okay? When did you get here? There's blood all over you." Stefan asked me in concern.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. I just got here. Caroline healed me before she sped me over here as quick as she could." I informed him as he nodded. He then turned to Bonnie and Jeremy.

"When did you guys get here?"

"A few minutes ago." Bonnie answered.

"Did you check the house?" Stefan questioned.

"And why would we check the house?" Jeremy asked while raising his eyebrows in confusion.

"Caroline and I couldn't hold him off at the grill. He's coming here." I told them.

We then heard groaning and grunting coming from upstairs. We all rushed to see what all the commotion was. We all ran up the stairs and made our way into the bathroom to see Katherine standing over Jonas's body. She had blood smeared all over her mouth as she licked her lips.

"You're welcome." She said as she looked at Stefan. We all looked down at Jonas's body, and clearly the man was dead. He had to be. He was lying on the floor like a bag of rocks.

"You didn't have to kill him!" Bonnie exclaimed as she was bent over Jonas while looking at Katherine.

"Yes, we did." Katherine stated looking back at Bonnie. Bonnie just turned back to look at Jonas's dead body somberly before she bent down to close his eyes. He sprung back up and grabbed Bonnie's head. She started to scream and the rest of us came rushing to pull them apart. Stefan then grabbed the back of Jonas's jacket and pulled him off of Bonnie. I hurriedly grabbed Bonnie by the arm and pulled her behind me.

Katherine held Jonas down with her foot as a precaution as we were all panting and looking at one another. Katherine and I made eye contact for a brief second before I looked away to look over Bonnie. She looked mortified, I just grabbed her by the shoulders and wrapped my arms around her.

โ•šโ•โ•เฎ“เน‘โ™กเน‘เฎ“โ•โ•โ•

Damon had came over to talk about what was currently going on and all of us were standing around in a circle. Well most of us, Bonnie had since gone home after what happened. The only people who had been in the circle were Katherine, Damon, Elena, Stefan, and I.

"How did you guys convince her to do this?" Elena asked.

"We didn't. It was actually her idea." Damon answered.

"Wow. That's...not good." Elena sighed.

"At least she did it." I shrugged. They all looked at me shocked that I sided with Katherine. I wasn't actually siding with her, I was just giving credit where credit was due.

"Everything's taken care of." Stefan told us as he walked down the stairs with Katherine trailing behind him.

"I'm guessing you're going to want this back." Katherine directed at Elena as she pulled the necklace off of her neck before she continued talking.

"But your pretty little outfit is going to need a good dry clean." She said as she held the necklace in her hand, dangling in the air. Elena walked up to her and snatched the necklace out of her hand before walking over back to Damon. Katherine smirked at her child like antics.

"You're going to have to get her out of here before Jenna gets home." Elena said while looking at Stefan, he nodded in response before Katherine piped back up.

"Is that all you have to say to me?"

"This doesn't change the way I feel about you."

"I don't much like you, either, if we're going to be open. And frankly, I'd be happy to see you dead, but if we're going to try to take on Klaus, we kinda need you to be alive. So I'm not a threat to you, Elena. If any of you are going to believe anything, believe that." She looked at Damon, Elena, and then me.

"We'll have to see it to believe it. I'm going home. Only call if it's an emergency like, someone's dying, or you all are getting attacked. I'll be back whenever I can, till then, ta ta." I told all of them before walking out the front door.
