Chapter eight,

maybe, it's for the best

ย  ย  MICKEY ALTIERI WAS simply in the basement where the laundromat was simply at to wash their uniform amongst other things, as his eyes were vaguely looking at the camera that was simply in the upper corner, and he already knew that whoever was on watch today had a tendency of being stupid.

ย ย  Pretending that he was just washing, as he thrown his clothes into the washing machine, and had subtly made eye contact with at least ten of his prison mates who were here and knew of the plan, "Now." He had gritted with his teeth.

ย ย  A prison mate had nodded his own head, "Give me back that shit!" All while he glanced at a prisoner mate across from him, as both began instigating a fight, "Get your own shit, Cooper!" He growled back.

ย ย  The fight had escalated when everyone huddled up into a circle, doors opening with a officer who had simply came over to break the apart, "Hey, knock it off!" He yelled out, and attempting to break them apart, as he was only being shoved around.

ย ย  Mickey who was just witnessing the scene unfold within his own eyes, as he pulled out a kitchen knife that he stolen two nights ago, and slowly approaching the officer, and made way into the circle, two prison mates were gripping the officers arms, and allowing Mickey to just intertwine his fingers onto the officers hair, and harshly yanking his head backwards that made the officers eyes widened in fear, "No hard feelings, Deputy." He brought the knife towards his neck, and simply slicing it as he began to choke up on in his own blood, "I need to protect my kid, and you all aren't really doing enough to protect her and friends." He snarled before shoving the knife complete into the officers skin that went through his neck.

ย ย  Mickey easily began switching up his prison clothes with the officers uniform, "Throw him into the washing machine. . ." He had told his prison mates, as he had a card that will allow him to leave from here, "I'm out of here, I'll be back soon, though." He shrugged his shoulders knowing that at some point they'll find him.

ย ย  A prison mate had quickly called out to him that captured his attention, "He's a block away, and the car is black with tinted windows. . ." He had slowly remarked to his prison mate, "Also, there is a stash of money that is hidden behind the bushes that my brother had left you. Good luck." He retorted.

The sound of officers steps approaching the laundromat captured all of there attention, as Mickey left abruptly through the exit door, and was met with the sun along with the smell of fresh air now hitting his face.

A wicked smile suddenly appeared on his face, he was ready to throw on a new cloak and mask since he truly never retired from his little habits.

ย  ย  "YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO APOLOGIZE," Dewey managed to calm down his niece from her manic episode who now just had tears dribbling down her eyes, silently eating her cookies and cream ice cream, "Minnie are you listening to me?" She made a hum sound, eyes glancing at her uncle as she stabbed her ice cream with her plastic spoon, eyes glancing up at him.

ย ย  Jasmine who frustratedly answered him, "Apologize for what? I did absolutely nothing wrong." She sassily remarked, "And you should be taking my side, I'm your freaking niece not them." She sounded childish, but she didn't care.

ย ย  Dewey who had sucked in his own breath, and simply closing his eyes. Teenagers are so stubborn, but Jasmine Altieri was probably the most stubbornness person he's ever met.

ย ย  He casually opened his eyes and glancing back at her, "I'm not forcing you to apologize to Mindy, she was out of line. . ." He was receiving a bunch of text messages from Martha who was apologizing for her daughters behavior, "I'm speaking about you apologizing to Chad." He remarked.

Jasmine who had sadly glanced down at her ice cream at the mention of his name, "What about Chad?" She attempted to act stupid, but her face knew exactly what this conversation was heading towards.

Awhile, earlier she had answered her phone and heard Wes who was apologizing over and over, so of course she accepted his apology, she didn't blame him for Mindy's outburst, and she can never stay mad at Wes. So, did Liv and exactly like her other friend, she can never stay mad at them.

Dewey who given her a look, "You yelled at him, and broke up with him. I understand that you are angry at his sister, but you didn't need to explode at him. . ." He slowly told her, as she sniffled at what he was saying, "You hurt him earlier today, Minnie but you also hurt yourself when you yelled at him." He noticed that when she yelled at him, and said those awful things to him that it hurt her as well, the pain written all over her eyes, he knew that she regretted saying that to him.

ย ย  Jasmine who attempted to lie, "It's not like my relationship with him was real. . ." She had confessed, Dewey had scrunched up his own eyebrows not even understanding what she had meant, "We were in a fake relationship as, uhm Dean was only with me for a damn bet, but he wouldn't leave me alone, so I began this thing with Chad." She slowly revealed.

ย ย  Dewey who slowly asked her, "What bet?"

ย ย  Jasmine who had played around with her own ice cream that was melting in the cup, "Taking my virginity away, and then dumping me afterwards. Though, he dumped me before things escalated, and he began calling me freak." She never knew why Dean began calling her that, but she didn't care at this point.

ย ย  Dewey who had felt his own jaw clench, "That boy will hear from me." He gritted through his teeth.

ย ย  Jasmine shook her head, "Please, don't. I'm fine already, he's a dick anyways and will get his karma someday. . . I don't even know what I saw in him he's not like โ€” " She had bit her tongue from saying his name.

ย ย  A part of her felt beyond stupid for yelling at him and wanting to apologize to him. He didn't even need to be yelled at, she didn't even know why she took her anger out at him, as he's been here for her on everything, and she shattered his heart.

ย ย  Dewey slowly finished her sentence that she didn't want to finish, "He's not Chad." He just watched on how she slowly nodded her head at his statement, "Rather the relationship was fake, Minnie. You know that deep down it's real to the both of you." He reassured her.

ย ย  Minnie just sniffled, "At this point it probably doesn't even matter, he probably hates me for my little outburst at them. . ." She had let out a strain sob, "And maybe it's for the best to keep him away from me, right now." She retorted.

She fidgeted with her fingers.

Dewey who didn't understand, Why do you say that?" He was beyond confused on why'd she say such a thing.

"Ghostface has recently been targeting me too much, and. . ." She sucked in her own breath, and shakily speaking, "He'd just be collateral damage, and I can't lose him, I just can't. So, maybe it's for the best if he's away from me even if it hurts." She'd do anything to keep him away from her.

ย ย  Dewey who slowly ended the conversation, "You're only going to be hurting yourself by doing this. . ." His phone had simply rang, and just catching their attention, "This is Dewey Riley speaking. . ." Their faces paled at what they heard on the other line.

ย ย  Judy and Wes Hicks were just pronounced dead, a Ghostface attack.
