You found an empty compartment, so you decided to stay there with Draco. Draco sat beside the window while you sat beside him. You rested your head down on Draco's shoulder and felt yourself drifting off to sleep.

You were about to close your eyes when you heard the door open. You looked up to see Hermione, who had just entered your compartment. "Sorry for ruining the moment. I just couldn't find any more compartments that are available."

You sat up quickly and smiled. "Don't apologize. Come in!" You watched Hermione sitting at the opposite side of you and Draco. "Of course, you decided to go back to Hogwarts."

Hermione grinned. "I knew you would come back too and I am so glad!"

Draco scoffed and crossed his arms. "Yeah. And I'm here too. Yay."

Hermione glanced at Draco and smirked. "I'm happy that you're here too, Draco."

You looked outside of your compartment and noticed that Harry and Ron weren't there. "Where's Harry and Ron?"

"Harry is here on the train. Seamus found him with me, so he borrowed him to talk. Ron, however, had to stop by to the trolley witch to buy some sweets." Hermione rolled her eyes with a smile.

"I heard that Hogwarts rebuilt itself. Some helped. Were you there as well?" Draco asked.

Hermione nodded. "We were."

You adjusted your seat as you thought of more people you think have come back to study at Hogwarts again. "Is Ginny here?"

"Yep."

"Neville?"

"Uh-huh."

"Hm..." You thought of more. "Well, then, who are the people who won't be returning to Hogwarts."

Hermione pushed her bottom lip out as she thought. "I heard Dean isn't coming back, but he might have changed his mind." Hermione gasped when she remembered someone. "Oh! Stacey Doom isn't returning back to finish her studies at Hogwarts."

Draco smirked. "That's quite a relief."

You stifled a laugh. "Got any idea why?"

"I heard Parkinson talking about Doom couldn't handle to study at the school that could've been her deathbed." Hermione shrugged. "I can't really blame her, though. Most dangers we encountered have happened inside of Hogwarts."

"Stacey can be a daft sometimes but she's right." You nodded in agreement. "Not to mention that Voldemort had already entered the castle while we were in our first year, and he was just on Quirrell's head."

After a few more conversations, you and Hermione felt dozing off. You fell asleep on Draco's shoulder while Hermione slept with her head against the window. Since everybody seemed to have found their seats, nobody walked through the train's aisles anymore.

You and your best friend have fallen asleep, leaving Draco staring at the window. He lifted his sleeve, revealing the mark on his arm that he felt was a disgrace.

He was so absorbed in glaring at the Dark Mark that he didn't notice a tear escaping from his eye. His tear dropped on the Dark Mark, and he finally noticed that he was crying.

The Dark Mark. If anyone has the mark on your left forearm, it means you were one of the Death Eaters. The Dark Mark on Draco's skin had turned into a scar because Voldemort was finally dead. However, since it was a scar, the mark was still visible.

Draco blinked a few tears away and wiped them off his face as he sobbed softly, trying not to be loud since you were asleep on his shoulder.

What he didn't know is that you have woken up from his crying.

Even if he sided with Harry Potter against Lord Voldemort, Draco still felt guilty. He blames himself for all he has done. Bullying? Of course, he stopped, partially, because of you. But there were more horrible things he had done.

Like joining the Inquisitorial Squad, helping his Aunt Bellatrix and the other Death Eaters to provide entrance Hogwarts using the Vanishing Cabinet, joining the Death Eaters and Voldemort, and letting you and his friends suffer.

Because of him, he allowed the Death Eaters to have a chance to enter Hogwarts during his sixth year. Because of him, Dumbledore died. Because of him, numerous students, friends, and school staff were killed in the war.

You lifted your head up and looked at Draco, who lowered his head when he noticed that you were awake. "Love, are you alright?"

Draco sniffed and cleared his throat. "Uh, yeah. I'll head to the loo for a moment." He stood up and left the compartment. Draco ignored the numerous stares and glares from the students inside their compartments who saw him passing by.

He bumped into someone and noticed it was Luna. Luna smiled sweetly. "Why hello, Draco." She greeted.

Draco blinked in surprise. He didn't expect Luna Lovegood to greet him so lively and sweet. "Lovegood." He greeted back.

Luna noticed his tear-stained cheeks and his eyes that were red and puffy. "You don't look okay. Is there anything I can do to help?"

'Removing this mark would be great.' He thought to himself. Instead of saying those words, Draco shook his head. "No. It's fine. But thanks anyway."

Before Luna could respond, Draco scuttled away and entered the bathroom. Once he closed the door, Luna leaned her ear against the door to hear him.

Draco started crying. Luna frowned and quickly ran away to find you. Draco looked down at the Dark Mark on his skin. In anger, he scratched and scratched his skin with the Dark Mark on it.

He wanted it gone. But it was no use. He kept on scratching it deeper, his nails harshly raking his skin until his skin had turned red. With one last scratch, blood came out.

Draco winced in pain and collapsed on the floor. He leaned against the wall and cried. He couldn't tell you what he has been going through; however, you knew that things weren't so well with him.

Luna stopped in her tracks when she finally saw you, opening the door of your compartment.

"(Y/n)!" She greeted.

You looked at her and smiled as you closed the door behind you. "Hello, Luna."

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to find Draco. Have you seen him by any chance?"

Luna nodded and pointed in the direction of where he was. "He's on the loo, and he's crying. Follow me."

Luna led the way, and you followed behind. Draco heard footsteps, so he quickly stood up and washed off the blood. He hissed in pain as the water poured down directly at his wounds. When you and Luna were finally in front of the bathroom, you decided to knock. "Draco?"

No answer.

You started to worry and panic. You glanced at Lune before knocking again. "Draco, It's me and Luna."

No response.

Luna looked at you worriedly. 'Oh Merlin, why isn't he answering?' You thought. You knocked a little bit harder. "Draco Malfoy, you open this door."

Still, no response.

You tried to open the door by turning the knob, but it was locked. You sighed and pulled out your wand, pointing it on the doorknob.

"(Y/n)! Wait!" You looked at Luna. "What if he's just taking a leak?"

You stared at her for a moment. "What?"

Suddenly, the door opened, revealing Draco Malfoy with red and puffy eyes. You noticed that his sleeves were rolled down, hiding the Dark Mark. "The door got stuck. That's why I couldn't open the door soon."

"You should've answered." You frowned at him.

Draco managed to let out a soft chuckle in order to give you some relief. "I'm fine, (Y/n)."

You held his right arm, and Draco was relieved that you didn't grab his left arm. "Come on, Draco." You turned to Luna and waved. "Thank you, Luna. See you later."

Luna nodded and waved. "See you later."

You were resting by the Black Lake with your friends and Draco, sitting under a tree as you all stared at the view in front of you.

"I can't believe it." Ron chuckled. "We're back at Hogwarts, and Voldemort is finally gone."

"You mean Voldy McNonose?" You asked, snickering.

Hermione laughed. "Oh, my God. You still remember that silly nickname you made back in our sixth year?"

"Sixth year..." Draco sighed. "I mostly have bad memories there..."

"Like me casting a dangerous spell on you." Harry reminded. "Believe me, I still am regretful for that."

"Yeah, you almost killed me." Draco scoffed as he shook his head. He adjusted his sit and lowered his body down so he could lay his head on your shoulder.

"So, we're just gonna joke about it?" You frowned slightly. "That one was one of the worst days I had in my life and I don't think I can still forgive Harry for that."

"Potter had already paid the price by saving our arses from the Dark Lord." Draco shrugged. "But yeah, I'm still pretty pissed about him almost killing me."

Harry chuckled. "Whoops."

Draco lifted his head up and snapped his head towards Harry. "Did you just call me a wuss?"

Harry widened his eyes and put his hands in surrender, shaking his head violently. "N-No! No! I said, whoops!"

Draco playfully rolled his eyes and laid his head back to your shoulder again. "Yeah, right."

Harry frowned. "No, really!"

You laughed while Hermione giggled. "But hey, at least there are some happy memories we got in our sixth year!"

"Like Ronald winning a Quidditch match." Hermione beamed.

"Or when (Y/n) and Malfoy finally got together." Ron grinned, earning a playful nudge from you.

"Harry and Ginny finally got together that year as well." You rolled your eyes with a smile. You looked at Draco, who was quiet and staring at the lake. "Draco, are you alright?"

"I... just..." Draco sighed. "It was also the same year when Dumbledore died..."

Harry's mouth shut, Hermione's smile faded, Ron looked away, while you looked at Draco worriedly. "Draco, are you seriously blaming yourself for his death?" Draco nodded, causing you to sigh. "Dray, how many times do I have to tell you? You shouldn't blame yourself. You didn't kill him."

"But I was the reason why he was killed." Draco snapped as he sat up straight and lifted his head from your shoulder. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair.

Harry frowned. "I agree with her, mate. It wasn't your fault. I was there when it happened and I saw everything. You didn't have a choice. Dumbledore wouldn't blame you for his death."

Draco was silent, not answering and avoiding your eyes. You placed your hand on his shoulder. "Please, love. Don't blame yourself."

Draco refused to look at you. "It was my fault why many died. It was my fault why Dumbledore died. It was my fault why you guys suffered." Finally, he looked at you with tears forming in his eyes. "I'm so sorry..."

Before you could talk, Draco instantly stood up and walked away, leaving you and your friends. You were about to stand up, but Harry stopped you. "Don't. Give him time."

You sighed. "I just wish I could help him realize that he wasn't to blame for what happened." You glanced at where Draco had gone. "It's probably survivor's guilt, so we need to help him get through this. We all need to get through this. Together."
