Chapter twenty nine,

devil or angel in disguise

   BOTH WERE ALREADY RUNNING DOWNSTAIRS, it was then that Jasmine turned around at the sound of screaming from her friends and cousin, ". . . Anika and Mindy!" She was panicking on the inside, as much as Chad was panicking.

   Chad swallowed down his saliva, "Shit! Shit!"

   Jasmine glanced upstairs, "We need to go back up there." She began going back upstairs, and Chad following in pursuit, her eyes had widened in almost bit of relief since the door was still open, "The door it's still open —" Not only a minute later it was slammed and locked shut.

Both just banging the door, "You don't have keys from here?" Chad asked his girlfriend, he was panicking 'cause his sister is still in there, and in danger.

Jasmine had cried in ultimate panic because they couldn't really do anything, and had no way to open the Carpenter house door, "No — Wait, I can just call the police. . . My phone it's in my pocket. . ." She stuck her hand inside her jean pocket only to freeze and face going white like a ghost, "My phone it's not in here, it was just here not long ago!" She was stressed out.

Chad placed his hands on her cheek, "It's okay —" He was just trying to calm her down from this despite himself being stressed out,

She was just tearing up, "No it's not. Anika and Mindy are in there!" She had felt her lips just trembling in fear of the outcomes.

Chad kissed her forehead, "Come on. We're gonna go downstairs and use the nearest by payphone, and get help. Everything's going to be okay." He pulled her shirt up, checking if she didn't have any scratches only to nod, and sighed in relief before tugging his girlfriends hand with him.

Jasmine's voice cracking, "Promise?"

Chad responding, "I promise. Anika and Mindy are going to be fine." He reassured her, but also himself.

He couldn't lose his sister, and Minnie couldn't lose her cousin. Both were just equally terrified as the ones inside.

SAM HAD ULTIMATELY DRAGGED ALL the girls into the room with her, locking the door back up, as they were all groaning in pure pain, "Fuck!" Mindy was just crying out in discomfort.

Tara's eyes were bloodshot red, calling out to her own sister in fear, "There's fucking two of them, Sam!" She had lightly sobbed, her cheeks were both slice with a knife, "This one was so fucking strong and ruthless, he had stuck his knife into Jodie twice, and spoke to me!" Her hand was intertwined with her girlfriend who has her head placed on her shoulder.

Jodie groaning in pain, "I'm fine, so fine."

Except she wasn't.

There was another one, and she didn't even know who's underneath it, but whoever it is wasn't even on their side, and has their own fucking motive.

How did this get so out of hand?

Tara couldn't help, but replay what this figure told her, whoever it was they were rough and just blunt, "Get your ass out the way, kid. Or, I'll do more than this this!" The anger that was radiating off the voice was detected, as it had all went by quickly, and he shoved her towards Sam.

The banging wouldn't stop until it had suddenly gotten silent, Sam glanced around until her eyes widened, "Mindy, bathroom door. Hurry!" She whispered.

Mindy that despite her limping headed that damn direction only to let out a scream, "Oh, fuck! That guys dead." She ultimately jumped when the figure appeared, screaming and just attempting to hold the door.

A figure had appeared behind, and just pulling the one who was attempting to go into the room, the sound of two figures fighting was simply heard, glass shattering and a cry out of pain.

   Sam quickly ran over to help Mindy, and just slamming both of the doors shut, and dragging her dresser to block the door, voice was laced with concern but some confidence in her own voice, "We might have a chance to make it out alive, it seems the second one is distracting this one." She reassured.

   Anika who cried in pain, "I'm scared."

   Sam glanced at the window, all while Mindy was holding onto the door as it sounded like the two figures were still in a real complicated fighting, "Are you fucking kidding me?" Her eyes were glancing at a ladder.

Danny shouting, "You have a better idea?"

Sam shaking her head, "Fuck. No."

Anika who was groaning in complete pain, and holding onto her stomach, "You have to come one at a time." Danny loudly told them.

Sam had quickly glanced over at everyone in the room that's with her, "Tara you go first." She had softly told her sister who was just a bit indecisive, "No. What about Jodie?"

Jodie who shook her head, "Go. I'll be okay."

Tara had bit on her own bottom lip anxiously at this situation, and just placing a soft kiss on her lips before heading on over, Sam helping her on, "It's gonna be okay. Come on, T." Sam had reassured her sister.

The door began banging, Mindy felt her own eyes widening, Sam glanced at the next three who were still here, "Mindy come on, you're next to go!" She ushered the girl.

   Mindy shook her head, "No. Someone needs to hold the door. I'll send Anika and Jodie next. Go!" She yelled in pure worrisome.

   Sam who nodded her head in worry and a bit indecisive before going in, "Sam, come on. Eyes on me, baby." The concern that was in Danny's voice was heard.

   Tara shouting, "Come on. You can do it!"

   Mindy who was shouting when her eyes glanced at her girlfriend who was groaning in complete pain on the bed, "She's losing a lot of blood." She had shouted at Sam, so she can hurry up.

   Anika crying in pain, "Say something more positive!" Fear was radiating in her body, and thoughts were swirling her head, that what if she fucking dies and doesn't even get a chance to meet her cousins baby? She had sobbed even more.

   Sam shouting in worry, "Come on, Mindy! Anika and Jodie, come on!" She ushered for one of them to get on.

   Jodie glanced at the two in worry because she was fucking worried on who this other figure was besides Ethan, she only knew of him, "Let, Anika go first. She's more harmed." Jodie had groaned in pure pain.

   Mindy holding her girlfriend, "You have to go first, pleas?" She had felt herself tearing up, all while Anika shook her head.

   Anika was crying in pure pain, "Mindy, no! I'll be right behind you, I promise." She easily told her girlfriend.

  The door almost opening, so it had led to Mindy kissing her girlfriend, Sam ultimately shouting, "Mindy, come on. You got to get over here!" She exclaimed.

   Mindy had began crossing the ladder, eyes were quickly glancing when she heard the door was almost opening back up despite a dresser that was blocking the way, though with some encouraging words from her girlfriend she had continued.

   Jodie who just urged Anika to go first, "You go first, I'll be right behind you." She yelled out only for Anika to nod her head.

   Anika just glanced down the ladder, she never really liked heights it's her biggest fear, "Come on, Anika." Mindy encouraged her.

   Anika who was just sobbing, "Oh, God! I can't do it, I can't do it." She shook her head in pure terror before slowly crossing over, "Don't look down!" Sam shouted.

   Mindy speaking to her, "Look at me!"

   The door had ultimately managed to be kicked opened, eyes glancing at Jodie who was sitting on the bed, groaning in pain only for his attention to focus on Anika.

   Anika who noticed the horror that's in her girlfriends eyes and friends, "Anika, you have to move right now!" Mindy shouted in horror for her girlfriends life, right now.

   Tara who just felt herself trembling because her girlfriend was in pain, and didn't even see when Ghostface entered the room, and now there's a chance that two of them can get hurt or killed.

   Anika had turned around and screamed in horror, shouting, "No, God! Please, no!" She had begged, and afraid for her own life at this exact moment.

   Sam yelling in fear, "Anika, you got to move!"

   Tara who ultimately yelled at her girlfriend who was just sitting in the bed, eyes glancing in horror, "Jodie! You have to get up and leave, go downstairs!" She cried in horror.

   Ghostface lowered his knife, shaking the ladder just as Jodie managed to get up, and attempt to leave the room only for the second figure to arrive towards them room, and was harshly kicking her towards the wall, and just stabbing her on the shoulder before her body had dropped on the ground, Tara crying out in just horror, "No. Jodie!"

   Everything went by just so fast, that the one who was shaking Anika's ladder was now just thrown into the wall, and kicked him harshly into the stomach.

   Everyone glanced at him approaching the ladder, "No! No! No!" Though, a few of their worries will soon vanish, as whoever is just  underneath this mask was hold onto the ladder to stabilize it.

   Turning on the voice, "Move!"

   Anika had simply cried out in simple pain with also mixture of complete horror, speaking, "Thank you, thank you!" She had sobbed, and crossing the ladder only for Mindy to then pull her into the apartment.

   Everyone glancing around at the ones who had crossed, and leaving Tara to rush out the apartment to get Jodie, and leaving Samantha to just stare at the figure, eyes just squinting until they had widened, whispering to herself and the figure, "Mickey?"

   She was just in so much shock. He had protected them all tonight, but why not Jodie, she's friends with Jasmine? Her thoughts were rudely interrupted when he had spoken, and it caught her off guard.

   His voice was still disoriented because of the voice changer, "I'd be real careful around who you trust, lately because you've got one hell of enemies that are surrounding my daughter and you." He had easily snatched the knife and had disappearing.

Sam couldn't help, but to just remain really confused by his sentence. Why would he even bother telling her that, and should she even really be trusting him?
