"Hey, Stark!"

You turned around to see Draco, alone, running towards you. You assumed that Hermione was with the two boys so you were looking for them around the castle. When you saw Draco, you decided to ignore him and walking away. Draco pouted and finally caught up to you, grabbing your wrist. "Where are you going?" Draco asked as he breathed.

"Why do you care?" You snapped.

"I'm asking you nicely, Stark." Draco frowned.

You sighed. "Looking for my friends. Why'd you ask?"

"I was wondering if we could talk," Draco replied as he scratched the back of his neck. "I'm going to walk with you until you reach your Common Room."

You raised a brow in confusion. "Why?"

"Just let me. Please?" Draco pleaded. You shrugged then started to walk with him. There was an awkward silence until Draco spoke. "I don't want us to have any bad blood between us so I like to apologize."

You stopped on your tracks and looked at him who also stopped walking. "What?"

"I'm sorry for what I did. My actions made you upset with me. I was not nice and I'm sorry." Draco was looking down, avoiding your eyes. You stuck your lower lip out as you thought about his apology and started walking again. He noticed this so he started walking with you too.

"Insulting my friends wasn't nice." You spoke so he looked at you. "I consider you as my friend too, Malfoy, because I want to give our friendship a chance not just because of our families. And I don't want my friends hating and insulting each other."

Draco sighed. There was an awkward silence again. Breaking the silence, Draco spoke up again. "Your sister is quite sweet by the way." He stated, changing the subject.

You looked at Draco and smiled. "Well, she thinks you're handsome."

"She thinks so?" Draco asked with a smirk. "Well, it runs in the family. You know, the good looks." He winked making you laugh.

Draco smiled when he saw you laughed. You noticed him staring making you raise your eyebrow. "What?"

Draco shook his head. "Nothing. I think I should go find Crabbe and Goyle. I think they're hanging out with Pansy."

"Well, good luck looking for your friends."Β

He smiled and waved goodbye as he left. You continued to walk around until you found your friends by the hallway, looking for some trophies, medals, and awards of Gryffindor from Quidditch. You soon joined then and hung your arms around Ron and Hermione. "Found you!"

"(Y/n)!" Harry greeted. "Where have you been? We've been looking for you."

"I got lost." You looked at what they were looking as Ron talked. "(Y/n), you wouldn't believe this! Harry's father was a Seeker too!"

Harry was appointed as the Gryffindor Seeker to the team for Quidditch and it was surprising that his father was also a Seeker himself too.Β

Hermione nodded. "And not just Harry's father." She dragged you towards the Slytherin achievements and pointed her finger to a picture and badge. Harry and Ron followed behind. You stepped closer to see your father in the Quidditch with his teammates.

"Your father was a Chaser!"

You softly gasped in admiration. "I didn't know he was on Quidditch."

The four of you headed to the stairs to return to the Common Room. Ron caught up to Harry while you walked beside Hermione. "I'm telling you, guys, it's spooky," Ron told you and Harry. "She knows more about you two than yourselves."

"Who doesn't?" Harry replied.

Before you could talk, the stairs started to move in a different direction causing the four of you to hold on to the railings. "What's happening?" Harry asked.

"The staircases change, remember?" Hermione reminded. The stairs stopped, leading it to the third floor. Harry glanced to his friends. "Let's go this way."

"Before the staircase moves again."Β

You glanced back to the stairs and hesitated to follow the trio. "Shouldn't we just wait for the stairs to move again to go back to the Common Room?"

The three didn't listen causing you to sigh and followed them inside a dark room. The forbidden room. You and your friends went inside.

"Does anybody feel like we shouldn't be here?" Ron asked.

"We're not supposed to be here," Hermione stated. "This is the third floor. It's forbidden."

You crossed your arms and frowned. "I told you guys that we should have just waited for the stairs. And how could the professors possibly believe that a single locked door could keep students away?"

A pillar suddenly ignited a fire, giving light to the cryptic room. Harry gulped. "Let's go." Harry turned around and spotted a cat. "Oh no."

The cat meowed causing the four of you to step back. "It's Filch's cat!" Hermione exclaimed.

"Run!"

All of you ran but the cat stood still. The four of you ran through the room as pillars started giving light with fire. Harry saw a door nearby. "Quick, let's hide through that door!" Harry tried to open it and but it didn't budge. "Ugh! It's locked!"

"That's it, we're done for!" Ron whimpered.

Hermione rolled her eyes and walked towards the door, pushing Harry away. "Oh, move over!"

You watched Hermione as she waved her hand towards the knob. "Alohamora!"

Once the door was unlocked, Hermione glanced at you and the others. "Get in." She went inside first then the three of you followed her. Ron closed the door since he was the last person to get inside. "Alohamora?"

"Standard Book of Spells, chapter seven," Hermione retorted.

You leaned your head against the door to listen if Filch was inside. You heard a distinct voice belonging to Filch. After asking his cat, you hear footsteps retreating. "Filch is gone." You announced.

"Probably thinks this door's locked," Ron replied. "That was close."

"It was locked," Hermione noted.

"And for good reason..." You heard Harry responded. You, Hermione, and Ron looked at Harry and saw three-headed dogs were sleeping until they slowly woke up. Your eyes widened and so did your friends.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!" All of you screamed as you left the room and closed the door.

"Come on!" You exclaimed as the four of you went back outside. The three of you managed to get back safely to the Gryffindor Common Room. "That was close."

"What do they think they're doing? Keeping a thing like that locked up in a school." Ron protested.Β

Hermione rolled her eyes. "You don't use your eyes, do you? Didn't you see what it was standing on?"

"I wasn't looking at its feet!" Ron debated. "I was a bit preoccupied with its heads. Or maybe you didn't notice; there were three!"

"Why was it there anyway?" Harry asked.

"It was guarding something," Hermione replied. "It was standing on a trapdoor under those paws. Which means it wasn't there by accident."

"So, it's guarding something?" You asked. "But what's inside it?"

Hermione sighed. "That's what I don't know." She looked at the two boys. "Now, if you two don't mind we're going back to bed," You glanced at Hermione and nodded anyway. "Before either of you can come up with a clever idea to get us killed. Or worse, expelled."

She grabbed your hand and went inside the Girls' Dormitories.

"She needs to sort out her priorities," Ron stated.

You looked at Hermione who's about to change into her sleeping wear. "I can't seem to forget from my mind about that trapdoor."

"To be honest, I'm worried," Hermione replied. "But let's worry that tomorrow. Oh, and by the way, where were you a while ago? We couldn't find you."

You looked at her and sat on your bed. "I was returning a book in the library and got lost while looking for the three of you but Draco stopped by and talked to me."

Hermione didn't answer for a moment. Then a smirk appeared on her face. "Draco Malfoy always has his eyes on you, didn't you notice that?"

You shrugged. "No." You said simply and laid down. "Maybe he's just concerned because we're friends?"

Hermione rolled her eyes with a smile and went to her bed. You started to pet your owl and when you felt tired, you fell asleep.

"Mummy! Can you tell me more stories about you and daddy?"

You shot your eyes open and quickly sat up. You looked everywhere and saw Hermione still asleep and so does the girls. You sighed and prepared yourself for your class, not caring if you were early.

When you're finally done, you looked at yourself in the mirror. Then you started to wonder about the voice in your dream.

'Mummy and daddy?' You thought. You fixed your hair and decided to wear a headband. 'It's a boy. But it wasn't familiar to me.'

You went to your classes without Hermione. You went inside and sat, leaving space for whoever's going to sit. You looked everywhere and saw that there are still few students in the classroom. You took out your things needed for the class and waited.

A brown-haired boy with dark brown eyes suddenly came in and sat beside you, panting. You looked worriedly at him and noticed that he's from Hufflepuff. "Are you okay?"

He nodded. "Yeah. Yeah. T-Totally fine. I don't want to be late for class."

You giggled. "Well, you're early. I'm (Y/n) by the way."

The boy smiled. "Peter. Peter Ambrose."

As you two waited for your teacher, you two talked and some students are coming including Harry, Hermione, and Ron. And of course, Draco with his two friends. It was nice to have a friend from Hufflepuff.

"Wait, so you're parents are Edward and Vivian Stark?"

You nodded with a smile. "Yep. My dad's a Slytherin while my mum's from Hufflepuff."

"My mum's a Hufflepuff too! My dad's a Ravenclaw." His smile faded away as he lowered his head and sighed. "Before I got to Hogwarts, they were gone."

You frowned and patted his back. "I'm sorry."

He just sadly smiled and looked at you. "It's alright but thank you."

"Good morning class!"

A short-legged man entered the class and stood in the tower of books. It was Professor Flitwick. The students greeted back. "The lesson we're going to learn today is levitation. One of a wizard's most rudimentary skills is levitation or the ability to make objects fly. Do you have your feathers?"

Hermione raised hers as Professor Flitwick nodded. "Good. Now, don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practicing. The swish and flick. Everyone."

You and the other students grabbed your wands and swished and flicked your wrist to the feather. Flitwick nodded in approval. "Good. Oh, and enunciate. Wingardium Leviosa. Off you go, then."

Students tried and repeatedly said the same spell all over again.Β None of them succeeded, neither did Draco nor Harry.

"Wingardium Leviosar!" Ron repeatedly waved his hand violently causing Hermione to stop him. "Stop, stop, stop. You're going to take someone's eye out. Besides, you're saying it wrong."

Ron looked at her with a confused face.

"It's Leviosa not Leviosar."

"Do it then if you're so clever," Ron demanded. She pointed her wand at her feather while you did the same thing.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" You both waved your hand as the two feathers of yours and Hermione levitated. Harry and the rest of the students looked at your feather and Hermione's.

Peter looked at the feathers, amused. "Wow!"

Flitwick's mouth hung open in awe as he watched two feathers dancing around in the air. "Splendid! Marvelous works, Ms. Stark and Ms. Granger! 20 points for Gryffindor!"

Hermione glanced at Ron who was looking up at her floating feather. Ron frowned before looking away with a huff and hugging his books in annoyance.

"That was bloody brilliant, (Y/n)!" Peter cheered. "You and Hermione are the brightest witches here in Gryffindor."

You smiled at Peter, a small blush forming on your cheeks. "Thanks, Peter."

Seamus, seeing the feather, determined to levitate his. "Wingardium Leviosa!"

He pronounced the spell right but he made the wrong gesture so his feather exploded right in front of him and Harry. Flitwick, including you and the rest of the students, quickly turned to Seamus in surprise.

"I think we're going to need another feather over here, Professor," Harry responded as the burnt feather slowly hit the table.

Draco watched as you and Peter talked. He saw you teaching him the spell so Peter could get it right. He frowned and placed his elbow on the desk, resting his chin on his palm, huffing.

"Draco, could you teach me the spell?" Pansy asked.

"I couldn't even do the spell, Pansy." Draco sighed. He tried once again and finally, it levitated. A smile grew on his face as he admired the feather.

You and Hermione walked out of the room together with Harry, Ron, Seamus, and Dean just in front of you. The boys were unaware that you two were just behind. Hermione was talking about the spell you two performed in Flitwick's class. She looked at you and she suddenly smiled. "I'm pretty sure that Draco--"

"For the third time, Draco and I are just friends." You laughed. You were about to greet the boys until Ron spoke.

"She said, 'it's Leviosa not Leviosar.' She's a nightmare! Honestly! No wonder she only has (Y/n) as her friend! She hasn't got any more friends!"

You gasped quietly from what Ron said. You looked at Harry who wasn't laughing nor encouraging his friend's words. You looked over to Hermione whose smiled disappeared and was replaced with a frown. Tears streamed down her face as she quickly walked away, bumping Ron and leaving you. The boys stopped walking as they looked at Hermione walking away, sobbing.

"I think she heard you," Harry told Ron.

You caught up to the boys and quickly slapped Ron's arm. Ron winced and looked at you. "Ouch! Whaβ€”(Y/n)?"

"Honestly, Ronald? She's just trying to help you!" You angrily declared. "No wonder why she's not trusting you! She's afraid that you guys are going to talk behind her back! Guess what? You talked behind her back!"

Ron looked down, ashamed for what he had done. Harry walked towards you. "Where is Hermione going now?"

You looked down. "I-I don't know...I should follow her before anything happens to her." Harry nodded as the boys watched you ran away, chasing after Hermione.
