"have you just realised we have the same class?" aurora asked stiles, after seeing the confused look on his face as they both entered mr harris' class.
"no, definitely not, no way." stiles stuttered awkwardly.
"mr stilinkski and miss hale, stop talking and sit down!" mr harris ordered.
"i'll kick his ass one day." aurora muttered to stiles as he sat down next to her.
stiles let out a chuckle, shaking his head slightly.
scott arrived to the class a few minutes later and sat in front of aurora and stiles.
scott turned to aurora and stiles. "maybe it was my blood on the door." he wondered.
"could have been animal blood." stiles told him. "you know, maybe you caught a rabbit or something."
"would've been a large rabbit." aurora muttered, whilst taking her notes, she felt stiles nudge her and she looked up at scott. "i'm not wrong?" she shrugged, going back to taking her notes.
"what if it was a rabbit? what would i have done with it?" scott asked.
stiles shrugged. "ate it."
"raw?" scott asked in horror.
"no, you stopped to bake it in a little werewolf oven." stiles sarcastically told him, making aurora let out a small laugh. "i don't know, you're the one who can't remember anything."
"mr stilinski. if that's you're idea of a hushed whisper, you might wanna pull the headphones out every once in a while." mr harris spoke up, his eyes flickering from aurora, stiles and scott. "you know, i think you, miss hale and mr mccall would benefit from a little distance, yes?"
aurora rolled her eyes at the man.
"no." stiles replied to him.
mr harris pointed at scott and directed him to another table, then did the same to stiles placing the three away from each other.
"let me know if the separation anxiety gets to be too much for you all." mr harris remarked, making aurora roll her eyes again. "miss hale, roll your eyes again-"
"or what?" she sat up, glaring at the man, her head tilted slightly.
a few snickers were heard from around the classroom.
mr harris looked around the room. "out." he told her.
aurora raised her hands in defense, grabbed her things, and left.
...
aurora found scott and stiles at lunch, they grabbed their food and began to walk to a table. they had told aurora the man wasn't dead but very injured.
"but dreams aren't memories." stiles told scott.
"could've been the alpha who turned you. maybe trying to mess with your head." aurora shrugged.
the boys ignored her, still thinking derek was the alpha.
"then it wasn't a dream." scott told them, as they sat down. "something happened last night, and i can't remember what."
"what makes you so sure that derek even has all the answers?" stiles asked.
"you do realise we came from a family of werewolves, right? we didn't get turned. we were born like this." aurora told stiles. "derek will have the answers."
"plus, you and derek didn't change during the full moon." scott added on looking at aurora. "you were both in total control."
"before you ask, i have no clue what is going on." aurora quickly told him.
"while i was running around in the middle of the night attacking some totally innocent guys." scott stressed.
"you don't know that." stiles told him.
"i don't not know it." scott shook his head. "i can't go out with allison. i have to cancel."
"no, you're not canceling, okay? you can't just cancel your entire life. we'll figure it out." stiles comforted his friend.
all of a sudden, lydia martin came and sat next to scott. "figure what out?" she asked.
stiles and aurora glanced at each other.
"just, uh, homework." scott replied.
then more people began to sit with them. "what the hell?" aurora muttered to stiles, moving closer to him as some other guy sat next to her.
then allison came and sat next to scott. "thanks." she smiled.
jackson same up to the table and asked one of the guys to get up.
"how come you never ask danny to get up?" the boy asked.
"because i don't stare at his girlfriend's coin slot." danny told him.
jackson moved the guy out of the way and sat at the head of the table.
"so, i hear they're saying it's just some type of animal attack." danny started some conversation, obviously about the man on the bus. "probably a cougar."
"i heard mountain lion." jackson told them.
"a cougar is a mountain lion." lydia corrected, after jackson staring at her for a moment she switched up. "isn't it?"
"who cares? the guy's probably some homeless tweaker who's gonna die anyway." jackson shrugged.
aurora tilted her head at him, a sour look on her face.
"actually, i just found out who it is. check it out." stiles told them, showing everyone his phone.
the sheriff's department won't speculate on details of the incident." the news reporter began. "but confirmed the victim, garrison meyers, did survive the attack. meyers was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition."
"i know this guy." scott announced.
"you do?" allison asked sweetly.
"yeah, when i used to take the bus, back when i lived with my dad. he was the driver." scott told them, looking at stiles and aurora.
"can we talk about something slightly more fun, please?" lydia asked in annoyance. "like... oh! where are we going tomorrow night?"
scott and allison looked at the girl.
"you said you and scott were hanging out tomorrow night, right?"
"um. we were thinking of what we were gonna do." allison replied.
"well. i am not sitting home again watching lacrosse videos, so if the four of us are hanging out, we are doing something fun."
"h- hanging out?" scott stuttered, looking at allison.
she shrugged. "like the four of us?" scott asked. "do you wanna hang out, like us and them?" he asked allison.
"yeah. i guess. sounds fun."
aurora looked at stiles, trying not to let out a life. "feeling abandoned yet?" she whispered to him, making the boy nudge her slightly.
"you know what else sounds fun?" jackson asked. "stabbing myself in the face with this fork."
"why don't you and um, stiles come, aurora?" lydia asked.
aurora looked at the girl. "no, can't sorry." she awkwardly said. "stiles, said he'd... help me with my math homework."
"math homework? hm." lydia hummed. "anyway... how about bowling? you love to bowl." lydia said to jackson.
"yeah, with actual competition."
"did me saying you had to help me with math homework make it seem like we're sleeping together?" aurora whispered to stiles.
the boy choked on his water, making everyone look at the two.
"oh, my god." aurora muttered, glaring at stiles.
...
"you're a terrible bowler." stiles shouted to scott as the three walked down the stairs.
"i know!" scott groaned. "i'm such an idiot."
"true." aurora patted his shoulder.
"god. it was like watching a car wreck. i mean first, it turned into the whole group date thing. and then out of nowhere comes that phrase." stiles rambled.
"hang out." scott threw his arms in the air.
"you don't hang out with hot girls, okay? it's like death." stiles ran his hand over his buzzcut. "aurora, you're the exception."
"thanks, stiles."
"but once it's hanging out you may as well be her gay best friend." he added on. "you and danny can start hanging out."
"how is this happening? i either killed a guy or i didn't."
"i don't think danny likes me very much."
"nobody likes you very much except scott." aurora nudged the boy, who then nudged her back.
"i ask allison on a date and now we're hanging out." scott continued to rant.
"am i not attractive to gay guys?"
"i make first line and the team captain wants to destroy me, and now..." scott pulled out his phone. "now i'm gonna be late for work." the boy rushed off.
"wait, scott! you didn't..." stiles trailed off. "am i attractive to gay guy... you didn't answer my question."
"oh, stiles. what a hard life you have." aurora sarcastically told the boy.
