AS THE DAY WENT ON, STARR BECAME BORED OUT OF HER MIND. Having nothing to do withβ€” something she never thought she'd say being in this crazy house, but thankfully Luther walked up to her β€” something she never thought she'd say. Never in her short time here did she ever hope to see the sister kiss, but whatever helps her be free of boredom.

"Hey, sister kisser β€”"

Luther sighed, lowering his head and burying his face in his hands out of embarrassment, "Can you please stop," he lifted his head up with a groan as he walked up to the tween, "Anyway, it's about Grace β€”"

"Your robot mom?" Starr smiled, raising a finger up at him, "She's really nice," she went on, "I just had some of her egg," Starr sighed, remembering how good they were, "They were so good."

"I know," Luther chuckled, but then shaking his head to get back to the subject, "Anyway, we're having a family meeting and since you're technically family to Allison you're coming, but we need to get everyone else," Luther craned his neck behind him then looked in front of Starr before drifting his gaze back to her, "Have you seen Diego or Five?"

"No for Diego," she shook her head, "But Five said he was doing super secret spy stuff."

Luther raised an eyebrow, "Where?"

"Meritech Headquarters," Starr answered. "I've been there before with Five, so I can show you."

"Great, let's hurry up!"

β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…

STARR AND LUTHER WERE NOW WALKING DOWN THE STREET, FIRST FOLLOWED BY AN awkward cab ride with since the two didn't really wanna be there, but were forced to. As they walked down the street, Starr gave him the directions and then they actually started up a conversation β€” although, as soon as it got to somewhere good, Starr paid him five bucks to pretend like it never happened.

Finally, Starr spotted the van Five was using to get there in the alley this morning and tugged on Luther's jacket and he perked up to where Starr was pointing and sprinted over. When the duo got to the van, they peeked through the window and spotted Five frozen in his spot, staring out into the streets in front of him.

The two glanced at each other before Luther began knocking on the window and calling out his name, "Five!" He continued a second time, but nothing happened, "Five?"

Starr sighed, getting into the back of the van since she found the van was unlocked and leaned over on the two front seats, tapping on Five's shoulder, "Hey, Five!"

At that, Five snapped out of his daze and Luther joined them in the car. Though, with his height it was a bit of a struggle, "You okay?"

"How did you find me?"

Luther nodded his head to the backseat to Starr, who was greeted with a jump scare from Klaus hanging with the mannequin Delores, "Jesus, Klaus!"

"Hey, a little privacy, guys," Klaus turned his head to Starr and the others, "We're really hitting it off back here."

Five threw something at him. Thankfully, Starr dodged it before it could get her. This caused Klaus to let out a scream and Five wasn't happy, "Get out! You can't be here!"

"How are you even here?" Starr inquired, looking up and down at him, as he was still cradling the mannequin, "You were dumpster diving just this morning."

Klaus put up his hands making whimsical movements and bowing, "A magician never reveals his secrets," he then turned to five, leaning forward to the front seat, "Oh, speaking of secrets β€” any lucky finding your one-eyed man?"

"No."

"What's he talking about?" Luther inquired.

"Does it matter? It's Klaus," Five quipped.

Starr joined the guys up front, pushing Klaus to the side to give herself some room, "Presumably drunk," the statement getting a shrug from Five.

Five turned to Luther, "What to you want, Luther?"

"So, Grace may have had something to do with dad's death," Luther told his brother, "So I need you to come back to the academy, all right? It's important."

"It's important," Five mimicked his brother, "You have no concept of what's important."

"Hey! Did I ever tell you guys about the time I waxed my ass with chocolate pudding?" Klaus laughed at his story as the three knitted their eyebrows at him, "It was so painful."

Starr grimaced, turning her head to face him, "Why does that sound like something you'd do?"

"What are you still doing here?"

Klaus put a hand on his chest in fake offense, "what? I need an excuse to hang out with my family?"

"We're trying to have a serious conversation," Luther told him.

"What, and I'm incapable of being serious? Is that what you're saying?"

Five turned to face Klaus, "Luther's got a point, you should get out."

"Agreed," Starr added, "Maybe in the time of getting out you'll get my name right."

"What's there to get right, Sarah?"

Eventually, Klaus got out of the van, leaving Starr, Luther, Five and his mannequin. When Klaus shut the door, Luther turned to Five and knit his eyebrows, "What the hell are you up to, five?"

"You wouldn't understand."

"Try Me," Luther replied as he crossed his arms, "Last I checked, I'm still the leader of this family.

"Oh, I didn't know this family had leaders," Starr said in a sarcastic tone.

Five held in a snort, turning to his brother and keeping the cold exterior, "Well, last I checked I'm still twenty-eight years older than you."

"You know what your problem is? You think you're better than us," Luther stated, "You always have. Even when we were kids," Five sighed as Luther continued, "But the truth is, you're just as mussed up as the rest of us. We're all you have and you know it."

"I don't think I'm Better than you, Number One," Five said. "I know I am," Luther chuckled sarcastically, shaking his head and Five clicked his tongue, "I've done unimaginable things, things you couldn't even comprehend."

"Right."

Five sighed, "Just to get back to save you all."

Just as the car was starting to go quiet, Klaus ran out of the mini mart holding things in his arms that fell to the ground as he got out the door. The store owner was chasing behind him and then the trio perked their heads up at Klaus's voice, "Hey, bitches!"

"Now I'm starting to wonder if that was the wisest decision."

β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…

LATER THAT DAY, STARR AND THE FAMILY GATHERED IN THE living room where they head a tv showing the security footage showing the night of Reginald Hargreeve's death. All Starr really saw was Grace standing by Reginald's bed and then leaving, but she was too far away to notice anything important.

Starr was sitting on the floor next to Allison, leaning beside the pole with her arms resting on her knees. Once the video ended, Vanya spoke up from behind, "You really think mom would hurt dad?"

Diego turned to face her, "You haven't been home in a long time, Vanya," he snapped at her as he faced the footage again, "Maybe you don't know Grace anymore."

"If he was poisoned, it would have shown in the coroner's report," Diego spoke up.

"Well, I don't need a report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes,"

Diego crossed his arms, his eyes still glued to the small tv with the footage paused at the point where Grace was leaving the room, "Maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your vision," he clicked a button and leaned forward, "Look closer," he continued speaking as the video played again, "Dad has his monocle, mom stands up, monocle's gone."

Klaus chuckled with the bag of food in his hands, "Oh, yeah!"

"She wasn't poisoning him," Diego stated as he left the tv to go near the couch, "She was... taking it," he said, leaning his arm on the couch, "To clean it."

"Then where is it?" Luther questioned, "I've searched the house, including all of her things, she doesn't have it."

"That's because I took it from her," Diego shrugged, "After the funeral."

"You've had the monocle this whole time?" Allison snapped at her brother, turning her head to face him, "What the hell, Diego?"

"Ooh, plot twist!" Starr exclaimed.

"Give it to me."

"Look, I knew that if you found it on mom, you'd lose your shit, just like your doing right now," Diego stated, slowly walking towards him and pointing.

"Diego, you son of a bitch."

"Calm down," Vanya spoke up. "Look, I know dad wasn't exactly an open book, but I do remember one thing he said," everyone turned to Vanya, "Mom was, well, designed to be a caretaker, but.... Also a protector."

Allison frowned in confusion, "What does that mean?"

"She was programmed to intervene if someone's life was in jeopardy,"

"Well, if her hardware's degrading... we need to turn her off."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait," Diego said, pointing at his brother once more, "She's not just a vacuum cleaner you can throw in a closet," his voice began to fill with anger, "She feels things, I've seen it!"

"She just stood there, Diego," Luther signaled to the tv, "and watched our father did."

"I'm with Luther."

Diego turned to Allison, "Surprise, surprise."

"Sister-kisser," Starr muttered, loud enough for Allison to hear.

Just as Vanya was speaking, Diego turned to her, "Yeah, you shouldn't get a vote."

"I was gonna say I agree with you!"

"Okay, she should get a vote," he then turned to Klaus who was leaning on the other pole with his arms crossed, "What about you, stoner boy? What do you got?"

"Oh, so what? You need my help now?" He switched his tone to mimic his siblings voices. "Oh, get out the van, Klaus! Well, welcome back to the van."

"What van?"

Starr craned her neck up to Allison, "It's a metaphor."

Luther scoffed, "Okay, what's it gonna be, Klaus?"

"I'm with Diego, 'cause screw you! And if Ben were here, he'd agree with me,"

"I agree with the cool vigilante guy," Starr added as she stood up from the floor.

When she stood up, Diego turned and pointed at her, "Even the kid agrees!"

"It's not final yet," Allison spoke up as they all turned to her, "The whole family has to vote," some of her siblings sighed in defeat, "We owe each other that."

"Right."

"No, we should wait,"

Then, they all headed out leaving Diego with Grace.

β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…β–…

Β  Β  Β  NIGHT FELL ON THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY, everyone was in their own little world: Luther went to that secret up on the roof with the little window in the attic, Klaus was probably being Klaus and Starr was just on her own. She had gotten into her pajamas which wet just the shirt she was wearing and sweatpants with socks; she headed upstairs, nearly missing the two people in masks walking in.

Just as she got upstairs, she stopped in her tracks as her heard metal clanking from downstairs. Starr took one quick glance in the foyer and shrugged, assuming it was her imagination. As she walked down the hallway, she noticed Grace, who was sewing and barely looked up at her when she walked by.

Starr stopped on her tracks for the second time, deciding to take this time to get to know her better, "Uh, Grace, right?" the robot mom perked her head up as the needle went through the fabric.

"Oh, yes," she replied softly with a smile. "And you are?"

Starr frowned in confusion, remembering the first time they met, but just assumed it was an easy to forget thing β€” she should know as her parents find it easy to forget her all the time, "Oh... uh, Starr β€” I'm Allison's... niece?" she shrugged, "I don't know, we're more of a found family type thing."

Grace looked up again and smiled, "How lovely."

Starr flashed a light smile again, a little creeped out by the fact she couldn't remember the other few times they've run into each other, but before she could say anything, gunfire came from the halls where the bedrooms were, "What the?!"

Eventually, Starr met up with Allison and they headed to the foyer with Luther before the people in masks could continue firing at Diego. Luther through one of the guys down while Allison kicked the gun out of another's hand and grunted, seining another kick. Starr tried helping too, but she got swung to the ground five seconds in with Allison having to step in, getting caught in a chokehold.

The trio of Diego, Luther and Starr came to help free Allison from his grasp and Luther managed to throw him into the living room. Once Allison regained balance she spoke up, "Who the hell are these guys?!"

"I don't know, but they really like cosplay," Starr shrugged, signaling to the masks on their faces.

As Diego stood up, Luther walked into the living room with a stoic expression, "You're welcome."

Diego scoffed, "I was doing fine."

"Oh, yeah, you really had themβ€”"

"Ever hear of a rope-a-dope?"

Just then, the masked maniacs started firing at them again and they had to duck for cover. Allison and Starr headed down into the kitchen with the pink rabbit chasing behind them. The duo hid behind a pool table and Allison took a pool stick, throwing it at her. As they began fighting, Allison was swung back to the pool table and Diego joined the two girls downstairs, "You wanna rumor this psycho?"

"Don't need to, because this bitch just pissed me off," Allison then signaled to Starr who nodded at her, "And I got a little backup," Starr stood up from behind the pool table, "Starr, it's time for the glow stick!"

"We could really use a better name for it!"

The rabbit masked woman held the pool table in one hand, walking up to the two, "We just want the boy."

"Oh, well... in that case."

Starr's hands began glowing and Diego's eyes widened in shock, "She could do that this whole time?!" Starr threw a ball of cosmic light at her while Allison swung a kick or two.

When all else failed, Diego stepped in. Once Diego finished her off, Allison passed one of his knives to him and he swung them at the rabbit mask woman. After the fight, the trio headed upstairs where they found Luther on the ground and helped him up. Then, the lights started sparking and went off and Luther pushed them out of the way, so the chandelier wouldn't fall on them.

"Luther!"

As Luther lifted the chandelier off of him, the quartet around him saw something rather extraordinary. Luther had the body of an ape unlike the last time his siblings had seen him and this is the first time Starr's seen him. Looking around, Luther looked almost ashamed or embarrassed, so he ran away.

Once Luther left Allison headed to Vanya who asked, "Did you know?"

"No."
