aurora had met up with scott and stiles late at night to take scott to the bus where the bus driver got attacked. she knew it was derek's idea because he had told her to go with them.
the three of them got out of stiles' jeep but scott quickly stopped them. "hey. no, just me. you guys need to keep watch."
"how come i'm always the guy keeping watch?" stiles said in annoyance, he then began to climb the fence.
"because aurora doesn't give a crap so that means there's only two of us." scott replied, dragging stiles down.
"okay, why's it starting to feel like you're batman and i'm robin?" stiles asked. "i don't wanna be robin all the time!"
"nobody's batman and robin any of the time."
"not even some of the time?" stiles questioned, seemingly upset.
"stiles. just stay here." aurora had her arms crossed over her chest, annoyed because she could be in bed right now.
stiles looked at aurora and rolled his eyes. "oh my, god! fine."
"don't give me attitude." aurora made a face as she followed stiles back into the jeep.
the two sat in the jeep as they watched scott walk over to the bus.
"why are you here, aurora?" stiles asked the girl.
"derek wanted me to make sure scott would be okay." she told him. "and i guess part of me came in case scott tried to attack you."
"really?" stiles questioned.
aurora nodded. "i know i'm not a good person but i'm not a heartless bitch, even though i probably come across as one."
"i don't-"
aurora looked over at the bus to see someone shining a flashlight. "shit, stiles."
stiles quickly looked and began beeping his horn to get scott's attention or possibly the security guard's attention.
scott quickly came out of the bus and ran through the parking lot, jumping onto a car to then jump over the fence. aurora moved into the back of stiles' jeep so scott could get in the front seat. the beta jumped into the jeep heavily breathing. "go! go! go! go!"
stiles reversed his car and then spun it around, making aurora hold onto her seat for dear life.
"did it work?" stiles asked. "did you remember?"
"yeah. i was there last night. and the blood, a lot of it was mine." scott answered.
"so you did attack him?" aurora asked slowly.
"no." scott turned to aurora. "i saw glowing eyes on the bus, but they weren't mine. it was derek."
aurora rolled her eyes. "scott. what colour were the eyes?"
"i don't remember. but it was-"
"no, it wasn't derek. he was home last night, scott. derek isn't the alpha." aurora argued.
"we can talk about that later." stiles interrupted. "what about the driver?" he asked.
"i think i was actually trying to protect him." scott answered his best friend.
"wait. why would derek help you remember that he attacked the driver?"
"that's it. stiles stop the fucking jeep." aurora almost shouted.
stiles quickly braked.
"once you two actually try to trust us, then you can speak to me. but now? i'm fucking done." aurora opened the door beginning to step out of the jeep. "you're both assholes." she finished, slamming the door and making her own way home.
...
it didn't take aurora long to get home but she was still pissed, she walked into the apartment and slammed the door loudly.
"rory?" derek called out.
"what?" she seethed.
"calm down, please."
"i'll calm down when those two little assholes trust me! they still think you're the alpha and they don't trust me!" she yelled, feeling sad about the situation.
derek appeared from the kitchen. "come on, i'll take you on a drive you can let out some of that anger on me." he grabbed his keys and opened the door for aurora which was now almost falling off its hinges.
aurora smiled at her brother. "sorry about the door." she tried not to laugh.
"get to the car." derek jokingly rolled his eyes.
...
the two had arrived at a gas station to fill up derek's car, as derek filled up on gas, aurora went inside for some food, but as she left the store a red car pulled up, facing the car. derek looked over at aurora and then at the man in the car. aurora looked closely and he stepped out of his car she realised it was chris argent.
aurora quickly walked over to derek not taking her eyes off of the hunter.
"ro, get in the car." derek told her.
"and leave you with an argent? no way derek." she whispered to him.
derek continued to fill up his car then another car pulled up behind them, blocking the siblings in. aurora stared at the two hunters behind her, her eyes narrowed on them. derek finished filling his car and took the pump out, placing it back into its holder.
"nice ride." chris argent spoke as he walked closer to the werewolves. "black cars, though. very hard to keep clean." he touched the car, cleaning some dirt off with his hand. "i would definitely suggest a little more maintenance. if you have something this nice, you wanna take care of it, right?" chris grabbed something to clean the front windshield. "personally. i'm very protective of the things i love. that's something i learned from my family."
aurora glanced up at derek who had his eyes set on chris argent.
"neither of you don't have much of that these days." he added on. "do you?"
aurora clenched her fists tightly, the hunter noticed and looked down at her hands.
"there you go." chris spoke, putting the cleaning tool back. "you can actually look through your windshield now. see how that makes everything so much clearer?" he asked.
he began to walk away but derek spoke up. "you forgot to check the oil."
chris argent stopped for a moment and turned around with a smirk. "check the man's oil." he said to the two hunters behind aurora and derek.
one of the hunters stepped forward and walked to the driver's side of the car and smashed in the window. "looks good to me."
"drive safely." chris argent told the two.
aurora's fists were still clenched and she felt blood drip off of her hands.
argent and the hunters got back into their cars and drove away, leaving derek and aurora.
"i should've fucking killed them." aurora spoke, wiping her bloodied hands onto her black jeans.
