A LOT CAN HAPPEN WHEN you've been busy thinking you saved the world. Vanya apparently returned to the Hargreeves mansion in hopes of forgiveness or something, so Luther locked her downstairs. Before that, Starr visited Allison to apologize for not being there when Vanya well... did that. So, leading up to current events, Starr ran upstairs after hearing one boom! that was without a doubt caused by Vanya.
Then, after making it upstairs, she met up with Five and they blinked out of there as soon as the next room blew up. Before the others knew, the entire place collapsed into just debris of the building they grew up in. While out of the house, they found out some news that they wish they didn't.
The world was still ending.
When the duo ran back to the Hargeeves mansion it was all burnt down to bricks. Five and Starr quickly ran over when they saw the others, "Guys!"
"This is it," Starr stated, but panted for breath signaling to Five. "Y'know... you can tell them."
Five rolled his eyes, "The apocalypse is still on — the world ends today."
"I thought you two said it was over," Luther stepped forward.
Five put up a newspaper and pointed to the date, "we were wrong, okay? This newspaper, I found it in the future the day I got stuck. The headline hasn't changed."
Diego shook his head, "No, that doesn't mean anything. The time could've been altered since that newspaper came out this morning."
"You're not listening to me," Five said. "When I found it, I assumed this place came down along with everything else. But here we are, the moon's still shining and the earth is in one piece... but not the Academy."
"I'm confused," Klaus muttered as he took the paper.
"Then listen to me, you idiot! Banana destroys the Academy before the apocalypse," Five sighed. "We thought Harold Jenkins was the cause, but he was the fuse, Vanya is the bomb—"
Starr stood up, "— Vanya causes the apocalypse!"
"I wanted to say that," Five groaned.
"We have to find them."

"LOOK, I HATE TO BE THE one to say this, but everyone needs to prepare," Luther stated. After fleeing from the scene of the destroyed Umbrella Academy, the gang met up at Super Star bowling. They were taking turns at bowling, so no one would get suspicious and now Starr was up — she was getting bored and immediately went back to the others.
Starr sighed, "Alright, someone else has gotta go and it's totally not 'cause I suck at bowling and I'm tired."
Diego turned to Luther, furrowing his eyebrows, "For what?"
"To do whatever it takes to stop Vanya."
Allison slapped Luther with her notepad for that. Honestly, Starr would've done the same — she's frankly had enough with Luther taking charge. She rolled her eyes, "Okay, sister-kisser."
Since the first time they met, their relationship has been a little up and down. Maybe it was him whining about the moon, maybe it was 'cause he was always rude to Vanya.
"Starr, this is serious," Luther stated and glared at Allison after her slap. "We may not have a choice, Allison."
"Bullshit, there's always options."
"Yeah, like what?" Five snapped.
Diego shrugged, "... I don't know."
"Look, whatever we decide, we need to find Vanya," Luther stood up. "And fast, okay? She could be anywhere."
Klaus and Starr shared a look after seeing something useful on the paper, "Or... here."
Klaus placed the newspaper on the table and the group all hovered over him. They saw Vanya's poster for her violin solo with the orchestra she plays with. Then, a woman who works there came forward ( yeah, they've been here a while ).
"Hello," the woman smiled. "I hate to intrude, but my manager says if you're not gonna bowl, you gotta leave."
They all turned to the manager who placed bowling shoes on the table with an annoyed look.
"Whose turn is it? Starr's already gone twice."
Luther sighed and took a ball himself, throwing it all the way to the pins. After, Allison wrote she's our sister on her notepad and signaled to it. Even after everything, at the end of the day, they were still family and after what happened all Allison wanted to do was talk to Vanya.
"We're the only ones capable of stopping this," Luther announced. "We have a responsibility to dad."
Diego turned, vexed, "To dad? No, I've heard enough about —"
"He sacrificed everything to bring us back together."
"I'm with Luther on this one," Five cut in.
Starr looked at him, shocked. Never did she think Five would be agreeing with Luther and that's how she knew the world was really ending.
Starr deadpanned, "Wow, I guess the world really is ending."
Five turned to her, "We can't give her a chance to fight back," he stated. "There are billions of lives at stake, we're past trying to save just one."
"Hey, you know, guys, uh... maybe I could help," Klaus spoke up.
"Now is not the time—"
"-No, let him finish," Diego snapped. "He saved my life today."
"Is that true?" Luther questioned.
Klaus stood up, "Yeah, yeah, I did... take credit for it. In fact, the real hero... was Ben."
They all furrowed his eyebrows at him. Klaus was always kinda... Klaus. When Starr was younger, Allison told her about everyone's powers and Klaus's was that could see the dead. Even though he never got her name right, he was still a nice guy and Starr assumes she's the only one who believes him. When he threw the bowling ball over Five and Starr's heads, it only landed on the ground and he proved nothing to none of them.
Worst part is, is that Luther was probably right for once.
Ew.
"Is there anyway to silence that voice in your head that screams out to be the center of attention?" Luther snapped.
Starr looked up at him with a smile, "Oh, like the one in yours?"
Diego snorted trying to hold back a laugh, but looked the other way once they all had their eyes on him. This meant one thing: Starr was right, they are gonna be friends ( maybe... hopefully? ).
"Thank you, Sarah," he signaled to Starr who at this point didn't care if he ever got her name right. "You know, I liked you a lot better before you got laid."
Luther widened his eyes and everyone turned to him in shock. Especially Allison who was now staring at the floor before giving him the side eye. Klaus was stuttering the whole time trying to make Luther feel better, but as soon as Allison rushed out, he trailed behind her
Just then, a woman came up to the remaining four with her son who had a bowling ball in his hand, "Excuse me, it's my son Kenny's birthday today, and... uh, wouldn't your son and daughter be happier playing with kids their own age? Assuming it's okay with your two dads."
Five and Starr turned to each other in disgust before turning back. He then looked up at the two, "I would rather chew off my own foot."
The two looked at him... disturbed, but then Starr cut in, "same here, but... nicer."
Both left in a hurry. Then, Five went to the where the bowling balls were lined up and pulled out a golden case from the Handler. Afterwards, he blinked out of the room.
