Later that day Maia sat with Luna and Anthony under one of the trees helping Luna with school work.

Glenn and Maggie left for their pharmacy run, yet both of the Koa twins were jealous?

Maia sat reading a book with Luna.

"What's this word?" Luna pointed to a long word and Maia looked closer.

"I forgot how blind I am, uh wait." Maia chuckled softly and looked closer to the word squinting her eyes slightly.

"You look ridiculous." Anthony piped up as he was playing catch with Jose who had a

"Shut up." Maia rolled her eyes and sighed.

"It says accomplished, do you know what that means?" Maia turned to Luna and Jose sighed.

"She's eight, she's just a baby." Jose piped up and Anthony shook his head.

"I am not a baby!" Luna exclaimed.

"Are to!" Jose retorted.

"Am not!" Luna exclaimed back.

"Are to!" Jose snapped back.

"Am n-." Luna was cut off by Maia.

"No, both of you, quit it. Now do any of you know what accomplished means?" Maia asked with a stern look.

"You remind me of mom, that stupid look." Anthony replied and threw the ball to Jose which the 11 year old caught.

Maia rolled her eyes with a small smile.

"I'm not gonna wait around for an answer so, accomplished means you have done something, you accomplished a goal, or you've accomplished a mission." Maia explained to the kids.

"Rose, did you get that!" Maia exclaimed to Rosalyn who was sitting with Izraella, writing.

"Got it!" Rosalyn exclaimed with a thumbs up.

"Lara! What about you?" Maia yelled to the girl who was spinning.

"What!" Lara exclaimed back.

"Come sit down, little weirdo." Maia smiled as Lara came towards Maia as sat down next to her.

Maia chuckled slightly and sighed again.

"I think Anthony has the hots for Maggie." Luna whispered to Maia causing Maia to laugh.

"He definitely does." Maia said back with a smirk causing both of the sisters to send Anthony a mischievous smirk.

"Who does what?" Anthony turned to his two sisters in confusion.

"Lu, might be onto something." Maia smirked and shrugged, closing the book in her hand.

"What?" Anthony asked with a confused look, making him look innocent.

"She says you have the hots for a certain lady." Maia smirked and winked at Anthony causing him to groan.

"At least I'm not oblivious, if anyone has the hots for anyone, Maia has the hots for Glenny boy and vica versa." Anthony smirked, making Maia's smirk drop.

"I don't have the "hots" for anyone, especially not Glenn, okay? He's just my friend." Maia replied.

"Now that's where I have to come in." Izraella piped up.

"Never seen you care so much for a guy before, even when you were dating a guy." Izraella explained and Rosalyn snickered.

"What's wrong with that? Can I not care for someone's well-being?" Maia asked with a shrug.

"You're literally helpless, my god, both of you need to just get down to it already." Izraella groaned and rubbed a hand on her face.

Maia looked offended.

"I am not helpless." Maia groaned.

"Maia, don't even lie, you totally like Glenn and he definitely likes you." Lara shrugged.

"You're a 12 year old, what do you know about crushes hm?" Maia looked at Lara expectantly.

"I know that my brother really likes you, so don't even try and deny it." Lara tapped her index finger on Maia's nose and Maia scoffed.

"You're all blind." Maia rolled her eyes and slumped back against a tree.

"And who was the one who couldn't read 'accomplished' like five minutes ago?" Anthony asks Maia sarcastically.

"Okay haha, smartass." Maia rolled her eyes and Anthony made the decision to throw the ball in his hand towards Maia hitting her directly in the nose.

Maia yelped in pain.

"What the fuck?!" Maia exclaimed and coughed, she was baffled to say the least.

It was just her luck that she had a brother that hurt her on purpose.

But luckily for her the ball was soft, however that didn't make much of a difference.

"I have a broken nose, dickhead, do you want one too?" Maia winced and closed her eyes trying to ignore the pain throbbing from her nose.

The kids started laughing, causing Izraella to join in afterwards.

Anthony's first instinct was to run, so he did.

Growing up with a sibling, you chase one another.

Anthony and Maia were extremely childish around each other that it was quite wholesome.

Both of them at this point had gotten their minds off of their jealousy, not thinking of Glenn and Maggie anymore and focused on the task ahead of them.

Anthony: Finding safety.

Maia: Chasing Anthony

Anthony took off running and Maia groaned before standing up not long afterwards.

"Dickhead!" Maia exclaimed as she inched closer to Anthony as they ran.

They both ran past Hershel and Rick who arrived soon before and Glenn and Maggie who arrived around the same time.

"What the hell?" T-Dog sounded confused at the sight of the two chasing each other, or at least Maia chasing Anthony.

Maia eventually caught Anthony yanking him by his shirt and hit him at the back of the head.

"Ow!" Anthony yelped in pain.

"That's for throwing a ball at my nose." Maia rolled her eyes and saw Glenn and Maggie staring at them in confusion.

"Oh hey guys." Maia fixed the bandage on her nose and gave an innocent smile.

"You two are so unserious, it's upsetting." Giselle walked up to the twins with a chuckle.

Everyone burst out laughing at the sight.

Anthony and Maia were siblings, twins, this made it all the more evident.

Glenn and Maggie had gotten back and Glenn's first instinct was to go check up on his sister.

After seeing the small interaction between Maia and Anthony as Maia chased after her twin brother he found it considerably entertaining.

Glenn and Maggie got there twenty minutes after they left for the pharmacy.

Maggie and Glenn were both becoming good friends, Glenn had seen how Maggie looked at Anthony.

He knew she found him attractive and he thought that maybe if he spoke to her about it he could find out more for Anthony.

Anthony wasn't necessarily the most bold guy but Glenn could tell when he liked a girl more than just the way they looked.

Maggie had told Glenn that she was lonely, that she felt lonely, that she had no one to love.

Glenn thought to himself before he said anything so, he had just listened.

He said that if she spoke to Anthony maybe she'd find him interesting.

Then Maggie started asking questions and one that absolutely stumped Glenn was the one she asked about Maia.

"What's with you and Maia? She seems nice."

Those were Maggie's exact words.

Glenn answered with a nervous stutter and Maggie took the answer with a chuckle.

Maia was leaning against a tree and reading a book, every few seconds you could see her squinting in order to see the words.

Everyone was off making conversation but she however was having time to herself.

The kids were playing tag and the others were making conversation amongst themselves.

Before Glenn could walk up to Maia, Lori came up to him.

"Did you find it?" Lori asked Glenn in a bit of a rush and he took his backpack off his shoulder.

He took out a pregnancy test for Lori and she hid it behind her back and under her flannel.

He didn't say anything in reply, he just walked off and sighed walking into Maia's direction.

Maia ultimately sighed in defeat as she put the book down in her lap.

Glenn walked up to Maia with a small smile.

"What you reading?" Glenn asked softly with his hands in his pockets.

"Little Women, or at least trying to." Maia sighed and leaned her head on the bark of the tree.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Glenn asked with a small chuckle at her evident defeat.

"I have shit eyesight. Can...Can you tell me what this says?" Maia furrowed her eyebrows slightly and reopened the book to the page she had been on.

Glenn stepped forward and looked a bit shocked.

"Uh sure, where?" He asked and leaned over Maia's shoulder, pretty close to her face.

"Uh...here." She scanned over the words with a squint and then pointed her finger to a sentence.

"Your father, Jo. He never loses patience, never doubts or complains, but always hopes and works and waits so cheerfully that one is ashamed to do otherwise before him." Glenn read relatively slowly, keeping in mind that Maia was listening and he looked over to her as she tried reading with him.

"It ends here." He pointed to a line in the book.

Maia turned her head to Glenn not noticing how close he had been leaning to her and when he looked at her too now.

They were practically inches away from each other and Maia cleared her throat and looked away before nodding.

"Uh thanks." She let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding in.

"Y-You're welcome." Glenn nodded, clearing his throat and stood up straight.

"Yeah." Maia nodded and sighed before standing up and dusting off her pants.

She saw Izraella and Rosalyn in the corner of her eye but she didn't want to acknowledge them, knowing she was going to get spoken to later.

"How was the uh, pharmacy run?" Maia spoke awkwardly and mentally face palmed at her slight stutter.

"Oh, it was alright, nothing really happened uh, Maggie said she might like Anthony though..." Glenn muttered the last part and Maia smiled.

"You're kidding?" Maia's eyes were wide now and Glenn furrowed his eyebrows.

"What?" He looked at her confused.

"Ha! I was right!" Maia exclaimed excitedly.

"Okay then..." Glenn nodded his head and Maia gave Glenn a sigh, getting that he didn't understand.

"It's a long story for another time." Maia sighed and Glenn nodded.

"Well uh, I'll see you around." Maia picked up the book from the ground and gave Glenn an awkward smile, before wincing slightly at the pain in her nose.

"Uh Maia, wait." Glenn called for Maia who turned around and looked at him expectantly.

"Can we talk for a second?" Glenn seemed nervous, however somewhat serious.

Maia was dreading this moment, she had a feeling she knew what he was going to talk to her about.

"Uh, sure." Maia nodded before inhaling sharply.

"Uhm, I...uh." Glenn shut his eyes and rubbed his eyebrows.

"Take your time." Maia reassured, before biting the inside of her cheek.

"Uh, back at the CDC, uh, I-I don't know of you uh remember this but we were drunk — or at least you were drunk and uh you...you kissed me that night uhm, I know it sounds totally and like utterly ridiculous but like...I just wanted to know if you remembered?" Glenn rambled and Maia's eyes widened slightly and she sighed.

"Uh, no...I don't remember, I'm...I'm sorry." Maia muttered and Glenn sighed deeply.

That was the biggest lie Maia has ever told.

She remembered everything, she had still been slightly drunk when it happened but she remembered it all.

Glenn looked slightly disappointed but didn't show it.

"I'm sorry if I did actually kiss you, I think that it would've been very out of character for me it's uhm, I- I'm sorry." Maia sighed, she felt her gut wrenching, she just lied to Glenn's face and he believed it.

"Oh no, no, it's not a problem, it meant nothing, it wasn't even a big deal." Glenn tried to play it nonchalantly but he ended up rambling.

Glenn took off his baseball cap and fiddled with it in his hands.

Maia felt her gut wrench even more when he said "it meant nothing", she sighed and nodded giving him a tight lipped smile trying to hide her disappointment.

"Well, uh good to uh know, again I'm sorry, if I remembered it I would tell you." Maia sighed and felt a pool of guilt fill in the pit of her stomach.

Again, one of the biggest lies she ever told.

"Oh yeah, that's okay...And sorry for the nose, it looks like it hurts." Glenn tried changing the subject and Maia nodded.

"It hurts like a bitch but it's not like it's something new, I've had a few broken noses in my lifetime." Maia chuckled nervously.

Glenn chuckled along with her, there was an awkward tension in the air.

"Still I'm sorry." He nodded, he really meant it.

"It's okay, don't worry about it." Maia gave him a small smile and nodded her head, she still felt that feeling in the pit of her stomach.

His words had been replaying in her head over and over again.

"It meant nothing." Those words kept replaying.

It was Maia's fault that they were even in this situation in the first place, she shouldn't have kissed him and none of this would've happened.

"Uh, I'll see you around?" Maia looked Glenn in the eye and he nodded.

"Oh yeah, I'll see you." He nodded and Maia sighed, taking that as her cue to leave.

Maia walked away from Glenn and towards Luna where she sat down next to Lori and Giselle.

She couldn't get rid of the feeling in her stomach.

It was an awful feeling, she hid her feelings, she was used to it and it was something she's good at.

What was making her feel this way?

Why was Glenn making her feel this way?

these two will have me in shambles, i cant handle.
this is a relatively short chapter because i pulled it out of my ass but that's okay, it's entertaining (hopefully)
we will get more of Anthony and Maggie next chapter and also a small little women quote.
Glenn and Maia are my children they need to get together already, and even though i'm the one writing the story i'm just a impatient as you guys
