"SLOW DOWN, MINNIE." She was currently eating cereal in her friends kitchen, as considering Dewey and her arrived back to Woodsboro a couple weeks ago in the middle of the night, but had no home, so Martha allowed them to just crash at her house until her Uncle Dewey finds a place, "You're going to choke on your cereal." He placed his hands on his hips.
ย ย Jasmine had quickly wiped her mouth with her arms, and getting rid of her milk mustache, a goofy smile on her face, "Well, I didn't. Im all good, so come on, old man." She quietly spoke to him, considering her friends and their mom were still asleep.
She jumped out of her chair, tugging on her Uncle's hand with a smile on her face, all while he had an offended stare at the comment she gave him, "Old man,? I'm not that old." He had soothed his beard, 'cause sure he was getting a bit white hairs, but not that much.
Jasmine shrugged her own shoulders, speaking to him, "A joke. . ." She skipped to the garage, jumping to hit the button, so the garage door opens, smugly speaking to him, "You're my second favorite old man!" She squealed.
Dewey simply raised his eyebrow at her blurted out statement, "I don't know if I should be offended, but I'll take it. Who's your first favorite, old man?" He could already assume the first one, he just wanted to hear her calling Mickey Altieri, old man.
ย ย Jasmine had squealed, "My daddy!" she had stumbled on her feet, 'causing some supplies that were in the garage to ultimately fall down onto the ground, as she had simply huffed in annoyance, "Shit, I'm okay." She blurted out, and giving her Uncle Dewey a thumbs up, and a smile on her face.
Dewey had approached his niece, "Language. You know you're going to have to clean up the mess you're making in here." He simply helped her stand up, and had pulled her pink bike out of the place where it was stuck in.
Jasmine sweetly pouted, "I don't like cleaning, it's too much work. I just want to play all day." She whined.
Dewey shook his head, "No excuses, Minnie. You can play all day, but you have to clean up once you're finished." He lectured her.
She sighed, "Okay. . ."
She instantly noticed her Uncle Dewey beginning to take off her training wheels, eyes widening, "What are you doing? I need those extra wheels, or I'll fall and die." She squeaked.
His eyes twinkled in amusement at what she was rambling to him, "You're not going to die, Minnie. . . maybe, fall but that's also the point of learning to ride your bike." His eyes had remained trained on her wheels, and fixing the bike up.
Jasmine squinted her own eyes, "Sounds dumb, so I need to hurt in order to learn?" She crossed her arms, "Put my training wheels back on, old man." She had tapped her foot on the ground.
ย ย Dewey remained silent, reminiscing his sister, Tatum. Both girls were alike at certain times with their no filter, but overall had a good heart. A small smile formed on his face despite a tear rolling down his eye because he really did miss his sister, and knowing that Tatum would've adored Minnie and her sassy behavior. Though, his sister never even had the opportunity for anything, her life was cut short by those she trusted the most.
ย ย Jasmine ultimately crouched down to his level, eyes squinting in curiosity, "Why are you crying?" She questioned him.
ย ย Dewey wiped his tear and just offering Jasmine a small smile, "I'm just thinking about Tatum, my sister. You know that she would've adored you, Minnie. Tatum and you are so much alike." He had truthfully answered her.
ย ย Jasmine blinked her eyes, she didn't know much about her Uncles sister, "What happened to her?" She whispered back to him.
ย ย Dewey didn't want to terrify the girl, so he was vague with his answer, "People who she had trusted had hurt her, so badly. But, she's up there with the angels, protecting us." He pointed his finger to the sky.
ย ย Jasmine had felt her eyes getting watery at what he was telling her, she felt sad, "Like my mommy who's up there too?" Her voice slightly cracked.
ย ย Dewey nodded his head, "Yeah."
ย ย She had engulfed her Uncle Dewey into an enormous hug as he had also hugged her back, she pulled away from the hug smiling at him as a thought came into her head, "She's also here too. . . in your heart." She placed the palm of her hand onto her chest where her heart was at as she continued, "Just like my mommy is here in my heart." She softly smiled.
Dewey nodded his head, "You're absolutely, right. And, we have the good memories of them to live on with." He smiled at her, and ruffling up her hair.
She whined, "Not the hair, I worked hard on this." She fixed her hair, again with her fingers so it wasn't all over the place.
He hummed at her, "I wonder why."
Narrowing her eyes, "Huh?"
He shook his head, "Nothing, nothing."
She didn't really understand, so she had decided to grab her pink helmet, "If I fall down, scraping my knee, you better have my princess bandaids on you." She adjusted her helmet on her head, scrunching up her nose at him.
Dewey nodded his head, "Yes, boss."
It was safe to say that Jasmine Altieri didn't need her training wheels after today, Dewey and her had spent all morning outside, as she was jumping in excitement that she didn't need her training wheels anymore, except she had needed two princess bandaids.
