"WHAT'S THE DATE? THE EXACT DATE," WAS THE FIRST THING FIVE ASKED WHEN HE CAME BACK FROM... WHEREVER HE WAS. Everyone gathered in the kitchen, watching him make a sandwich, some were confused, curious and just looking for answers.

Allison said to expect something like this if Starr ever came here, but even Allison couldn't predict her brother Five coming back. Not in a million years ( no pun intended ).

Five placed a wooden board on the table and got a package of bread, putting two slices down as Vanya replied, "The 24th."

"Of what?"

"March."

"Good," Five nodded.

"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther inquired.

Luther stood up, "It's been seventeen years.

Five walked up to him and scoffed, "it's been a lot longer than that," then, he time-jumped from the table to the shelves and got some marshmallows.

"I haven't missed that," Luther muttered.

"Where'd you go?" Diego asked.

"The future," Five replied as he time-jumped back to the table. "It's shit, by the way."

"Called it," Klaus cut in.

"Allison, you owe me five bucks," Starr added, crossing her arms.

Five sighed, walking over to the drawers, "I should've listened to the old man," he opened it and searched for peanut butter. "You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice," Five then lifted his head up to face Klaus. "Nice dress."

"Oh, well, danke!"

He then turned to Starr and squinted his eyebrows, "I don't remember there being eight of us?"

"Oh, this is Starr," Allison introduced.

Starr slowly waved at him, "Hey..."

Five nodded and said, "hi."

"Wait, how did you get back?" Vanya wondered.

"In the end, i had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time," Five explained.

"That makes no sense," Diego deadpanned.

"Well, it would if you were smarter,"

Diego immediately jumped out of his seat, but Luther put an arm in front of him to hold him back, "How long were you there?"

"Forty-five years," Five replied. "Give or take."

Luther sat back down, "So what are you saying? That you're fifty?"

"No, my consciousness is fifty-eight," five explained. "Apparently, my body is now thirteen again,"

"Wait, how does that even work?" Vanya questioned.

"Delores kept saying the equations were off, eh," Five took a bite of his sandwich, "Bet she's laughing now."

"Delores?"

Five picked up the newspaper that had the announcement of Reginald Hargeeves's death on the front page, "Guess I missed the funeral."

"How'd you know about that?" Luther inquired.

"What part of the future do you not understand?" Five said in a sarcastic tone. "Heart failure, huh?"

"Yeah."

"No."

"Hmm," Five clicked his tongue," Nice to see nothing's changed."

"Uh, that's it?" Allison asked as five walked away. "That's all you have to say?"

"What else is there to say? The circle of life," five said.

"And it moves us all," Starr said in a sing-song tone.

"Please! No," Diego sighed.

"Well," Luther cut in. "That was interesting."

โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…โ–…

IT WAS TIME FOR THE FUNERAL SERVICE and how fitting that it started raining just as everyone headed outside for the service. Luther was carrying the goblet that had Mr. Hargeeves's ashes and had a long trench coat inside of an umbrella like the rest of them.

While all of them seemed gloom and doom, Grace ( their robot mother ) had a bright smile on her face, "Did something happen?"

"Dad died, remember?" Allison frowned in confusion.

"Oh. Yes, of course," Grace nodded.

"Is mom okay?" Allison asked.

"Yeah, yeah, she's fine," Diego replied. "She just needs to rest. Y'know, recharge."

Then, Pogo walked out with a walking stick and turned to Luther, "Whenever you're ready, dear boy." Luther uncapped the goblet and poured out the ashes, but instead of flowing in the wind, they just fell to the ground, "Probably would've been better with some wind."

"Does anyone wish to speak?"

No one answered.

"Very well," pogo sighed. "In all regards, Sir Reginald Hargeeves made me what I am today," Pogo began. "For that alone, I shall forever be in his debt," Diego shrugged, looking to the ground. "And I shall miss him very much. He leaves behind a complicated legacyโ€”"

"-he was a monster," Diego cut him off, causing Klaus to laugh. "He was a bad person and a worse father. The world's better off without him."

Allison sighed, "Diego."

"My name is number two," Diego said. "You know why? Because our father couldn't be bothered to give us actual names โ€” he had mom do it."

"Would anyone like something to eat?" Grace asked.

"No. It's okay, mom," Vanya replied.

"No thanks, Mrs. Hargeeves or is it Ms?" Starr asked

"Oh, okay."

"Look, you wanna pay your respects? Go ahead," Diego walked away from his spot and in front of everyone, "But at least be honest about the kind of man he was."

"You should stop talking now," Luther spoke up.

Diego turned around, "You know, you of all people should be on my side here, number one."

"I am warning you."

"After everything he did to you?" The two stood face to face. "He had to ship you a million miles away."

"Diego, stop talking," Luther snapped.

"That's how much he couldn't stand the sight of you!"

With that, Luther broke and swung the first punch, missing. Allison pushed Starr back away, but Starr just squinted her eyes at her. The fight continued while Pogo and Vanya were trying to get them to stop, Klaus was rather enjoying it. Five just rolled his eyes with a shake of his head and headed inside, "We don't have time for this."

"Come here, big boy!"

Luther then swung another punch, hitting the statue of one of their deceased siblings, Ben, causing it to break, with the pieces falling to the ground. Allison sighed, "And there goes Ben's statue," Starr crossed her arms with a head shake Allison lead her inside as the fight went on.

THAT NIGHT, VANYA WAS THE FIRST TO LEAVE SO it was just Allison and Starr, Five, Luther, Diego and Klaus. Allison and Atarr headed to the kitchen where they found Klaus who was clinging to a guitar and had his feet up on the table. Starr was already in her pajamas since they were staying the extra night and leaving the next day.

After being here for a day, Starr completely understood Allison's excitement to leave: she'd see Claire again ( divorce stuff ), this family does nothing but fight and they all have daddy issues curtesy of Sir Reginald Hargreeves.

"Where's Vanya?" Allison questioned.

"Oh, she's gone," Klaus replied.

"That's unfortunate," Five said, placing a coffee mug down, "An entire square block, Forty-two bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, but not a single drop of coffee."

"Dad hated caffeine,"

"Well, he hated children, too and he had plenty of us," Klaus said with a laugh.

"Dang," Starr muttered

Five sighed, "I'm taking the car."

"Where are you going?" Klaus asked.

"To get a decent cup of coffee," Five replied.

"Do you even know how to drive?" Allison inquired.

"I know how to do everything," he said time-jumping out of the kitchen.

"I feel like we should try and stop him, but then again, I also just wanna see what happens," Klaus shrugged.

Starr crossed her arms against her chest after hearing a car engine outside, "Why do I have a feeling something bad's happening?"

"Don't you worry, Sarah," Klaus said with a sigh.

"It's โ€” never mind..."

Just then, Diego made his way into the kitchen with a bag in one hand, "All right, guess I'll see you in ten years after in what, ten years? When Pogo dies?"

"Not if you die first," Allison quipped.

"Yeah, love you too, sis."

"It was nice meeting you," Starr said, flashing a bright smile.

Diego took a snack off the table and said, "Sure."

"Good luck on your next film," he leaned in to Allison and whispered, "Hope it turns out better than your marriage, huh?"

He was the last to leave, alongside Klaus.
