"You're not still mad at him, are you?" You asked Hermione as the four of you walked your way to Xenophilius Lovegood's house through a field.
Hermione glanced at Ron, who was walking in front of you with Harry. "I'm always mad at him."
"Keep off the Dirigible Plums." Ron read the sign outside the Lovegoods' abode.
Xenophilius Lovegood finally opened the door. "What is it? Who are you? What do you want?" He asked.
Harry stepped forward. "Hello, Mr. Lovegood. I'm Harry Potter. We met a few months ago. Could we come in?"
Xenophilius examined the four of you first before letting you and your friends inside his humble home. You all sat down as he gave you and your friends cups of tea.
"Where is Luna?" You asked Mr. Lovegood curiously.
"Luna?" Xenophilius shrugged. "I don't know. She'll be along."
You scanned down at your tea before taking a sip with your friends following your actions. Your eyes slightly widened, and you softly gulped the tea as you casually set the teacup down on your lap. 'No offense, Luna, but I don't like how your father makes tea.'
"So... how can I help you, Mr. Potter?" Xenophilius asked.
Harry cleared his throat. "Well, actually... it was about something that you were wearing around your neck at the wedding. A symbol."
Xenophilius pulled out his necklace, showing you and your friends the pendant. "You mean this?"
"Yes." Harry nodded as he came closer to touch the pendant. "That one exactly. What we've wondered is... what is it?"
"What is it? Well... it's the sign of the Deathly Hallows, of course."
"The what?" The four of you asked in unison.
"The Deathly Hallows." He repeated. "I assume you're all familiar with the Tale of the Three Brothers?"
You, Hermione, and Ron nodded. "Yes."
Harry shook his head. "No."
Xenophilius glanced at Harry for a moment of disbelief. Hermione pulled out something from her bag. "I have it in here." She opened the book and started reading. "There were once three brothers, who were traveling along a lonely winding road... at twilight...."
"Midnight." Ron interrupted. You raised a brow at him while Hermione gave him a stern look. "Mum always said midnight."
When Ron noticed the looks that he received, he looked back at Hermione. "But twilight's fine. Better, actually."
"Do you want to read it?" Hermione asked, giving him the book.
Ron shook his head. "No, no. It's fine."
You watched as Xenophilius glanced at his window, and you looked at him suspiciously while Hermione sighed and continued the story. "There were once three brothers who were traveling along a lonely winding road at twilight. In time, the brothers reached a river too treacherous to pass."
You looked back at Hermione and kept the pocket watch back into your pocket. "But being learned in the magical arts, the three brothers simply waved their wands... and made a bridge. Before they could cross, however, they found their path blocked by a hooded figure."
Hermione paused for a moment and looked at you and the others. "It was Death, and he felt cheated. Cheated because travelers usually drowned in the river. But Death was cunning. He pretended to congratulate the three brothers on their magic and said that each had earned a prize for having been clever enough to evade him."
You leaned closer to Hermione to see the text inside the book as she continued reading. "The oldest asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence. So Death fashioned him a wand from the elder tree that stood nearby. The second brother decided he wanted to humiliate Death even further and asked for the power to recall loved ones from the grave. So Death plucked a stone from the river and offered it to him."
Hermione flipped a page. "Finally, Death turned to the third brother. A humble man... he asked for something that allowed him to go from that place without being followed by Death. And so it was that Death reluctantly handed over his own Cloak of Invisibility."
Harry sat up straight when he heard the Cloak of Invisibility. "The first brother traveled to a distant village where, with the Elder Wand in hand, he killed a wizard with whom he once had quarreled. Drunk with the power that the Elder Wand had given him, he bragged of his invincibility. But that night, another wizard stole the wand and slit the brother's throat for good measure. And so Death took the first brother for his own."
Ron leaned against his chair as he continued listening. "The second brother journeyed to his home, where he took the stone and turned it thrice in his hand. To his delight, the girl he'd once hoped to marry before her untimely death... appeared before him. Yet, soon she turned sad and cold, for she did not belong in the mortal world. Driven mad with hopeless longing, the second brother killed himself so as to join her. And so Death took the second brother.
You frowned and looked down. "As for the third brother, Death searched for many years but was never able to find him. Only when he had attained a great age did the youngest brother shed the Cloak of Invisibility and give it to his son. He then greeted Death as an old friend and went with him gladly departing this life as equals."
You smiled at Hermione. "Your voice is really soothing when you read." You complimented. Hermione smiled back at you. "Thanks."
"So there you are." Xenophilius. spoke. "Those are the Deathly Hallows."
Harry shook his head. "I'm sorry, sir. I still don't quite understand."
Xenophilius looked around for a paper and a pen. "Where's that pen I had?" He muttered to himself. You and your friends followed him, and he drew a line on the paper. "The Elder Wand. The most powerful wand ever made."
He drew a circle on the line. "The Resurrection Stone." After that, he drew a triangle outside the line and the circle. "The Cloak of Invisibility. Together, they make the Deathly Hallows. Together, they make one master of Death."
"That mark was on a grave in Godric's Hollow." Hermione pointed out. "Uh, Mr. Lovegood, does the Peverell family have something to do with the Deathly Hallows?"
"Uh, Yes, Ignotus-excuse me, and his brothers Cadmus and Antioch... are thought to be the original owner of the Hallows... and therefore the inspiration for the story." He looked at the pot nervously, making you more suspicious of him.
"U-Uhh, but your tea's gone cold." He noticed. "Don't go. I'll be right back." He said before going downstairs.
"Let's get out of here," Ron said as he gathered his things. "I'm not drinking anymore of that stuff, hot or cold."
The four of you headed downstairs, following Xenophilius. "Thank you for, sir," Hermione said, causing Xenophilius to jump in surprise and turn around to see the four of you.
"You forgot the water." Ron blurted out.
"Water?" Xenophilius asked.
"For the tea."
Xenophilius thought for a moment before chuckling. "Did--? Did I? How silly of me." He made his way on the other side of his kitchen, preparing another tea.
"It's no matter." You reassured him. "You don't have to. We should be going anyway."
Xenophilius suddenly threw his pots away, creating loud noises causing you to flinch, and held Hermione's arm in surprise. "No, you can't!" Xenophilius yelled.
"Sir?" Harry asked as Xenophilius frantically made his way to the door and slammed his hand on it, blocking you and your friend's way out.
Xenophilius turned around to see you and your friends with tears forming in his eyes. "You're my only hope." He said. "They were angry, you see, about what I'd been writing. So they took her. They took my Luna."
He took a step forward and placed his hand on his chest. "My Luna." He lifted his arm and pushed Harry's hair away from his forehead to see his scar. "But it's really you that they want."
"Who took her, sir?" Harry asked as he put Xenophilius' hand down.
"Voldemort."
Suddenly, Death Eaters started attacking you and your friends. The four of you crouched down and moved away to avoid being hit by the spells. Xenophilius walked outside his home. "Stop! I've got him!"
When you found your friends, you crawled your way towards them until you felt someone grab your ankle.
Your screams were heard by your friends, who immediately stood up snd shot a spell to those Death Eaters around. Harry found you unconscious on the arms of a Death Eater. The Death Eater showed his face and smirked. "You're next, Potter."
Before Harry could shoot a spell towards him, the Death Eater Disapparate away with you. "(Y/n), no!" He yelled.
Hermione looked around. "Where is she? Where's (Y/n)?"
"We got to go!" Ron yelled.
The trio Disapparated and arrived at a forest. "That treacherous little bleeder!" Ron exclaimed. "Is there no one we can trust?"
"They kidnapped her because he supported me," Harry told Ron, defending Xenophilius. "He was just desperate."
"Yeah, and because of that (Y/n) was taken!" Ron groaned in anger.
Hermione sniffled, and she quickly wiped her tears away. "I'll do the enchantments." She announced before standing up.
Ron stopped her. "I'll do it."
"No, Ron, I can do it by myse--"
"Then I'll come with you." Ron insisted. Hermione sighed and nodded.

You fluttered your eyes open and found yourself lying on the cold floor. You groaned in pain and laid your back against the ground, facing the ceiling and noticing that your hands were tied. Panic consumed you when your wand was nowhere to be found.
"Little Stark is awake!"
You gasped and jumped in surprise when you heard Bellatrix Lestrange's cackles echoing around the large and empty room. You forced yourself to sit up and saw a man with a pale face and disheveled long blonde hair with his worried wife. Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy.
"Good to finally see you again, dear!" Bellatrix beamed as she patted your head. "When was it the last time we saw each other, hm?"
When you didn't answer, Bellatrix answered instead. "Oh, that's right! When you were fighting at the Ministry of Magic against the wrong side." Bellatrix lightly tapped your cheek before walking around you. "You just wasted your potential! You could've been a great ally to the Dark Lord."
"I would rather die than to side with him." You spat.
Bellatrix shot you a look before chuckling maniacally. "Careful with your words. They might come true." She approached you and lifted your chin up using the tip of her wand. "Now tell me, little one. Where's Harry Potter?"
"Like I'd tell you!" You hissed.
Narcissa closed her eyes when she heard Bellatrix pulling her dagger out and creating a cut on your cheek with one swift move. "Spoiled little brat! You'll never get the chance to see the light of day if you don't tell me where he is!"
Lucius leaned against Narcissa. "Where's Draco?"
"Lucius, please." Narcissa pleaded in a soft voice. "We can't bring him here to look at her like this. He'll break--"
"Yes!" Bellatrix gasped, clapping her hands in joy. "Yes, yes! Do bring Draco over here! This will be a pleasant surprise for him."
You looked at Bellatrix while Narcissa shook her head. "Bella, I don't think that's a good idea."
"Cissy, don't be such a party-pooper. After all, it's been months since Draco has seen any of his schoolmates."
Just on time, Draco passed by the room with a glass of water in his hand. Unfortunately, his aunt spotted him. "Draco!" She called out. "I've got a surprise for you, sweetie!"
Draco groaned as he set his glass down and walked inside the room. "I'm not really in the moo--" His feet slowly stopped walking, and his eyes widened to see you sitting on the ground with hands tied together from behind and your left cheek bleeding from a cut that Bellatrix had given you. You stared at him in the eyes, and you realized he had the same eyes as the boy you saw in the picture.
"(Y/n)?" Draco croaked out.
You were speechless. You finally saw him. The blonde boy whose face was always a blur in your dreams was finally standing just a few feet away from you, flabbergasted. You couldn't believe your eyes. You finally saw Draco Malfoy.
"Such a reunion!" Bellatrix cheered, clapping her hands. "You two would look great as a couple! Too bad she's a Gryffindor and a threat to the Dark Lord."
Bellatrix turned to Draco. "Draco, do the honors of taking your old friend down to the cellar."
Draco shook his head. "No... I-I can't."
"Draco," Lucius warned. "Don't make her tell you twice."
Draco looked away from you as he approached you and lifted you up. Bellatrix snickered as she stroked the tip of her wand on her cheek. "Ah, gentle, I see. You have a soft spot on her, Draco, I can tell."
Draco firmly gripped your arm as he looked away from you. He sighed and pulled you out of the room, leaving his parents with his laughing aunt. He glanced at the way to the cellar before shaking his head and bringing you upstairs instead.
Your eyes widened. "You gremlin, where are you taking me!"
Draco frowned. "I can't believe I'm missing you calling me a ferret."
Draco opened the door to his room and pushed you inside before locking the door once he entered. He turned around and saw you glaring at him. "Oppugno!" Numerous papers started attacking Draco, which he managed to dodge in time. Draco snapped his head towards you in surprise when he found that you had no wand for you to cast the spell. "I learned a few charms that don't require my wand, and I would gladly cast them on you!"
"(Y/n)--"
"Even if it means to summon thousands of pillows just to stop you from coming near me--"
"(Y/n)!" Draco exclaimed. "Calm down, will you? I'm not going to hurt you."
You calmed down for a moment as you let Draco slowly walk closer to you. You kept your stare at him as he was finally standing in front of you. His hands made their way behind you and started untying your hands; his eyes kept fixed, staring at yours. As you stare at his eyes, you can feel warmth building inside you and a fluttery feeling in your stomach. His fingertips lightly brushed on your skin as he undid the rope that was tied around your wrists.
Once finished, Draco wiped the blood off your cheek. He brought you to his bed and looked for medical supplies around his room. When he found them, you slightly sat back when he sat beside you and applied cure and bandages on your wound. He soon finished but spotted the necklace he had given you before he left. His ring. "You're wearing it." He softly gasped. "Did you kept--"
You quickly took the wand that was once in his pocket and tackled him to the ground. Draco hissed in pain. "Ouch." He whispered. He looked up to sed you on top of him with his wand in your hand, pointing towards him. "Oh..."
"Why would a Slytherin befriend a Gryffindor when he knows the strained relationship between the two houses?" You asked as you tilted your head. "I recall Hermione saying we were friends... apparently."
"It's almost like you don't believe her."
"Because we were something more, weren't we?"
Draco clenched his jaw as he stared at you. "Did she tell you?"
You looked away for a moment. "Not everything. She said she and the others kept a promise to you. That you will tell me everything, and they have to keep their mouths shut."
"But they didn't." Draco scoffed. "If they did, you wouldn't be on top of me right now with my wand in your hand."
Your eye twitched, and you leaned his wand closer to his neck. "Bring them back."
"Bring what back?"
"Bring my memories back, you nincompoop!"
Draco stifled a laugh from the bad nickname you gave him until he abruptly stopped when your head was lowered down, and he heard your soft cries. Draco sat up and carefully pulled you closer to lean your head to his shoulder while you were still sitting on his lap. Draco brushed your hair in comfort while you trembled as you cried. "You were a bloody menace." You whispered.
"I was?" He asked in a low voice.
"You were always in my dreams, but your face was always a blur." You explained. "And.. and then I could hear your voice, but it was muffled. It was as if you were making sure that you wanted me not to recognize you."
You leaned back and looked at his disheveled platinum blonde hair. You rose your hands to fix them before slightly massaging his scalp. "Your hair gave it away."
Draco sighed out a laugh. "Usually, people say that eyes or lips gave it away. You're telling me my hair gave it away that there was a person you have forgotten?"
You nodded as you ran your fingers through his hair. "It looked soft. It's softer than what I expected." You looked at him as your hands traveled down to his cheeks. "Please... just bring back my memories of you. I want to remember you."
"I can't." Draco shook his head. "I don't want you to suffer if I end up being dead."
"Then let me suffer." You replied. "I could take it. But it's hell when I couldn't even remember the man who has an important part of my life. I'd rather remember the pain and happiness we both shared than to forget the moments we had together."
You cupped his cheeks and wiped his tears off when you saw them slipping from his eye. "You complete me."
Draco closed his eyes as he slowly took his wand from you. He pulled you into a hug, and you felt the tip of his wand leaning against the side of your head. He began muttering a spell, and slowly, thousands of memories flashed before your eyes.
Draco held you closer as you continued to consume the memories that were flooding back to you.
"I don't think I won't stop teasing you about being a ferret, ferret boy."
"If you try teasing me again, I might look for a way to shut you up."
"Then I'll be looking forward to it, ferret."
"(Y/n)?" Draco asked worriedly. "Are you alright?"
"I'm sorry."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I know how much you loathe Death Eaters."
"I don't hate you because your father killed mine. You had no involvement around his murder. For all I remember, you were there for me when I was grieving. And you didn't know."
You slowly raised your arms up, hugging Draco.
"I want us to face the danger together and eventually protect each other. No matter how dangerous the future will be, I still want to be with you."
"And I to you too."
Draco chuckled in relief. "(Y/n)?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
You leaned back to stare at Draco with your eyes widened. Draco stared back at you unsurely. "Um, (Y/n)? Did I get the spell wrong? Shit. I should've waited for Granger to help me with-mph!"
Draco's sentence interrupted when you silenced him with your lips against his. Draco smiled before kissing you back and pulling you closer to him. You wrapped your arms around his neck as your lips synced together. You were in bliss. It's been too long since you felt his lips to yours, and you wished the moment could last forever.
However, you have to stop for oxygen and a reminder you remembered just a few seconds ago.
"Remind me to slap him if I ever see him again."
In a quick act, your hand slapped across Draco's cheek, earning a loud gasp from the blonde boy. Draco touched his cheek and stared at you in disbelief. "You just slapped me."
"That's for erasing my memories of you without even me knowing about it."
"It wouldn't have mattered if you knew or don't because you would have still forgotten about it!"
"Hermione could tell me."
"Granger is not--" His sentence was cut off again when you slapped him on his other cheek. "What in the bloody hell was that for now?"
"Just felt like doing it because you deserved it."
Draco scrunched up his nose to think of a witty comment, but he sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I did. I really am sorry. I've done multiple faults, and you still manage to forgive me. I promise I won't do anything else to upset you."
"Promises can be broken." You laid your hand on top of his. "Make it as a deal and seal it with a kiss."
Draco chuckled. "That's cheesy, love. Where did you learn that?"
"From loving you." You smiled at him, earning a blush from the blonde. You could tell it had been a while since he had blushed, and for the first time in a while, his colors had somewhat restored back to normal. "But don't think I have fully forgiven you yet."
"I still don't quite understand. The spell should've completely worked. You shouldn't have dreamt or remember the bits of me."
"Maybe you were reluctant? Some spells requires confidence and no hesitation."
Draco's eyes widened when he realized something. "Shit. I forgot that you still need to go down to the cellar."
You frowned. "But I have to get back to Harry. And I don't want to go down the cellar."
"I'll find a way, but first, you have to be at the cellar with the other prisoners, or my aunt will kill you.
