the night after the lacrosse game, aurora and derek went back to the apartment.
"i'll try to get to your next game, i promise." derek sent a smile to aurora as she took off her shoes.
"we kicked their ass." aurora dramatically said. "i was only in for the last half hour of the game though so i hope coach will put me in for the whole game next time."
"after you basically helped the team win, i'm sure he will, now go to bed." he nodded his head in the direction of her room.
"yeah, yeah." she playfully rolled her eyes, sticking up her middle finger at him.
...
aurora arrived at the school, seeing scott and stiles waiting at the doors for her. she could already smell the anxiety coming off scott.
"what's wrong?" she asked scott as she walked up to the two.
"i had this weird dream that i killed allison, i think it was a dream, i hope it was." scott replied, the stench of anxiety leaving his body.
the three walked through the doors, stiles holding the door for aurora.
"so, you killed her?" stiles asked slowly.
"i don't know." scott replied. "i just woke up." he shrugged. "and i was sweating like crazy and i couldn't breathe. i've never had a dream where i woke up like that before."
"really?" stiles asked. "i have. usually ends a little differently."
"ew, stiles!" aurora almost laughed.
"a, i meant i've never had a dream that felt that real, and b never give me that much detail about you in bed again." scott cringed at his best friend.
"noted. let me take a guess here though." stiles tried to speak before scott interrupted him.
"no, i know. you think it has something to do with me going out with allison tomorrow." scott told the two after seeing aurora's confused look on her face. "like i'm gonna lose control and rip her throat out."
"could happen." aurora shrugged.
stiles tutted at the girl. "no, of course not."
aurora sent him an all-knowing look.
"yeah, that's totally it." he shook his head at aurora. "hey, come on, it's gonna be fine, all right? personally, i think you're handling this pretty freaking amazingly. you know, it's not like there's a lycanthropy for beginners class you can take."
"you could always listen to derek." aurora shrugged at the boys.
"no!" they both said in unison.
"right, sensitive topic apparently, not like you two didn't get him put in jail for nothing, you know, leaving me alone." she rolled her eyes.
"it was for like not even a day, aurora." stiles looked at the girl.
"have you met me? who would've paid for the apartment, my clothes, my food, and my car?" she said dramatically.
"get a job?" stiles said in a 'duh' tone of voice.
"yeah, maybe i could be a teacher, lycanthropy 101."
"well-" stiles was interrupted.
"we don't need derek when we have you aurora, you just teach me." scott smiled.
"me? seriously?" she asked.
scott was in thought for a few moments. "yeah, i'm thinking derek would be the better option."
stiles slapped the back of scott's head. "you forgetting the part where we got him tossed in jail?" stiles asked dumbfoundedly.
scott touched the back of his head. "yeah, i know, but chasing her, dragging her to the back of the bus, it felt so real."
"how real?" stiles asked in annoyance.
"like it actually happened."
the three walked through the doors to where all the school buses were, their faces morphed into horror at the scene in front of them.
blood smeared all over the bus, fbi taking photos of the scene, and police were everywhere.
"what the hell." aurora muttered, glancing at scott.
"i think it did." stiles spoke breathlessly.
...
the three rushed back into the school, scott had entered full-blown panic mode thinking he had really killed allison.
"scott, she's probably fine." aurora spoke to the boy.
"she's not answering my texts, aurora." scott panicked.
"you know, it could just be a coincidence, all right?" stiles tried to calm his friend down. "a seriously amazing coincidence."
"stiles." aurora softly said.
"yes." he looked at the girl, his eyes lit up.
"shut the hell up." she hissed, slapping his arm.
"ow!" he almost yelled, rubbing his arm.
"just help me find her, you two." scott grumbled, looking all around him to see if allison was in the crowd of students. "do you see her?"
"no." stiles and aurora answered.
they continued walking down the hall until scott wandered off over to the lockers. stiles and aurora watched as scott slammed his hand into the locker, making it almost fall off its hinges.
"brilliant." aurora huffed, walking away.
stiles followed the girl immediately, he didn't even notice lydia martin walk past him, which was the first time ever that he didn't see anyone but her.
"stiles, why are you following me?" aurora asked, looking at the boy.
"well, uhh... i just wanted to, you know, make sure you were safe getting to your first class." he rambled, nodding his head as he spoke.
aurora raised an eyebrow at him, her mouth opening and closing trying to get words out, she just shook her head and carried on walking.
